Wore it to a formal fundraising event...got lots of compliments. I was just 4-5 months post-baby body, but spanx worked wonderfully! The fabric has some stretch to it so it made for a really comfortable evening.

Fit like a glove. I wore spanx so the dress didn't pick up any weird bumps. Wear taller heels - it runs a little long.

This is the perfect dress for a wedding/formal affair. It is not only gorgeous, but also very comfortable. The dress shape and color are very flattering. I received many compliments on how beautiful my dress was. I am even considering renting it again in a different color for the next wedding I will attend.

Nicole Miller never disappoints! This dress is gorgeous! I rented this dress for a black tie wedding in Puerto Rico and it was perfect for the occasion. The color is so vibrant and the fit is incredibly flattering. I especially loved the neckline and the cutout back. The cinching on the side is subtle but really improves the look and fit of the dress. I rented the 0R because the 0P was not available, but if you are 5'3 or under I would definitely recommend the petite. The regular was much too long on me but I made it work. I received so many compliments on this dress! I also rented the Nicole Miller Magnolia earrings which were a great accessory. I highly recommend this dress and would definitely rent it again!

The dress has a very snuggled fit, stretches a lil, also if your tall, like i am (5'10) you should get long. But loved this dress.

I usually wear a 4, but this was only available in 6. I got the long version and it fit well. Could have been a bit longer, but I am 5'11" and chose to wear 3 1/2" heels. I would be careful with a larger chest with this gown, it is very form fitting. I would even consider going up one size more if I was to wear it again. The color was beautiful and I got lots of compliments before and after on the color. It is more green in bright light and more teal in darker light. The train is great, but if the room is crowded, it will get stepped on. Get a good strapless bra because the shape you get will show. Overall, I was very pleased.

Got this dress in a 6L and a 8R first. The 6 was WAY too tight and the 8 was WAY too short...I am 5'9". They over nighted me the 8L and it fit perfectly. I am busty and should have had a 10 just for that reason but it would not have fit anywhere else. So if you are taller than 5'7" get a long...it was too short for me bare footed.

This was an awesome dress. I could have gone with the 4L but it wasn't available. The 6L was a little loose, even in the bust. The train was gorgeous, but when I received the dress, it looked like someone had stepped on it and torn it previously. I wanted to find a dress I could wear a strapped bra with, and it was unfortunate you could see the straps on the backside. I went with clear, and it wasn't too obvious. Overall, great dress, very flattering.

This dress was everything that I hoped it would be - it was form-fitting without being restrictive and the color was beautiful. I got so many compliments and the dress was incredibly comfortable all afternoon and night (I wore it to a black tie wedding in NYC...from the ceremony on through the reception, which was about 9 hours in total). I do wish I got a shawl or something else to cover my back and shoulders during the ceremony though. This isn't an overly revealing dress by any means, but for a January wedding in a cavernous church with cold wooden pews, I felt a little exposed. Also, if you’re 5’6” or taller, are planning on wearing heels of even a modest height, and you'd like the dress to go all the way to the ground as it's pictured on the model, you should probably get the long. However, even though I am 5’6” and I wore about 3” heels, I was actually grateful for the regular because I didn’t want the dress to be dragging on the ground (the “train” just barely skimmed the ground, which was perfect). Overall, I’d definitely recommend this dress to anyone attending a formal affair!

A very comfortable and flattering dress, perfect for a black tie wedding. The 4 was very form fitting on me but the 6 was too big- I wore the 4L and was comfortable all night.

It was a stunning dress, amazing color, nice and long and me with a slight train. So pretty and glamorous. The only issue for me was it ran small in the bust and I felt like I was pretty squished in. It wasn't uncomfortable but it didn't look right in some of the pictures. Other than that - amazing!

Everyone gave me compliments all night. The fit was perfect and i felt like a goddess all night.

I found nothing wrong with the dress. i loved everything about it. The color, how it portrayed my hour glass shape. its to this day one of the best dresses I've worn.

I wore this dress to my sorority formal. I am only 5'2" so I was worried about the length, but with 4" heels I pulled this off! Loved the fabric and it fit perfectly all over! The small train in the back is so much fun and really plays up the elegance of this dress.

I wore this gown to a Mardi Gras ball and it was beautiful. It was a bit snug in the bust and butt but overall very comfortable. I am 5'2" and wore 3 inch heels and the train still drug a bit making it a dancing nuisance. The petite was not available for me but I would definitely recommend if you are 5'4 or shorter.

Fit a little snug but this was a great wedding dress. Wore spanx which made it ride up all night. This wasn't ideal but the overall look was a good one. Got lots of compliments.

I rented this dress last year for a black tie event and am just now getting a chance to review it. I've worn Nicole Miller before and always love her designs, so I figured this would be a safe bet. The color of the dress is beautiful and the fit is really flattering *if you have the right shape for this dress. The dress doesn't run small per se, but it does hug you all over and is very fitted. i.e. I made sure not to eat too much that night because any tummy pooch will most definitely show in this dress. It would work for pear or hourglass shapes, but I'm not sure that it would be as flattering on an apple shaped body only because of the way it hugs your waist. Beautiful dress though! I would highly recommend it.

Fitted and kind of sexy without being inappropriate. Very comfortable to wear all night. My mother-in law kept telling me I should buy the dress for myself, it looked so good.

Looked just like the picture. I wore this dress to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball. It was a great dress for a formal party night. I wouldn't recommend this dress to anyone who is self-concious of her stomach--the dress is tight.

The dress is true to size. The material gave a bit which was great for dancing during the reception. The long was also perfect for wearing with heels given my height.

I wore this to a military ball and it was perfect! The dress hugged my body in all the right places and the back of the dress makes it a little special. Loved it!

The dress is longer than I thought - Even with heels, I could have done with a 4R and just slightly shorter heels (I'm 5'8"). It is a very flattering dress even with a large chest (DD). Loved the color the best, it's not too "Look at me" out there, but it grabs attention. I got compliments all night!

Gorgeous dress, will flatter most figures. If you are a little more curvy, you may want to spanx it up. The color is a little darker than in the pics, so it was great for a fall wedding.

Dress runs a bit long, so make sure to wear high(er) heels.

I rented this dress for a black tie gala and LOVED it! I'm 140, 5'9", no curves, and have broad shoulders. This dress gave me the illusion of curves - at least for one night! The 6L was a bit long (like in the model photo) even with 3" heels, so I had to watch my step going down stairs. Otherwise not a problem. The teal color was a bit deeper/darker than in the photo and made me unique in a big crowd. I'd definitely recommend this dress.

I rented this dress for a formal wedding. It was supposed to be my back up dress but I ended up liking it so much, that I decided to wear it instead. The fit was fabulous and it was very comfortable. With high heels (4 in), it just swept the ground, perfect length. Paired the dress with a simple 3 strand floating pearls for a classy look.

I got this dress for a formal event that was on St. Patrick's Day. Perfect color! It is definitley a little greener than in the picture, but not by much. I loved the way it fit, and it has just enough rouching to cover up any tummy issues. My favorite part is the neckline (gorgeous) and the little mini train - though be careful of people walking behind you!

This dress was stunning. It fit like a dream, though quite long. It has a train, but was still a bit long for me, being 5'6". I would definitely rent this dress again.

This gown was gorgeous and a very flattering cut overall. There is slightly more ruching than appears in the pictures (the backside captures more accurately the amount of ruching. For sizing beware of the long, because it is very very long. I’m 5’8 and prefer flats and low heals so it was at least 2 inches too long for me. Also as far as being “stretch silk” there really was very little stretch to the fabric. The dress does run true to size but be careful about sizing down as there’s not much wiggle room! The silk was so beautiful but didn’t travel well compared to other fabrics I’ve rented… this one looked like it traveled 5 days and 3000 miles in the mail and arrived a bit wrinkled. I was pleased that this dress is a true teal color, much more green than it looks on the model and the overall feel was light and airy while still holding everything firmly in place.

This dress was my first choice, but I didn't end up wearing it as I ordered it in an 8 and it was too big. I have a fuller bust so I was worried that the 6 would be too small, but it actually doesn't run too tight. Also the color was not as teak as it reads from the picture. It was more green.

This dress was perfect for a black tie wedding in the afternoon. It was a great length for me--I ordered the regular one--with kitten heels. I wore the 10 because I have a big butt and the 8 was just a little tighter than I was comfortable with back there. Since the material is stretchy, the top wasn't too big even in the bigger size.

Loved it. Compliments all night although the dress was more rouched on me (not skin tight like in the photo) and the color is more green than teal (very misleading).

My daughter wore this last night to her HS prom. Gotta say, she was a knock-out! In a sea of rhinestone and ruffles, she looked very elegant. She is 5'7', 140 pounds. Wore the Size 8 Regular with 3 inch heels which was fine, since the train is long in the back. A 6 might have fit her perfect (they were out),but the 8 fit well.(Fabric doesn't have a lot of give since it's silk.) She wore her hair in low bun, which showed off the nicely cut back.I don't have to worry about another pricey dress hanging in her closet, worn only once!

This is a beautiful dress BUT it is super figure hugging so if you are potentially going to be any way bloated or in your "I don't like my junk in the trunk" phase then I would get a back up just incase. I got it a couple days before the event and when I first tried it on, I had to give myself some thumbs up in the mirror as the dress makes you look stunning, sexy yet classy. Then the day of, I had to switch dresses as I must have had a bit too much salt in my Chipotle the day before as the dress was slightly, just slightly, unforgiving. I would try it again but again with back-up.
