I felt elegant and sexy in this dress. Many compliments. I didn't think it was super comfy to dance in but it worked. The event was a March wedding in Palm Springs and it was perfect for the high 60s low 70s temps. If you're tall (5'6-plus) rent the LONG size.

I went with what others recommended and got the long, I am glad I did! Other than that it fit perfectly and I received SO many compliments on it!

I ordered size 2L and 4L, but was notified that size 2L wouldn't be available to ship. I was thrilled that the 4L fit well enough to wear. I'm 5'6", 112 pounds, 32D bra size. I wore 4" heels and the length was good. I got a lot of compliments and I felt really beautiful in this dress. I think the 2 would have fit better but I was also fine with it not being really tight. This dress has bra strap holders in the straps, but that only helps the front. I adjusted my bra to sit lower and that helped on the back. Overall, I would absolutely rent this dress again, and I definitely recommend!

I loved the fit and elegance of this dress for a black tie optional wedding. It gave me a really good shape and very comfortable too! I'm 5'3" and got the 2L which with 5"? Heels works perfectly. I think the 2R would have been too short or would have had to wear different heels. It doesn't wrinkle either so no worries about how you sit. Really loved this dress and so did a lot of others!

This dress fit like a glove! So comfortable and easy to sit/dance in. It does run very short, so tall gals beware. I wore a 4L with 2" heels and it was the perfect length and just hit the floor. I rented this a couple days before a black tie wedding as a backup to my original rental (which mysteriously became unavailable). At first I was upset, but as soon as I tried this on I was even happier than I think I would have been in my first choice. This dress is stunning! I was nervous about the tight fit, but it was flattering (and rigid enough to help me suck in a bit!) and I felt wonderful in it. As other reviews said, it ran short (so I'd go with the L instead of the R if you're taller than 5'5) and the straps are a tad long, but I didn't have an issue with it. The color is gorgeous!

Being 5'2" makes it tough to wear floor length dresses without alterations, but this one was perfect. I wore 3" heels and the dress hit just above my toes, no need to pick the dress up to walk or dance.

Wore this to a formal affair for grad school 2 years ago but am finally posting this. The color is gorgeous, the back is elegant, mermaid-ish bottom is so flattering, and I love the shape of the top. I am short and I didn't have to worry about the length of this dress so taller ladies be aware of that. I love this dress!

Fits close to size, but very fitted without much stretch. It looks great on curvy shapes, and I did wear spanx just to keep everything in the right place. Lace overlay hides bumps and imperfections, which is really nice. I normally wear a 6 and the 6R was perfect. I'm 5'4", wore 5" heels and the dress just skimmed the floor. I ordered 8R as a backup (which fit ok, just slightly looser so not as figure flattering) but was a shorter length! So length is not consistent, but other than that, it's an amazing dress I would order again!

I loved this dress. I felt so beautiful and the length and lace made it feel fancy. My boobs looked awesome in this dress and I wish I could keep it! My only con would be that the dress smelled a little weird but maybe that's from the bag it was shipped in??

I wanted to keep it. It hugged all the right curves and definitely gives you cleavage! I wouldn't recommend if you have a larger chest but for me it was great! The color is a forest green which makes a statement without being over the top/flashy. I got compliments all night and would definitely rent this one again!!! <3

This was selected for me by the stylist as a backup dress, and it was perfect. As most others have commented, it runs a little short. At 5'4", wearing 2" heels, the dress was just below my ankles. There is a little bit of stretch to the dress, and it wasn't as constricting as I thought it might be, given the descriptions. However, it isn't forgiving on a winter waistline, and I did have to wear spanxx. It accentuated my chest nicely, though, and would work with a large variety of jewelry types. The color is a true emerald green.

This dress fit perfectly and I received so many complements. Amazing movement even with the tight cloth. I was able to dance the night away! Whenever I talk about RTR my Husband brings up this dress.

I have hips and a butt so I chose to go up a size and was thankful I did. The 6R fit like a glove! Snug through the hips but I knew it would be as a mermaid styled dress thats why I went up a size. I'm 5'4" and it was a tad short with 2" heels so I would recommend a long for anyone taller! The zipper was a bit difficult to get near the waist seam but worked with some finness. Overall, I would 10/10 recommend this dress for any formal event! Not to mention, I recieved lots of compliments :)

I can't even begin to describe how much I adore this dress - I was so sad to send it back! It was perfect for a holiday gala, along with the "surprise" necklace I had RtR send to go with it. I got compliments all night! I am glad I went up for my backup size as even the 6 was tight (I usually wear a 4), but it was perfect! I am about 5'3" and it worked well with my 3" wedges. I am already trying to think of other occasions so I can rent it again!

This dress fit perfectly. I was initially concerned it might be too low cut but the neckline was extremely flattering and you could wear almost any necklace to compliment the look. I was surprised at how comfortable I was in the dress all evening, even when sitting. The color was also gorgeous in person. Highly recommend.

I was this gown for a friend's black tie Christmas wedding and it was perfect! The color is a beautiful, rich, deep green and the lace is so pretty. I ended up choosing to rent this dress because I wanted a festive color and because, even though there wasn't a petite length option, most of the other reviews commented that it was on the shorter side. I would say that that is true, it's on the shorter side; however, being the shorty I am (5'0"), it was just barely off the ground in 4 inch heels. I ended up wearing the 4, and it fit well, I felt like it ran a tiny bit small at the top. I loved it though, would definitely recommend!

I wore this dress to the reception party for an Indian wedding. It does run small and short. At 5'7" I definitely needed the long size. I wore the 6, but I usually wear a 4. The dress was tight in the middle and surprisingly not so tight in the chest. I was worried about straps falling down but that wasn't an issue. It's a beautiful fabric and has a bit of a weight to it. I felt beautiful and elegant and received many compliments.

I rented this dress for a formal outdoor wedding over Labor Day weekend. The dress I had originally rented was not available so I found this gem in the NYC flagship the day before the event. This dress is extremely flattering and super comfortable. I didn't want to wear tall heels since the wedding was in the grass and this dress was a perfect length. In these photos I am barefoot for reference. Would definitely rent this one again.

This was actually my backup dress thank heavens! I'm usually an 8 or 10, but after reading the reviews I rented the 12 as my backup (my hips and bottom can be quite snug!) I'm 5'7" and wore kitten heels (no more than 1.5") and I had a nice little train with it not being to short. Pros: beautiful color, it's absolutely gorgeous. The lace is heavy enough that it hangs well, but I was able to wear it to an outdoor wedding in Newport, RI in July and dance the night away without being uncomfortable. Wore spanx underneath and a strapless bra. Cons: I felt like the straps and top sagged a bit, so I was checking throughout the night to make sure my bra wasn't showing. I should have brought my fashion tape to tape the shoulder straps! Also - your heel can get caught on the lace if you aren't careful when stepping up/down steps and backwards!

I'm really glad I got the 6, I wear a 4 in most clothes but I'm finding that in gowns a 6 is usually more comfortable. This dress has great structure and is so elegant and timeless. Being short, it was the perfect length with heels (I wore 5 in heels). Love this dress!

Stunning dress! I felt like Poison Ivy (just missing my red hair)! It hugged in all the right places. I don't like when you can see a belly button outline but I also hate spanx. I didn't have to worry about either with this dress. The lace overlay hides and the dress flatters. I could wear a normal bra with this dress and it even has strap guards at the top of the sleeves to keep your bra straps in place. I rented the earrings too. I would rent both again. Cons: fits just about one size small. I normally wear an 8-10 dress, and 10-12 in designer and the 12 fit perfectly. The 10R was shorter than the 12R. I wore 4in heels with the 12 (I'm 5'4"), and could've worn 2in heels with the 10R.

I've used RTR for three other occasions, all proms. This dress fit me perfectly, and was just absolutely stunning. I'm 5'3" and wore 4" heels, and definitely needed the long; the dress definitely runs short! It was easy to walk in because of the long, flowy skirt, and I was complimented on it all night. I paired the dress with the suggested earrings which were perfect!

I rented this dress for a black tie wedding. It was super comfortable and easy to dance in. I typically wear a 4-6, depending on the cut and I fit easily into the 4. My only issue was with the shoulders, the straps were loose on me, but I'm only 5'1. I fixed the straps with pins and was fine all night, even with dancing.

Surprisingly comfortable to wear despite being a mermaid dress. Easy to move, dance, and eat in. The lace is looking a bit worn under the arms but nothing visibly noticeable. The 6R fit my waist and hips perfectly, where my measurements are 35-30-40. I have been eyeing this dress for a long time and was so glad I finally rented it.

This dress was so perfect for prom. I procrastinated and shopped very last minute, but wearing this dress made me feel like I planned ahead! I see a lot of people say it is very short, but I personally liked the length even with heels. First of all, this was not my first choice. I originally chose the Badgley Mischka Ivy Gown which was way too short, a long wasn't available in my size, so I had to find a replacement, quickly! I called customer service Friday afternoon, and they sent me a few links of gowns that could be delivered by noon on Saturday. This dress is not one I would have ever chosen, but luckily, I was down to the wire and liked this the best out of the other available gowns, and I am so happy I ended up with this one and not my original choice. I normally wear a 10-12, and judging from the "regular" length of my original choice, I went with a 12L, although I have never in my life worn a long in anything! The length was perfect (I wore 2.5" heels), and the dress fit like a glove and really accentuated my hourglass figure. Not much give in the fabric/lace, but I believe what makes the dress look so amazing. The straps were a little longer than I would have liked, which caused me to show a little more cleavage than I am used to, but overall, I had many compliments, and felt gorgeous in it. The pictures do not do this dress justice, it is beautiful in person, and great quality. This was my first RTR experience, and the customer service alone has me as a customer for life!

The fit was perfect; I have a 30 in waist and 41 in hips, the size 8 was great. I am 5'10" so I got the long size. It was the perfect length as long as I didn't wear heels.
