Tried but didn’t wear. Was a lovely fit and felt great in it. Perfect length etc but was for a black tie event and didn’t quite fit the bill.

I am typically a 6/8 but got the 8L and it was a tight fit at my natural waist/lower rib cage. I ordered the 10 to try it, and it was still tight in that area, but gave more room in the shoulders and back which wasn’t necessary so I wore the 8 for my event. Love the design, it is slim, classy, and elegant. It was a black and white gala, and the white lace is definitely more cream than bright white, but it still worked. For length, it was almost to the floor with no shoes on.

I'm 5'10", 150 lbs. The 6L was a little too tight and a little too short. The 8L fit perfect and was just the right length to wear with 2-3 inch heels. I was afraid the lace work might make the dress heavy, but it wasn't. The higher waist meant that I had plenty of room to move, walk, sit, and dance without feeling like I was going to tear a seam.

I loved this dress so much! I received it as a replacement for my original order which could not be delivered and I am so happy with how it worked out. The lace detailing is lovely. The dress was comfortable and it fit perfectly. I'm 5'4" and the length was just perfect with 3 inch heels.

I rented this as part of my unlimited subscription. My husband was a groomsman in a Black Tie wedding, so I needed something to complement his tux nicely. This was perfect. The first dress I had picked ran small and wasn't available in the next size up. So I ordered this instead. I am glad I ended up with this dress. I felt very elegant, classy, and beautiful! The length fit perfect with small (3 inch) heels. I did have to wear spanx underneath because Im still carrying around baby weight from a year ago, but otherwise I felt fantastic. I was comfortable too!!

Gorgeous lace and very feminine while being very simple and classy. Easy to dress up and down. Regular had good length for me (5'8" tall) to wear with flats. Perfect fit.

I usually wear a 2 or 4 and the 4 fit well here. The ribbon detail at the waist has zero give and falls over lower ribcage, so size up for breathing purposes :) I am 5’9” and needed the long length to wear heels. Wore this to a military ball and it was great. Looks classy and not at all trashy. Comfortable, covers everything, can wear your normal underwear. Easy breezy. Only complaint (and it was pretty minor) was that my heels tended to catch on the lace in the back. Once I figured out how to walk and keep that from happening, it wasn’t a big deal.

This was a no fuss dress, just zip it up and go. It was comfy, easy to move in, fit just right.

I’ve worn this dress for a wedding, graduation, and homecoming dance. It’s elegant and modest, making it perfect for any formal affair such as a wedding or a professional event at work. I’m 5’6 and 125lbs, I found the size 2L to fit best (although 2R and 4R have both been suitable backups that fit well). This dress will make you feel like a million bucks!

I absolutely loved this dress, and my husband did also. I wore it to a military formal dinner at the Army/Navy club in D.C. It was true to size I thought (though fitted through the torso area- I probably could have worn the size 2 a bit more comfortably), and with heels the length was perfect. Very elegant, yet easy to wear as material was not bulky and no need for special undergarments with the cap sleeves, etc. I got more than a few compliments and will definitely rent this one again! Highly recommend!

Perfect for a Black tie wedding near the beach. Comfortable, warm, worked with my shoes. Got lots of compliments throughout the night. Probably could've gone with 10R lengthwise, but the 10L looked really good as well. Very happy with this dress.

Tall was still too short and it didn't quite hit my waist where it should have but I always have that issue with dresses as my torso is extremely long. I wore a 3" heel and I was fine with the length as the back of the dress has extra length which is very pretty as it trails a bit behind you. Just be careful as you can easily get your heel caught in the back as you walk. I wore this for Metropolitan Fashion Week's black tie fashion show in Seattle. It was completely unique!

PROS: comfortable, flattering on my tall, lean (small-chested) frame CONS: I didn't get very many compliments on the dress even though I felt like a million bucks! I could even tell my boyfriend didn't love it. Maybe because it covered so much up? :) THE FIT: the 2R was the perfect length for me without heels AT 5'8". If I had worn heels, I probably would have needed the long. Additionally, I fit pretty well into the 0 regular, I just opted for the 2 because it felt a little more roomy (especially after I ate) but still looked good.

I originally ordered the Catherine Deane Patricia gown, but due to damage from a previous renter I could not have that dress. My stylist, Megan E, was the most helpful in every way possible through this whole experience. She assured me that RTR would do everything they could to help make my first time renting a success. RTR told me that I could rent any dress no matter what the cost as a replacement. This was the back up to the dress they had suggested me to wear just in case there was any issues. So RTR sent me two different style dresses in two different sizes; 4 total dresses at no extra cost, now that is some exceptional customer service if you ask me. I loved both of the dresses so much I ended up wearing this one for the rehearsal dinner and the other for the wedding. The dress was beautiful the lace was very delicate and intricate. Everyone at the dinner loved the dress and was asking me where I bought it. I am 5'1 and had to wear my highest heels (5" platforms) so that it would not drag on the ground. I rented a 4R and 6R and had to go with the 6R again because of the bust area. It was so comfortable and I was able to wear a regular bra with it. It was elegant and classy I felt so beautiful wearing it. So again this is a wonderful dress and Megan E is simply the best. Rent this dress if you have the chance and I can't wait to use RTR again for future weddings and events.

I am 5'4" and weigh 125. I wore the 6R with kitten heels. I will be 60 my next birthday- and was looking for a timeless, classic look. I wanted it be be age appropriate, but contemporary- not the gown typically expected for the mother of the groom. I felt incredible! While the dress was fitted, it was very flattering. The quality and detail were exceptional. By the end of the night, several friends of the bride and groom had stopped to say how stunning the gown was. This was the first time I have used Rent The Runway. Would definitely recommend the site!

Dress fit true to size and is very comfortable. I am 5' 8", size 4, athletic build. I wore the regular because I needed to wear flats. I would rent this again.

This dress was gorgeous. I wore it for a formal work affair, and it was perfect. It was incredibly tasteful and elegant, but still fun to wear! I got the 2L which was perfect, I am tall, but even so, it was great with 3 inch heels. The dress was super comfortable, it was light, I could move in it. And it was striking - so different from most dresses at the affair. I had a few people come up to me and tell me I was the best dressed person at the 800 person affair. Great dress!

This dress is well-designed and in-style. I love it except for the easy-to-wrinkle upper body. Understand the dress has two layers, outside lace and inside one-piece dress. However, just because it's one piece inside, the upper side is very easy to get wrinkles, which you have to adjust very frequently.

This dress was really beautiful, and felt very elegant for a party. But because of the light fabric, shorter hem and cut of the top, it didn’t feel as formal to me. I do think it looked better than my photo shows- the angle isn’t great. This was a backup to a backup dress for a black tie wedding, so I didn’t end up wearing it. But for the right occasion I would absolutely rent and wear it. One star deducted only because the model photo shows a longer length and that’s not what I got. I’d need a long length to hit the floor and up the formality level.

I usually wear a size 4 but went with the 6 for this dress. The 4 would’ve looked good and very fitted but I wanted to be comfortable. I wore 2.5 inch shoes and it was about an inch or 2 off the ground.

The dress fit well and did not accentuate my belly and love handles or even curvy hips and thighs, which is saying something for a straight dress. It worked well, was lovely and modest and I will probably wear it again. It just is a little blah, or as my daughter says "meh."

Loved this dress and wish I could have worn it for the wedding, but it was too tight in the chest area. Would have sized up to a 10, but it wasn't in stock at the time. Loved everything else about it otherwise. Fit around the waist was comfortable and very flattering!

I wore this dress for a gala fundraiser, and it did not disappoint. The bodice was a tad big, but the 10R zipper did not lie flat, so I went with the larger size. I am 5'0", and I wore 4 1/2" platform heels. Without them, it would have dragged the floor. While the heels were uncomfortable, the dress was not. It was great all night - no issues, even after dinner and drinks. This dress was easy to move in and hid my figure challenges. Would definitely rent again.

Perfect fit! I got so many compliments. I think it looks best if you have a fuller bust to give the top some shape. And at 5'4", my shoes caught on the bottom of the dress a few times.

The 10 was a bit snug on my rib cage so I wore the 12 which ended up being a bit loose on the top. The white top is also a bit plain so I paired it with a statement necklace. Other than those two things, this dress was perfect! It did not require spanx and hid areas I am not cray about. The light fabric was so comfortable in the Florida heat. I received many compliment and felt so good wearing this dress! I would definitely recommend it to a friend or rent it again.
