I rented this for a 1920s themed party. The dress was very comfortable and easy to wear. I ordered the 6 and 8. Both fit but the 6 looked better. I would definitely rent it again. Would be a great New Year's Eve dress!

I wore this to our office holiday party with Oscar de la Renta tassel earrings also rented from RTR. I'm between an 8 and 10 and could have easily worn either size, but there was a little more room in the bust with the 10. I received tons of compliments all night! The style is simple but with enough intrigue to still be very special. Highly recommended :)

I wore this dress for my dance school's Christmas party. I got lots of compliments on it and would rent it again. I think if you had a larger bust, you would definitely want to size up . I normally wear a 2 or a 4 and wore the 2 here and it was more form fitting than I expected, but it was very flattering. I was expecting more of a sheath as shown on the model, but I am clearly more curvy than the model so it didn't fit that way! I wore it with black tights and little black suede booties but it would look great with bare legs too (just didn't have time to do a self-tan... so I went with tights!).

Arrived in perfect condition & didn't even need to be steamed! Was worried it'd be too small, but fit like a glove! Got compliments all night! Felt confident, comfortable, & beautiful. Would DEFINITELY rent again!!

Loved this dress, super comfortable and fancy with an aire of casual! I got both the 8 and the 6 and both fit but I wore the 6 because it was a hair more fitted. Either would have been fine. Loved this dress, I'd almost buy it.

This dress was great- super easy fit, I wasn't concerned about not eating! It was glamorous, especially when paired with a long necklace. It is a bit short, particularly if you're over 5'4 or 5'5 so be prepared to show some leg! Overall is was a great choice.

It is a fun and comfortable dress. I own a few Nanette Lepore dresses, this was ran a bit smaller than the others, sized up mainly for comfort!

Overall I loved the dress and got several compliments. I ended up wearing the bigger size because of my chest. The bottom of the dress definitely stretched out though as the night went on and became big. I wore a regular black bra thinking it was unnoticeable, but as you can see, the camera flash made it apparent. Would have done a strapless if I had realized this. Fabulous dress and I would wear it again.

I rented this dress for a bachelorette party. It runs a bit big, especially in the waist so I would size down for a backup. I cinched it with a belt and that helped. It was also just a tad long for a 5'2 girl but not much. Overall it was a well made, comfortable dress. I chose not to wear it due to a small quality issue that needed fixing. I'll be receiving a credit and hope to rent it again once it's repaired.

I got this dress in store after an appointment with a stylist. It was fun and edgy but still elegant enough for the event I attended. It's also pretty comfortable! The parts that are sequined on the shoulder area are a little itchy, but that didn't bother me.

Super comfortable. The only downfall was that it was SUPER short. I am 5'6" and I had to be very careful about my movements. It was very pretty and I received a lot of compliments.

This dress was so comfortable! I️ wore this dress to a wedding and received so many compliments. It did look a little stretched out in some places where it was just the fabric and no sequins, but overall it was a great dress!

I needed a conservative dress for an engagement party, and this was perfect. I'm currently inbetween sizes so the 6 was slightly too big and the 4 slightly too small, but since it's a shift, it's okay either way. I chose to wear the 6. It's a thick, heavy fabric. I was concerned that the sequins would be annoying, but the dress is great and comfortable. Great for showing off your legs, but it hides any other curves (shift dress!).

Super fun little black dress, conservative shift dress that shows off your legs. It is a bit short, but it added to the style of the dress.

I rented this dress for my sister's rehearsal dinner. The dinner was formal, but being the bombshell that she is, she requested that the bridesmaids and I (I was her MOH) not wear floor length gowns so she could "stand out" (as if she needed help with that!). I was struggling with finding a dress that was formal enough for the occasion without being a gown. This dress was the perfect find! I will say that it is a little shorter in person than in the picture, but it didn't look inappropriately short. I rented the 4R with the 6R as my backup size, and to be honest, I could have worn the 2R. I will attribute this to the fact, however, that the dress has no real shape to it (it IS a shift, after all), and also that this is probably the smallest I have been in the last five years--my sister and I did some pretty intense dieting prior to the wedding. I have quite a small chest, so I got away with going braless (I wore petals)! I do wish the neckline had been just a little lower. I like the crew neck cut of the dress, but it felt a little "too close for comfort" at times, but that is just personal preference. The sequins didn't bother me at all on the dress, and it was perfect for drinks and dancing after the dinner. You won't be disappointed with this dress!

I am busty and do not have a defined waist so the shift dress works well for me. I usually wear and 8/10 so I ordered both. They both fit, the 10 was more comfortable. I am leggy for someone of my height and the dress was short, not too short but taller girls might have an issue. The dress looked great in person and I got so many compliments!

Petite pear frame, so it was a bit big in the bust but still loves the dress. Does run short for those with long legs. I wore it to dinner with wedges ... Just be careful when lifting your arms :)

This dress is beautiful! The material is thick and great quality and runs true to size. Perfect for NYE dinner , dressed down with tall boots and a jean jacket. Will definitely rent again. I love this dress!

I wore this dress to an office Christmas party. I loved it and received a lot of compliments! It was very comfortable and had stretch to it so I wasn't terribly worried about damaging the sequins when I sat down. It was a fun, festive dress for a holiday party!

The dress was great. I am in a weird place size wise after having my kids. I was planning on the 10 and 12, but 12 was unavailable. 10 was fine but hugged my belly a little. 14 looked great, but was roomy. Received lots of compliments. Dress is thick but not stiff! Would wear again. I did wear a strapless bra bc the top sequin part is a little sheer.

The dress fit more tight than it did on the model. It has more shape to it around the hips than the picture of the model, so it does hang as straight. It was very comfortable, though, and I felt really good in it. It is made very well and looked awesome. I maybe could have gone up a size, but it wasn't available and I think the size 10 worked well.

I wore this dress to a night at the theater and loved it! Super comfy and classy! It was a bit on the big side.. as I usually wear a 12 but that size was all rented out. The 14 worked great because it has some stretch to it. I would definitely rent this again!

This dress was great! One size up probably would have been a bit better, but I didn't order a backup size because they were out of a 12 and ultimately this still worked well. More fitted than shift dress, but that is typical with my larger chest. It was short but perfect for NYE dancing. I love fun sparkly dresses with sleeves because then you aren't adjusting it or worrying about it slipping down all night. Sequins were a little scratchy, but that is also typical of any sequin dress.

Wore out in Vegas! I'm 5'8 and the dress was short - perfect when standing but shoorooort when sitting or dancing. Wore with a strapless bra since the top is sheer. It was thicker than I expected but a great dress. Runs big so I went a size down for a former fit.

This dress wasn't one I loved immediately when I saw it on the hanger because it is not the style of dress I usually wear. Once it was on, I felt very comfortable and glamorous at the same time. It photographed very well and fit the criteria for the charity event I attended. At some points of the night the sequins around my shoulder area felt itchy, but it was not unbearable. A great youthful twist on the LBD.

The dress was comfortable and a nice fit (despite the lack of smile in the pic - I liked the dress). It was a tad short (I'm 5'7"), so sitting for a 3 hour show wasn't ideal for this dress (kept having to try and pull it down).

Sorry I don't have a full-length photo! This dress runs a bit big (as one would imagine by the type of dress), but is also more form fitting than shown (unless you're very straight and small busted). I wore the 0, though the 2 fit fine as well. The 0 was pretty short, but appropriate for my event with black tights. Overall, I really liked it, but I do have to say the darts across the bust are pretty prominent and didn't photograph... the most flattering. Or very flattering.

Last minute dress picked up at RTR NY when my ordered dress did not work. This dress was elegant and comfortable.

I rented this dress for a 1920's flapper themed bachelorette party and it was perfect! The combination of satin and sequins was really beautiful. The dress is quite short (especially for someone almost 6ft tall) so I felt more comfortable in the bigger size and with tights. I'm typically an 8 but went with the backup size 10. Overall the dress was very comfortable, though the satin shows a bit of wear.

I loved all of the reviews on this dress however it didn't seem to look right on me. I ordered a 4 (my true size) and a 6 and both dresses did not lay right. They seemed bunched up on the sides and the front. Across the chest made me look like I had madonna horns. I did not end up wearing this dress but it was too late to send back.
