I usually wear a 2 or 4. So ordered both sizes and ended up wearing the 2 for a tighter fit. Can't remember if it was 38, 40, or whatever so just picked whatever. Pro: comfortable, great fit, sexy slit, conservative but sexy Wore this to a formal college military awards ceremony where most girls wore prom-style dresses. This was definitely a more suitable dress for the occasion. Got a lot of compliments and lingering glances. Wore a slim gold belt with gold accent earrings, and black pumps. Gave a very sleek, professional, yet fun look overall.

Wore this for a First Responders Gala. Color, cut, style were perfect. Tons of compliments.

This dress fit perfectly. I received so many compliments on the dress and everyone was asking me where I got it from. I definitely stood out among all of the other ladies at my event which my date highly enjoyed. It was very comfortable and classy with a little sex appeal from the slit. I don't normally wear red but this color was perfect!

Make sure to order a size down! When I ordered I wanted the 4/6 however the 4 was sold out. The size was not as form fitting as it should have been so I pinned it inside. With that said, sexy and sophisticated dress. Wouldn't recommend for outdoor activities, thick material.

I wore the size 2, which fit like it was made for me. The length came just to my knees. the fabric is light and not too heavy, but does hide tummy pooch (I did not wear anything underneath except boyshorts). Take an iron with you, because this fabric wrinkles like crazy! I had to iron it when I opened the box too! Overall, would definitely recommend.

I LOVE this red hot dress! Make a statement in this sexy yet classy style. The fabric has some stretch making it very comfortable. The slit is the perfect length, showing enough leg without being too sexy. If you want to stand out in a crowd I would definitely rent this style!

Beautiful dress-- professional but still a bit sexy. The wool fabric was very comfortable in the summer humidity. As a runner it can be hard to find something that fits properly, but this fit really well. It's a bit of a darker red than it looks in the picture-- think more American Flag than Candy Apple. Loved it- hated to send it back!

This dress was exactly that I was hoping it would be. I was aiming to look classy yet a little sexy and I would say the mission was accomplished. It showed off my figure without showing off too much. The slit up the side was that extra oomph of sass and sex appeal in an otherwise classy dress. I felt very presidential in the dress and can't wait to order from RTR again!

Overall fit a little large, especially in the midsection, and the length was a little long on me (I'm 5'6") but the slit in the front prevented the dress from being too matronly. The color is gorgeous, I paired it with a sparkly necklace( as it is rather plain without), simple gold studs and black pumps.

This dress happened to be available for my event but would arrive the day of, but ended up coming a day early which was very convenient. It's true to size in which it fits perfectly around the bust but ran slightly larger, at least for me, around my waist. Lovely service from RTR and was very convenient to have for this event!

The top is fairly conservative, which worked well for me because I was attending a more professional function. I am small-busted (34AA), and the dress did wonders to enhance my bust! The dress was long enough (to the knee on me and I am 5'2") to be considered appropriate but SUPER sexy with the side slit. It was a definite hit!

This dress over all was beautiful and classy. It fit rather large on me and made me a little uncomfortable all night because of this. This dress would be great for a formal dinner party/ event, a birthday party..it might be a little much!

Good fit; hugged in all the right areas. The slit is sexy but not too deep, and the neckline showed the right amount of cleavage (I was at a coworker's wedding, so overall, modesty was pretty important). My date liked it!

Fits a little big in the waist.

Like many other reviewers, I found the fit to be quite strange. The top was huge (I mean huge) and the bottom was tight. The next size down wasn't available for the dates needed, but even if I'd gotten it smaller in order to make the top fit, the bottom half would have been way too small. It might work on someone with no hips at all and a very large chest. I wore a padded pushup bra, and it was still gapping pretty badly. I also had to keep pulling it down all night, because the bottom half constantly rode up. As my event was out of town, I wore it because I had no other options at the time. The color is great and the thigh slit is super sexy, I just wish it had fit. Paired with white and black heels, a vintage floral purse, and black pearls.

I was so sad to pack this dress up and send it back. It's definitely a dress to remember. If you have curves, it will enhance everything you have...I normally wear size S and 6 in regular clothes but an 8 in a dress so I was a little shocked when the 44(6) fit a little big but still very sexy. I am 5'4 but a little closer to 5'5 and it hit right at the knee maybe a little below. The slit was super flattering and that went up to maybe mid-thigh. I will definitely be renting this beauty again.

The slit is really sexy but is balanced by a more classic silhouette. And the color is to die for! Perfect against pale skin, although it would go great with a tan as well.

Great dress. Could have fit into the 38 but would have looked too tight so went with 40 and its perfect. Got lots of compliments. It's sophisticated and conservative enough but the slit offered a bit of sex appeal.

The slit is very high when you slit down, but looks cute when standing.

I wore the size 2 and I am a 32DDD, surprisingly the dress ran large in the top. That or else it was stretched out from being worn several times. It fit well everywhere else. The dress as a whole was knee length, which is a little longer than I prefer, however the slit was very high and added just the right amount of sexy. It looked great.

I loved the dress. I ordered my true size, and one smaller as well. I should have worn my true size rather than the smaller one. It was a little snug around my bottom, especially when sitting down (I do have a pretty big booty though). The slit came up a little too high for me when sitting, but I just covered it with my napkin for dinner. It would also get a little tight if I moved my arms up over my head, but that didn't stop me from dancing! Overall had a great time and the dress looked great, just may have been a little more comfortable if I had worn the 44 over the 42. Also, i remember being worried that it would be too clingy around my waist, (which is hard too determine looking at the size 0 model in the picture ha). But anyway, it wasn't clingy at all! The material is a little thicker (good for fall wedding) and gave just enough room that i didn't even look bloated after dinner.

The dress fit was okay but the length was longer than I expected. It hit well below my knees. My biggest complaint was that the picture doesn't show the true texture of the dress. Make sure you notice that it is 98% wool because I didn't. I ordered it for a summer wedding but could not wear it because it would be so hot. I would rent it again in the winter if only it was a little shorter. It is more conservative than how it looks in the model's picture.

Did not end up wearing it as it was too big on top. The rest fit perfectly but it was too baggy in the shoulder, chest and waist areas.

You can wear a normal bra with this dress which is a major plus. It is not form-fitting so it doesn't cling to every bump and bulge. I would have liked to have known how thick this material was as I would not have worn it for a late summer wedding. This heavy fabric would be better suited for a cold weather event.

This dress runs immensely large. I put it on and could grab a good 5 inches of fabric on my side. In addition the slit runs dangerously high to the point of inappropriate in me. Got this with unlimited and sadly it went right back into the return bag.

I have a more sizable butt than i do my top half and my legs are skinny, so it made the the bottom very tight around my butt but then my legs looked like they were coming out of a bell! i tried the size up but it was way too loose around my shoulders and torso

The dress was a gorgeous red color and made of a great fabric that felt really high end. I didn't end up wearing the dress because it runs quite big. I ordered the 46 and it was WAY too big and I think even the 44 would be too big. The other issue was the length. It is much longer than it looks on the model. It fell about 3 inches below my knee and looked very matronly. Even with the fashion tape it still looked awkward. This dress is for tall girls for sure.

I am very petite but generally with euro sizing a 38 fits me well. This looked like I was a little kid playing dress up. Gorgeous material and color but you definitely need to have more curves to pull it off

This dress wasn't my favorite. It felt like I was going to a political event and ran very, very large.

There was a comment about this dress being "matronly"... I would have to say I now agree! The structure, length, and material give it this label.
