I'm glad I rented this despite reviews being kind of all over the place. I found the dress to be perfect for what it was - a black sweater dress! Very thick and warm as well.

And I was pleasantly surprised. It was comfortable and flattering. I even debated keeping it. I would rent again.

Nice and thick for cold days. Great length. Arms were large. The belt was in the strangest low place around my butt so I just moved it up. Would have been unwearable without that.

Honestly, this is a dress? This piece was awful under any circumstances. I wouldn't be caught dead in it. Also, practically, the loop holes for a belt were down below my waist. So no idea how to add a belt accessory without overflowing fabric.

This is a hot mess. The belt is sewn on about a foot too low, it has zero shape, fabric is way too thick, I could go on, but the picture (excuse the bad background edit, it’s late and I’m tired) should speak for itself. Don’t rent this. And RTR, please take this out of circulation.

Super cute as an open cardigan; the belt is a bit heavy to tie in the back and sit right. Wore as a dress with leggings and boots, very comfortable and stylish! I didn't have the problem with the belt sitting too low as other reviewers mentioned, maybe I have a longer torso than some.

This sweater was perfect for all occasions. I wore it a lot. Mostly I wore it open with the ties around the back. I loved it. Didn't experience any issues like other reviews.

Thick, comfortable and no shape-wear needed. Felt great wearing this to a professional event in the Fall in NYC.

I will be keeping this. I wore it as a sweater, as opposed to a dress. Love the heaviness of it and it was very warm.

Love wearing this dress to work and on the weekend. The dress was oversized but I think it works.

Could use a belt if you want a more defined waist line. Wore it to a rehearsal dinner and it was perfect!

The fabric is great - cozy, thick, not at all itchy. But this is meant for someone who is at least 5’8”. I’m 5’2” and the loops for the waist tie were under my butt, so I was swimming in this and couldn’t wear it.

Tie does not go to your waist. The fit is all wrong.

Do not recommend. Fabric is heavy and scratchy. I know I’m a short person but the belt was located down below my bum…? Feel like it must have been an error in the manufacture because I can’t imagine who that would work for. Tie would be low even on a tall model

The belt was sewn in near the knee. Didn’t work. It was all I had though on work trip so I tied it and made it work.

Echoing the other comments...this is unwearable due to where the belt is stiched.

I have never left a review for a RTR item until now. Basically, the tie that is supposed to turn this cardigan into a sweater wrap dress is placed so low (below my hips?!) that there is no normal way to wear it. Trust me, I stood in front of the mirror coming up with all possible combos of how to tie it and came up empty-handed. It could have been possibly salvageable if the tie was detachable, but it is in-fact sewn into the dress. Before renting this, I read the reviews which told me exactly what would happen if I rented the dress, but I had a little sliver of hope that maybe it wouldn’t be the case for me because I’m a bit on the taller end. Nope, I was wrong and it fit exactly how I was warned it would. Would have loved to wear it if I could have!

Like the others said, the belt is so low that when you do attempt to tie around your waist it bunches the material in the back.
