Non traditional black dress, love the flow and fun collar.

I wish I'd taken a picture of this because it is really breathtaking. It's a little witchy but super elegant. Easy to wear - the neck is high and looks like it is cinched with the tie but it actually has a little hook. Pleated detail throughout and trim around/cut of the cap sleeve is really gorgeous, not to mention the neck which almost looks like feathers. Modest in cut - no cleavage (there is a keyhole at the neck but it isn't really open), length was to the bottom of my knee, and the pleats kind of balloon out a bit so it's not form fitting, although they cling a bit to your bust curves so I thought it was kind of sexy anyway. It's also quite sheer and mine also did not come with a slip of any kind so beware of that. However while the material itself is totally sheer, it is not all that sheer on. I wore it to work so I wore a black tank and skirt slip that I had, but I would probably wear it out to dinner at night with just a nude bra and boy shorts. It also would be fine with black tights and a black tank.

Loved this dress. I received so many compliments. Chic look with the ruffle high neck. And the pleats lay really nicely. Looser fit so could size down. Wish I owned this piece.

This dress has some great, witchy vibes. I felt a bit like a cross between Sabrina Spellman and Maleficent. Wish I had more occasions to wear it, the pleating is Divine.

I rented this for a work dinner, and wanted something that would hide my weight gain and be comfortable and cover my shoulders in the chilly late winter. I loved the neck detail, and I wore a size down than my usual, but I could even have gone for a size 4 because it is so big. The pleats are gorgeous and cut to help add a bit of shape, and I love the expensive feel of fabric, but it is a bit longer than I expected and felt frumpy with the shoes I brought to travel with me. It would look much better with heels instead of ankle boots unless they have a pointed toe. I had to buy standard tights to go with it because the fancy ones I brought were doing too much. I would say not to go overboard on accessories for this as the pleats stand on their own. I tried a belt with it and I didn't quite like it. So, not my favorite dress, but served its purpose! I wasn't hiding my belly all night lol

The outer piece is wonderful and very forgiving if you're not sure on sizing. That said, the slip has no stretch and runs small for certain. Once I belted it, I really loved it and definitely see myself wearing it out!

It was a great sheath dress to wear as oppose to a simple black dress. I wore it for a work holiday party and it was the appropriate length, shape, and neckline for the occasion.

This dress is shapeless, big, and baggy. Maybe a size down from normal would help. Best for 5ft 7 and taller. Went two inches below my knee. I still give it 4 stars as great pleats/craftsmanship. Nice slip. Claustrophobic neck if tied so left open. I liked it for a casual day at office with sneakers.

The black slip worn underneath fits snug, and the dress worn on top fits huge. Almost like a flowy nightgown. You may want to wear your own black slip with this. That said, the pleating and details are beautiful and the neckline screams to be photographed. Just not flattering at all full length without a belt. Was perfect for a giant dinner...no one could see my belly expand as I ate!

Those of us without visible breasts don't look good in dress tents. It may have been ok with a silkier fabric but it was a rough polyester. The slip was ok.

Love the pleating forgiving shape

I rented this and when it arrived I tried it on and immediately sent it back for a smaller size. I really look forward to wearing it, it's SO pretty and hangs really nice on, even given it's somewhat shapeless silhouette. I typically land between a 4 and 6 and I received the 4... but I could literally wear the 0. Which is what I'll be ordering next:)

I absolutely loved this dress, and it perfectly hid my 3 month baby bump. I thought the unique collar, overall baggy/boxy fit, and the length (just past the knees) gave it a chic, very "New York" vibe. The collar does give it a funkiness, which might not be for everyone, but I personally thought it was cool-looking. Most importantly for me, being pregnant, is that it was comfortable!! Based on other reviews, I didn't even bother to wear the tight slip that came with it, but instead just wore a comfy black camisole and black leggings underneath.

Super cute and mostly comfy – the ruffles at the neck were bothersome and with so much draping I would have killed for pockets! Size down!

I thought it would be a good fit seeing as I'm 32-weeks pregnant and the outer layer was nice and loose but the black slip underneath was way too tight and uncomfortable. And unfortunately I didn't have time before the event to go purchase a new slip.

Really huge! Weird. Too bad it is black because the detail is really lost in darker lighting. A very severe dress. Much longer than it looks on the model, even though I'm 5'7/5'8--I'm disappointed. Mid-calf.

This was a backup dress in case my first choice was a dud. I didn't love it for a wedding but it could work for a gallery opening or something similar.

I have very short hair and find it unflattering to wear garments with a high neck. I thought I could opt to leave the neck open on this one but it doesn't work - makes it look like an old school nightie.

This is a beautiful dress. Very nice quality. It's just so large. I normally wear a 12, but with RTR, I typically go up to a size 14 because designer clothes run smaller. Since the reviews said this dress is large, I went with my normal size 12. I was SWIMMING in it. I could have easily worn the 10, maybe even the 8. I ended up belting it, because my husband said it looked to "mumu-y" without the belt. The high neck is beautiful and makes this dress so fashion forward and chic. If I rented again, I'd go smaller so I could wear it without a belt.

Beautiful dress, but enormous. It fits like a tent. The model shows it as knee length, but it came to a few inches above my ankles.

This dress looked much shorter on the model. I am 5'7 and it hit at a strange length below my knees. The dress itself is beautiful and well made and would look great on someone a little taller and maybe more slender

While this dress was beautiful and the high neck detail was exquisite, the overall shape was very unflattering. I am 5'7" and it hung below my knees. Also an apple shape and often get asked the dreaded "pregnancy" question and would certainly have if I wore this dress. I couldn't bear to hear that question one more time.

I was excited for this conceptually - and the slip that went with it was so well made I assumed that the mass of pleated chiffon would just miraculously work out. It very much did not. The collar didn't stand up (it flared out like an Elizabethan ruff) and the rest of it looked, and felt, like a choir robe.

The pictures of this dress make it look like it is short and flattering but it was HUGE on me. I am 7 Mo pregnant, 5' 5'' and about 145 lbs right now. Definitely order down a couple sizes.

I was swimming in the dress. The slip fit like a glove, but the dress was literally 3 sizes too big. I tried belting (as suggested by another reviewer) and it and it looked better, but I still didn't wear it. If I order it again, I will definitely order a size 8 and wear my own slip underneath.

The slip was a bit small, but the dress itself is very large and not flattering at all on me. I would not leave my house wearing it.

I sized down after reading the comments. This comes in 2 pieces. The black slip was a bit tight around my chest, but wearable. The black dress that goes over it was not flattering and I was swimming in it. May look better on a taller person.

This dress is very frumpy and I returned it without wearing it.
