I originally ordered this as my backup, and I am SO thankful. I'm 5'7" and wore 4" heels - highly recommend you go with the "Long" if you're my height or taller.

Not many cons except it was just a bit longer in the back than I expected and there was some deodorant marks on the dress. Pros everything about the dress was perfect from cleavage to the back side.

Perfect fit.

The fit was terrific! Body skimming, but not tight and soft and stretchy all over. The front follows your shape and the racerback detail hangs away from your waist so your figure is not obscured. I had ordered the 10 as a backup but didn't even try it on. Wore it with a slip-style shaper up to the waist and the backless/strapless bra, as recommended. It was reviewed as being on the short side, and it was--but I was able to wear embellished black flat sandals, which just added to the comfortable fit. The neckline is simple, but not boring-it complements the edgy back details rather than competing. It hangs pretty low in the front, so I wore a statement necklace with a low-hanging crystal. I did use the complimentary fashion tape to fasten the neckline to the bra for insurance. It was absolutely unique at a gala with some 2200 people in attendance. I felt glamorous and edgy at the same time. The second photo is of my 3 co workers-who all wore RTR gowns. As you can see-four big smiles!

I love this dress. I want to own it. Every single person I met told me how stunning I looked in this. It fit me perfectly. If you have some curves, this dress will show them off in the best possible way! I ended up with the 0L following the advice of other reviews that it runs slightly large on top. The dress has some support in the middle to hold everything in and the back... the back is truly spectacular. I HIGHLY recommend this is you want to turn heads!!

Wore this dress to a black tie wedding and absolutely loved it. I'm 5'10" and needed the Long - I wore flats, it probably would have been too short for heels. I'm between an 8 and a 10 and the 8 was perfect.

I couldn't be happier with my RTR experience. This Nicole Miller gown hung beautifully. The black leather detail on the back adds just the right amount of edge and really shows off your back. The draping in the front and back really accented my lady parts in the most tasteful way. Thanks!

LOVED this dress! I received several compliments! Very sexy and stylish. I wished I had ordered the 0L in addition to the 2L because it runs a little large. Definitely would recommend ordering the long because it just barely touched the ground.

I am a size 4 and this dress fit like it was made for me. It hung beautifully everywhere, I did need a little fashion tape, I'm only a B-cup but the girls were trying to escape as it was a scoop neck. I wore 4 inch heels I ordered the regular size and it just hit the floor perfectly, there is a slight train which a few people stepped on throughout the night but all in all I was completely satisfied with this dress. I loved it and I would rent it again. One thing though, I originally wanted to wear a slimmer under the dress but the material the dress is made of is very thin so you could see any lines from underwear or slimmers right through, I would recommend undergarments with no seams to wear under this dress.

I was working a formal Gala at the Kennedy Center, so I need something gorgeous and comfy. Everyone loved this dress! The fit was strange, though. I ordered a 4R (I'm usually a 4) and a 2L, since a lot of the reviews said it runs short. It definitely did.- it only came down to the tops of my ankles. Additionally, the top on the 4 was gigantic. I'm a 34A, and it came down entirely below my bust. Luckily, the 2 was stretchy enough to fit over my hips, and the length was just about right (started the evening out in 4in heels and ended it in flats; both worked). I still had to tape the top to prevent being exposed, though. Overall, it was very comfortable, and so pretty. The back is stunning!

Wore this to the opera. Extraordinarily comfortable to sit in for almost 4 hours! This dress runs short! I'm 5"4 and had planned to wear 4" heels, but wound up wearing 2" heels instead. I wish the 4L would have been available. Also, it's lower cut than the pictures reveal, so I wore a long, heavy crystal necklace to weigh down the front. It worked perfectly. Really a cool twist on a classic a long, black gown. Love this dress!

I wore this dress for a black tie gala and it fit like a dream! It is very form fitting and I was worried that the low back would make it impossible to wear shape wear undergarments. However, the shape wear came right up to the scoop in the back and worked perfectly. My breasts are pretty small so I didn't wear a bra. If you have bigger breasts I recommend using double sided tape because the front would be pretty revealing if you have cleavage. It is very stretchy so maybe if I had gone up a size I wouldn't have needed the shape wear (the 6R was not available at the time, so my only option was the 4R). I wore heels that were pretty tall and the front was perfect; it still touched the ground. The back had a slight train that drug on the ground about 3 inches.

I wrore this to a balck tie wedding in mahattan. There were a lot of black dresses. Mine definitally stood out the most. I loved it and so did everyone else. My husband kepts saying that my dress was his favortie. I got the long size cause it was the only one available and I would say if you wear high heels definitally get the long!

Beautiful gown, fit like it was made for me. So happy. The only thing I regret was not taking a picture of myself showing the side or back of the dress. The back is the WOW effect. I wore the 8 regular being that the long seemed to drag on the floor behind me. The regular was perfect even with heels & I'm almost 5'9 . Glad I didn't get the long

This was actually my back-up dress, but I absolutely LOVED it. Only issue was the length; I'm only 5'3" but it still barely touched the floor. I chose to wear my first choice dress largely because it covered my pumps. I'll definitely be considering this for another formal event!

I wore this dress to a formal ball last weekend and absolutely loved it! I am 5'6" and slender and went with the 0L and it fit like a glove. I wore 4" heels and the lenght was perfect. I agree with the comment below, the fabric is very thin and you have to wear undergarmets that are seamless. Overall the dress was very flattering and hugged my curves in all the right places.

The fit was perfect. Not too big, not too small. I was also expecting a much longer dress, judging by previous reviews but it was *just* right. I was wearing flats and it hit the floor without any fabric dragging. My one complaint is that there is a mini train in the back with the fabric draping from the leather T-back and a few times I stepped on it while dancing and people walking close behind me also stepped on it.

I ended up needed the next smaller size, as I have lost a few pounds recently. Nevertheless, my husband still said it looked terrific on me. Need great jewelry to jazz up the front view, but the design of the back speaks for itself. I ended up wearing Spanx just to have a really clean look, as the dress will show seams. One caveat - the back drops lower than a normal bra by 2-3 inches, so know you are going to need a special bra. I didn't feel like a standout since it was basic black at a spring occasion, but people definitely noticed the back once they were up close and complimented me on the dress.

Chose this dress for a formal black tie event. The fit, material, and details really made it stand out. My boyfriend loved the back of the dress. Caution for you fuller busted women the front drape can get a little low so keep an eye on the "girls".

I wore this dress to a recent wedding and received compliments all night. The front is quite simple, very plain except for a little draping at the bust. However, you're not purchasing/renting this dress because you want to make a grand entrance. With this dress, you're looking to make a grand exit. The back is stunning and I absolutely love how it provides the dress with lots of movement. It was tasteful and simple yet sexy and edgy. Loved it. The size was perfect too, with 4 inch heels of course! Would definitely recommend.

Ordered this in 2L and 4L. The 2 was ever so slightly snug, but the. 4 was super comfortable. With my 4" heals this dress was barely long enough. Wore this to a black tie wedding and received so many compliments. For a simple black dress this sure stands out.

This dress fit suprisingly well. I have a larger bust and the drop was a little revealing in the front. Also, it wasn't as long as I expected. I am 5'8 and luckily the only heels I had available were like 1 or 2 inches. Close call... But overall I enjoyed the gown! It was fitting but not too tight at all.

I am 5'11" tall and 140lbs, The dress is quite lovely and fit very well (I went with the 6L). However even with my bare feet the dress was at least to mid calf, and did not look anything close to the length on the model. I would not recommend this dress for taller girls even if you get the Long length - it was very short & i would not have been able to wear heels - ended up wearing a different dress all together. However, the top fits beautifully and the dress is well made, so would recommend in all other aspects!

This is a great, simple dress, but it was a little plain for me. Very flattering though!

Caveat - I'm small (4) with a large chest - 30 DDD. On me, the draped neckline stuck straight out forward like a shelf instead of draping the way it needs to. Sadly this made it unwearable, it just looked too odd and would not flatten down. Stunning dress though, but didn't work for my shape.

I am 5'8" and it was a little short in the front when i want wearing heels so when i did put them on it looked a little funky.

This was my backup dress in case my first choice did not fit. It's very sexy and pretty flattering but it would look better on someone with larger breasts to fill the top portion. Because the front of the dress drapes a little, I would have been in danger of a nipple slipping out and it was too low-cut to wear a bra that looked right. It was also too revealing for a wedding which is the occasion I rented this for but it is certainly a sexy dress!

I thought this dress was nice but I just thought some things, like where the arms laid was odd as well the neck. I decided to wear the other dress that I received.
