I rented this dress for my engagement photo shoot. I originally ordered a dress from a well known retailer, but received a back order notice at the last minute. Since RTR is located in Henri Bendel, next to where I work, I decided to rent it and I'm glad I did. Although the fit was much smaller than my usual american size 4, it still worked out perfectly. I had to go 2 sizes up since the hip area is very snug, and it does ride up a bit. I definitely recommend it, especially for the price.

Rented this dress for a wedding at which my husband was the best man. I usually wear a size 8, but based on other reviews, I got the 10 as well as the 8, and I was glad I did. The 8 fit, but uncomfortably so - it was tight in the hips and the neck. The 10 was much more comfortable, and I wore it to the wedding and dinner and dancing with no problem. I was initially worried that the lace at the sides/front would be too revealing, but the darker color along with the cut of the dress ensured that I felt not just appropriate, but quite stunning!

The fit was great, the dress was a little longer than expected but very classy for a family wedding.

I have rented this dress for two separate events. The dress is understated yet elegant. It can be dressed up or down. A must try!

I have officially lost all my baby weight (and then some!) and I wanted to show it off! I thought I ordered the 2 and the 4 but I guess I only ordered the 2. Luckily the 2 fit like a glove! I would've like to see the difference in a size up but was glad it fit regardless! The coloring in this pic doesn't do it justice but it's a little brighter than plain navy blue. I'm very small chested so I wore the VS padded backless strapless bra in nude and you wouldn't even know. The length was perfect for a formal event and I wasn't pulling it down all night! I would love to wear it again!

I rented this dress in a 0 and a 2, the 0 was unavailable at the last minute. RTR sent me a replacement 0 in a different dress but luckily, the size 2 in my original choice fit perfectly! RTR had amazing customer service as the size 0 was returned to them damaged, but they sent a second dress in less than 24 hours. This dress, although tight by nature, ran slightly small. The 2 worked well and wasn't too tight. The knee length and high neck made it great for a classy wedding look. I received several nice compliments from friends. I would definitely rent this dress again. RTR FTW!

I wore this dress to a wedding rehearsal dinner. I loved the flirty cutout lace detail. The length keeps it classy while the peek of skin keeps it interesting. Since you can't wear a bra due to the revealing back, I recommend breast shapers/petals underneath.

After reading the reviews about the dress running small I ordered a 4 and 6. 4 is my usual size. The 4 fit like a glove! Very snug and sexy! The area around the neck is a little tight but I love that bc no bra is necessary. If you have a large bust that may be a problem. The dress is classy and sexy! Loved it!

The color of the dress was amazing, esp in photos. The 4 fit me well, but when I sat down there was some bunching of fabric in the mid-section. Might be better for someone with a longer torso but it didn't bother me. The length is below the knee.

I've used RTR for years now and I have to say this dress is one of my favorites! Very flattering, great navy color and I love anything with lace - this dress, with the lace, is sexy and classy.

This dress is gorgeous! It is extremely flattering (both fit and color). The lace allows you to rock the cutout look without being overexposed and the back is fabulous! I cannot find one thing wrong with this dress!

As other reviews stated, the dress runs small through the hips so I wore the size 8. Based on another review, I bought a Nubra to wear with this dress, and it worked great! I loved both the color and fit of this dress! Plus the rental experience was so smooth and easy. It made me a new loyal RTR user!

This dress was beautiful!! The sides and back made it sexy but the neckline and length made it elegant and appropriate to wear for a wedding. I had to wear a size up from my usual because of how form fitting the dress is across the hips so I would size up for your backup size!

Definitely snug but in all the right ways. I usually fluctuate between a 4 and a 6 - the 4 fit but I could open my legs wide enough to walk. The 6 was perfect. I got a ton of compliments. The high neckline with the lace cutouts gave it just enough sexy without being over the top. I usually stay away from tight-fitting dresses because of my wide hips but this accentuated everything perfectly.

It's not as dark navy. The zero was too tight and the two fit perfectly. On me it was more tea length. But I loved the look -- so different and gorg

This dress was completely beautiful! I got a lot of compliments, especially on the lace detail. I was initially concerned about the length (me being 5"2') but it wasn't a problem with heels on. I think the dress is suppose to fall just above the knee but it was below for me, but it didn't matter. The high neck didn't bother me but I could see how it might bother some. I am usually a 2 and it fit like a glove, I have a smaller waist so I'm glad it wasn't too big in that area. I wore a sticky bra because I didn't feel comfortable going bra-less, but that could work. Overall I loved the dress completely!! Definitely recommend it.

Tight but true to size

The dress arrived on time and in perfect condition! It was clear that it had been dry cleaned and steamed before coming to me, which is appreciated. The dress was so gorgeous and fit perfectly but can be a little snug around the neck and arms. The below the knee hemline was perfect for a fall wedding and the open back was the perfect amount of sexy. I did not want to send this dress back and my first RTR experience was great! Will definitely be renting again.

I usually wear wear a 2/4, I fit into the size 2 but my 36D bust I was not comfortable. I went ahead and opted to go with the 4 that wasn't as tight, which made me very comfortable throughout the wedding. I also wore a nude bra to make it less visible due to the lace on the sides.

It fit well, felt well made, and got a ton of compliments. I felt great in this beautiful dress!

Beautiful dress. Very figure flattering. The only con would be the neckline was very high and felt like it was choking me towards the end of the night. Overall though, the dress gets a 10!

Loved this dress.... It fit like a glove. The size 2 was the only one available so I made it work! It was definitely tight and the 4 probably would've fit better but it was a beautiful color and the back was gorgeous.

True to size. Such a glamorous and show stopping dress! Was slightly difficult to zip up but I have broad shoulders. No need for a bra because the dress has padded cups. LOVED the dress!!

LOVED this dress! The material is soft and a gorgeous color. It's not super thin material and does have a liner in the skirt portion of the dress, which I always appreciate. I'm short but had on 4-inch heels and thought the longer length was perfect. I was initially concerned that the see-thru sides and back may be too "sexy" for a wedding, but it was perfect. I did not wear a bra with it and the top was tight enough that it didn't matter and looked/felt just fine. Lots of compliments!

The dress makes you look really slimed, very elegant, I received lots of complements. I usually wear size 4, but this dress is not that stretchy so since I have small breast and bigger hips I wore size 6, fits very nice.

Loved this dress and so did my fiancé! It was a little longer than I'm used to with an above the knee dress but paired with heels the dress looks and feels great. It fits nicely although I felt like there was a small amount of extra fabric around the stomach area. It wasn't oblivious though. Usually wear a size 2 but only the 4 was available (and almost perfect) so I am not sure how 2 would have worked. I could dance, eat some great food, and still feel great. Would rent again.

The dress hit like a glove! I'd suggest getting yourself some great bra cups to wear with it though to keep up the form and appearance. Strapless bra would ruin the gorgeous see-through lace back. I wore very pointy, gold pumps and a gold/snakeskin clutch with it. But nude pumps would've looked nice as well. No cons!

It was formal and the lacey cutouts (and lace back) made it sexy -- wish I took more pictures! I really like squeezing into a 0, but I have boobs, so ... what are you gonna do. Also, just a note, the neckline is really high, which took some getting used to for me. The 0 fit so much nicer in the waist, but I wore the 2 and it was fine and I just used it as an excuse to dance more.

I ordered the 6 and the 8, and ended up wearing the 8. I have a broad back, and the 6 would not zip past my waist. I really loved the lace back - sexy, but still wedding appropriate. Going bra-less wasn't an issue because the top was pretty fitted. I got lots of compliments all nice about the dress... I wish I didn't have to send this one back!

I rented this for a work cocktail party at a museum. I was a little concerned that the lace covered cut-outs would be too bare for an event with coworkers, but it looks very dressy and appropriate. I did go up a size because my normal size was too small in the booty. This made the top a little bit big, but I have a generic nubra and that helped fill it out. That's really your only option with this dress if you want to feel covered, so order one on Amazon for $10. The color is not quite navy, but it is also not bright enough to be called cobalt. I loved it, it was a nice change in a sea of black dresses.

It runs small I'm in between a 2 and a 0 the 2 fit perfect I didn't need a bra.

Pic isn't a total sale on the dress but it's a perfect dress for some pretty cool Godfather/Bonnie & Clyde shots! The dress was a total hit as many of the other reviews will attest to! Such a hit though that the zipper was broken after so many wears when I picked it up at the RTR store. It also has a bit of a strange fit around the hips for some of the taller women reading this. Overall, great dress, perfect for a Fall/Winter wedding.

To echo most, this dress does run small. Couldn't fit the 0 over my hips, but the 2 fit like a glove (with little wiggle room, it has little to no stretch). The neck is high and constricting, so definitely size up if you're bigger on top. I wore a nubra and spanx, but probably could have gotten away with out wearing either, as the construction on top is thick and the bottom is lined. Beautiful, sexy yet classy dress!

Con is it is really long if you don't have long legs. I wish it was a few inches shorter

I loved how unique this dress was. The color wasn't quite navy blue, but wasn't quite royal blue either. Somewhere in between. I have a larger bust (36D) so like the other reviewer mentioned, a backless bra (nubra) was needed. The length was perfect and a great pair of black heels completed the look. I was able to dance easily...however getting in and out of a car was a little bit of a challenge. Cons: The ONLY wrong with this size 10 was the zipper seam allowance was taken just a little bit too narrow at one point making it impossible to zip up without someone else helping me. I also wear a pretty solid 8, but a size 10 was needed to get my hips and chest into this dress. Not a real con, but just something to know when ordering.

Runs small. I'm usually a four and the four fit like a glove. The next size wasn't available. I was still comfortable in it though. No bra necessary. I found the neckline to be a bit tight. Also more of a midnight blue than navy which I loved. It's so pretty I don't want to give it back!

The fit on me was extremely tight making moving freely a bit impossible but I felt unbelievably sexy in it. I've got a larger chest so a Nubra was imperative in order to pull off the lace back. I kept the look a bit more casual with hair down and matte black pumps. I highly recommend this dress for anyone looking to boost their ego!
