This is a great dress and very forgiving at the waist (especially for me as I have post-baby pooch lol). My only complaint is that the lace and tulle can easily catch on things. Make sure that you don't wear a purse or anything that has a chain or something that can catch onto it. Other than that, I really enjoyed wearing this and every time I entered a room, head's turned LOL! I really felt like a princess and wished the night would never end! I'm 5'9" and I wore 2 inch heels and the dress just floated above the floor.

This dress was AMAZING! I loved every moment of wearing it and it honestly broke my heart to return it. It fit wonderfully, flowed beautifully, the silhouette was incredible, and fit perfectly in the bust and well in the waist. I got tons of compliments all night, I would rent this dress again in a heartbeat. My husband loved the dress and it is very appropriate for military events, I felt elegant all night! The tule skirt was easy to manage and did not get warm. I wore heels and did not step on the dress all night, just had to be careful on stairs. The length was perfect for me and I would not order a 10L but stick with the 10R for my height. The backup in a size 12R was just too big overall; this dress runs very true to size.

Comfortable and light. Dress was slightly short so I'm glad I ordered a long. The skirt twirls and blows in the wind beautifully.

This was the absolute PERFECT dress for my engagement shoot in the park! Fit amazing and I truly felt like a princess!!!

When I first tried this dress on, I was concerned about all the tulle, but it just takes a little bit of getting used to. All night, people gave me compliments- "princess dress" was one of the more common ones. As for the fit, I ordered a 6R and an 8R, and while the 6 fit, the 8 looked better. I'm just under 5'6" and I wore flats; I stepped on the dress here and there, but the only real difficulty was going up stairs. This is the best dress I've ever worn and it really made my prom great.

I wore the 10 R which I think is very roomy. I am on the heavy size right now, and the dress was very slimming. I added 2 belts with feathers that finished the look perfectly. The dress was very comfortable to wear and very beautiful. The lining is soft and feels like a comfy nightgown. My backup dress was the other Nha Khanh boddy hugging dress, which I ordered in 12. That dress was just too tight for me.

I didn't actually wear this dress for my event as it was a little more formal than I needed but I never wanted to take it off! It's so light, flowy and comfortable to wear. The slip underneath gives the perfect amount of coverage while note being constricting. It's very delicate and would work on someone with a small frame as the skirt is a little slimmer than your average ball gown. I had on a strapless bra but you could wear a regular bra easily. With 4.5 inch heels the dress just hit the floor. I would definitely rent this dress again!

I am not tall, but took others advice and ordered the long. At 5.5, I wore 2 inch heels and the dress just touched the floor. The bodice fit snugly around my waist but had enough stretch in the top to keep from compressing my busty chest. Bonus! I was able to wear a regular bra. I wore the 4 for a more fitted look, but the 6 would have been good too.

This is a great dress because it's soft, stretchy and forgiving. You won't be sucking it in all night, or tugging at a strapless bra. Comfortable and glamorous!

I wore this for a work gala and it was perfect for the black tie event. The 10L fit me well and I found it was true to size. I wore a one piece undergarment that snapped at the crotch w/ a sweetheart neckline strapless bra as any bra straps would have shown thru the lace on the dress. I received so many compliments all evening. The bottom of the dress is layers of tulle. You need to hang it up overnight to let the fabric unwrinkled and fall right. I'm not used to wearing such a fluffy bottom since I have hips, but I think it worked. I'm 5'9" and the 10L was just the right length for me with 3" heels. I accessorized with my own gold jewelry.

everything get perfectly, but ended up being a little too long (I am about 5'7" and had heels on). other than that the night was really fun and the dress is very flattering, even for flat chested girls!

It was absolutely wonderful! I wore it to a Holiday Ball and I loved how different it was then all of the other girl's dresses. When I first got it, I found that the skirt was a couple inches too long so I kept tripping on it as I walked even with 3 inch heels. If you have the same problem, then never fear! I was able to fix it by using safety pins to pin up some of the bottom layers of tulle in the front of the dress. It was the perfect remedy because the the black lace layer completely camouflaged my temporary tailoring job (just remember to pin through the slip because big silver pins may not be able to be so easily hidden). By pinning the dress I was able to navigate the evening only tripping on my dress ONCE! You will need anti-static spray. Trust me. When I first took the dress out of the box it was crazy staticky but I let it just hang and air out overnight and that got rid of most of it. But I still highly recommend getting some anti-static spray to keep all of those layers under control. One more great thing about this dress- It's not sleeveless. I was free to have a full range of motion during the evening, unlike a lot of other girls who had to constantly keep their necklines in check. Overall- absolutely beautiful, super classy, comfortable, flattering, and eye catching without being gaudy. I felt like I had the best dress at the dance! Oh, and I haven't even mentioned the back! The back of the dress is just... I can't even describe... no words. Rent this dress. All the other girls will be jealous!

Im normally a size 6 but in formal dresses from RTR the 4 fits perfect. The length was perfect too with 4inch heels since Im so short. The lace was beautiful and the tulle just needed a little steaming and static guard. It is such a beautiful, elegant and timeless gown...LOVED IT!!!!!

Wasn't sure about this dress at first, but once I got to the party I have to say I was quite happy! I wore size 2L, which floated approx an inch or two above the ground with flats. It pinched slightly under my arms, but I couldn't wear size 4L, because one could tell that that dress had been worn a lot more and the fabric on the bottom was scrunched together, which made the dress to short for me. I liked that I got a black ribbon/belt to go with it which I really liked. Only problem was that I forgot all about it when I got ready.

This is a lovely dress - sophisticated, with a nicely tailored look. The size 2 was a bit snug but the 4 fit like a glove. The design of the dress emphasizes the bust and gives the appearance of a very small waist. I added a wide, long black grosgrain ribbon tied into a bow at the side as a belt, which I thought pulled it together perfectly. I had to purchase lower heels (nude, 2") than I had planned to wear because the dress was a couple of inches shorter than I expected, but I was much more comfortable than I would have been in the taller heels! Only drawback: one other woman had this dress at my event (475 attendees) and four had the mermaid version!

Overall, the dress was great success. I wore it to an office holiday masquerade party and got rave reviews. I am usually between a size 6 and 8, but I opted for the 8 due to the bust size. Recommend!

I cannot say any negative thing about this dress because there arent any negatives!! This dress is so beautiful and it fits perfect :) i have small bust so i didnt have any problem with the top :) i felt like a princess and i got to s of compliments :) and the best compliment of all night came from my husband who barely compliments on my clothing but for the dress he said i looked stunning and so beautiful :D

I wore this dress for my prom, and I got so many compliments. I felt like such a princess in my dress, and my date couldn't take his eyes off of me. It was comfortable enough to dance in, and the perfect dress for a perfect night.

This dress felt amazing!! It's flattering to all problem areas (i.e. upper arms, tummy). The 12L I ordered wasn't available at the last minute and I was freaked because most reviews said the top fit snug but the 10L fit beautifully with plenty of room to breathe.

I am 5'11, size 10 and struggle with dress length. This dress fitted me like a glove.i could even wear my obligatory high heeled shoes. An amazing, chic and beautiful dress made with light weight fabrics. It made me feel like a million dollars. Recommended 100%. I had so many compliments all evening and loved wearing this work of art.

I am small on the bottom (Size 2) but bigger through the bust. I needed a six. The dress is very full and you need static cling guard for the under-slip. It's a back zipper which was a little challenging as the bodice is a tight fit, but it's beautifully made and just a stunning dress. I loved wearing it.

This dress is gorg! Although I chose my back up, it was difficult not to want to pull a wardrobe change halfway through the event. I will rent this again. Fit was true to size. I didn't find issues with sleeve tightness. Tulle was simple to release wrinkles in a hot shower. LOTS of tulle so if space is an issue, this is not the dress for you. Definite statement dress. I would have worn a black silk ribbon tied in a bow at the waist, simply because I felt it needed a little something extra. Overall, highly recommended!

You can tell this dress was well made, fully lined both top and bottom. I wore an 8L and I am 5'6 so with a 2 inch heel, the dress fit perfect. Knowing that this dress does flare out at the hips, I am glad that I was on the tall side. Petite people may have an issue with having the dress make them appear round.

I absolutely fell in love with this dress!! It fit perfectly and was very true to size. I wore 3 inch heels with it and it was the perfect length. It was also very comfortable to wear. This was my first rental from Rent the Runway and I was extremely impressed with the beauty, fit, and condition of the dress, as well as with how easy the whole process was! I felt like a princess - would 100% recommend it!

This dress was gorgeous and I got a ton of compliments! The base fabric has a good bit of stretch to it, so you may be able to wear a size smaller than you usually do. There is also a lot, and I mean *a lot* of fabric in the skirt. This gives it great volume and movement, but it can be a real pain to get around in. Very fluffy and full. This dress was all over a dream to wear, very comfortable and classically elegant. Five stars!!

I've never had SO MANY people ask about my dress. I wore this to a black tie wedding in the summer, so I wanted something formal, but not too slinky or tight as I might get hot. This dress is SO light and VERY flattering. I will likely rent again. It really was perfect!

i normally wear a size 4, but this ran small in my bust area, so i had to size up to a 6. I am fairly tall, 5'8" and i ordered the "long" size of this dress but i had to wear flats...it's pretty short. Heels would have never worked! overall though - i loved it and it worked out beautifully! i felt like a very glamorous queen bee :-)

It fit like a glove. I rented the 4R and 6R and there was not a huge difference. The 6R's neckline was larger so I chose to wear the 4R, because I have a smaller bust. Throughout the night I felt although the neckline of the 4R began to stretch out. The tulle ripped easily, I actually had to take my shoes off so they would stop getting caught on the tulle. It was a beautiful dress, though,and everyone told me how classy and elegant my date and I looked, which is what we were going for. I paired this dress with RTR earrings Juliet & Company Silver Lilliana Earrings and they went together perfectly. I couldn't have loved any dress more than I did this one.

Loved the dress! The fit, oh my! I ordered the dress for a Gatsby style fashion shoot. The tulle was in perfect condition. I'm glad I ordered the 4L version. It fit like a glove on my model, with just enough of breathing room and was long enough for her tall frame. Totally would recommend this to anyone!

Rented this dress for a wedding and I couldn't 't happier. RTR staff was beyond helpful and accommodating, the dress arrived on time. Usually wear 6 for daytime dresses, 8 in evening attire. Based on previous reviews went with the 8 (also to be safe). As 8R wasn't available, ordered 8L. I'm 5'4" and with 4" light platform heels, dancing and walking can be a bit challenging. Thanks to previous reviews, the static guard and the steamer took care of the wrinkles from shipping and I was able to get the same look as shown on the picture. Best to wear a nude bra underneath as it blends seemlesly with the neutral lining. Accessorized with Franchi "Suit and Tie" clutch. Going forward RTR is my place to go for a formal, special occasion dress. Thank you!

Honestly almost teared up when I had to return this. I was kind of nervous when I ordered the dress. The description had said it ran small. But it fit perfectly! It might have been a little snug on the waistline, but it was unnoticeable. Everyone said I looked like a princess and this dress paired great with my burgundy lipstick. I would definitely rent this dress again.
