This dress for perfectly! Very true to size. I would never have picked it out for myself but I got it at the store after the dress that I originally picked out didn't fit correctly. The Stylist knew what she was doing, and picked this out for me for a black tie wedding.

I typically wear a size 4 but the 6 was snug. It also runs quite long, despite being "regular" it nearly grazed the floor even with heals. It's not the best for dancing as the style of the sleeve limits arm mobility but it was fun nonetheless and the skirt moves so well!

I rented this dress for a formal ball and received many compliments. It fit a little tight through the rib cage, but other than that was pretty true to size. The length of the 2R was perfect with my 3 inch heels. The only slight issue that I had with the dress is that the cap sleeves do not allow you to raise your arms very much, but this did not really bother me throughout a night with lots of dancing. Overall I really loved this dress.

Amazing dress that photographs well! I thought it would be too modest for my usual style but ended up looking so elegant! A lot of structure up top that forces you to sit up straight (maybe a little tiring after a long night), but keeps you looking good and not slumpy. Only complaint is that you can't really raise your arms higher than your shoulders due to the constricted nature of the of dress.

My picture doesn't really capture the beauty of the dress. I just loved it. As I described above, I felt like I was wearing a sophisticated princess style dress. It flows beautifuly as you walk. Has a hint of a train. We were at a black tie event and I had so many people approach me just to say how much they liked the dress. I proudly admitted it was from Rent the Runway. The size was just right. I usually wear a 4 but had lost a bit of weight, so I was 5'5" and 122 pounds. I highly recommend this dress for its originality and beauty.

I'm 5'10 so I got the long and it was perfect with heels. I absolutely loved how it looked in person. I also felt comfortable dancing and didn't worry. Great dress!

I loved this dress. Elegant and appropriate for my son's outdoor wedding. The inner dress is made of satin and on me it was too big on top. I added straps and a bit of dress tape and it worked great. I also added a navy, grosgrain belt. The length was perfect in 2" heels. Would recommend this dress.

True to size, conservative but fun, and very comfortable. Travels well, also. Ps the blue shawl was at the request of the gala for a pop of cobalt blue...

Petite might be better for those under 5'4'', otherwise the hemline may sweep the ground without high heels

Fit is true to size. The dress is light as air and I danced all night. Comfortable and easy yet so elegant. I received many compliments on it.

I am 5'1.5'' and 150 lbs, and I have a pear shaped body, so the top of the dress was a bit looser for me (though it still looked great overall), and the waist line down fit just right. I wore 3 inch-ish heels and the length wasn't too long at all, which is usually a problem for me with long dresses. The material is so great and didn't need any ironing even though I had folded it up in a suitcase - major pro in my book! It flows very well and looks very elegant. The color is like a grey-ish navy blue with little pops of purple in it - it's gorgeous!

This dress fit perfect. I wore 3 inch heels and didn't have any problems with the length. The top is pretty. Overall the dress is darker and not as striking in person as it is in the picture but I still enjoyed wearing it. As others have noted it is not possible to lift your arms above your head but I wore it to a wedding and danced all night without problem.

Got so many compliments on this beautiful dress. The picture doesn't even do it justice. It was so light and flowy. Dress was true to size. I probably could have gone petite instead of regular as I am only 5'3".

Fit: Perfect Fit. It ran long because there was no 0P, but because I wore 5" heels, it was fine. It still ran a little long, but I liked it. Detail: This dress has a dark purple hue to it. It also has silver designs. It looks prettier in person. *I ordered a backup, but didn't even try it on. This dress was perfect and I wish I could afford the retail price. I would wear this to every wedding if I could. Would rent from here again.

This was my first RTR experience and it was so wonderful, I am definitely renting again. This dress was beautiful - much lighter than it looks, and flowed well. I am not well-endowed so the top was a bit big on me but if I owned a padded bra that probably would have helped. It was also quite long - I am 5'7" and wore small heels, but was still tripping over the dress when I went up and down stairs. Overall though - from order, shipping and returning - this was such a seamless process and I will most definitely rent again!

I ordered this dress in a 10L and 12R. My waistline is short, my legs are long and my bustline is small. I found the 10L to be mostly perfect in the bust and length, but a tad too tight in the waist. The event I attended was a formal dinner with a cocktail beforehand, so I chose comfort over fit: 12R. I ended up tacking in the (very roomy) bust of the 12R and wearing flats. I was comfortable and received tons of compliments all evening! You can see in the photo that the length of the under dress is a bit short on me but the overskirt fits perfectly. I honestly for my height and leg length would have gone with the Long even though the overskirt would for sure be on the ground. It flowed nicely and wouldn't have been a problem. Definitely make time for steaming/ironing this dress! Overall, I absolutely LOVED it and would for sure order again!

Beautiful layering. The braline was a little tight where the seam meats but Lita of room for my 32DD with a bush up strapless. Arms were not forgiving to lift straight up. Not giving material. Very long. Short wasn't available. Had to wear 4 in heels. Lots of compliments.

The dress was absolutely gorgeous and photographs beautifully! Overall the fit was very good, but the bust was a little loose (I am a 30A though) and it was a little difficult to raise my arms very high. I am 5'8" and I wore flats and the 0R was perfect! The dress was way lighter than I expected which was a pleasant surprise, and the way it flowed was FANTASTIC!! It is very unique, and it definitely looks better in person. I received so many compliments all night and would definitely recommend this dress!

Dress was great! I'm 5'8" and bounce between a size 6 and 10 and so I ordered the 8L and it worked out perfectly. Maybe a tad on the slightly too big side, but since I belted the dress I had no problems whatsoever. Probably could have done an 8R, but I wanted to be sure the dress would cover my 4" heels and it did plus a little extra. It was easy to dance in, easy to accessorize, and I got a ton of compliments!

I wore this for a prom-themed work event; this dress was absolutely perfect. I wore my backup, the 2R and i just fit exactly (one extra Italian meal and it may have been another story). - The arms are a little snug, but unless you want to dance to YMCA you should be fine, it wasn't uncomfortable - No problem with the bust, didn't wear a bra - The train is a little long so watch your heels - The color is slightly darker than the model pictures - The zipper does get stuck, but if you use a pencil eraser (trick from the RTR store), erase both sides of the zipper that should do the trick I'm looking forward for another opportunity to rent this one!

This was my back up I didn't end up wearing it but that was only because more people were going less formal. My husband said this was his fav - but don't judge it by the hanger - only reason I rented was because of the reviews. They are all true. The busy is tight but other than that this dress is a BEAUTY!! SO classy. I am 5'6" and would have worn 4" heels and it would have been perfect!!

In general the fit was great. Very light and flawless dress. The length was just right (my high 5"8). I was a bit restricted lifting my arms because it was a bit tight around my shoulders, but it did not stop me from having a great time dancing.

What a fun dress! I received so many compliments and I loved how unique it was. It was so much fun for dancing, and was perfect for the military ball I attended. I wore the 6L and the fit was just right, though it was hard to lift my arms too high, and sometimes it was easy to get caught up while walking. My backup 8L dress was way too long, and I was wearing 2 inch heels. I felt like a princess! I loved it.

What a beautiful dress for a formal affair! I'm 5'5" and it was perfect length with 3" heels. I got compliments all evening. However, larger busts beware - there's a finite amount of room up there. I was forced into a bit of a slouch all night. Not overly uncomfortable or debilitating by any means, but constricting.

I rented this gown for our family pictures. I wanted something that would photograph really well and this dress absolutely does! As for fit, I would say it runs small, especially if you have height. I'm 5'9" and wore shoes with small heels. I HATE my shoes showing under a long gown, and the outer layers of this gown just barely touched the ground. It worked for pictures but probably would have bothered me if I had been wearing this to an event. It has no give through the bodice, so keep that in mind if you have a larger bust and go a size up. The plus side to that is the fact that the top feels structured and a bra wasn't necessary for me, although I wore a sticky cup bra from target to provide a little shape through the bust. I loved the elegant, regal feel to this dress. It has a beautiful shape and gorgeous movement through the skirt. The colors remind me of a watercolor painting and it makes a statement without overpowering your look. Overall, I loved it!

My weight fluctuates a lot so I share stats for individual rentals- about 132 in this picture at 5'7. D cup, wide hips (probably about 40") and tush to go with it. I wore a padded strapless bra. So pretty and unique! Such a sweet dress, I love the lighter color too. I'm pretty sure this was the 4L even though it says 4R in the review, but I could be wrong. I was at a tropical wedding and it was pretty hot so as you can see I tucked in the top and it worked pretty well! Dress is light as a feather and catches the wind in such a lovely way. When the top was on it fit well but I could not lift my arms up over my head.

The best part was customer service. My first choice just didn't look good on me and my second choice was tight. I called RTR in a panic and they were so helpful. They overnighter this dress and made everything easy :)

This dress was perfect for a black tie wedding in New York. The fit was on the conservative side (not too revealing) while still flattering. I loved the way the dress moved and the slight volume from the layered bottom. It was a little long for me, even when wearing 4 inch heels. Overall loved the dress and would highly recommend it.

I wore this Gorgeous number to our friends wedding and didn't stop getting compliments on it all night! This dress is even More Gorgeous in person, and I felt so beautiful in it that I never wanted to take it off! It was a bit snug in the rib cage area (no give in the material), but it's supposed to and was very supportive! It's so light and flowy you feel as if you're not wearing anything! LOVED it! RENT THIS! You won't be disappointed!!!

I rented this dress for my maternity photo shoot. It's such a gorgeous dress. Not bump friendly so I had to make some adjustments to close the back but it looked so amazing and the fabric feels great! I look forward to renting it again post baby

Awesome material! I wore it with wedges cause is really long and it ended up working just fine :) very flattering, this is not a sexy dress though, this is a classy princess like dress, and I Loved it.

This was a hit at the black tie partly outdoor wedding I just attended in Sorrento, Italy. Got tons of compliments. Because of the fabric it traveled well although it came to me a bit crinkled and those wrinkles were impossible to get out. Didn't matter, though. It fit perfectly with my heels. I have a very small rib cage (I usually wear a size 0 in formal dresses) and it was very fitted in that area. I'm also pretty busty and the chest fit well... You would have to wear a very padded bra if you are on the smaller side. I rented it with the earrings and bracelet that are in the picture and the whole thing was to die for.

This dress was perfect for a fundraiser gala my husband and I attended. You can easily move around in this dress. The form-fitting bodice forces you to not to slouch. I am 5'9" and wore 2 and 1/2 inch heels. I wore a 4R. I would not recommend a long dress size unless you are over 5'10" and wear high heels. I received many compliments.

It was quite long, which was fine for photos- for an event however, as a petite girl, you might have trouble (I'm 5'2"). That being said, it's a stunningly beautiful gown that was everything I'd hoped! I'd definitely recommend it.
