Sometimes a woman needs to feel like a glamour girl. I definitely did in this floor length elegant dazzler. The ruching and square neck gave this basic black some style. Full back meant a Demi bra was possible. Wore to a friends daughters wedding. Felt sexy without trying to look like a 20- year old. Stretchy fabric made this dress extremely comfortable. It was only my spanx and push up bra that were tight. Recommend spanx as this is form fitting. Ruching helps, but some of us need more help.

Size 6 was unavailable so I tried an 8 petite and it worked out great! Wore it to a fall wedding and got lots of compliments.

It had enough shape to show off my figure and my bump so I still felt sexy. The ruching is well placed and elegant, not cheesy. I’m 5’7” and wore 3” heels in the 6P and while it could have been longer I didn’t mind showing off my shoes. I was about 155lbs when I wore this. It does have a very short train (which made stairs a little interesting) but elegant otherwise. I wore a stick on bra with the dress, which ended up working perfectly.

Rented this dress for a black tie function and loved it - got lots of compliments. It is beautifully simple but the dramatic square neckline makes it striking. Form fitting but with lots of stretch so works with a curvy figure . There are gathers around the hips which add an interesting feature and help shape the dress around the hips and legs. Rent this dress for a timeless, slightly retro, striking look!

It's very rare that I feel confident in a form fitting dress but I felt BEYOND BEAUTIFUL in this dress!!! It hugged me in all of the right places. I suggest spanx if you have a little belly like I do. I received so many compliments and couldn't stop looking at myself anytime we walked past a mirror. Got the necklace and clutch from RTR and it was PERFECTION!!!!

Hourglass flattening fit, was stretchy and fabric was “just” heavy enough.

I love this dress! (I'm sad to send it back)This was my first rental. Thankful my first choice fit well. My second choice also fit well. The back up size to this dress came as another style, and while beautiful, the back was open and was not appropriate for the event. My tummy has never been the same after my children (twin bump), but the fabric gathers are fairly forgiving. I often can wear a 4 in a dress, but am almost always a size 6 in pants. I'm 5'-3" and wore 2" heels. The little train was fine most of the time, though had to pay attention on stairs. The back is a little form fitting over the bum, but the gathers do help. I needed a dress to wear in an afternoon choral concert. The dress code was strict, we needed to be covered up, and it was in the middle of a heat wave. Somehow this dress checked off all those boxes, plus it was unbelievably comfortable and made me feel like a goddess. I am desperate for an excuse to rent it again.

Fit was perfect. This was the perfect dress. Classic and Classy Sexy. The back of the dress hugs you in all the right places. I would definitely rent this again.

I wore this dress to a black tie wedding in December. It was actually warm. It has a little bit of a train that is not visible on the app. I ended up renting the long, because the regular length was not available at the time I needed. So it was a little long for me, but still perfect for the occasion. I received many complements and felt amazing in this dress. Though simple, I would definitely rent this dress, it is classic and elegant. I will definitely rent the runway again, great experience!

The dress was very comfortable and stretchy in all the right places. I'm 5'7", 150lbs, and 36D. I wore a 10L and felt this dress was made for me. Perfect length for my 4" heels. It was a absolutely gorgeous split between sexy and classy and I received compliments all night long. RTR is my go-to now for all future formal events!

This dress is perfect for someone who is in the middle of losing weight. The black color, the overlay and the long sleeves give you a perfect palette for a red lip!

Fit like a glove. I was concerned that I would have issues zipping it because I am wider through my back but it wasn't a problem. Strapless bra is a must due to the neckline. Length was perfect w 3 in heels.

The dress fit nicely and was very easy to wear despite that it must be worn with a strapless bra. The fabric felt wonderful, a perfect weight, and the dress itself was constructed very well, didn't tug or pull in places it shouldn't, and managed to flatter my squat and plump in the middle figure. I wore this dress to my ship's holiday party and I got compliments all night. The fabric hugged all my curves but was still conservative enough for a work function. It's a great basic black dress that you can pair with more statement jewelry. I felt beautiful and I loved wearing it.

So this dress was not even my pick, as the dress I ordered wasn't returned in enough time to be sent to me. So this was the backup dress sent to me and it was way better than the original dress, which was similar. I was going for a classy maleficent look. So this dress did the job. It did not make me look matronly at all. It hugged in all the right place to show off some curves. It was light weight and stretchy. So i wasn't constricted and was able to get down on the dance floor. It was perfect length for me, I'm 5'4" and wore a smaller heel. Heck yes, i would recommend this dress, and I would rent again for a winter event!

Ran a little short, so recommend long with heels. And as others said, you'll need a strapless bra.

Okay so this dress was the backup. I had ordered a different one, but the day before my dance they told me they had to send me another one. I was super worried but as soon as I tried it on I fell in love! My butt looked great and I could wear whatever bra I wanted (most dresses are really finicky about bras) and I was incredibly comfy the whole time no worries about wardrobe malfunctions or anything. Highly recommend. Oh and RTR was so nice!!! They apologized for all the stress about last minute dress (even though I loved it) and even gave me a refund. Love this company

I wore this dress to an evening holiday party while pregnant. I'm not sure it would work for me unless I was trying to show off my belly as the fabric is thick and luxurious but certainly clings to any bulges. Made for a tall and slender woman but I loved the way I could rock my belly in this versatile black dress. Arms were a bit tight around the seams getting it on but very flexible and comfy through the night.

I stressed out big time when I received notice that two of my original dresses would not be shipping in time. Nothing like a panic attack two days before a huge Italian wedding where I needed to impress the cast of Godfellas (joke!). A 'stylist' selected two dresses for me that I was not pleased with the selection so I phoned for alternatives. Courtney was so great and went through the available dresses with me. Three dresses were overnighted to me. I fell in love with this dress as soon as I put it on. The dress was absolutely elegant. I have recently gained some weight so I picked this dress because of the comments left by other women AND temperature for that day plummeted to the 50s! The dress was stretchy and forgiving in all the right places. I received compliments all night. Just be ware that the dress does have a train to it. In the end, this dress was mean to be.

The dress fit like a glove. The neckline was gorgeous and really set it apart from the many other black gowns at the black-tie dinner event I attended. I'm 5'6" and the length was perfect in the 4Regular with 3 inch heels. The fabric is not super thick, so beware if you are sensitive about a belly...the dress will not hold it in the way some other dresses do. But the ruching is very flattering and forgiving.

This dress was perfect for the occasion (formal ball). The length was just brushing the floor in 2" heels, which I wore because I wanted to dance. The dress has a lot of stretch and is easy to put on by yourself. I wore a strapless bra which worked fine. I loved how the cut of this dress made my pretty straight figure look more curvy. It definitely accentuates whatever curves you have!

I've been working out for several months so I'm fit, for the most part, but still a bit thick around the midsection. The dress fit very nicely, especially with good quality shapewear to keep the midsection in check. It was surprisingly comfortable and, as many others have commented, has a forgiving fit. The only annoyance was that the lower part of the dress had a tendency to twist as I walked so I had to frequently readjust to keep the left side seam from working its way around to the front of my left thigh. At 5'1" I'm always worried about the length being too long on any long dress, but this was perfect with my 2" heels. I don't think I've ever received so many compliments on a dress. My husband said that when I was away from the table, people were still telling him how beautiful I looked and that the dress was fabulous. I could get used to this!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this dress! I wore in to a military ball and I will certainly rent again. It was extremely comfortable, and sexy, but not revealing. I am 5'5", 127lbs and ordered a 2L and 4L just in cas3, but the 2L was plenty big enough, possibly could have even worse a 0L. I wore 3" heels and the dress was a touch long, but I think a regular length would have been too short with my heels. This is a great dress, I absolutely recommend it!

The dress I originally selected wasn't available so RTR sent me this. I didn't think I'd like it but tried it on for fun. It was AMAZING and was the perfect replacement for the dress that wasn't available. I've been going to the gym so it was the perfect compliment to the work I'd put in. It showcased every curve and I felt so sexy even though I was covered from head to toe.

It covered everything it needed to, and I felt elegant. I got a lot of compliments. I'm 5'6" and the length was just right in my 1"wedges or heels. Might have been too long with flats.

The fit was perfect. I am always a 2P in a dress and this fit perfectly. The length was perfect and the heels I wore worked great. It is a tight fitting dress and the photo didn't do justice to all the rushing on the sides and back of the dress. The neckline was also great and the statement necklace I wore gave the dress the pop it needed.
