It fit perfect. I felt secure! I highly recommend this dress if you want something simple and cute but still want to make a statement!

The fabric was thick and never had to worry about it falling down. One thing about the fabric being so thick and sturdy is that I couldn't raise my arms up fully but other than that it was perfect.

I usually wear a 0 or 00, I ordered a 2 as backup. My boyfriend did his best to help zipper the 0 in the back and we had such trouble because the zipper is too small for the thick fabric. I tried on the 2 and was able to zipper it more successfully. Wearing a size up, but in a body con dress, it fit in a snug way, but I did have to have my boyfriend pull up the back of the dress while I pulled the front only once because it was a little loose. Pros: Wearing one size up means you can dance on the dance floor like it's no one's business and boogie down to the break of dawn because you have more mobility of the arms, also you can eat as much food as you'd like because it's black and barely loose. Wearing true to size means the dress fits you better than a glove and is more of a second skin or wetsuit. Cons: Wearing one size up means that every once in a while (like twice) you'll need to pull the dress up just a smidge (like after using the restroom or sitting down for a prolonged period of time) and the dress isn't as tight around your booty and stomach as the smaller size. Wearing true to size means that there is no way you will ever be able to lift your arms up to even help you up and down stairs (no, seriously) After the whole event, I am so glad I wore a size up so I could move my arms around more while I still looked just as beautiful.

Loved this dress, fit true to size, the slit is just enough but not to high. The material is thick and form fitting. The top portion stays in place and doesn't really limit arm movements (just full arm raises) The sides are sheer and really eventuate curves. Can't go wrong with black in my opinion!

I rented both the 10R and 12L (all that was available) I didn't try the 12 on because I already knew it would be too long bc I have short legs. I just had a baby 4 1/2 months ago so spanx really helped. I wore a strapless bra. The fabric is thick so I felt like that helped hold me in as well.

Something went wrong with the original size I ordered so I was sent a 12L as a back up. Although it felt a little big, the dress was comfortable and I received endless compliments all night long!

Highlights Pros and cons I rented 4L I am 5' 10" and 135, 32c, usually size 6 but I wanted a tight fit so got the 4. It fit like a glove. The picture doesn't show but there are mesh panels cut out on either side of your torso. So the entire side stretches and makes your waist look tiny. The length was perfect with 3-4 inch heels. I had complete strangers coming up to me and complimenting this dress. I had a older gentleman turn to me at the bar and after nodding at one another he said "nice dress", and that all he said. I wore the recommended earrings. Someone else needs to zip you up, and don't even try to drive in this dress. In one of the pics you'll be able to see the side panels of the dress.

The dress fit perfectly and was so much fun to wear! I felt glamorous in it and got lots of compliments! I honestly wish I owned the dress it was just so beautiful! It got me like a glove, but probably would order long if I were going to wee it again.

I'm 5'3 and 130 lbs. The 4R fit like a glove, the 6R fit good too but the 4 was more form fitting so I went with that. I wore it to a gala which was fine bc the off the shoulder party doesn't let you raise your arms much but there wasn't too much dancing at this event. Loved the knot detail.

Attended a film noir theme wedding and this dress was perfect. Wore a corset - like top under it and it worked perfectly with the dress. Highly recommend and wish I owned it!!

I'm 5'5 and the 4L was the perfect length my shoes were 3.5 inch heel. It was a perfect dress for a formal wedding, I was going for casual sexy and I feel that was achieved. I loved the mesh/see through side panels. I wish the keyhole was showcased more but I think because of the shoulders felt a little loose it wasn't tight enough to show. All around a beautiful well fitting dress I could dance in.

I LOVED this dress - it fit perfectly, really nice material. It was so soft and comfortable, and really easy to style. I'm never sure what size I am since it varies so much between places, and this was my first RTR order. I got a 0 and a 2 and wore the 2, was a little more comfortable. I absolutely loved how I looked in it, it's a super flattering dress! Only thing to note - you will not be able to lift your arms very high, so be prepared for underarm sweat and restricted arm movement. I thought it was 100% worth it but others might not.

I ordered this dress for my senior prom and loved how classy it looked. I had read other reviews and decided to get a long since I'm about 5'10". Even without heels, the dress didn't touch the ground by probably a half inch. I would definitely recommend getting a long if you're any taller than this or plan on wearing heels. You have limited arm mobility and the sleeves stretch out throughout the night. It is really flattering and the material is thick, making it hot. I didn't necessarily need to wear a bra with it but it helped keep the dress up. Overall this dress was beautiful and I would definitely rent it again!

Such an elegant dress. The material is thick and really flattering. I used fashion tape to keep it flat on my chest, but I don't think I'd have any problems if I was a cup size larger. Highly recommend!

This dress is absolutely stunning. It is a nice thick material and the dressed stayed up all night. No need to worry about the shoulders or front falling and the slit is just perfect!

The dress fit perfectly and looked stunning--compliments all night! The hanger straps were very short for some reason and I couldn't tuck them in and they were showing in all pics. Had to pin them underneath my armpit and had to repin a few times during the night. However, the dress was well-worth that snafu. The slit and neckline were so sexy, and the whole dress had an old Hollywood feel. I'm 5'9" ordered a long and could still dance on flip flops on the dance floor without ruining the dress. Last note on the RTR experience. This dress came mid snowstorm so I didn't get the back up size--I lucked out that the size I received fit, because the alternate dresses they sent weren't remotely similar in style or glamour.

This dress runs small! I normally wear a 0/00 but ordered the 2R with a 4R backup because the 0R was not available. I'm SO thankful I ordered a backup size! I couldn't zip the 2R! The sides are sheer which isn't really noticeable in the stock photos but it's definitely visible in photos with a flash.

After searching for hours trying to find the perfect gown for a formal wedding, I finally stumbled across this one and I'm so glad that I did. I got compliments on it all night. The only cons that I have is that the off shoulder style makes it difficult to raise your arms which was to be expected and the zipper was a little difficult. My dress size is anywhere from a 0-4, so after reading the reviews, I opted for a 4 and went for the L since I knew I wanted to wear high heels. The fit was comfortable, not skin tight. I felt like a celebrity in the dress - I would definitely rent it again!

The dress fit perfectly! Runs true to size, although a little big around the shoulders but that's to be expected with off the shoulder dresses. Originally, I was worried that it would be too short (I stand about 5'11 in heels), but a regular was fine.

Gorgeous dress! Received compliments all night. I'm 5'3" and normally wear a 2/4. The 4 fit perfectly. One thing to note is that it is pretty tight around the lower stomach region and you won't be able to lift your arms. I definitely recommend this dress!

The dress that I really wanted to wear was canceled because a previous renter had damaged it, so I wore this one, my back-up. I tried it on when I received it and my second size, 2r fit like a glove. It was still tight, I usually wear a 0 so I was surprised, but it worked. The dress length was perfect with my 3 inch heels. I'm 5'3". The chest fit perfect, too. If I had a larger chest, I think it may have been difficult to zip (34B). I'm not sure why the cut out is visible in my dress, but I liked the look, so that was just fine. Overall, great rental!

This dress is elegant and fashion-forward! I absolutely loved the off the shoulder style and the mid-thigh slit. It has a body hugging fit. I am 5'8 and the regular length hit my ankles. You definitely cannot go wrong with this dress!

I have to be cautious when choosing clothing for my body type.. I have hips and I am curvy. Clothes do not always sit/fall/hug on me like they do in the pictures. However this material is great quality and giving and stretchy! It hugged me in all of the right areas. Of course the arms were a tad restricted but that wasn't anything I couldn't handle. I got a size 12L and 10L ... I ended up to my surprise wearing the smaller size! It just hugged better and fit me better in the bust area since I do not have a large chest. I loved this dress!

This dress is gorgeous and I really loved the material! Some were saying that it ran small so I went with a size up for my backup but I wish I had gone the size down. I think the 8 might have still been to small but the 10 was slightly loose so it would have been nice to see how the 8 fit. Without a bra, the top would surely be falling down so if you are more pear shaped like me, definitely plan to wear a bra or go a size down. The length was great (I wore 3 inch heels and it hit just above the ground) and I didn't feel all that restricted by the arm straps even when I was dancing, but that's probably because the dress was slightly big up top. If you are worried about the sheer parts of the dress on the sides being revealing, they aren’t at all! Barely noticeable and make the dress more flattering around the midsection in my opinion. All in all, a great choice!

This was my first time renting from RTR and I was extremely nervous. I wore this dress to the Marine Corps Ball and fell in love with it! I was mostly worried about the length of the dress since I'm on the shorter side but I was able to wear reasonable heels and the length was perfect. I would definitely rent this dress again!

This dress runs small IMO.. I am pretty consistently a size 0 but I ordered the 2 as a backup size and it was very tight fitting. I think a 4 would have fit best. With that being said, the dress was very pretty and well made. You can wear a strapless bra, no problem. The material is nice and thick and has a little stretch to it. You can't really see the detail in the photos but there is a panel of black mesh material that runs down either under your arms until your hips. Because of the straps around the shoulders you have limited movement of your arms, so not a great choice if you plan on doing any dancing!!

The dress was very comfortable. It's very fitted but doesn't prevent you from walking. The slit in the dress really makes the dress pop especially when wear heels that compliment.

Yet another RTR dress I didn't want to take off! This dress was so comfortable, fit so well, and was so much fun to wear! The sleeves, of course, were a bit restricting, but I thought they were still really comfortable. There are sheer panels on both sides of the dress, but you can't see through them when you're wearing the dress. I didn't even bother trying on the 8, since the 6 fit perfectly. My only size concern was the length; I'm 5'2" and wore the regular length with 3 inch heels, and it still was a little too long. If you're on the shorter side, definitely plan on taller heels! Overall, a wonderful dress!

This was my first dress renting from RTR and I was so pleased. The material is a bit stretchy, I ordered my dress in a size smaller than what I usually wear and it fit me perfectly. Without heels, the length of the dress was perfect (I'm 5'11). With heels, it fell a bit short but it didn't look bad and/or noticeable. The arm bands did restrict me a bit while dancing but I got used to it fairly quickly. Truly a perfect and elegant dress.
