As a short person, I normally don't try to wear long dresses. But I've been having some foot problems and needed to wear some rather ugly shoes to this wedding (or face lots of pain), so I went long to hide the shoes. I've also lost a little weight recently, so I rented the 12R and 10R, not sure which would be better. I ended up going with the 10R, which was very snug around the ribcage but fit better overall on the top of the dress. I used some pins at the shoulders and hem tape to bring up the bottom about 4-5 inches (would have needed the hem tape even in tall heels). I really do not think this dress runs small... I think some other reviewers didn't pay attention to the UK sizing. The 10R really did feel like a US 4. The dress is really beautiful, and I got many compliments on it. It moves well and is very vibrant on top. I don't think long dresses look great on short girls, so I'm not sure I would rent it again, but I really enjoyed wearing it.

I LOVED this dress, it was perfect for a summer black tie optional wedding. The fabric is light chiffon so ot was great for hot weather. The color and print were great with a tan. I found the fit relatively easy and was able to wear an x-back bra. It is very fitted at the waist so consider sizing up (and beware it's British sizing!) I'm 5'6" and wore the long with 4" heels but it was a bit long on me.

I wore the R length as I'm 5'2", but even with 4 inch heels, it was still too long. I was picking the dress up any time I walked. Also, the bust was a bit too large for me even though this size fit well around the waist. I used a safety-pin to keep from flashing other guests. I would definitely rent this again! The colors are so gorgeous and it flows like a dream in the breeze. If you're even just thinking about renting this one, stop thinking and get it already.

After reading the reviews I thought this dress ran long, so I ordered the R length. I ended up wearing the 10R for length but it was slightly too large up top. The 8L would have been perfect with a heel. So if you are 5'8" or up and wear heels, I suggest the longer length in size that matches. GREAT DRESS regardless!

I loved this dress but it was way way too small. The sizes are weird and I am normally a 0 or 2 and the dress was just way too small. I could not fit in it.

The dress is definitely made for tall girls, I'm 5'8" and needed to wear pretty high heels. The dress sizes are European so be careful what size you order (I'm usually a 4 and ordered a 8R and it fit perfectly!) I didn't need to wear a bra with this as the fabric was thick enough not to show any chilly nipples and kept the ladies in place (although you may need to wear one if you are bigger than a C). It is a gorgeous dress, it flows beautifully and very comfortable to wear!

This dress is uber elegant. It's also really easy to wear as you don't need special undergarments. The waist fits snug and then the top is blousy-ish so I can imagine it might be a strange fit for some on top. The bottom however is very flowing and would probably be an easy fit for most.

Beware this dress is in European sizes first. I normally wear about a 4. I wore a 10 in this dress, but wish I had the 8. The material and print is gorgeous. The neckline is a bit deep and I had to pin it to keep from showing my bra. Otherwise a lovely dress.

This was a terrific dress and very floaty It was the right length, but my goodness this ran SO small. I got it up over my hips, but could not for the life of me do the zip up over my ribcage. And I am not even that big up top! If I were to order this again I'd go for the 10 or even 12, but is worth it as it's a lovely dress. Definitely chat with the stylist to get the right size for this one!

I ordered a 4 and could not zip. Nor could my friend who is a size 2.

This dress is pretty but not for a formal affair. I got the 16L I usually wear a 12 in dresses and I am 5'9. The dress seemed short even though I got the long, I don't think I could have worn heels if I decided to wear the dress. The print is gorgeous and the fabric is lovely but just didn't work for a black tie event.

Beautiful dress. Gorgeous material. Be warned that it is in UK sizes. I'm a size 6 in US sizes and usually wear a size 10 in UK sizes. I tried an 8R which was perfect up top, but very tight around the waist. The 10R fit perfectly around my waist but there was too much loose material around my chest and it offered very little support. The description says that you can wear a strapless bra with it, however my bra showed around the sides. I didn't end up wearing the dress however, with some safety pins to pin up and in the material at the back/nape of the neck, the 10R would have worked I think. It really is so beautiful.

Pretty dress, but overwhelming on a smaller person.

This is an absolutely gorgeous dress. Unfortunately, I couldn't wear it. I've rented many, many dresses from this site and am pretty much always a 10 or an 8 - sometimes a 6, sometimes a 12. The 10R was not even remotely close to fitting me. I do have a large rib cage, and not only would it not zip, but the chest was HUGE - so even if it had fit, I would have needed to use quite a lot of fashion tape. And, regardless of the "R" sizing, at 5'4 this was so long that it dragged on the ground. Meant for more model-like proportions. If you've got them, go for it - but if not, I'd avoid.

this was too large in the bust area.

VERY tiny in the waist. I'm usually a size 6 and rented a size 6 but could not get it zipped over the waist. I think I would have needed to go up 2 sizes (or remove a couple ribs) in order to get it zipped. My friends tried to convince me to wear it hooked a the top and unzipped down to the waist, but I thought it looked silly. Very disappointing, will not rent this designer again.

I didn't actually wear it - the dress was my back up and it ended up not fitting anyway. The base layer was really tight on my legs.
