This was a second dress I rented so only got one size. After reading the reviews I went with a size 6. I usually wear a 2 or 4. I could have used the 4 as it was a little big in the top. It worked out fine for the photo shoot though. The dress is very comfortable and very beautiful.

I typically wear an 8, but the 6 fit better through fitted area of dress. 8 gaped around breasts and waist. I loved how I felt in this, especially liked the cute around the shoulders and the open back. I did end up wearing another dress, however.

This dress was perfect for my petite figure, fairly straight frame with a ballerina booty. I typically wear a 0-2 and the dress fit pretty true to size. I was able to eat a full meal and not feel like I was busting out of the dress. The neckline was flattering and gave a nice silhouette to the shoulders and arms. I found the skirt a tiny bit longer than planned since I'm petite at 5'4". It felt very "Carrie Bradshaw" for my Breast Cancer Pink Tie Ball.... hence the pink heels.

It's fit perfect

Since I have a long torso, this sits a little high on my waist. But it's unbelievably forgiving and you can actually eat in this!! It's playful and modern, and in the right light the navy really pops. Top fits well and I didn't need to wear a bra which was a relief. The tulle is fluffy and fun but does tend to wrinkle. However, I sat through a two hour movie and it wasn't the worse for wear! Highly recommend this dress for a wedding or party!

Fit well for a petite small chested girl. If you are busty probably wouldn't recommend. I felt like a princess and it was so fun and flowy!

The dress does not give any so I had to size up as it would not reach around my larger rib cage area to close. The top kept coming undone because it was a little bigger than it should have been. HOWEVER, this dress was absolutely gorgeous! I received compliments from everyone! I felt gorgeous in it as well! It's fun and funky! The cut of the top is flattering and even though it is backless I did not need a bra (which is usually NEVER the case). I cannot say enough amazing things about this dress!!! I would rent this again in a heartbeat!!!

I wore this to a fundraiser and felt very festive! I'm usually between a 2 and 4 and the 2 was the only one available. The clasp at the top of the zipper felt tight when sitting, but was fine otherwise. The only annoying thing was the tulle skirt was VERY wrinkled when it arrived. Like, creased in a really ugly way that looked more like it started to go into a meat grinder even though I'm sure it was just from shipping. I tried to fluff by hand, but ended up ironing most of the layers of tulle and under layer of the skirt. I love the tulle look though, and got lots of compliments at the event.

This dress was perfect for the awards event I attended. It has great movement and is a perfect dress for the stage. I wore a size 6 and it fit perfect in the upper body. A Tighter fit was better, since it had an open back. The wasit of the dress does not have any give to it, so take that it account when sizing. Loved loved this dress! It does not dissapoint!

I ordered the 10 and 12 but the 10 was unavailable. The 12 actually fit perfectly, almost a little too tight around my rib cage. I usually wear a 10 so i would order up! The open back is a nice feature so wear a sticky bra. The top of the dress is structured so it holds the bra in place well. The tulle skirt needs a little steaming but not much. It was poufy and edgy and perfect! I would recommend spraying scotch guard on the skirt if you live in a dry climate.

I love this dress! It was so fun to wear and it was so flattering! I got so many compliments. The waist band is the tightest point but was still very comfortable. I had so much fun twirling in the skirt all night. The dress came to me with a small rip in the top layer of tulle but because it's mostly black/navy you could barely tell. The customer service from RTR was incredible and they even offered to overnight me a new dress the next day but i loved the dress so much i still wore it! I'm glad i did because i felt great in it all night. Will definitely rent again and totally recommend this dress!

I wore this dress for an event benefiting the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital called FashionFest. It was the perfect dress! This style was unique and the black and navy tulle made it so fun to wear. I knew I wanted to add a pop of color so adding the right belt, shoes and necklace put it over-the-top. I loved the open back but you’ll definitely want to find a bra with side straps only. I found mine at target. Also, where it zips and clasps was in a spot lower than I’m used to so it was tighter than I’d have liked. But I couldn’t go up a size larger because it would have been much too big on top. My main issue was the hanger strap on the left side that I had to be diligent in order for it to stay put but I couldn’t cut bc it was a rental. Overall this was a fantastic dress and could be worn to any event. Highly recommend!

I felt gorgeous in this dress! I ordered the 2 and 4...but wore the 4 ...felt like i had more room....back of the dress on the 4 ran larger then the 2 but no one noticed...super comfortable compliments all night long...loved the style, color was beautiful and it was simply stunning....first time ordering from RTR..amazing experience...will definitely be renting again...Xo

I am 5'4", 122lbs, 32C, with an athletic build. I typically wear a size 2, but followed the advice of other reviewers and sized up. The top of the 4 fit very well (with the help of those silicon sticky bras!), but the waist band was tight and got uncomfortable when sitting. The length of the dress fell to about mid-shin. For the wedding, which took place in a formal church, i covered the back and shoulders with a blazer. I thought for sure i would want to wear the 6 for the rest of the night after sitting uncomfortably in church, but the top of the 6 gaped in the back and armpits and generally had a baggy fit, so i stayed with the 4. All that being said, I felt gorgeous in this dress! It is easily one of the most beautiful dresses i have ever worn. I received so many compliments (even with the blazer), and was continuously asked if i felt like a princess. Absolutely I did! The dress was great for dancing and the fun, full skirt meant that I didn't have to feel conscientious about the extra pieces of wedding cake i ate!

Open back made a great statement. Fitted bodice and super comfortable on a very long 12+ hour day. I received so many complements I can't even tell you - heard strangers talking about me winning the "best dressed guest" award. Loved that I could show off my shoes.

I'm usually a size 10 but due to a roomier fit in the top area, I sized down. The skirt is full so my leg room wasn't compromised. I opted to go braless which was fine due to a fitted top.

I wore this for a fancy wedding I attended- and I got compliments the whole day. I felt so wonderful and the silhouette was very flattering on my figure. I loved this dress so much, I didn't want to take it off at the end of the day! I originally ordered the size 0 initially, but it was actually the size 2 that fit me. The size 2 dress also seemed to have another layer of tulle the size 0 didn't (hmm). My one issue with the fit was that the top part of the dress was a bit too loose, but it wasn't an issue really. All in all - I loved this dress and think it is classy and versatile enough for a variety of occasions.

Lots of compliments one this one! And it's such a fun dress to wear. It is most fitted right around the upper waist, so definitely keep mind body type when renting. But loved loved it. All my friends wanted to me to keep it!

I die for this dress! Such a comfortable dress and the compliments were flowing. The top runs a little large, but the dress overall is amazing! The tutu gives it a little flare and such a fun element. My favorite rental by far - I wish I owned this one! Can't wait to find another showstopper for my next event!

Absolutely loved loved LOVED this dress! I was working a black tie fundraiser and definitely did not have anything appropriate for the event. A friend told me about RTR and I am completely hooked! This dress was amazing. I didn't want to give it back! I got the most compliments on it and more than one of the guests called it my "Carrie Bradshaw moment". So glad I found this dress!

Very flattering formal dress, but waist runs very tight (with a few weak fastening). Skirt is very full and keeps it shape during a long night...

I normally don't go braless but this dress provided the perfect support and was fitted in the front to support the open back. I felt ah-mazing in this tulle dress and got compliments all night. The black n' blue contrast allowed for some mixing up with accessories, a faux fur, and gem purse.

This was my backup dress, but should have been my first choice! I got more compliments than I think I ever have before! I could have used the next size up as it was a little tight around the waist, but it wasn't uncomfortable. I am large chested and with the open back a bra isn't an option, I was able to use some adhesive cups that provided enough coverage to make me comfortable. The blue isn't as vibrant as in the picture, but the dress is still a showstopper!

Reviewers says size up for your back up. So glad I did. I needed it as I couldn't get the other one buttoned. No stretch in the bodice. The skirt needed time to unwrinkle and repoof. Gorgeous statement dress.

Our winter wedding colors were neutrals and navy/black and this was PERFECT for our rehearsal dinner. Was so fluffy and full of movement and the open back was sexy and interesting without being over the top. The waist was remarkably tight (especially since we served Italian) and I didn't wear a bra to keep my chest small. The neckline and arm cutouts are so elegant. The dress made me feel equal parts princess and metal rocker. It was girly without being frivolous. One of my favorite rentals of all time. A GREAT special occasion choice!

I wore this dress for my engagement shoot. I could not be happier with the way the photos turned out. We went out for a nice dinner after and I received so many compliments! The blue is brighter in natural light, which I loved. I thought it fit true to size, or a little small. I am larger in the butt and thigh area, but the fit of the dress didn't make it a problem.

The dress fit well over all. The only con was the loops inside the dress kept peeking out. I would highly recommend this dress.

Absolutely fell in love with this dress - I wish I could own it! It fit pretty true to size, and was the perfect dress for a NYE gala. Of course the only picture I have that has the full dress is a snapchat screenshot, but that doesn't take away from how awesome this dress was. It's a little puffier than on the model and it wasn't as blue, but still gorgeous. I received so many compliments, this dress definitely made NYE a night to remember. Fair warning, the bustle tears easily, so be careful!

definitely a break from all of the tight black dresses at school dances! Got compliments all night. Make sure you steam it when u get it--I hung mine in my bathroom for when I was showering. Didn't even have to wear a bra! The tulle is delicate so be careful.

This was sent as a substitute for a different dress and I feel very blessed for this turn of events. I really didn't expect it to work well with my body but it was great. The shape of the dress allows you to eat and drink with confidence because the tulle skirt will conceal a food baby. I was also hesitant that it would be awkward to dance in but the layers of the skirt can really be worked well into some moves. I received a ton of compliments, like 40+. Two things are worth considering. The material of the top portion looks a little cheap from up close so i recommend having a necklace planned to wear with it because it really needs something to offset that. #2 Do not try to rest your phone (or anything really) on your lap. No how deep you nest it it will slide down and off without warning.

I rented this for 80s prom party. I wear 00 most of the time so I was worried it might be a little bit but fit was perfect. Tulle dress was so fun

As a longtime and very happy RTR client I must say this was my ultimate most favorite dress I have rented. The length on me was tea and I'm 5'5". It was a nice fit in the bodice and around the neck. No bra can be worn because of the stunning open back. It is tight around the transition from bodice to skirt so if between sizes go up for backup. The tulle was full and so much fun! I felt so feminine and fabulous. I do not want to send this dress back!

There are not enough words to describe how perfectly amazing this dress was. It fit perfect. I wore a low back corset bra that barely showed near the armpit, but it blended in so you couldn't tell. The tulle was the perfect amount of fluffy, and the dress was in great shape. I wore it for my companies annual awards banquet, which is normally a semi-formal event but I like to kick things up a notch. I got compliments all night and on our way out, one of the event hall staff told me I had the best dress of the night! It even had a great twirl!

I rented this for my 16-year-old for a school formal. The picture speaks for itself, and I even had parents and school faculty reach out to me to complement her! I'm looking forward to many more rent the RTR experiences both for myself and two daughters!

gown runs small, a size up from my regular "normal" size of 10. overall, it is comfortable and fun. good fit for a size 10 except that it is a 12. i am 4'11 and its up to my ankles.

The 4 was great. Couldn't wear a bra with it because of the back but that worked fine for me. It did crinkle a little during shipping but I just hung it up right when it arrived and it settled out by the next evening when I needed to wear it. It was truly beautiful and I got lots of compliments and enjoyed wearing it.
