Rented this for the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Loved that this hinted at a menswear/tux aesthetic but in a simple, well made dress. At first I wasn't so sure about the neckline, it definitely was different than I expected. I decided to go with it, and I'm glad I did, I got a lot of compliments throughout the night. Definitely recommend getting a larger back up size, there's not much give to the fabric, which is nice because it will hold you in, but won't stretch to accommodate much beyond its dimensions. In case you're wondering- that's Bill Nye in the photo- this was the only good photo I had of the evening that showed the whole dress- haha!

The little details are what elevate this dress. Raw edges on a substantial fabric, the overlapped skirt to bodice seam, and the striking white collar set this dress apart. The pockets are a great, hidden feature. I found this dress to run a bit large. I could have gone down to a size smaller.

Fits really well and has a flattering shape. The only risk is with the white collar you could get foundation on it, so be careful.

Fit true to size; great for work and to go out after work! The neckline is a bit weird, but it wasn't a deal breaker for me.

Like other reviewers stated, this dress runs tight on the chest. If you're larger chested, I would size up or not rent this dress. Besides that, it fits true to size. This dress is very flattering on tv/pictures.

Perfect for work. Was still very professional without being the traditional tight pencil skirt bottom. Chest was a little tight on me and the white was more of a dull grey by the time I rented but still a great look

As an earlier review states, it's the little details that make this dress so special--the neckline above all. I needed a sleek, professional look for an important presentation at an academic conference and this was it. The dress feels so elegant on and has just enough of the "unusual" to feel stylish yet still understated. And the pockets are a huge plus; great way to avoid nervous hand fidgeting. As for fit, even though I have a fairly large bust and wide ribcage, I was able to zip up no problem. I wish I could justify buying this dress, I love it so much!

Gorgeous dress with incredible details you can't see in the pics. The seems are roughly sewn on purpose and add an elegant edge to the dress. One of my favorite dresses

I loved the fit. Fitted on top and then flared on the bottom. Made me feel professional yet feminine. Loved the white contrast and the material was nice and heavy.

Super comfortable and flattering. For a basic dress, I got a LOT of compliments. I wore it with tights and heeled books to work and then a charity event after. Would recommend. Only issue and I couldn't tell if it was intentional or overworn (could have been either, still looked great) the edges were slightly frayed. Still looked formal and nice.

i've never worn a size 4 with rtr (normally 6 or 8) but this dress runs huge. so cute though. got so many compliments.

Looks really short in pics but at 5'7" was modest enough for a conservative work environment. Fits really well throughout. Not obvious in pics but all edges are rough with a little bit of a fringed edge.

The fit was pretty good, kind of big and would have been more fierce were it a bit more fitted. However, loved the dress.

This dress has become my go to interview dress. It's classic yet bold and graphic. The fabric is thick with stretch. Makes an hourglass shape (which I naturally don't have).

Rented it for a charity luncheon. The torso seemed a little short on me, but the fit was fine otherwise. I'm between a 4 and a 6. I rented both the 42 and 40 and chose the 42.

Rented this dress to wear to work and it's great! Loved the unique neckline and it is incredibly slimming because of the distinction between the white and black at the waist. Will definitely rent again

get this dress, don't hesitate. i'm typically a 4, but i thought this designer wld run small so got the 6, def shldve just went w a 4. highly highly recommend this ultra stylish dress, the white stripe in the front is striking and still professional. hit right above the knee. great great dress.

This dress is completely fabulous! I highly recommend it. It fits like a glove. The fabric is thick and feels very well built, made me feel so elegant and classic. I love everything about thus dress. The length is perfect, true to image, and the neckline is surprisingly more elegant than the photos show. I would definitely rent this again.

The dress fit really well, and was very flattering. The fabric was very nice and laid well on my body. The fabric rubbed my arms raw a bit, but I was also working so was moving around more than a normal cocktail party.

Wore this dress for my office holiday party. I received so many compliments. The collar structure is unique and I loved the pockets. The material is thick, which I liked. It was. flattering in my body type. I would have given this dress 5 stars if the white front collar wasn’t so dindgy. The color looked a bit more light kind of gray/ off white, instead of white.

I loved this dress so much - the fit is fabulous, the pockets awesome, and the material thick and quality. However I didn't end up wearing the one I got because the dress I received was super worn and looked dingy and old (and smelled slightly). I'm very disappointed but obviously people loved this dress so much that it's gotten a ton of use.

It was a thick material (good for aircon or spring weather), well made and constructed dress. The edges are raw. The "white" part of the dress isn't really white. It's more like a tired light gray which I was disappointed in but since the dress was so well made, I still think it was very flattering on me. I wore it to work and then an after work networking event. There is no stretch in the material though so if you're a half size you should get the next size up.

Very cute dress - the white part in the center is more greyish in person. Also, the edges are raw hem so there are strings hanging of it. If you're going for a more polished look, this may not be for you. Otherwise, the dress fits very well, snug in the bodice, but very comfortable. The fabric is quite thick so you do not see undergarment lines.

Really well made dress. Unfortunately, my torso wasn't long enough so the top of the white panels hit my neck in a weird place.

This dress is beautiful and I really wanted to wear it to my cousin's wedding but it didn't fit me in the bust. I ordered the 10 and while it did zip and fit over my 34DDD bust, I felt like it looked so odd. Like my chest was protruding forward and had nowhere to go inside of the top. I may try to get the size 12 but I fear it will be too big in the waist.

I think that this dress would look better on a petite or athletic frame. On my frame, the structure of the dress just made me look bigger. I found the torso of the dress to be very long (although I do have a short torso) but so much so that the dress rumpled up around my waist instead of laying flat to my body.

Beautiful dress but wide open slit down to the waist. Requires safety pin or tape to keep it closed if you do not want your bra to be visible

Very dramatic cut. Fabric is like curtains. Too out of the box for work.

I never wore this as it was not flattering and the fit was strange.
