The fit was true to size. I have a petite build and muscular lower body and was still able to move around in the dress.

This dress fit very well and was comfortable all night without shapewear. There is no stretch in this dress so I would definitely size up for your backup. I got several compliments and really stood out in a sea of black dresses!

This dress is super pretty and the color is beautiful. I didn't end up wearing this because of the fit. I have wide hips/saddle bags and the length of the dress just wasn't flattering for my body type.

I sized up after reading everyone's comments and glad I did! It fot perfectly. The only negative was that the lace at the collar curled in...it wouldnt lay flat but I didnt notice until we'd already left for the evening so I couldnt iron it down. Otherwise, this dress is perfection!

Although I did not need to wear a bra (32DD), I did for cleaner lines.

I ordered sizes 6 & 8, I wore the 8. I found the dress to be very comfortable and I received several compliments. I would wear this dress again.

Wore this for a semi formal dinner and it felt crisp, tailored, striking, sophisticated and attractive without being overtly sexy. The lace and material is thick and well made. The waist is a little tight if you’re between a 2 & a 4 like me, and you like to eat a lot at these functions.

Love that this dress photographs bright red but looks more subdued in person! Definitely wedding guest appropriate, wore in 80 degree weather and it was comfortable. Agree with other reviewers that attached nude slip does not ride up (such a plus.) Classy length, just below knee on me at 5'8". Did not need a bra but I suspect you are more than 34B/C in a Size 4, it might be tight in the chest. Wore with Spanx, because a stylist once told me sheath dresses should always be worn with them.

I rented this for a wedding and it was gorgeous. Runs small- I normally wear a 0/2 and the 2 was snug. Very fitted through top and waist but I'm a flattering way. I have narrow hips and there was some room in the hips but you should likely size up if you have big hips. Color is stunning!

Wore this to an evening wedding. I was skeptical to rent online because I’m short and it’s hard to find things that don’t need altering. I used the previous dress reviews and customer’s body types to choose the dress. I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. I fit into the 6R, but the 8R fit more comfortably. Definitely go a size larger for your back-up size.

The dress was form fitting with little room to spare, but I was comfortable and able to move and dance. I normally wear black, so it was fun to wear some color. Received lots of compliments.

So many compliments with this one! It was a little snug around the waist, but a larger size would have probably been to big in other areas. The dress was more of a dark pink than red, but that could have been because of wear. Overall - loved it!!

Loved this beautiful dress! Fits true to size, but definitely size up if you have hips, since the cut is a little narrow through the waist. Despite this being a fitted dress, I found it comfortable and easy to move in. I lived that the slip didn't ride up at all, which is often a proveito these types of dresses. This would be a perfect staple in my closet that I would wear again and again!

I initially ordered a different red dress, but a black dress arrived & I freaked out. Customer service, as usual, saved the day & graciously dealt with my initial irritation! This dress fit perfectly & was a prettier design than my first. The 10 was "fit like a glove" perfect, but I opted for the 12 because it afforded me more room to move (& drink juleps/eat!). I'd keep the dress if I could! I didn't need a bra with the 10, but wore one in the 12 so the chest didn't appear baggy.

This dress was perfect for a wedding! It fit really well and was also comfortable - a nice bonus. The color was as it appears in the pictures. I was a bit worried about the length but I ended up liking it all around. A great dress, for sure!

Based on recommendations I ordered my usual size and one up. I decided to go with the 8R because I thought I would be more comfortable with a little room. The dress definitely hugs your curves. I did notice a small pucker where the zipper ends on my bottom and I did steam the scalloped lace on the front neck line and back top so it would lay properly. I was very happy with my choice and received many compliments. Classy and sexy. Red was the perfect color for the holiday party. I would rent this dress again! Thanks RTR!!

Was really struggling on what to wear to a wedding at almost 4 months post baby. My body shape is totally different and a bra is a must with my new 32H boobs. This dress was perfect! Dress was structured enough to go without spanx but had enough stretch to accommodate my boobs. I️ wore a nude bra and the only place it showed was a bit on the side by my armpits. Still carrying +15lbs but felt great in this dress. So grateful to RTR I️ was able to feel like myself again and find something to work for my new body type.

Beautiful dress, received many compliments on it all night! Very flattering for curvier types like myself. I usually wear a 12 but RTR was only able to provide me this dress in my backup size 14. There was a little extra room in the bust. Normally I do not mind that, but in the 14 I was worried about my bra showing around the arm area. Nothing a little double sided tape couldn't fix. Probably wouldn't have happened in my regular size.

Perfect fit. Obsessed.
