Wished there was a slit but fit really well

The dress was amazing!!! I've never received as many compliments as I did in this dress. I felt beautiful and sophisticated which is very unusual for my tom- boyish self. I was worried about wearing a 4p bc I'm usually a 4-6r but the fit was perfect. I bought a lot of tape due to previous reviews which worked perfectly. The back kept coming down but I couldn't find the low strapless bra that I wanted so I tried to tape the dress above my bra in the back. Worked out well. It's easy to dance in, gorgeous color and has a lovely short train in the back. The customer service was fantastic! They immediately responded to all my questions and were amazing to work with. They went above and beyond. This was a backup dress bc my original pick was damaged and they couldn't send it out to me. It worked out perfectly. I was really nervous bc the dresses did not arrive until 9:30pm the night I was leaving for the destination wedding. I was very stressed but they made sure everything got there. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

I love this dress so much! I usually wear a 4R, but the dress was a little short for me with heels so I wore the 6R which was the perfect length. I would recommend wearing a backless bra because the back is low. This dress made my senior prom special, thanks Rent the Runway!

This dress was perfect - comfortable, figure-flattering, and elegant for a summer gala.

The fit was great except for the top portion. I was having issues with top opening a bit but I am also very busty so that could be the reason. Overall, great dress!!

I thought I would wear the size 4R but the size 2R fit better. I was 26 weeks pregnant and the dress fit perfect over my belly, material was stretchy. It was very comfortable and the color was beautiful.

Coral color is beautiful and great with gold accessories and nude shoes... Unfortunately for me, that was also exactly the color/jewelry/shoe color of the bridesmaids. So that was pretty comical to my friends and extremely embarrassing for me. Haha. Anyhow, I got the 4R. Fit hugs the body but the ruching of the jersey material is forgiving even with an amazing reception appetizer buffet. I'm 5'4 and wore 2" heels. The hem skimmed the floor. I wore a 32 B strapless push up bra and the bust fit well without too many gaps like the 6R. (It's all about the bass on my body, no treble up top ;-)

This was my first rental so I was super nervous about size. I was pleasantly surprised that the fit was right on! The fabric is wonderful, especially since we traveled. I didn't have to worry about wrinkles. I decided to wear the neckline as an off the shoulder boat neck, I found it more flattering that a halter. The length was great in the front but was a little long in the back, so has to get new shoes at the last minute. Other than that, this dress is a home run!

Beautiful dress, worn for a black tie wedding in August. Color was very bright and pretty, dress was extremely comfortable and I received compliments all night!

The 4L fit better but the 6L length was better w 3 inch heels. The sticky bra was crucial for look as the fabric isn't super thick.

Okay so this was sent to me as my original dress wasn't available ...and I wasn't sure due to my curves and not flat tummy. But I tried it on. Made me feel like a movie star. It was too risque for the wedding but I thought I should show it off for girls looking for a formal dress to show their curves. It made me feel like I should be on a red carpet. I was impressed how pretty I felt as I usually never wear this "body hugging" or tight of a dress but it impressed me!

I adored this dress and received so many compliments. The color was perfect for a spring/summer event and the 4R fit me perfectly. It was very comfortable, but it is very form fitting and a backless bra is a must. I received the dress on time, it was in perfect shape straight out of the box, and it was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Thank you RTR, I will be back!!

This dress was overnighted to me as a backup when both of my original dresses were too big, from the absolutely wonderful staff of RTR, and literally saved the day! It is the most gorgeous color, and makes you look really tan! I pulled the top straps down a little for more of a boatneck look. I am very short and was concerned the length would make it difficult to walk, but this dress is perfect for petite women because it isn't too long, it was perfect with 4'' heels on my 5'1''/5'2'' frame. I am short but very curvy, and it definitely hugs your curves but beceause of the extra fabric around the mid-section, its very flattering. The fabric is not very thick however, so be aware of that with underwear. I wore a sticky nu-bra because the back is very open and wouldnt hide a strapless bra. Overall, beautiful well-fitting gown that I really stood out in amongst all the other dark dresses at this black tie wedding. Definitely would reccommend! Fit great, stretchy around curves-felt so confident and sexy in this dress!

I rented this dress for my sister-in-law (she's 5'7.5 and a size 4) and it worked perfectly. The material doesn't wrinkle and flows wonderfully and the color was so bright and vivid. It was comfortable, fit well and was easy to dance in!

Gorgeous color! Got lots of compliments. It was tricky to get into (spanx & nu bra are a must) but very comfy once it was on. The straps didn't lie flat, so I wore it off the shoulder & it worked fine. A note on length: I wore the 8R & it was a little shorter than expected. Ended up wearing gold sandals instead of heels as planned.

I wore this to a formal wedding this past weekend and loved it! The dress is so beautiful - the color, the material and the overall fit were great. The one exception is that the top was a little large (most things are on me) but if I adjusted the straps to wear them off the shoulder rather than a halter style, then it fit better. Spanx are a must as the fabric is clingy, but with the right undergarments, the dress lays beautifully. Very happy with the RTR service as well - would definitely rent again!

I rented this dress for the Marine Corps Ball. I am 24 weeks pregnant so got a size 8 (usually a 4 or 6) I love everything about it, however the top is really low and it's hard to find a bra that works with this dress. The back is really low so you'll need a backless bra which was hard for my with being pregnant and big chested right now. I had to use lots of pins but absolutely loved it!

The material is super comfy, but very form fitting. I ended up not being able to wear panties with it, because even the "invisible" ones from VS wouldn't work. The back is fantastic, but it kept sliding down a bit, exposing my bra. I would suggest getting one that goes very low, or wearing a version of the backless bra. The length was perfect, long enough but not so long that I was stepping on it. I would suggest fashion tape if you're wanting to have the straps on your shoulders! The rental process was absolutely amazing, and I will definitely order again! The customer service I received was above and beyond what I would have ever expected. I ended up having to change the delivery address TWICE before they shipped the dress. Plans and locations changed, and the customer service staff didn't skip a beat.

Looked great with a tan, I'm 5'5" and the 2R fit better, but was too short to wear with tall heels. Definitely need nipple covers of some sort. The material is very thin so it shows all. Definitely need full breasts for this dress

This dress was so comfortable, it felt like I was wearing pajamas! The fit was beautiful, and the dress was easy to dance in. It definitely needs a backless bra - I used one from Nordstrom with real bra cups and adhesives on the sides that worked great. One note: It was HOT the day of my event, and the material shows watermarks (ie, sweat) quite easily; but they dry quickly and don't leave stains. Just a heads up for any other ladies out there who, like me, well, sweat. :) I would definitely rent this dress again.

I would suggest if you rent this dress to try on a few different bras with it to make sure your straps aren't showing in the back. I wore a convertible bra from VS but still had to pin the dress straps to the bra straps to prevent them from showing. Unfortunately the straps wouldn't stay flat in the back... Other than that it was a great look!

This dress is beautiful. I ordered it as my first choice but ended up going with my back up dress that i ordered. I just had a baby a year ago and the girls don't quite stand at attention the way they used to. it had nothing to do with the dress, I just didnt think it did me justice like the other dress. It was a hard choice to pick between the two. This is a curve hugging, make your booty look amazing dress. the color is wonderful and fun. My husband liked it as well. I am beyond happy with RTR and wish I would have known about this webiste 5 weddings ago. Thank you RTR for giving woman a chance to feel beautiful!

Fit was true to size. I'm 5'7 and with 4in heels the long was perfect in length. Spanx are an absolute must. Amazing color. So comfortable! This was the dress I picked bc my original choice was damaged. I was super nervous but it ended up working out! A backless bra needs to be worn!

I rented this dress for my baby shower at 30 weeks pregnant. The dress fit around my bump just how I wanted as all my ladies told me I had to wear something that would show it off. The color was perfect for the summer as well as the light Jersey material. The back of the dress is very elegant with the crossed straps and ruching on the butt. The mermaid skirt is also very flattering. I suggest planning on wearing something under the gown if you are expecting as it is quite low cut and other areas grow along with the bump. Great dress!!

This dress is gorgeous. Another Nicole Miller hit in my opinion. I ordered both the 0P and the 2R (since the 2P wasn't available) and ended up wearing the 2R. Even though I am just 5'2" (and 114 lbs-athletic build) I wore really big platforms with the dress and it worked out very well. I note that some women are wearing the straps a bit differently but for myself, this was the best and most comfortable. I wore an invisible adhesive bra underneath and that was perfect! (highly recommend these btw for an event lasting a few hours!) The dress hangs beautifully and does show off every curve and detail. Wear it like you OWN it! ;)

Pictures don't do this dress justice. I loved the style and color of this dress! I am 5'9", and was able to wear 4" heels! I wore backless bra that taped on the sides. I would also recommend wearing spanks, because underwear lines will show. Beautiful color and so fun! I received a ton of compliments and was comfortable to dance the night away!

This is a great dress for shorter ladies! I'm just about 5'1 and with a nice heel the length was perfect! A dress that doesn't drag is such a hard find! Thanks RTR love you!

Was able to wear my regular strapless bra underneath just pulled down low in back. Wished I had gotten thing spanks for underneath since you could slightly make out underwear through back of dress. Loved the look with straps pulled to shoulders.

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and this dress worked only sizing up one size and the regular length was good for me with the bump and wearing 1.5 inch heels. The top can be worn a couple different ways. I actually wore a victoria secret strapless bra with this and pulled the back down a little lower and for the front I needed several pieces of fashion tape. This dress is about cleavage so if you don't want to show that off, I would recommend a different dress. The material is pretty stretchy. The material is quite thin. I wore preggo spanx and had to try a few pairs that wouldn't show and had to get one with a raw hem rather than a stitched hem Bc you could see it. If you don't have fashion tape, I don't think you can wear this dress. It stayed out for me pretty well with it and was comfortable and pretty.

I felt the dress was a bit large, especially in the chest. I think a 2 would have fit better. I felt like I was going to fall out of the front all night. I needed to wear an adhesive bra with the open back, although you may be able to get by with a bra with a convertible or multiway bra and form fitting slip. The color was lovely and got many compliments.

The dress fit me exactly how I thought it would. I am between a 4 and a 6 and would have gotten both if available. Since a 4R was only available, I took a risk and it paid off. I had to wear "spanx" underneath of course to stay smooth and unlike others, I wore a regular bra but modified it w/ a wrap around strap to lower the back and crisscrossed & loosened up the shoulder straps to hide underneath the dress. I brought fashion tape but didn't need it (although my guy did adjust the straps a couple times during the night). The reasons why I took off a star: 1) if you look at the 2nd pic, you'll see that the bottom of the dress is very wrinkled upon arrival. I used a warm iron and it took care of most of the wrinkles, 2) the dress was a tad short for my 5'5" frame. A size 6R might have taken care of this but I just wore lower heeled shoes and it worked out great, and 3) I had to adjust the straps and pull down the bottom of the dress throughout the night which made it not as carefree as I would have liked. HOWEVER, with those 3 cons, this dress still definitely deserves high marks! Loved if and will definitely rent from RTR again!

The top is very weird and slips during the evening. I wore the straps off the shoulder per other reviewers' suggestions but I still spent the evening adjusting the breast area. Otherwise dress was a great fit.

The dress was a beautiful color. It has a small train which I spent a lot of time removing from under my heel. I was in 3 inch heels and the regular length was fine for me. The store told me to get the long and I'm very grateful I didn't. I normally wear a 6 but definitely needed a 4 in this one which was unavailable. There is plenty of room for a large bust. I don't have one, so had to wear the sleeves off my shoulders to get things to look right. No fashion tape on hand, but luckily everything stayed put. Didn't have to wear any shape wear underneath either.

Loved the color and overall look of this dress. The top was hard to wear with me being a larger-busted woman. I had to use dress tape and wore a backless sticky bra. The fabric is some what thin, so I had to find the right shaper that wouldn't show through. Overall I was happy with this dress and got a lot of compliments.

This dress was perfect for my med school formal! I got help from customer service to help me figure out my size (they are amazing, btw). I usually wear a 2 but this fit perfectly. It was a little long for me but heels helped with that. This was actually my backup dress because the other dress I ordered was too large. Because the original dress I wanted didn't have any backup sizes available for my date, RTR threw this one in free of charge when I told them that I was concerned the other one would not fit. I definitely recommend this service to anyone who needs a dress!

I ordered the regular 8 and 8 long, the length on 8 long was to long so i went with 8 reg and it was excellent. Tons of compliments and a very comfortable dress. Bertha
