Perfect dress for New Year's Eve

This dress is so chic and was a huge hit! It runs small in the chest area, so much so that I couldn't wear a bra. If the next size up would have been available, it would have worked perfectly. The fabric is heavy and it's so well made. Probably my favorite dress I've ever rented.

Unique and fun hemline, and perfect to dance in.

I ordered the dress as a backup, as I wasn't sure about the material on a June/summer wedding if it was hot. The day ended up being temperate and the material was actually quite light so I wore this over the other dress I ordered. However, it does run very large. I'm generally a size 6 up top and I wore an IT 40/US 2. It pulled a little bit across the chest but the 4 wasn't available and I'm afraid it would have been too loose in the end. I was also afraid that the 2 would be too short, as I'm tall. And it really was perfect. It has a really unique hemline and the contrast of the navy satin and the black crepe made it less formal which was perfect for the event.

So chic!

Wore this insanely chic dress to a fashion event in Manhattan. Being 5'4", had to wear high high pumps to lengthen my look since it was bit knee/tea length. So many compliments and can't go wrong with Narciso for a night.

Great dress for a fashion event

I wore this to a reception at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I felt great in the dress, which is flattering, forgiving, and super chic! Unfortunately, it couldn't really accommodate my boobs (36C), but I fixed that by wearing a jog bra -- problem solved. It didn't hang 100% perfectly on my left side, probably because I'm not a hanger, but I don't think anybody noticed the little wrinkle at my hip. The bodice is black and the skirt is midnight blue -- appears black in a dark room. I wore it with the Anton Heunis colorblocked crystal necklace, which seemed like it was made for this dress. Thank you RTR!

Comfortable, wrinkle free dress!

Loved this dress at 8.5 months pregnant! Wore it to a wedding and was very comfortable all night. The bottom fabric sometimes looked closer to navy than black. I could have worn the 44, but the bust was cut too tight. I am more like a full D cup at this point, so lager busted chicks may want to size up, thought it is smaller. I did a lot of sitting and never got wrinkled. I would definitely recommend this dress, especially to pregnant fashionistas!

Show-stopping, comfortable dress

Fit is slightly on the large side, backup should be a size down unless you're worried about tightness through the chest. Bottom half is a dark blue satin that I worried about getting dirty but that held up wrinkle-free all day. It's a long and loose dress and may look overwhelming on someone short. Overall, this is one of the coolest, nicest pieces of clothing I've ever worn.

Unique, architectural design

Loved this dress! I had to wear a size or two up from what I normally wear just because that's what was available, but it still worked. The dress is great for someone who is smaller on top.

STUNNING but WAY too big!

I wear a size 8/10 usually, but it definitely depends on the cut and style. I ordered an 8 and was SO sad when i tried it on and it was a sack on me. I needed at least 1 size smaller, if not 2. I was so sad to have to return it without wearing it. (I called to see if I could get a smaller size but they were all rented out).

Felt like a star!

Lovely!! The bias cut makes it a little "wonky" fitting around the boob / ribcage ...If i owned it, i would have it have it tailored. It was fun for a night tho!

STYLIST REVIEW

If you are looking for a comfortable style, this is it! I felt like I could have a Thanksgiving dinner feast and then some of the leftovers with this option. It has a lot of give throughout the bust, waist and hip area because it is a trapeze dress, but I would also give it some balance with a belt or simple jewelry to help provide some lineage. Also great for any expectant moms!

Great Dress, but runs big!

It's hard for me to rate this with stars since I did not wear the dress. I am 5 months pregnant and ordered this dress for a wedding. I ordered the wrong size thinking I needed something big. The dress was way too big and I could've ordered down. I did not end up wearing the dress but agree with the other reviewers and recommend, regardless if you are preggos or not ordering a size down. I wish it fit since it was nice stylish dress. The top is black and the bottom is a different material, more of a satin dark navy. The picture makes it look all black but it's not. I do recommend the dress, but order 1 to 2 sizes down.

runs really large

I rented this for a party but ended up not wearing it. The size they sent me was way too large and completely unwearable. I didn't get a backup. I knew the lower part of the dress would be voluminous, but the top (which is supposed to be fitted) was enormous. It was unflattering and made me look pregnant. Unfortunately, my event was out of state, so I couldn't exchange it for another size. If you decide to rent this dress I would suggest going 1-2 sizes down. Especially if your chest is on the smaller size. Also, wear very high heels to balance out the volume on the lower half.

Very Long

I am 5'7 and usually don't have problems with dresses being too long. This dress was below my knees and very boxy. I didn't wear it because of the length. The hem pulled in a weird way across my chest and the material buckled out on the other side of the dress.

Not for girl who are large up top

This dress had a seam that runs diagonally across the chest area if you have a large chest this is not got you I couldn't wear it cause it looked super funny and the seam wouldn't fit over the chest so it bunched up

swimming in it

This was enormous on me and looked like a giant sack. I have tried to rent this dress several times before without success and was excited to finally wear it. It looked awful and had to go back. Suggest you talk to a stylist for sizing before renting. I like the idea of this dress but would hesitate to try it again for the price.
