I got this dress instead of the one I rented originally because the other one wasn't available on the day it supposed to, so a stylist picked this for me. I am so happy that happened because this is a splendid dress! However, it was way too long that I even tripped and fell when I stepped my first step out of the house with my heels on. For a girl with height like me I had to wear 6 inches high heels and it's still too long. Good thing I didn't have to walk much. Overall, this is a wonderful dress and I'm glad I made good memories with it.

One of the best black-tie gowns I have ever worn! The black and white colour palette really slims you down at the waist. The fabric is very thick and luxurious! There is a lining underneath - if you are very curvy or bottom-heavy, I recommend sizing up just because of the lining. There is a little tulle at the very bottom of the lining too, which gives the gown a nice shape! If you are shorter than 5'5, prepare yourself some 4-inch heels! An all-around winner for me :)

Ordered this dress for my 17 year old daughter to wear for the local Navy Ball. She is typically a size 6, but has a large bust, 34 DDD+. She ended up needing to wear the 8R in this dress due to bust size. Fit was fabulous, highlighted her hourglass figure while diminishing her large bust. Dress was fabulous fit!

I looked at so may dresses for my gala and this one sold me. I was skeptical because there were no reviews---alas...a new dress! This designer cuts small...I would define my frame as curvy. (Full up top, hips and bottom), I normally wear a 12. I was so glad I ordered the back-up 14R. Thank you RTR. In 5 inch heels....I only had to carry a small amount of the dress up and down stairs. I'm 5'6". I think this dress would probably fit true-to-size for a different body type. So go with your regular size and one size up.

I originally ordered the Ivy gown, and the sidecar gown which were both beautiful. I am typically an 6 but for whatever reason they were both way to tight. I picked this dress being that by the time I needed a new dress I had limited option, but I guess I can say the dress picked me. I loved it, and so did everyone else at my formal office holiday part. Very beautiful and elegant.

This dress was not my original dress that I rented for my black-tie gala. I was at the store trying on my original dress that I had rented and when that didn't work out, one of the associates at the store pulled this dress out for me. It wasn't exactly my size...just a tad big in the bust, but it still worked. I received a lot of compliments on it. It's made out a beautiful, heavy, double-faced satin and also made right here in the USA.

Fit very well. Received tons of compliments.

I can't say enough about this dress. I'm a frequent RTR user and this might be my favorite rental, yet! It was actually an overnight backup dress since my first choice didn't work out. And I ended up loving it! The fabric felt luxurious and the black and white is so timeless. The fit would be flattering on any body type. I am 5'5" and I hate high heels so I was relieved when I wasn't tripping over the length.

Mostly, the fit was good. Perfect length with 3 inch heels. But the top was too big-- had to hold in my breath to keep it up properly...

I only had to go up a size. It was very flattering. I wore this to a black & white ball.

It does run a little small, so definitely get a second dress with the next size. It's a little long, so heels are a necessity! But overall it was gorgeous and I received so many compliments on it! It was my second choice but I am so glad I picked this dress!

I am reliably a size 8, rarely a size 10, and this dress was just too small through the ribcage. I ended up requesting a 12, which fit fine. It arrived literally 10 minutes before I was scheduled to leave for my event!! I found the ribbing in the bodice to be uncomfortable by the end of the night, but generally I enjoyed wearing the dress. I am most stunned that someone out there might pay $800+ for this because it's nice, but it's not awesome. It's fancy, but not spectacular. A perfect rental for sure.

One feature of the dress that wasn't obvious in the photo . . . there's a little train . . . looks great when you're walking forward . . . not great for dancing.

The dress runs small or size up. I actually could not wear the dress to ball because it did not fit.

gorgeous cut- if you have a thin waist this is not the dress for you.

This dress is subtle and beautiful. If there is an event that doesn't require a floor length gown but you want to wear one - this one is perfect. The white peaking out gives a great flair!

I'm a definite size 6, but had to wear this dress in an 8 so it does run a little small. The fit was nice and the extra strap in the back helped to keep everything up front. My boobs were a little smashed but it did not feel or look uncomfortable. Very comfortable to wear and it stood out among the sea of formal gowns at the event.

This dress was an emergency back up after my chosen rental failed. I wouldn't rent it by the picture-I know, it doesn't look like much. But the fit is fabulous, flattering, and I was able to dance all night long comfortably. Got compliments on the color blocking and flounce of the center fabric. An unlikely winner.

This was my backup dress for a formal ball. I did not wear it because I wore my first choice. It would have been fine. I liked the design and style. Fit was great. It did not seem as well/made or look as elegant as the other.

This was the dress RTR sent when my original dress was not available. It's really beautiful to look at, but after trying it on, it was not the dress I ultimately wore for several reasons. Just putting on the dress was really complicated, there was an extra hook-and-eye belt around the waist inside the dress, it was not really clear what it was for because it did not seem like it was attached to any kind of built-in undergarment. Once it was on, I couldn't fill the chest part out at all, this is rarely a problem with other dresses. Lastly, there was boning in the bodice that was starting to poke through the fabric, scratching my chest. It wouldn't have been a comfortable dress to wear even if it fit in other ways.
