I loved this dress. It was perfect for a fall wedding. The fabric was even thicker than I expected and was beautiful. The fit was great and the cut of the sleeveless top was very flattering. My only concern, if you can call it that, was that it was a bit short on me. Otherwise perfect, received lots of compliments!

Wonderful dress! I got so many compliments all night and I felt amazing in it. After reading previous reviews, I knew to order up in size. The 10 was a little tight around the bottom but fit perfectly in the waist and chest. One thing to note, my dress was actually navy, not black. Not sure if this was intentionally or just the amount of wear/washing of the dress. I was wearing with black tights but by the time it got dark, no one noticed the the navy!

The sizing is strange ... I am usually a size 2 or 4 in US sizing and rented the UK 12 bc it was the only one left and was close to the recommended size. It fit nicely. However, I could of definitely gone down one size. That all being said I LOVED LOVED LOVED this dress. Everyone asked me where I got it and gave me compliments all night. A winner for sure!

I wore this dress to a wedding last weekend and loved it. The colors were fun and bright - the cut of the dress was very flattering (it's Euro sizing so the 14 was equal to an 8). It was a bit on the short side - I'm pushing 5'7" and it was right at the edge of my comfort level for length. The material is a bit thicker - and not breathable - which made sitting in the un-air conditioned church a bit tough - but otherwise a comfortable dress. Very glad I rented this one!

This dress was perfect for a mass wedding ceremony. The length was great (I'm 5'4'' with heels) and I loved the material and print of the fabric. However, this dress ran very small! Thank God I got a size up from normal, because I couldn't even zip up the smallest size (6). With the next size up (8), I still couldn't wear a regular bra because it was tight at the chest area and went with sticky boobs. If you have a bigger bust, you won't be able to take deep breaths or eat too much lol. Overall, I still loved the dress!

I wore this dress to a friend's graduation. The dress was very cute and comfortable. The dress size is based on the UK sizing system, so the size I got was the equivalent to the American size 8. I spent some time outside and the material of the dress was a little heavy so I did get hot, but it was bearable. I also loved that there were pockets! I was able to put a few of the necessities without it looking bulky. I got so many compliments on the dress from people I knew and strangers.

I wore this dress for an early October wedding. It was the perfect weight as it is thicker material without being too warm. The pattern and detail is beautiful as it is actually stitched into the dress. Matthew Williamson can run slightly small in the bust so I wore the US 4. Because of the material there is no need to wear Spanx under the dress. You could wear a strapless bra with this dress or go without. Highly recommend this style!!

With classic lines but bold color, this dress was ideal for an elegant dinner party. Rachel at RTR made this excellent recommendation, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. Beautiful and fun yet still appropriate for a conservative crowd. The Oscar de la Renta necklace set it off beautifully. I loved her choice-thank you, Rachel! Brava!

I ordered a size 8 and 10, but unfortunately, i only received an 8. The dress fit, but it was very snug on me! When it says woven, it means it! No matter i was a little uncomfortable, the dress is beautiful.

This dress was very comfortable and fit great.. I dressed it down a bit with tall boots, which was perfect for my event. The fabric is thick, but was great with the February temperatures, and it showed no signs of wrinkling as the day of sitting and standing went on. I highly recommend this dress.

I really liked this dress! I wore it to a rehearsal dinner for a November wedding. It fit really well but was a little snug over the hips. I had to really try with the zipper - but it worked. The UK12 fit but felt a little too big in the chest. I loved this dress - would def recommend!

The dress is definitely short- I am 5'6" and it was almost too short for me, especially with heels. The bottom material is thicker than the rest of the dress which helped it stay down. I wore a sweater, but if I hadn't, my bra would have been visible. The weight of the material is perfect for winter- I wouldn't suggest this for a spring/summer event.

I loved this dress. It was a perfect early fall wedding dress. I didn't want to take it off at the end of the night. For those that are thinking about renting it, just be cautious about the size. This dress was perfect! The size 6 fit but the zipper was stuck on the fabric. But the 8 fit well. It was still fitted on the top and was above the knee. I'm short - so it wasn't too long. The fabric is a heavy brocade - so you don't need a bra. Overall this dress was perfect! I would rent it again :) I wore this to an afternoon wedding but the reception and ceremony were indoors. Good for evening or day.

The print is a beautiful metallic brocade and the material is pretty thick, making it a great option to wear with tights when its cold outside. For sizing, usually Matthew Williamson runs a little smaller on me, but this dress runs very true to size, maybe even a little bigger. I'd suggest to go with your true size and size down for your back up. Love this for the holiday season!

The dress is European sizes so to be clear, I wore a US 6. I'd say the dress runs 1-2 sizes smaller than normal. I am usually in between a 2 and 4 (4 for fitted bottom dresses). If you have a booty, I'd say this dress runs 2 sizes smaller than normal. The pattern and material are gorgeous! I loved the pockets, though it did cause the dress to be a bit bulky when sitting, but all in all I adored this dress. As some others have noted, this is a dark navy base, not black. I still wore with black heels and looked great IMO. Definitely recommend this dress for a Fall or Winter wedding/event since the material is thick.

Fit perfectly, very comfortable. It was a cold, brisk day and we had a late afternoon/evening outdoor wedding. I wore a leather jacket most of the night with this, but it looked good with the jacket. I was going to wear nude stockings, but went with black instead. I felt great and comfortable throughout the night. I didn't get a ton of compliments, but I know I looked great.

If I could buy this dress, it would be on the top of my list! It fit beautifully. Thick rich fabric-definitely a winter or fall dress. I wore with leggings and boots touring the city and even wore it on the plane home. Love this designer!!!

Accentuates small waist. Good for a large bust and flattering for athletic arms/legs. Tight fit that did not ride up and-wait for it- pockets! Even though it was short I felt comfortable with this on because it did not ride up. I wore it with sandals for an semi-casual dinner date. I would rent it again. Material is somewhat thick but the material is what makes this piece stand out.

This dress was just as pretty in person. The 12 was too small and the 14 was a little big in the waist but worked out just fine and was comfortable to sit, dance, etc. I received quite a few compliments and would definitely recommend it. If it was a little smaller in the waist, it would have been a perfect five star; I really did love the dress. though.

Fit is tight in the hips no give I wear a size 8-10 I wore the 10 but would have felt more comfortable in a 12 but not available. Would rent again.

This was my back-up dress for a wedding, and I liked it enough to wear it to the post-rehearsal dinner events. As other reviewers have noted, you have to size way up - I am usually an 8 and wore a 14 and it fit pretty well. The dress is short and the bust is small/in a weirdly high place, but the bar we were in was dark so people could see the great floral pattern and general shape but not the weird seams on the bust. The neckline also makes it somewhat difficult to wear a regular bra; you could do a cross-back strap or a racer-back bra or a strapless, but not a standard bra.

You can tell that the dress has been worn a lot. It's a little nubby on the seams and near the arm holes. That said, it was a gorgeous dress and a big hit at the event I wore it to. Runs very small- I usually wear a 0 and the 8 was pretty tight/short.

Rented this dress for a wedding in early May. I typically wear a size 0 so I rented the 6 and the 8. The 6 was way too small and the 8 was really tight up top. I wore it anyway, but would definitely rent one size larger next time. Colors, cut, and fabric are all great. Received lots of compliments despite the extra snug fit.

This dress is perfect for any day or night activity during the cold winter months. It is made of thicker material. I paired it with a leather jacket, black stockings, and booties for a fun day out in town. It did run small so be sure to get a backup size a little bigger if your worried about fit. Overall was perfect for what I rented it for. Great RTR customer service once again!

This dress is beautiful and was a great fabric/cut for an in between month (I wore this in March). I'm short and have a large bust and booty so it was a little tight on the hips, and a little long, but very flattering. The pockets make it playful, but the sumptuous print and fabric kept it sophisticated. Wonderful dress. To know; I thought maybe I would be able to hem this a bit with double-sided tape, but the fabric is very think, so keep this in mind.

Such a beautiful dress but too short for a wedding shower. I needed it to be just 2 inches longer. I am 5'10-11. Would be perfect for going out. Will likely rent again for another occasion. Very pretty, nice thick fabric.

I liked this better than my first choice dress. You can do a lot with styling. I dressed it down with black flat boots, a belt and a long, loose sleeveless sweater. It would also look good with tights if it were cold. I needed help getting it zipped up, but that was the only issue. This is made of sturdy material with some metallic in it. I could have gone up a size (equivalent US 10) to fit my waist a little better, but then the top would have been too big. But that's normal for me because I carry my weight in my stomach. The shape of this dress gave me a defined waist.

Because of the other reviews for this dress I thought that this dress would for sure be too small for me as only the size 14 (US 8) was available for my event date. However, when I tried it on, it zipped right away and was just the right amount of fitted in the bust and hip area. Unfortunately, there was a weird pouch that formed in my stomach area because the dress was too loose there. If I was a little smaller on bottom I think it would have been a perfect fit.

I had to get a larger size than I typically would since I'm already bumping at 3 months preggo, so as a result the top part was a little big, but I don't noticeable. I really liked the design of the dress, I think it's pretty unique looking and cool. However, because of the type of material, I think this dress is starting to show it's age and it doesn't look like a new dress anymore. Not sure if this is typical as it's my first time renting.

I got this as a backup and rented an 8, UK sizing usually throws me off a little so Im not surprised it didn't fit. I couldn't get it over my hips, the quilted thick fabric has zero give! Had always read reviews of people choosing not to wear dresses and was so confused! This dress came it wasn't worth it. Sent it back. Very heavy material and not shapely enough. Embroidery work was beautiful though.

I actually ordered three sizes. I'm usually a US size 2, but after reading the reviews that it ran very small I was concerned even the backup US size 4 might be too small. I contacted RTR and they were able to add the US 6 at no cost. However, I tried on all three sizes and there was no discernible difference in fit! There were no tags marking the size, so I couldn't even verify I'd been sent the three different sizes. VERYYY disappointed. The dresses themselves were absolutely beautiful. NOTE: This dress is VERY thick and would be incredibly hot in the summer; would be a more appropriate fall/winter dress.
