Wore this dress for an evening, winter wedding. It runs true to size. Gave off more funeral than wedding vibes but I still liked it. I’m between a 6 and an 8 and the 6 was perfect.

The dress looked great, just wish there had been a little more room in the bust.

Just enough flow and sparkle to make this a great go to dress for that special occasion. Dress runs small and does not have much give so size up for your back up. I had to wear the 8 because the 10 was unavailable but it worked. Loved the sleeves.

Fit perfect. I went a size down based on reviews and I was not disappointed. I loved that it was not tight around my middle. Great for the gala we attended and super easy to dance in. I didn't wear a bra, it would have been too tight in the bust. Elegant and fun dress!

This is my first time using RTR - I ordered 2 dresses for a formal wedding in the 1920s theme - I ended up using this one for 2 holiday parties I had the day before the wedding as it was my backup dress, and my other dress was a better fit of the wedding. The size 4 was a little tight around the chest and arm, but it wasn't too bad. I wore this dress to 2 events on 1 night! The 1st was my husband's work holiday party - I got so many compliments! People said it was so elegant. The 2nd was my work holiday party - younger crowd - there was much dancing and the dress was very comfortable and airy to move around in, perhaps a little too elegant for the 2nd party, but I was so glad to be comfortable. I loved it!

This is a beautiful dress, perfect for cocktail events. For me, it was a bit tight in the bust area but fit well everywhere else. A great rental!

Wish it was more fitted, and of course had pockets. Otherwise it was great! Very pretty.

This dress was great for Christmas Eve with the family. The fabric is not very forgiving, so beware of snugly-fitting shoulders. The sleeves are loose and comfortable, and the allover lace has just the right amount of sparkle.

This dress runs large, so I would recommend going a size down in back up! The detailing is really unique and great for that subtle edge. The dress fit was very comfortable and you can wear a standard bra! I would definitely rent this in my true size if it was available!

I wore size 8 dress - did not try on the size 4 back-up. I have broad shoulders - Tightest spot was armpits. I felt age appropriate & ideal level of flashy-fun.

Dress was beautiful, received many compliments. It was a little snug in the upper arms and chest but not uncomfortable ordered a 4 and 6. Had to wear the 6.

This was my first RTR and I was very happy with the look, fit and overall experience. I was a little nervous because all the reviews I read were from younger women and I didn’t want to look like I was trying to “rewind” time. I’m 57 and I received lots of compliments and felt really good about the way I looked.

This dress was perfect for a day date to the theatre. It was comfortable and didn’t bunch anywhere, the material in the arms has zero stretch and I could not take it off without help even though it was plenty big.

Lace arms were just a touch snug but I could still move my arms easily and it wasn't an issue when dancing. Otherwise the dress was a perfect fit. I felt comfortable in it all night

This was my first RTR experience. I needed a cocktail dress for a Las Vegas 40th birthday party. I sent my first choice back because of the poor fit. RTR sent me my second choice the following day. I was concerned that they only had a size 2 and that it would be too small. It was a little snug but it fit me and it was very comfortable the entire evening. In fact, many of my friends changed into more comfortable clothes later in the evening, however, I chose to leave my on because I was so comfortable in it. I was very pleased with my RTR experience.

I usually wear an 8, but this was a little tight in the bust. As usual with rent the runway dresses, I got plenty of compliments! I wore it with tights and ankle boots. Will rent this one again!

Fit tighter around breast area but not tight anywhere else. It wasn't short, perfect length and you can wear a normal bra and it doesn't show. The material isn't thick but isn't thin - its perfect for colder or warmer weather occasions!

Perfect for the event. A bit on the conservative side, which was perfect for what I needed it for. I wear between a 6-8 depending on the dress, I could have probably have worn a 6 but the 8 was fine. It's loose fitting, nicely lined and very comfortable. It lends itself nicely to a wide variety of accessories, easy to dress up.

I got this dress for dinner out for my 31st birthday. I'm still losing baby weight and wanted something that covered my arms (November birthday!), wasn't low cut, and wasn't too short. The dress arrived as I was walking out the door (my fault for poor planning). I put it on and felt like the dress aged me (not what you want on your birthday!), but quick thinking and I added a belt to it to make it super flirty and fun. LOVED the dress and got lots of compliments from everyone, including the tables around us (we had some fun...). Fit true to size and was comfortable to wear for an extended evening.

The fit was perfect for me but if one has large breasts, it could be snug.

I wore this to a fall wedding which it was perfect for because of the sleeves. I am 5 months pregnant and this dress fit perfectly and was very comfortable.

I usually wear a 6 but the 4 was perfect. Beading was amazing and a great length.

The arms were a little tight getting in to but once the dress was on the sleeves were fine. Loved how the skirt left a lot of room for my hips. I really liked this but the sleeves were a little itchy by the end of the night.

I rented this dress for my birthday to wear to work and out for a date. The sleeves were my favorite thing about this dress. I'm very tall so the dress was short, but not too short for work which I also liked. It is very comfortable and I paired it with a belt which I saw a lot of other girls do. I got lots of compliments on it and would wear it again. The only thing is that because it is all black it doesn't stand out as much as a dress with color might.

Gorgeous detail on this dress. My arms and shoulders made for a really tight fit. I wore it but feared one wrong move and I would tear the sleeves. Perfect length for my long legs, and the overall feel was great. Next time, I would size up.

Consistent with other reviews, I found the dress to be a bit tight in the bust (and I wouldn't consider myself particularly blessed in that area!) and arms, but it fit well everywhere else. My back-up size (10) wasn't available, so I wore the 8, and it turned out to be fine (and really not all that uncomfortable). Lots of compliments at the event and on social media! Good length, beautiful details, and great price! A great option for lots of different events, especially as it gets cooler - nice to have sleeves and not have to wear anything over the dress. Would recommend others rent this one for sure!

The dress was true to size and was very comfortable! Similar to what other people had posted, it looked better with a belt to give the waist some definition, as it was quite flowy. The only downside was that the sleeves cut right into my armpit so they were a bit raw after wearing it for a few hours. Otherwise, completely lovely and received many compliments!

I rented this dress for my grad school graduation. It was exactly what I needed- something the color of black, flattering, and conservative. Overall this is a lovely dress, and there is a lot of little details that make it unique. I found it runs mainly true to size, but maybe on the side of a little large. I would size down as your back up.
