Dream dress! The sheer periwinkle shade is flattering on every skin tone. This style is so whimsical and romantic but feels sophisticated with the fitted top. I think this dress would really stand out at an outdoor wedding or really at any event as it's so unique! While the dress did feel more fitted from the waist-up, the bottom blossoms into a beautiful, full skirt with plenty of room in the hips - making it ideal for dancing. Definitely a very special dress that is sure to turn heads!

My husband was really turned off when I said I would rent this dress because of the pattern - BUT I KNEW BETTER! The pattern is GORGEOUS in person! And it photographs beautifully in natural light. It is every bit as fluttery as you could hope for and billows in the wind. Definitely dreamy! The fit is right on. Although there is sometimes some scrunching in the waist when you move around a lot, so make sure to flatten that down before taking an important picture. This is a really unusual dress but not beyond what you can pull off. I think this looks especially good on people with blond features. I recommend wearing a strapless bra.

We wore these as bridesmaids for my sisters wedding. They were amazing. We felt so pretty and so high end vs the traditional crappy bridesmaid options. The dresses are long... I am 5'6" and needed a 3.5 inch heel and it then grazed the floor-- steer away from stilettos with these as fabic is really delicate. I am a 6 and went with the 6. Other gals in bridal party had to size up a tad... its a little tight directly at waist as there is a small band... no stretch or give. Its flattering and romantic

It was a beautiful dress. Fit like a glove and the perfect length. I was one of the few who wore a floral print dress for a black tie Napa wedding. The dress flowed so well as I walked. I loved it!

I received more compliments on this dress than any other dress I've ever worn - it's truly spectacular. I wore it to a fundraiser gala and definitely stood out (in a good way) in a sea of black dresses. It arrived with a badly torn hem, but I loved the dress so much I decided to use fashion tape as a temporary fix and hope for the best (and I alerted RtR immediately, who told me they'll credit my account!). I'm happy to report, the fix worked fine. I'm nearly 5'10 and wore 3-1/2 " heels, so the 6L is definitely for taller girls. It was a little big on top for me so I had to use tape on the lining to make sure it wouldn't fall and show my bra. The rest fit pretty true to size, maybe a tad snug around the waist. Overall, loved the dress and had another great experience with RtR!

This was my backup dress but the color and fit worked out perfectly! It's such a unique dress and I got so many compliments! The top has stiff fabric so if you're in between sizes or have a larger chest I would recommend sizing up. The dress does run long. I'm 5'5" and wore 4 inch heels and it still reached the ground. The color looks just like the photo.

The dress is comfortable and easy to move around in. There were no built-in cups so I wore a stick-on bra which worked perfectly. The 6 was really true to size (the top was a bit loose on me, but what can I say, I'm not a chesty girl). My only problem with the fit was the length. The site suggested ordering a long if you are 5'7'' or taller. I am 5'10'' and wore three inch heels and the dress was so long that I was tripping in it and had to use fashion tape to shorten it. Do NOT order a long unless you are 6 feet tall or plan on wearing 6-inch heels. As for the color, it is a lovely light blue but it appears darker in photos. Overall beautiful dress; be prepared to get lots of compliments.

She stands 5' 1.5" and this dress was very long on her. Even with 4 inch heels, it was touching the ground and she had to be careful about that. The torso area was also clearly designed for someone taller, and required a little tucking in and "pinning" with fashion tape on the back. But as you can see, the fit was still flattering and she looked lovely. Her school has fairly modest regulations for prom dresses and this was stylish and beautiful without revealing too much.

Really easy to wear and was perfect for a spring gala. That said, I almost had to return this because it ran soo long on me. Ended up wearing 4 1/2" heels and the fabric still touched the floor. Don't rent it with the expectation that you will be able to apply tape or temporary hem; the fabric is way too sheer and uneven for it. (I took it to two tailors.)

I selected this dress as a last-minute backup when my original order didn't work out, and I couldn't be happier with the selection I made. Not only did the RTR team get this to me overnight for delivery on a Saturday by noon (for a wedding which was at 4:00), but it fit me perfectly and I got compliments on it all night. It is lightweight and effortlessly striking. The pattern is complex, yet not overwhelming to the eye. The structure of the bodice and the material overlay is flattering and it dances in the breeze when you walk. This dress made me feel like a queen and I was sad to have to return it, but i had the time of my life in it and I highly recommend it to anyone attending a formal event in the spring and/or summer months.

Beautiful, light weight, and elegant. This dress has the perfect balance of conservative and flirty. I love how this dress was layered so you can twirl around and feel like princess. And the cut was very flattering!!! Totally recommend :)

Suggest a tall if you are over 5'8". I can be a 2 or 4 and either would have fit and I would say it runs slightly large. 2L was very fitted, but I needed the length. Very comfortable. I wore 2.5" heels.

It was a little tight around the ribs, fit in between a 2-4. It was lightweight, breathable fabric.

This dress was rented for my daughter. She wore it for a photo shoot and it was absolutely beautiful. Hard not to be flattering when you are a size 0 but it also didn't overwhelm a small frame. She is 5'0 and the length was manageable with heels.

As a pear shaped woman this dress was very flattering. It cinched well around the waist and hung very nicely. The only issue I had was the walking up and down stairs as the back of the dress is a little longer than the front.

Looks like everyone liked this dress, because I couldn't get one in my size, but it still worked out. See the photo for yourself.

Overall, I loved the dress! It was light, comfortable, and beautiful! I danced A LOT at my prom, and it was so easy to move in! I did have some malfunctions with it, though. The lining underneath the top fabric started to shift and fell down my chest. I didn't notice for a while, but neither did anyone else because of the pattern on the top fabric. However, it was a little unsettling so I would recommend some double sided tape! The length was also maybe too long. It was okay with heels (3 inches), although a little longer on one side. All things considered, I would highly recommend this gown!

I've never actually stopped traffic in a full length no cleavage showing dress but this one did. I was surprised how many men loved this dress. It was light and felt like it floated and was wonderful to dance all night in. Is tight around the ribs for girls with that issue. Will wear this again and again

Lovely, flowy dress. Very stand out and perfect for spring. Wore it for a ball and although it was one of the few dresses that weren't red or black I didn't feel uncomfortable. Tons of compliments. I got the dress in a 4L even though I'm only 5'4 because I wasn't too keen on having my shoes showing under the dress. The train can be a bit tricky though.

I got this as a backup bridesmaid dress (I ended up wearing the infinitely more comfortable Rebecca Taylor Periwinkle Pleats Gown). As soon as I put the dress on, I immediately noticed how itchy the fabric was (and the dress also fits pretty tight at the waist, making the itchiness worse). Fabric reminded me of a very lightweight version of a stain-resistant tablecloth, just surprisingly unpleasant feeling (I'm very tactile and I care a lot about how my clothes feel). I tried to see if I could at least wear it for a night in watching Netflix (my life is rather glamorous, you see), but I couldn't stand it longer than 15 minutes and changed into sweatpants (despite the fact that I'm the kind of person to randomly wear fancy dresses around the house for no reason all the time). I really liked the style of the layers and of the sheer high neckline which turns a daring strapless dress into a much more versatile dress. HOWEVER another thing I noticed is that the bra cups were shockingly low (and I have a long torso) and unstructured and sometimes were not exactly covering me up. You have some insurance with the sheer covering, but it was still rather disconcerting and I would not wear this anywhere where people could see me or take photos of me.

The bottom can get stuck on a small heel, be careful when dancing in a crowded space!

I found the 4 regular much shorter than the 6 regular. If you are taller than 5'8" the 4 regular will be too short.

It ended up pouring during the night of the Gala -- but this dress looked amazing despite getting a little wet. I got a TON of compliments on it. I would recommend it if you like to stand out a bit in the sea of LBD's!

The dress was perfect and heavenly beautiful. It definitely was longer than I expected since I am 5' 7" and I got the regular length. I was wearing 3 and half inch wedges with it and I still tripped over it a couple of times. The dress was absolutely stunning especially when it blows in the wind. I felt like a princess the whole night although I wasn't even the bride.

Covering, but hint of sexiness in the top. Fitted in the middle. The long was definitely the right length for me with a short heel. HOWEVER, another woman at the wedding (in Manhattan) was wearing the same dress - which she also got from Rent the Runway. This was very disappointing, and, as we were both of bridesmaid age, prompted several people to ask if we were part of the wedding party. While I love this dress, I wish I had known this and rented something else.

I didn't wear it as I need a petite. I had two inches of height over my shoulders in the dress. No solution for that. Just wrong size. I am usually a 6 or an 8. This was a 10 and fit my 30 inch waist tightly. Bottom of dress great on. The top for me was too long and I will try the petite. Trying to find the right fit for a wedding.

Rented this for engagement photos, but it was way too short even without heels on. Definitely needed the long size, but it was unavailable. The fabric was nice though and it was such a pretty color!

Very light and lovely, but the 2 was a little too large for my size 0 frame. Length however, was perfect. Size 0 was not available to ship.

The fit was a bit boxy -- so it didn't work well with my curves. I also didn't end up liking the look of the fabric.

The fit of the dress itself was absolutely true to size. Unfortunately it was too short! I do not consider myself an overly tall woman (5'7") but my bare feet were visible to the ankle. I think I would rent this again in a long version--the dress is stunning!

I unfortunately couldn't wear this one. It was tight to begin with and I was heading to a big dinner -- not the best combo. Still, the fabric is beautiful. Wear with a strapless bra.
