No need for a bra.

This dress definitely would have fit someone with a larger chest so the ribbing was a bit awkward on me but overall it was really comfortable and very gorgeous!

The fit was perfect! I am 5'3'' and I was nervous that the dress would be too long, but it fit fabulously. The mid section of the dress has some boning structure, which helped alleviate any "tummy roll" issues. The bust was roomy enough that I could wear a strapless bra without "bulging out". Overall, I LOVED this dress!

I wore this to my company's formal holiday party. Seemed to be the perfect dress for my body type - curvy/voluptuous. I did wear a corset bra with this dress even though it does have boning in it for support. One small wish for the dress is that it had been even longer. I ordered the long size and had it been an inch shorter would have been too short. Also, a few sections of the hem of the dress had some fraying, but not noticeable at the event.

Gorgeous! Yes, what everyone said about the missed clumping up in the middle was true. But GREAT fit! I'm usually a size 2, and the 0L was perfect. I'm 5'3 and wore 5 inch heels and the length was perfect. Cons: Came with 3 giant stains, kinda messed up zipper, and a hole in the side. Pros: GREAT fit, ran a size big (but mine fit perfect!), very sexy. Shows off a nice round "apple bottom" LOL

I LOVED this dress! What i don't love is how I look in it (my fault and not the dress). I even wore a smoother but I should have worn something a bit...sturdier. There's light boning that runs along both sides of the front but none of that was enough. Regardless, this dress is a winner and I need to get back to the gym. The chunky bracelet on my left (your right) arm is from RTR as well. Loved that too.

My first RTR experience and I loved it! Will definitely rent again! This is a great dress for someone in shape with curves- it fit me like a glove. My one issue was that it kept slipping down during the night. There's a built in corset inside- I didn't need a bra, which was great. Another thing to watch is that the corset was a bit bent at the bottom, so if you're headed to a dinner-ish event where sitting down is important, I'd pick something else! Tall girls take note- I'm petite (5'3) and a 2L worked fine with heels. Make sure you take that into account when choosing footwear! Other than that it ran pretty true to size.

The fit was perfectly a 0 through the body. However, I had issues with the top. I am a 32D, but it seemed that the dress kept slipping down showing off way too much cleavage. Also, it seemed that this dress had been worn many times (of course), and the boning in the top was crooked and kept failing. I think this could have caused the slipping of the top.

I love the color and the style of the dress. I am 5'9 and wore a 3.5 inch heel so the dress feel a little short for me as far as reaching the floor. The bodice of the dress seemed a little worn because the top portion would not stay in place with the little rubber that was around the bust. So I had to keep pulling it up.

I am 5'6 and the regular dress was just a tad short. I read comments that it was too long so I ordered the regular length. I had to call several freinds to find a pair of short heels so I would not look silly at the event.

Very appropriate for black tie wedding. Size 6 fit great, I ordered the 6L and not sure that I received the long. I'm 5'6 and wore 3 inch heels, and length was great. Only complaint was that it was very wrinkled and had to bring it to get steamed. Would prob go with big necklace instead of earrings if I were to rent again.

Both sizes I ordered fit very well, but the 4L was more forgiving in the stomach area than the 2L. The length was just about perfect. I wore a 1ish inch heel. Dress was very comfortable throughout the night and flattering. Fit in the bust well – didn't wear a bra and had no concerns about it falling down, and I am fairly flat chested. The only flaw I noticed was that the sticky part at the top of the dress that is supposed to keep the dress up kept flipping outward in a visible way. Minor flaw. You definitely need a flat stomach to look good in the dress, however. I wouldn't have felt at all comfortable if I hadn't been working on my stomach recently. Overall, great and simple for the occasion, but not the most beautiful dress I've ever worn.

I wore this dress to a black tie gala and it was perfect! I glammed it up with some big bling-y earrings and it looked great! Dress was comfortable and flattering. Great for full bust, you can wear a strapless easily. One note of caution: the boning in the bodice kind of sticks out a little at the hips where it ends. Not super noticable, but I could feel it.

Length - I'm 5'9 and even the long was a little on the short side. I wore 2 inch heels and the dress barely covered the bottoms of my shoes (this pic is on grass so you can't really tell how short it looked). The dress flairs out at the bottom and really is almost gown like (another reason to go for the long!) Pros - It's very form flattering and forgiving because the material is a little stretchy. Cons - Like another reviewer, I noticed that the elastic in the top of the dress is loose, so I kept having to pull the dress up throughout the night. Also, there is boning in the front that was a little funky when I took it out of the box and I had to play with it a little to actually get it to line up correctly. Overall though, great dress and I'd highly recommend!

You may want to get a size smaller than you usually wear if you prefer a snug fit and/or if you have a smaller chest. If you do have a B-cup or smaller, definitely prepare on wearing a padded bra, as it's a bit big at the top. Nicole Miller is THE designer who knows how to flatter a curvy figure. Don't be dettered by the horizontal stripes -- this dres is very flattering. It's very comfortable and elegant!

Gorgeous material, surprisingly comfortable.

This dress was too big and not fit me and unfortunately the back up size was not available so I could not wear this. I am 5'11" though and by trying it on I could tell it would have worked with a short heel if it had fit. Pretty fabric and nice quality.

This dress was very, very comfortable. I ended up not wearing it, as it was my backup, but I would have been very happy to wear this dress. The fabric has great stretch to it and I felt very comfortable moving around in it. It is rather form fitting. It looks very elegant and classy. The regular length was fine with my heels (3 or 4 inches). For reference, I am 143 pounds and I have a very large bust. I rented an 8 and a 10. Both zipped, although I would have worn the 10 had I chosen to wear the gown. The previous posters are correct about the boning, though, which is the only thing stopping me from a 5-star review. It pokes out at the hips and is somewhat visible - I think that's probably why the model's hands are on her hips in the picture. Overall, very nice dress.

I LOOOOVED this dress. I want to wear it all the time. It is super comfortable and flows really nicely. I just felt beautiful in it. I got tons of compliments on it at the wedding I attended in it. I'm a pretty small person and it fit great! I've got a smallish chest and it would have been ok if I didn't wear a bra but a strapless bra with padding definitely helped fill it out and I wasn't tugging all night at it. I'm short so I worried about the length- it was a little long on me even with some heels (which I admit probably could have been higher) but overall it fit great.

This dress had a lovely flow to it, and, to my delighted surprise, fit me in my normal dress size (10). I had anticipated that it might be small just because it was a designer gown. The disappointment came in the fact that, despite being constructed from flowy, mid-weight material, it has strong, structured boning sewn in. It was impossible to miss the boning when I put the dress on - it caused the bodice to literally stick out at my hips. Future renters, be advised - you'll want to rent a second style in case you have the same problem.

too tight on the rear and way too long

I ended up wearing a Badgley Mischka dress instead of this one only because the other dress was more flattering for my body.

1. I'm 5'3", wore 3.5" heels and the length was spot on 2. I have only needed spanx once before. Be prepared. The fabric is very unforgiving. Plan to eat like a bird. 3. The top of both my size and backup size roll over. I thought this was because I have a larger bust, but after reading other reviews, it's prob just a flaw in the construction. 4. The boning will show no matter what you do. If this will bother you, choose another dress.

Great dress- not very forgiving if you're not a tiny, tiny. I wear a size 4/6 and never had to wear spanx before this dress- while I loved it and received a lot of compliments I would be prepared with spanx or a slip- you can see everything on the tummy line. The dress also looks like it's a thicker material online but it's actually quite shiny and more spandex like.

I rented this dress for a formal event. It was extremely comfortable, but nothing special. Event spiced up with a funky necklace, I didn't feel super special (which I normally do in RTR's fun dresses!) I'm 5'8" ~135lbs 34C chest, and the 6L was perfect. I had to wear 4" heels to the bottom wouldn't drag. The dress does slip down a bit and can minimize your bust, so I recommend a good strapless. Spanks helped smooth my midsection too since the material is rather thin and stretchy. I'd rent it again if was going to an event which I need to be understated in.

I am always a 4 and I was a 2 in this dress. It was way too short for me even though this picture, which features a model who is 5'9'', made it seem like it would be perfect.

I wasn't impressed with this dress. I ordered a longer length and the dress was still too short. It also appeared very worn. The dress was much tighter than I expected- I could have ordered a size or two up.

I felt great in this dress. The one disappointment was the length--I should have studied the reviews more carefully--I'm 5'6" and the 4R was way too short with my heels. I wore them anyway, but it was definitely a different look than shown on the model. Good thing I liked my shoes because they totally showed. The stretch on the dress is flattering as long as you don't have anything you're trying to hide.
