I rented this dress for a Great Gatsby party, and it was a perfect choice. The feather details at the hemline were wonderful, and I got many compliments throughout the evening. I originally ordered this dress in an XS, my normal size, but it was TIGHT, especially at the band on the skirt where the feathers start. I unfortunately did not order a second size, but RTW really came through and got the size S to me, along with another replacement dress, the day before me event.

This dress was perfect. I was worried an XS would be too tight but the dress is made out of a thin sweater material that stretches well and is flattering. The tightest part are the feathers on the bottom. It was a the perfect dress for my Great Gatsby themed birthday party, and I wished I owned it! Rent The Runway did an incredible job: One day before expected delivery the S in this dress was returned to them severally damaged. They still sent me the XS and let me choose another dress (2 sizes) regardless of price. 3 dresses in total made it to me on time! I had lots of options, and their wonderful customer service was greatly appreciated!

This dress was my backup choice because my first option ended up not being available. Once again I have commend RTR for their excellent customer service. I feel in love with this dress. It was so fun and would love to own this one! I love all the dresses I rent, haha! I wore this dress to a Roaring Twenties murder mystery party. The fabric was super starchy (wore spans underneath). The feathers do fall off but not that many. Perfect for a classic 1920s look.

I love love loved this dress. It was perfection for our Roaring 20's themed party. The fact that it was a lightweight merino sweater material made it perfect for cooler weather, and the feathers- gorgeous! I loved the length and couldn't quit swishing that skirt around. GORGEOUS! It was so comfortable and great to be able to wear a regular bra. Fantastic dress, wish it was mine!

I love this dress and hated to give it back! I got a ton of compliments on it. The dress is a very light sweater material with feathers on the bottom. I thought the feathers might be a bit much but they were adorable and gave an otherwise plain dress a little something special. It was very comfortable! I normally wear a size 8 and knew this dress was short so I ordered a medium and a large. The medium probably would have fit a little better but I wore the large for the extra length and it turned out great.

Fit perfectly, comfortable and accentuated my curves. Only negative was the slight shedding of feathers. Lost about five on the dance floor. I wore this to a 1920's 1930's themed night wedding. Fabulous choice. It didn't make me feel like I was at a custom party, but still respectful to the theme. Loved it!

I wore this dress to a halloween party. It was very comfortable and pretty and unique. I left a trail of feathers everywhere just from walking though.

This dress may seem really simple and a bit boring, but it really allows you to add accessories and make it your own. I wore my dress to a Gatsby-themed boat party, and it was perfect. Long pearls, rhinestones, and some T-strap shoes really make the outfit. Though many people who have reviewed this dress have used it for 1920's-themed events, it's definitely a dress that you could wear for non-themed events, too. Fair warning: the material is thick... like sweater-material-thick. It's perfect for autumn/winter events, but you might be pushing it if you'll be wearing it during any other part of the year. My event was the last week of May/first week of June BUT it was on a boat where temperatures dropped to 58 degrees so it really wasn't too bad. Something else to be prepared for: the feathers fall off the dress. It started as soon as I put it on. To be honest with you, I'm surprised there are still feathers on the dress from previous renters! And by the end of the night, the back of my thighs were tinted black from the dye on the feathers. Not really ideal, but I didn't care much since everyone was pretty intoxicated by the end of the night, and I'm sure they didn't care all too much. I'm 5'4 and the dress hit mid-thigh. It might be shorter for the taller gals, so if you can make it to a showroom, I'd highly suggest trying it on first. That or order a size-up for your back-up size just to take length into consideration.

Runs large. The dress is sweater material and gets bigger as the night goes on. Very comfy and cute, but be prepared to leave a trail of feathers wherever you go.

Great fit, it was so comfortable. The material is more of a sweater, with stretch to it. The feathers are so fun, and really make it unique. I loved this dress! I wore a small and it fit great, I was worried it would be too short but it was perfect.

I'm extremely tall (6"2) and this was just long enough. It does shed feathers a little. I would definitely rent this dress again.

I could have worn the medium or the large, but felt more comfy in the large. Material is very forgiving -- feathers are super fun -- but fall off.

The fit was great considering I am a pear-shaped and not too short or long.

Fit was good, the feather part was not stretchable at all so you have to tug it down a little if you need some extra "moves"! The fabric was itchy on my stomach but maybe because I'm an allergic person in general. I didn't look at the tag so not sure what fabric it was, felt like wool. Very nice fit overall.

The sweater material dress was incredibly comfy to wear to my company's (belated) 20s themed holiday party, which happened to fall during the Polar Vortex. I was very comfortable (and warm enough!) in the dress, perfectly in theme, and felt confident interacting with my firm colleagues (great coverage in the front, even though I have a large bust).

The dress fit great. As others have mentioned, it's made of a sweater material, which made it great for a New Year's Eve dress--I think it kept me a LITTLE warmer. The feathers are attached to a band without give--if you have thicker hips/butt, this could be a problem. For me, it made the dress ride up a bit during the night, but I didn't mind because my legs looked GREAT. I did wear it with hosiery too. I'm 5'8'', so not super tall, but the dress was definitely "short" on me. I like short dresses, so it wasn't a problem, but if you're on the taller side and looking for something longer, take that into consideration. In the end, I really loved this dress and would totally recommend it.

I didn't wear this as it was my back-up dress and i loved my first choice more. But it's a loose, thin sweater material that hangs in a very flattering way - the feathers really make it fun. Very comfortable. BE WARNED - In just trying it on carefully at home, I lost a few feathers so I can only imagine what night of dancing would do.

This dress is super comfortable and very flattering. Its form fitting without feeling tight or looking overly sexy. I rented the medium as my back up size, but wish I had gotten the XS instead since I think I could have gone a little smaller than the small. The only thing is that the feathers shed! I've rented a few dresses from RTR but this was by far my favorite thusfar.

The dress fit was fine and the material was forgiving. However, my entire house and everywhere I went had feathers everywhere. I wore this for a 1920's themed party and it worked great for the event, I just wish the feathers would have stayed put. You should have seen the venue, it looked like i murdered a black bird.

I was only able to order the size M, since the S was out of stock. I think the Small would have fit fine, but the cut of the dress did not flatter my body at all, so I am not sure I would have even worn it in the correct size. I was able to return the dress without any problems and was happy with the customer service at Rent the Runway, as usual!

Ordered this dress twice and while it was super cute both times the feathers on the bottom were slightly different the second time and it looked almost flapper-ish. Liked it better the first time. Cute for a girls night out, NYE, or bachelorette.

I rented this dress for my 30th birthday party and ended up wearing the backup instead. I rented the S and M b/c I'm a size 4, but the M was way too big and the S was better. I didn't wear it b/c I felt that the feather's looked a little cheap and it wasn't as flattering as I had hoped. Nothing too special...

If you are looking for a curve hugging fit, this isn't the dress.

I didn't realize when I rented this that the dress is actually sweater material. Just be aware before renting it that it's more casual in person than it appears in the photo. I ended up wearing this dress to the church and then changed into my backup dress for the reception later that night. Runs a little large so you may want to order a size down.

This is a sweater material and it was not flattering and not comfortable. The neckline was high on me and it looked very boxy. I didn't wear it to my event, but ended up wearing it for Halloween as a flapper.

i ended up returning and was not able to wear...I was told I would receive a credit for both dresses, but I only see credit for one dress...

Absolutely way too big ad too long for me. Had to return
