The dress was fantastic! Just stretchy enough while still holding a great shape. I am 5'2 and it was just right with fairly tall heels. Got tons of compliments from men and women throughout the night.

This dress was perfect for a black tie preferred wedding. Fit great, fabric wasn't too thick and extremely comfortable.

The dress runs small. I usually wear a 0 and got a 2.

This was my second style dress, but my hubs seemed to love this dress when I was trying to decide that I went with it, and I'm glad I did. It turned out better than I could have hoped. I wore a size up because it was the only one I had ordered but it worked out fine. The material is comfortable and has a little stretch. You're able to wear a regular demi bra, so that was really nice. I was comfortable and happy in the dress all night! Got a ton of compliments all night too.

This dress fits like a glove! I received compliments the entire night! One thing I would suggest is maybe going a size up. In the picture with the model wearing the dress, it looks like a loose fitting dress but it isn't. It hugged all my curves and I loved it! Would definitely recommend!

I was very glad I ordered the long - as even with the long my toes were showing. This dress is made of a very thick fabric, so I wouldn't recommend this as a summer dress. Overall, it was a very beautiful, well made dress!

This dress was not my original rental. I rented two other dresses. One the sizes of my first choice was returned damage. So, a stylist called me and told me to pick any dress off of the website and they would send it to me regardless of price. I was busy at work and not able to look for another dress. I told the stylist to look at my past rentals and pick me a dress to replace the damaged one. I may start letting them pick all of my dresses. This dress was absolutely perfect!

I got this dress as a backup because the dress I ordered wasn't available in my size at the last minute. My measurement are 34-26-36 and the 2R fit like a glove. I loved that I could wear a regular bra with it and it was very comfortable. The material isnt stretchy but has a slight give to it that helps it hug all the right places. The material is thick and sturdy. I danced all night in it and it never slipped or bunched. This was a great choice for a black tie affair. It was a black dress but the patterning of the lace added an unusual detail.

I'm usually between a size 2 and a 4 and after trying on sizes in store the 4R ended up being a perfect fit. The underlining of the dress was a bit snug around my legs and butt, where I tend to be bigger, but other than that it was a very comfortable fit. I cannot wait to use Rent the Runway again.

Material is thick! Will keep you warm all night. I wouldn't wear it once late spring/early summer hits. It'll probably ride up if you're not straight up and down. I have hips and a stomach pooch so it tended to bunch in the middle unfortunately. Still fun though.

Since there are no reviews on this and I ordered this blindly, I wanted to leave one. Firstly, I LOVE this dress. The construction is great and cuts a long, lean shape, particularly if you are on the tall side. The back is cut into a semi-fishtail which makes your backside look fabulous. However, without any reviews - I was just judging on the model pictures. The dress looked flowy, so I assumed the material would give a bit. I ended up ordering my regular size - a 6L and a 4L as my extra size because I thought it would run a bit big. However, this ended up being a huge mistake as the 6L was a smidge too tight, which creates quasi-ruching where there shouldn't be in the lace (see attached pics), so a word to the wise - Order your regular size + plus a size up.

Unfortunately, they sent me the 12R. I must have tried on the 12L in store - so the length was a tad bit disappointing. But, because I was working the event, not having a train to worry about tripping over turned out to be the best route - it just made the dress look totally different on me. If you're 5'6 and taller and preparing to wear heels (...even just a 2 inch heel), go with the "L" sizes. Otherwise, the dress was truly comfortable and flattered my hourglass shape!

I LOVE this dress! I am 5'6, 135 lbs and wore the 8R. The 6R fit as well, but was a little tighter. I received a lot of compliments. I highly recommend.

While the six had a little more room, the 4 was fitted in the right places -bust, hips. The length was absolutely perfect, it was slightly longer in the back but definitely did not drag on the ground. Because of the high neck line, I was able to wear a regular bra with it, which was definitely a perk! Overall, a beautiful dress with amazing detail! I truly felt beautiful and elegant in this dress. Hope I have another event that I could rent this dress again!

The dress fit true to size. Hit all my curves just the way I like them. I am 5'7" and wore 2-3 inch heels and when pulled all the way down, it was the perfect length. It did ride up a little at times but it was the absolute best dress for this event and kept me warm/cool at this ocean front May wedding! Love love love!

This dress was perfect for the wedding I attended. I wanted something that was pretty yet comfortable and this dress was it! I ordered the 4R and 2R as my backup. I ended up wearing the 2R because it fit more snug, though I could have easily worn the 4R too. I had to wear 2 inch heels because anything taller would make the dress too short. The 2R and 4R were almost identical length-wise. The dress was extremely comfortable and I loved that I could wear a regular bra with it. Overall, I would definitely recommended this dress!

The dress is way better in person and pictures don't really do it justice. It's perfect for a formal events. Very comfortable, material is giving in all the right places, and the lace detail is just enough to catch everyone's eye! I received tons of compliments! Only kicker is to be careful about the shoes you wear/tripping. I'm a bit clumsy and almost ate it a few times! :) Otherwise I'd definitely rent it again!

The dress runs a little on the small side but it is supposed to be form fitting. It will Hug all your curves. This dress is gorgeous on and very comfortable. It does run a little short. I am 5'5 and wish I had gotten the 2L instead of 2R. I just ended up buying some very low heels and it was fine though.

This dress fit true to size. It was tight, but that is the way it was supposed to fit. Very elegant, very slimming. Everything about it was perfect. Got tons of compliments. With my perfect up-do of hair, I felt unbelievably beautiful. Highly recommend! Thank you RTR!

This dress was actually my back up as I didn't know how my booty would work in something this fitting. But the second I put it on I fell in love. The material was a bit giving and hugged just right. I wore heels that were about 4" to accommodate the length on my short frame. The lace details gave this basic black evening gown rang extra special edge which I love. Highly recommend!

I'm 5 feet tall and I was shocked that the 8R fit me, as I usually need a petite size. If your taller than 5'3" then you would definitely need a long if you wear heels. I was comfortable all night dancing in this dress. I would rent this designer again.

I had low expectations for this online and on the hanger. It was my back-up dress. But holy cow, I've never worn a dress that solicited so much attention! I'm a totally average-looking cute girl. For real. But in this dress...street vendors were shouting compliments, drivers were honking and cat-calling, and my friends were eager to make me blush pointing out all the random dudes openly checking me out. It was a little more than I bargained for at a black-tie work affair, but I definitely wasn't lacking in confidence thanks to this dress! I wore a normal bra with the dress with no problem (mother of two here!), and 3 1/2 inch heels were just right (I'm 5'2"). The dress was very comfortable -- sort of like a full-body sports bra. I'm sure you could wear Spanx if you need to, but the dress is heavy and structured enough that I thought it was fine without.

I loved this dress! I have no torso and bigger boobs so it's hard for me to find a dress that makes me look somewhat proportional but this dress took care of that problem. It hugged in all of the right places! My only problem with it was the length. I wore higher heels than usual and felt like the dress could have been a bit longer. I wish I had ordered the long. But besides that I got compliments on it all night and haven't looked that skinny since the 90s (kidding about that last part - maybe the early 2000s)!!

In the app, it is shown with a turquoise/teal colored necklace...I overlooked this dress in the app thinking it was part of the dress and it turned me off. I'm so thankful it was pulled for me in store. I tried it on and instantly knew this dress was the one!

When I first put on this dress I was worried I wouldn't be comfortable. Turned out to be more "giving" than I expected. It does fit slightly snug, but hugs all your curves so it's worth it. Not sure if it's just my fit or the dress I had, but it did bunch a bit where the fabric meets the lace just below my chest (you can see it in this pic). Other than that this dress was perfection and I received compliments all night long!

Great dress for a formal affair. The 0 should've been fine but it was too snug for my arms (That's just me), so the 2 was perfect. I wore 2.5 inch heels with it and that worked great.

wore this to the marine corps ball, and it was perfect. elegant but sexy, hugged my curves perfectly. I was nervous about the size because I can waver from 4-6-8 in terms of size. I'm 5'2" 140lb and the 6 couldn't have fit better! it was a little long, I am also rather short, but with 4 inch heels it was fine. a huge plus was that I could wear a regular bar. definitely a winner!

This is by far the most comfortable formal dress I've worn. It is very figure hugging, but the fabric has some give, so it is comfortable. Use spanx or other shapeware to avoid underwear lines. I was able to wear a black bra. For reference, in the two try-on photos, I'm barefoot (5'10"), in the photo with my husband, I'm wearing 3" heels. There is a slight train on the dress, so that helped with the length, but would have preferred 2" or kitten heels. The dress would occasionally ride up a little in the hips area; sizing up might have helped, but it wasn't a big deal. Very warm dress, perfect for a cold air-conditioned ballroom, or winter.

It fit perfectly and is true to size. I'm 5'5" and wore 6" pumps. So the R runs long I think. I loved how I felt in it, I felt classy and sexy all at the same time and I could dance in it without a problem. You def need some curved to fill this one out though so I wouldn't recommend it for someone who isn't a bit curvy. I weigh 125 and have C cup breasts.

This dress isn't necessarily a showstopper or a head-turner, but it is beautiful and classic. As others have said, the fabric is thick, which is good for helping the dress keep its shape and look lovely. However, I would not recommend it for anything other than winter or air-conditioned environments. Perfect for my occasion. I am 5-5ish and wore it with 4 1/2 inch heels and the long was the perfect length.

It was a little long for me but manageable with heels.
