I am 5'6", athletic build, normally a 4/6 and I ordered a size large based on other reviews -- I was so glad I did. It was still tight on my butt region, and the chest area fit perfectly (I am a 32 C...). This dress worked great for a western themed party, but definitely just runs so small.

This dress was perfect for a weekend getaway to New Mexico.

Soft and stretchy material. Very short (had to layer) but flattering and summery.

Wore this to a country themed function and got SO many compliments! Fit was great, a little short but nothing too revealing.

I sized up based on other reviews, and the fit is tighter but stretchy and lightweight. I would rent again.

Totally in love with this dress. Denim dress of my dreams. However this is definitely true to size / a little small. If you have a bust this is also not the dress for you. I'm a 2/4/6 and lean towards a medium in dresses since I'm also 5'9. This was a little tight and shorter than I would have liked on me but I made it work! It was super flattering and I received lots of compliments. Wish I owned it!!

I’m a true xs and this was just a little snug- could still make it work. But sizing up would have been more comfortable

I wore this out to dinner with my husband and loved it! Only giving it 4 stars because if the fit. It was a little tight in my lower body but fit great otherwise. I am small chested and it worked wonderful for me

This mini dress is super cute. It’s short, but I am 5’6” and I didn’t think it was too short that I couldn’t bend over. However, when you sit down, the front opens up a little more than I would like because of the buttons. I found the fabric a bit heavy in the upper body and made it difficult to move around, but as the day progressed, the fabric stretched a little bit and it was better. Although, I didn’t end up wearing the day I intended to because there was a lot of walking involved and it didn’t feel comfortable, I wore it a different day when I wasn’t too busy moving around and I felt very cute in it.

Not good if you have a butt

The material is a thick, stretchy denim. The buttons are difficult to button, and it was pretty tight across my chest (I'm a 34 DD). I actually really liked the fit of the body, it was flattering, but the shoulders felt really bulky and wide. I rolled the sleeves twice to make the proportions a little better. Overall this is a cute dress, but I don't think I'd be very comfortable wearing it all evening.

I don’t know if this just shrank a lot in laundering or if this brand’s sizing is just completely warped. The large might be a 4 at best

I'm a solid 8 but sized up since the reviews said to do it. I ordered an XL and it was still SUPER SHORT. Like my rear was inches from exposure...

I wanted to love this, but it hugged all the wrong curves. I sized up because I was afraid it would be too short, little did I know that it would barely fit my chest, stomach, and hips. I did manage to button it all the way (although the buttons did not button easily - it took a good while) but it wasn't comfortable or flattering. This was not meant for someone hourglass shaped. Its meant for someone with straight hips and smaller chest. The length was actually fine in the front, and although it felt a little short in the back, covered everything. Ultimately couldn't wear.

It runs big on top and small on the bottom. For reference, this was a size L, and it was still very tight around the hips (I couldn't comfortably close all the buttons) but it was quite loose in the chest / shoulders. I got compliments though, and it was comfortable otherwise.

I usually go for a medium in most things, only the large would even close. It looked cute but was snugger than ideal.

I unfortunately never had a chance to wear this dress but it was SO CUTE. It fit like a glove so size up for a looser fit.

Definitely size up!! I am normally a 2-4. Got the size small and it was so tiny! Maybe even size up two sizes. Looks cute and well made!

I’m an 8 in dresses. I rented the biggest size (a 12) because others said it runs small. It’s ridiculously small. Cute dress if you are a 6 and rent the 12.

Absolutely size up in this dress. I usually wear a M or L and could barely squeeze my ass into this dress. If you are tall beware, I'm 5'8" and it just covered my butt. Sizing issues aside the dress is nicely structured and was perfect for a casual date.

Small, even compared to other items I've rented from same brand.

I'm much curvier on the bottom than I am on the top, this would be a good top for someone bustier as the top was super loose on me and the bottom was very tight. I ended up not wearing it, but wish I could have. My body just isn't the right shape for this.

The material is stretchy and soft, but the fit just doesn’t work. I read the other reviews and ordered anyway but they’re right. It’s really tight and snug, buttons seem like they’re going to pop off.

I assumed because I have no hips or butt I could pull off this dress but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. The buttons are functional but that means if you’re not standing perfectly still with thighs touching the space between the buttons gaps to the point of showing.. a lot. Top half runs a little large so sizing up would have made the top half too big to make up for the better fitting bottom. Perhaps better suited for someone larger up top but slimmer in hips/thighs. Style was really cute I was bummed it didn’t work for me.

If you have a smaller chest, there was some extra room. Because of the denim material, it was noticeable. The hips were a little snug. I just didn't feel comfortable and the fit didn't look good on me

Use much as I wanted this to work out, it didn't. When I put it on, it was too small around my thighs- so much so that the buttons were gaping. Girls with big thighs beware

This dress is so cute and I was really hoping to wear it for vacation. Unfortunately it was way to small. I typically wear a 10/12 but this couldn't even be buttoned. Apparently this particular designer thinks a size 12 is for someone flat chested that weighs a lot less than 150 lbs.
