I rented this dress for a Black Tie Optional Wedding. I loved the idea of a red dress and it wasn't a bright red it was more of an orange-red which I thought was pretty. The style was really nice with the criss-cross back and form fitting bottom and high-neck front. Unfortunately I had a few issue's with this dress and my body type. I ordered a 2 & a 4. Both fit; the 2 was a bit more snug but if I did choose to wear this dress I would have chosen the 2 over the 4. The top on both was way too big for my chest (I have a small bust) but mostly because it created this odd side flap on both sides which you can see in the picture. I could have worn the dress and just dealt with it, but it was just weird to me that the sides were not hugging my body and were sticking out because it made it look like it didn't fit me (the straps are not adjustable). The length was nice. I wouldn't rent again due to the odd fitting on the sides and chest. Maybe just not good for my body type!

This dress was phenomenal- but thank goodness for the back up size! I'm almost always a 0 (5'7, around 130 pounds) but wore the 2 (and it was snug, particularly in the rear). It definitely runs small, but is a show-stopper!

This dress was perfect the gala that I attended last year. I was wearing 4 and it fits like a glove. I got a lot of compliments. It was the perfect color too cause i love red. The only con was that both back sides of dress on both keep making a flapping it's like you have a pocket in the back. But overall it was a beautiful dress and i can't wait to get my second rent for another dress this year.

For me this dress was almost perfect. I am 5 ft and with a 4 inch heel length was perfect so maybe not your choice taller ladies. The back was the only area that was loose but I tied it up at my Neck and pretty much fixed this issue. Stunning color and design. Flattering fit, comfortable, danced the night away

So many compliments in this beautiful dress. I am a 2/4 and I couldn't close the 2. The 4 was perfect on the body but the straps were too long by an inch on each side (likely because I'm not busty) so I had to pin them in the back.

The fit was a bit baggier for me then I would like but the fit was perfect and the color was amazing. 100% would recommend even for bigger bust

I was a bit nervous about how this dress would fit after reading all the reviews. Fortunately, the free back up size (2R) fit me perfectly and I had no problems with the dress poking out in weird places. While I am slender, I have more an hourglass figure, so the dress fit tightly in the butt and hips however it was not uncomfortable. The dress was a bit tight around the neckline but as the night went on it stretched out. The color is stunning in person. I felt beautiful, sexy and classy all at the same time. I got a million compliments all night. I wore this dress to a law school Barristers Ball Black Tie Event.

Two words: SHOW STOPPER. Gals, if you want to make every head turn in the building, rent this dress! I received compliments all night. Not only that, but the dress made me feel like a celebrity. I wish I could wear this dress everyday of my life. If you are worried that the slit / open chest is too much, it's not. It is the perfect touch to a dynamite dress. A must rent!

The fit was perfect! Fabric is so soft and most importantly - wrinkle free!! I got so many compliments on the dress.

This dress was perfect ! There was a little extra material in the back which could've been fixed by a little tape. I forgot to buy the tape and I could care less about the extra material. It still looked fine. This dress was perfect for my curves and made them look even better. So many compliments. I'm usually a 2/4 and went with the 4.

The sides of the dress were loose on me - sounds like that was a common problem from reading the other reviews. Fashion tape on the sides should work to fix the problem. Other than that the dress was awesome! Got a lot of compliments all night!

ORDER A SIZE OR TWO UP. This dress runs small on the waist and big in the chest, and my body type is small on top and large in the waist. It was very form-fitting around the butt, but gaped around my chest. Luckily, it wasn't anything that fashion tape and wrapping the halter straps around the buttons couldn't fix. I ordered this for prom and got so many compliments. The color is beautiful and I was so happy with it!

I ordered a 0 and 2 and got a 2 and 4 delivered. Worked out great bc im usually a 2 and it was snug. Im pretty large im thr chest area so went braless and was a little hesitant to do so but it worked out. Loved the color and the fitting through the hips and stomach. Gorgeous dress! P

Love this dress, the 8 fit true to size, the length was perfect but I ordered a 6 because the other comments said the back was big, however the bottom was too tight in the 6. I had to pin the straps up so that the back didn't sag, but the dress is gorgeous and I got so many compliments!

No doubt about it, it's a GORGEOUS dress. Beautiful details, from the shoulders, to the tasteful slit Unfortunately the other reviews were right about this stress, the back is wayyyy too big (I could easily pull the back part 3 inches from my back), I feel like it's a flaw in the designer's measurements because I'm not sure what body type would actually fit in this dress. I want to note I have a proportional body and my shoulders/upper body aren't that small either. I had to be creative and have my sister graciously spend ~30 minutes creatively using safety pins to make it work. It included twisting the top and holding it with a hair tie, hidden under my hair, and pulling up my dress to use the ladies room instead of using the zipper (which was held by many pins). If you're willing to make amends to make this dress work, then go for it :) It was worth it for me but took effort to make it work ~

The red hue of this dress is a show stopper. I loved the way this dress hugs every curve and also surprises with a gorgeous back-less effect. It is definitely made for a larger bust, as even being 34DD, I still experienced some minor gapping. Other than that, this dress runs true to size and is sure to get you noticed!

The dress was gorgeous!! The fit was almost perfect except for the back. There was some extra material, but not noticeable from the front.

Beautiful dress! However my husband had it pinned and fashion taped in the back. The dress straps are not adjustable and it just did not fit right up top. It worked and was a hit.

The dress was too big around the back where it buttons, so I ended up having to use a rubber band to hold it tight otherwise it bows out badly in the back and under the arms. Otherwise, the bottom fit great and I loved the dress.

This dress fit well from the waist down (and was the perfect length) but it was HUGE in the chest area. I'm very flat chested but even if I could've filled it out, I think it would've been loose in the back/sides. I should note - my usual size is a 4 but I had to order a 6 (because the 4 was unavailable) so maybe it wouldn't have been as bad if I ordered the correct size. Overall, this would be a great dress for busty girls but if you're flat chested - I do not recommend!!

Pros: show stopper; great color; great fit for petite frames; no bra required (I'm a 32C/D) Cons: the back needs fashion tape but after that you're golden; the straps are more like ropes and can be uncomfortable if you don't adjust them every so often

The dress was a hit! I wore it to a rehearsal dinner for a wedding. It was great because I wasn't moving around too much ( it would have been a little tricky to dance in) normally I am a 2R but I had to wear the 4R. I couldn't fit the smaller one around my hips, but the 4R fit like a glove. I would recommend this to anyone! The only down side is straps were digging into shoulders by the end of the night.

Very form fitting, loved it

This dress runs small. I thought the 2 would be fine (since I usually wear a 2) but it was just a little too snug in the booty/hip areas. I was even worried that the 4 might have looked a little too tight since it really hugs your lower half but the dress was still a hit. You definitely do need to use fashion tape or some other mechanism to deal with the back part being weirdly loose which is kind of annoying but I think the dress is worth it. Overall, it was a very fun dress that stood out for a formal affair.

I have an hourglass shape and this dress fit well in the hips and tummy, but was big in the waist. Slit is higher up than I expected, but not too revealing. The back tapers out a little bit, and it's a little hard to tack down with fabric tape. Fabric was very wrinkle-free and a gorgeous color. Beautiful dress and very comfortable!

The bust was too big for my frame

Pretty color. The dress I received was definitely worn... The overall fit is great, but you need to have a flat tummy or some serious spanx!! The back is gorgeous, the sides kind of stuck out (in the cut out) so you'd need to tape that down.

This was a beautiful dress but it was too small to wear. I'm usually a 4 and that's the size I ordered but the bottom of the dress was uncomfortably tight and the top was too loose. Even if I had ordered a 6, I still would have had to pin it somehow so that there wasn't extra fabric on the sides and top.

The dress is an incredible fit waist down, but the top fits all wrong. The straps on the back are too loose and causes the sides of the top to flair out. Not a good look but you can fake it by putting your arms down. Not a long term solution, obviously!

Like a lot of the reviews say the fit of this dress is tricky so it didn't end up working out for me. My normal size fit well on the bottom (a bit on the long side) but from the chest up it was super lose. However I will say a girl at the wedding I was at wore it and it looked great on her, tall and very thin.

This dress is so incredibly pretty and I wanted it to work so bad; however, the fit was just not right. Small in the bottom and top gapped so bad. I probably needed 3 cup sizes larger to fill out.

This dress is beautiful and I wanted to love it however the top is much too large as the sides stick out like batwings. I tried so much tape to no avail. The bottom ran small as well.

Unfortunately, the dress was unwearable for me. As the majority of the reviews state, the tops runs large. However, what the reviews didn't state is that the bottom runs small. Typically I wear a size 4 dress size. I couldn't walk in the 4R because the bottom was so tight. The backup 6R fit fine at the bottom however I was SWIMMING in the top, there isn't enough fashion tape in the world to fix it. Luckily, RTR has awesome customer service and I was able to exchange it immediately.

Runs large! The top must be fitted perfectly to not give a free show.!

I usually wear a size 2, the 4 fit me best. I wanted so badly to wear this dress! The fabric, cut, and color are gorgeous, however, the top part was way too large...it was as if someone with a much larger chest than a size 4 had worn it and stretched it out. The back had a huge gap. There was no way I could make it work. So unfortunate!
