Sometimes, a girl needs to channel Megan Draper. For no reason. The whole day!
This two-piece ensemble -- a spaghetti-strap dress under an asymmetrical jacket -- could flatter almost any size because of its adjustability. I am tall. Short skirts can look like belts on me, but the under dress could be pulled up or down, allowing me to stay in a respectable range of shortness. I wore it New Year's Eve at my job at a senior center, where we had a special dance in the afternoon. The security guard, a polite and quiet man, shouted "Times Square!" when he saw me. I wore a loose jacket to keep things respectable and flesh fishnets because it was New Year's Eve. The tights really made a cool contrast to the zig zag pattern. After work, for a night-time party in my apartment building, I removed the jacket and showed off my 40-year-old guns for 2015. Some people wore jeans. Others wore cocktail dresses. I hit that perfect in-between balance. This is a special dress, well made and designed. I got it last minute for a $20 New Year's Eve deal. I hope other people give it a whirl. It may not get a lot of wearing with RTR because it isn't flashy, but it does make a statement for a casual or more elegant engagement. I felt comfortable and sexy, mature and confident. However, the under dress is very stretched out. I suspect it must hang from a hanger for long periods of time. The bodice sank below my bra, which meant I needed to make the straps shorter by clasping them with a barrette. I used safety pins to keep the straps from showing and the jacket under control. I suggest pinning this dress with a funky gold broach, if you have one, instead of safety pins. Gold looks beautiful against the green and brown.

Love this dress - super comfortable and very flattering. Had to figure out how to wear the front and although I did not wear it the way the model did - it looked great. Also the skirt is snug in a classy sexy way.

Fun fabric, odd shaping
i wanted to love this dress, but it didn't quite hit the mark. I really liked the fabric it's soft, and comfortable, not at all stiff as the photo suggests it might be; its a true knit. The colors are vibrant, but not in-your-face bright. The skirt I would say is a true 6 (my dress size is 4-6, depending on whether or not it fits in the hips). I really liked the skirt, but it was also a bit odd. In stead of having a sturdy waste band, it had an attached cami. That in and of itself isn't bad, but the straps were so long that the top of it hung below my bra line. Not, I think, what it was supposed to accomplish. I did manage to pin it, but it was still weird, and an unnecessary addition. The top was fun, and a little on the larger side, but it's not really supposed to be fitted. It took a while to figure out how to wear it, as there is a clasp/toggle on the left shoulder, but nothing clearly defined on the right to create the wrap look. I finally found a little hidden button on the right, but it took a keen eye and lots of patience to find the loop on the opposite corner that is supposed to attach to the button. All in all I generally enjoyed the outfit, but I wouldn't get it again.
