Needed to look like a senator's wife for a political event but didn't want to look super stuffy in a suit. It's florida and April. This was a beautiful choice. It didn't need a necklace due to the neckline detail and was conservative enough at the neckline and the hem to wear to an event like this but was flattering enough with the ruching (yet tight in the hips and made my butt look amazing!). LOVED this. Got the 34 and I would say it's truly a 00. Finally a dress that fit the way I want it. Just this side of snug but not inappropriate.

Dress is true to size, great detail and perfect fit for a curvy figure, loved it and got an insane ammount of compliments!

I ordered two dresses because I couldn't decide. This dress was my second choice and the size up wasn't available. When I put the dress on it immediately became my first choice. It does hug all of your curves but the cut is very flattering. Also the fabric is extremely stretchy so although it is tight it isn't uncomfortable. I felt like a million bucks in this dress!

I ordered a 36 and 38 as I've been wearing a 0 or 2 lately and the 38 was... not terribly flattering... but doable, however, the bow had been ripped off of the dress. I called immediately and RTR was fantastic. They overnightted me a 40 and all was well with the world. The dress is on the longer side for me, 2 inches below the knee, but it worked for the formal military ball I attended. As other reviews have said, the dress shows it all so any bumps or lumps will be on full display. It's a very unique dress and I would consider renting it again for a future event!

The dress was great, but it's definitely tight - order a size up for sure. I'm normally a 0 and the 34 didn't even zip. The slit isn't supposed to be that long, but it was ripped higher on the size 36 (but not on the 34) when I received it. Easy to move in because of how stretchy it is. I did receive compliments on it all night, but you had better like your body to wear this one - it is not a forgiving dress. I would rent this again depending on the event.

I generally wear a size two or four and used a standard conversion chart when ordering this dress. I fit into the 38 but felt like a sausage! Regardless of size, this dress is meant to cling to you so if you have body issues I would recommend selecting a different dress. I received a lot of compliments on how simple yet different my dress was from the traditional cocktail party dress.

It was a fantastic dress. I didn't have an opportunity to dance but I was working the event and moved around a lot. The fabric was synthetic and stretchy but wasn't scratchy. The length was perfect and the cut was elegant. Perfect dress for any occasion.

Beautiful dress. Combine the slight stretch of the fabric with flattering ruching and you get an amazing fit! Color is a combination black/navy. Super comfortable and figure flattering. Lots of compliments!

I rented this for a September black tie optional wedding. I thought it was the perfect level of formality, with the rich textured fabric and longer-than-typical-cocktail-but-not-gown length. Fit was amazing. When eyeballing the dress and even after trying on the 42, I was sure that would be the size I'd wear. I'm a 6 normally. But I tried on the 40 for kicks and it actually fit even better- the fabric has a little give and it was very figure flattering while keeping everything "in place." Would recommend a bra because the material isn't the smoothest on the skin, but I was comfortable since I had a strapless on (could maybe even do straps). The bow detail on the shoulder is so cute and I wish I let it show in the picture! My only complaint is that the small slit on the right leg was already ripped slightly when I got it and it ripped a little bit further later in the night. Wasn't a huge issue though. Overall highly highly recommend!

I ordered the dress last minute (overnight) for an event the next day. It arrived in perfect timing. The bow on the dress was missing however (someone else mentioned this). Being that it was the day of - I didn't bother calling RTR because it was too late ship another in time. The dress was a size 4 (I'm usually a 4/6). I would have liked a 6 due to my hips being so wide but they were out of 6s (again my fault for being last minute). The material is really stretchy so it works, but shows every curve. ALSO the dress has a black background but the tiny printed blue flowers on it makes it look navy to the eye!!! Great dress. Tons on compliments. RTR saved the day otherwise.

Beautiful fit. Fabric is extremely lightweight and accentuates your curves. No complaints on this dress, will be renting it again!

The dress is a stretchy material so ran a little small for me.

The dress runs small...I usually wear a 2 or 4 and this was a 6 (40). The dress has some stretch so it is comfortable. I loved the dress and would rent it again.

This dress was gorgeous....my only complaint is that for the size I ended up wearing, the bow over the shoulder was missing (the other sizes' was intact). I found it to be a bit tight on the bottom despite the slit. Overall though, a goregous, expensive looking dress!

I was worried that the top or bottom might fit, but not both since my top is sometimes a smaller size than my bottom. There was enough give in the fabric that both fit, although the bottom a little more snug than the top. The front of the dress has loose gathering so while the dress hugged my curves it didn't appear too tight. :)

The dress was a little too tight for me so I did not wear it. The occasion was my son's wedding and I felt a little uncomfortable with the dress so form fitting. If it came a size larger I would have worn it in a flash. Might be a little difficult to dance in because of the fit in the knees.

This is the most spectacular dress I have ever seen! It fit like a glove. I received endless compliments all evening. This dress fits very snug but is stretchy. If you are on the fence about sizing, you should go up one size. I could have easily gotten away with a size 40. I also have to say that the customer service is impeccable..very, very accomodating. I am extremely happy with my rental experience. I think this dress would fit best on a hourglass shape. The cut is rather long, so I'm not sure how it would look on someone who is petite. I'm 5'7", and the hem hit barely below my knee. My daughter told me I looked like a mermaid. I wore camel patent Louboutin pumps and carried a camel clutch.

The dress is very form fitting and shows off curves but designed in such a way that it is forgiving in the abdominal area - stretchy material and looked beautiful when worn. The two sizes that were sent to me had some flaws from previous repairs though. The size 40 which I wore had the split seam that was over the left knee sewn shut, changing the look a bit and making it somewhat difficult to climb stairs. The size 38 was missing the bow at the shoulder.

This dress was stunning...dress has a lot of stretch to it, but don't rent if you don't want something that hugs all your curves!

Looked great-but is form fitting. Unless you have the perfect shape, you will need spanx. Also, it is very narrow at the knees, and dancing is nearly impossible in it.

Very form fitting but a lot of stretch. I went up a size and it was still tight - definitely recommend ordering 1 and 2 sizes bigger, esp if you're curvy.

Note on color: This dress is actually a very dark navy, not black. It fits nice and snug - I had to go a size up than what I normally would. Also, for some reason, the extra size dress was missing a bow and there was a much longer slit on the leg than the one I ended up wearing. It was a very pretty dress for graduation, but it definitely is hip hugging! I still got lots of compliments on it, but if you are looking for something not so contracting, I would not recommend this dress. However, it is a great dress for hourglass figures! I still wore this with black heels even though the dress is more of a navy with a dark/black design in it. Overall, I liked this dress but it was much different looking in real life than online.

Didn’t end up actually wearing this dress because it was super small. I’m a pretty consistent size 4, and I tried a size 38 (6), but I still looked like I was stuffed into it. It’s a cute dress, and if I had the time I would have tried the next size up. The fabric is stretchy, but unlined. It’s a tasteful, subtle blue/black print, with flattering styling. I would recommend ordering at least one, probably two, sizes up though.

I didn't wear it even after ordering the extra size-up. Not as flattering on a curvy thin figure because it hugs your hips and accentuates a small waist. I don't particularly like looking like I'm wearing a corset in the 18th century. HEED MY WARNING and order TWO TO THREE SIZES UP!

I rented this accidentally after the dress I initially rented was not going to arrive on time. It is a very cool dress but runs a little small. The material is very thin; It would definitely be good to order up. Unfortunately I was unable to wear it.

The photos are a little deceiving. The fabric is stretchy, so it's comfortable, but this dress is a lot more form-fitting than appropriate for a formal tea party. Maybe for clubbing? Plus order a size or two up! This was a backup dress for a dress that was slightly too large for me. I ended up wearing the larger dress because this was much too tight.

This hugs you in all the right ways, but has pleated fabric so even if you have some extra bulge, it looks nice. I would definitely wear this again. The 40 fit perfectly and the material has a lot of stretch to it. The 42 was nice but a little longer hem and extra fabric since it had so much give.
