Flattering for any body type!

This dress was incredibly flattering & very comfortable. I am 5'8" and this dress hit my knee, so I imagine it may be much longer on someone shorter. I range in size from a 4-8, so I got a 6 & 8. I ended up wearing the 6. Also, the cut is very conservative, so I wish I wore my hair down and less 'polished'. Overall, it was a great dress and I highly recommend renting it, especially if you are going to a family/more traditional event or wedding.

Very flattering fit. Black detailing is edgy but subtle. Take small steps - not a ton of room in the bottom of the dress. Would totally rent this one again.

I couldn't have loved a dress more. This is the epitome of chic. It had an absolutely amazing fit and the material was flawless. I never wanted to send it back. Rent this!

I was grateful for the other reviews which described the dress as running large. I'm usually a 6 or an 8, and I easily fit the 6, even though the dress was form fitting. It was a little loose on the waistline/tummy. If I owned the dress, I would have it taken in there. But the fact that it wasn't sucking on to my every inch made it very comfortable! And still flattering. Had a great night!

This dress is by far my FAVORITE of any dress I've rented!!! When I put it on I knew it was "the one"! It fit perfectly in all the right areas and the full back zipper allowed me a little extra walking room. It hugged every curve on my naturally athletic body, the detailed waistline accentuated that area perfectly and made me feel fit and thin, while the length and sleeves were perfectly appropriate for my TV news anchoring job. My only change.... MAKE MORE COLORS!!!!!!!! Love this one!!!!!

I got this dress to wear to a meeting with important clients at work and then straight out to a party afterward. All I did was change my shoes from classic black pumps to hot McQueen booties and the dress transitioned from day to night perfectly! The cut and fit were very flattering. I got lots of compliments including one from a friend whose closet is a as big as RTR's who called it "the perfect day to night dress". :) One note: I had thought the black detail at the waist was going to be leather, but it's actually satin. Either way it was lovely.

This is a true fit for an hourglass figure. It accentuates in all the right places....I didn't even need Spanx! Great for full busted gals. I am 5'4" and it hit just below the knee, so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone shorter than 5'4" as it will be too long. Great earrings and a bracelet are all you need; I received compliments all night!

This dress was great. Super comfy, chic, and the color was amazing. I found it to be a bit big, but for a work event, I wasn't looking to be too sexy. I would totally rent this again

The fit of this dress is perfect. I don't normally like a cap sleeve, but I loved it with this dress. The side paneling that extends to the waist makes it so slimming. I can't wait to rent this again - and it seems like I'm not the only one because it's almost always rented.

Very structured. The cap sleeves are a little restrictive because the fabric core not have any give, but it wasn't a problem and I was still able to dance!

This dress is fabulous! The black leather feature at the waist has a noticeable slimming affect. I was worried about the length since I am 5'3' but with high heels it looked great. I got several compliments and some great family photos! I loved my backup dress as well. I have rented several dresses and accessories this past year and each experience has been great. I am a committed Rent the Runway customer!

I rented this dress for my anniversary. I ordered the 40 and the 42, ended up wearing the 42 (could have worn the 40) because I was going to be out walking around most of the day I decided on a little "wiggle room" for more comfort. I got several compliments on this dress. It's very classy and sophisticated and very flattering. I'm 5'5 and the dress hit a little below my knees, but looked nice with heels. Not sure if you can tell from the stock photos, but there is a two-way zipper in the back, to make for a more adjustable back slit. The zipper is not lined from inside the dress, which made for a couple of chilly moments when sitting down and feeling a cold zipper all the way down your back.

It has a structure fit but also lots of stretch. Perfect for a "career moment" I was really impressed with the detailing and got tons of compliments. I can't' wait to have another excuse to rent it!

I wore this for a work meeting and absolutely loved it. I am usually a 6 in dresses, and ordered both the 42 and the 44. The 44 had a little room, but I liked the looser fit for my work meeting. This is a fabulous dress!

I wore it to a professional function with a fitted black jacket over during the day and continued into the evening hours sans jacket.

This was perfect for a work event/party, but a bit snug. I usually wear a 10, and only the 44 was available, so I took a chance. It fit, but was tight, especially around the hips. I'd also be wary of the cap sleeves - they hit me right in a spot that made my arms look HUGE. I got a lot of compliments, but didn't like any of the photos because of my arms!

The dress was pretty, but in the picture it looked a bit edgier than in real life. I ordered the 42 & 44. The 44 was WAY too big and long and the 42 was a little tight but not too bad so I ended up wearing the 42. Being 5'4" the size 42 hit right below my knee. I wore it to a wedding thinking the material was a bit different and would look a little edgier with the black midsection but it was just an okay dress. Also, the material is very thick so if you're planning on wearing it on a hot day...don't! Overall, I think I would rent it again but for a work related function.

I love the look of this dress but it was way too large for my small frame. It was definitely made for someone with a longer torso. The body of the dress hung loose to my waist. I think it would look fabulous on someone tall and lean.

The cut of the cap sleeves and waist made reaching and certain movements a little awkward. The way the waist is sewn also can make it look like you have a pooch where there isn't one...however the style of the dress was great and for the political event I wore it to, a perfect selection. I would call this a work event dress for sure....possibly happy hour after work, but not an "out on the town" look.

I wore this to a Gala with work. It was pretty and fit well but the arms were really tight. Because of this it was really hard to zip up on my own. The style is cool but maybe not dressy enough for a cocktail event.
