This was a back up dress. And it turned out to be one of the best dresses I've ever worn. The color was perfect for a November wedding and looked great on my tan, post-honeymoon skin. The fit made me look like a million bucks and it was very comfortable on the dance floor. Only complaint is that I don't own it!!

I arrived after a transatlantic flight and knew I was going to need something bright and energetic. It's an excellently crafted dress of strong ruched shimmery orange fabric and was the perfect choice! I paired it with cream colored pearls with sparkly beads and cream colored shoes to balance the vibrant orange.

I had read a number of the review and many stated that the dress ran small. I do not agree. I thought this dress fit true to size. The only "baggy" part on the dress were the shoulder straps but they were not an issue. I would rent this style of dress again and again and again!

Such a great dress! i second the commenter who pointed out that it looks a little bridesmaid-y. But still a fun color that got lots of compliments. Color is a true, California-poppy orange -- not UT burnt orange, not coral. For the zipper, I had the best luck doing it myself. I had the dress twisted around so that I could zip up the front, then snipped my arms through the sleeves. (So glamorous.) The dress did nothing particularly helpful in terms of giving an illusion of a defined waist. And I probably only had an inch more room in the hips. If you have a really straight figure and want something to make you look curvier, this probably isn't it. I liked it anyway because of the color and the cute folds in the bodice. I also want to plug the great customer service at RTR. They were so helpful with an original choice that turned out to not be available. I got voicemail and email notification about the issue, and my email reply was addressed practically immediately. They are great!

Usually a size 4, size 40 fit a little snug on the hips, glad I went with the 42 I was comfortable all though out the event. The dress did hit me below the knee, like some have commented, but I didn't mind the length. The color is great, not as shiny in person but pictures really well.

Color was very flattering and the fit was perfect (just the right amount of curve). I wore with blue accents (necklace and shoes) and it really made a statement.

Lovely dress, I received many compliments. The color went well with my skin tone. I accessorized with a belt to give a little more flavor. Can't wait to rent them yellow next summer for a wedding.

I ordered the 40 & 42 (size 4 & 6), the 42 was a bit looser than I wanted, but the 40 too tight on my midsection. I went with the 42, felt comfortable and fabulous all night. Loved the dress.

I would definitely suggest wearing spanks no matter how tiny you may be. This is a very form fitting dress, but looked stunning!

The fit was great, I wore a size 8. It was comfortable all night long and the color was sensational! I have rented RTR dresses three other times and this was the first time I wore the 8 instead of the 10.

Ordered this dress during my pregnancy haze for a wedding two months post-partum. I was very nervous but luckily i dropped the weight and this dress looked great! I'm usually a size 10 but wore the size 8 equivalent and probably could have event gone down one size more. The straps were a bit big as other people said so i had to wear it with a strapless bra. I was expecting a pit more of a gold dress but this was definetely orange. Great dress for a tall girl, it came down to my mid-knee and I am 5'10". I rated it a four because the dress did wrinkle very easily and it smelled weird when it arrived.

Fit like a glove and highlighted curves in a classy way. I will say it made me look like I have a tummy pooch that doesn't actually exist, and the shoulder straps slipped a few times. I still loved the dress. It was comfortable to dance in all night, and I'd absolutely rent and wear it again.

The only problem with this dress is the same problem other women had- the straps are WAY too long. They bagged up over the shoulders. Lucky for me, I am a wicked good seamstress, and I placed some very small stitches at the tops of the shoulders which effectively removed about 2 inches of length from each strap. This made it perfect. I wore purple crocodile pattern peep toe shoes and purple and gold jewelry and a purple clutch, and I loved the comments I got about my "bold" look! :)

Really loved the fit of this dress. The orange was also a beautiful color for an fall wedding. The only problem was it arrived a little wrinkly. Although I was able to get them out with my steamer, you can see in the picture it wrinkled by the time the ceremony was over. All-in-all it was a very flattering dress.

The first time I ordered, I overestimated the italian sizing, and ordered two dresses (44 and 46) that were way too big. Panicked, as the wedding was now a day away, I sent the dresses back and resorted to wearing one I've worn to 100 weddings before, but Serena from RTR saved the day by over-nighting me the 42. This size fit pretty well; it was a little loose in the strap area, but everywhere else, from the chest down was a perfect fit. I got a bunch of compliments on the dress all throughout the night, and was happy to share my little RTR secret. Thanks again, Serena and RTR for making my first dress renting a great experience.

This dress pulled in lots of compliments when I wore it to my cousin's fancy, summer wedding. During the wedding ceremony one of my fellow readers commented "That's a really great dress." I thought he was talking about the bride, but actually meant mine! Overall a great classy dress given the length, but also with an edge to it given its bright color. There was some confusion with the size I ordered as a size 6 was listed as a European size 42 on the Website, but when it arrived the European size 42 was a size 8 on the tag, which seemed to be it's true size. The RTR staff worked with me to make this okay. I also found the back straps slid off a little, but it might have been because it was slightly big on me. I wore it with big gold earrings and nude pumps - wish this was a permanent piece in my closet!

I was really nervous about this dress because I'm kinda "busty" and there is NO stretch in this dress. So, I ordered the 38 (knowing that it would fit best) and the 40 for my girls. The 40 fit ok, but it was loose in some areas, so I went with the 38 and it fit perfectly -even though my girls were a bit smushed (The pix don't do it any justice). If you're small like I am, but have DD's I would recommend wearing a size up. You'll be more comfortable. Anyway, the color was incredibly flattering and thankfully so, because it was my mom's wedding and she really wanted me to wear some kind of orange. I really liked the length and the fit around my waistline. I could dance with no problem and didn't worry about it riding up like stretchy dresses tend to do. I would've given it 5 stars, but the zipper at the rouched part is REALLY hard to get up AND down -and that was on BOTH sizes. Other than that, it was another RTR hit for me! :-)

Loved the color of the dress and it looked great, but I'm 5'5" & it was way too long for me. I used the hem tape though & it looked perfect! Got lots of compliments on the dress, but you do need to size up one size. Also, very comfortable, great dress to rent, but be careful of the length.

This dress was absolutely perfect for a wedding. It was a little hard to zip up the side (near the ribs), maybe the zipper was stuck.It was also hard to zip while on the hanger. It took my boyfriend's and my total of four hands to zip it. The slit up the back wasn't too high, but I did feel a little uncomfortable when dancing those silly wedding songs. I got compliments throughout the night, and I loved this dress.

I rented this for my friend's spring-time wedding. It's a gorgeous dress, the color is different and stunning (make sure you love orange! ;)), and the fit was perfect on me after I got the 'right' one. This was my first time renting from Rent the Runway. Originally I ordered the yellow version of this dress, and could only get the 38 with no back up 2nd size because the 40 was already booked. I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best...but unfortunately it just would not zip up around my bust/rib cage (and I am by no means busty). My mom tried, I tried...just would not close. The gap was too wide, plus the thick, ruched fabric did not help. However, customer service was AWESOME. The nice lady I spoke to overnighted the orange version of the dress, in both 38 and 40 to the hotel I was staying at out of town. The 38 in the orange ended up fitting perfectly, while the 40 was a little too baggy. Weird, but sometimes the same dresses in the same size do fit just a hair differently. Anyway, it worked out just fine at the end, and I got loads of compliments all night long! Thanks Rent the Runway!!!

Had issues with the zipper on the size 44 so my boyfriend helped me put the dress on over my head and down. The 46 was way too big so I was really stuck with the 44, I couldn't wear a bra with it I'm a size 36ddd. It was tight enough in the bust area to get away with it.

I am a red-head with pale skin, and was not sure if I could wear this color. But it is incredibly beautiful. Seriously, it stopped traffic in the streets! The pictures do not do this lovely color - a very warm pumpkin with ruby undertones - proper justice. Also, although it doesn't look very impressive on the hanger, wait until you try it on! The silk fabric is also skillfully sewn to make the best of your shape. Nicely fitted at the waist. Can't wait to rent again!

What a stunning dress. I wore this to a September wedding and got so many compliments. Before I get to the dress, let me also plug the amazing customer service at RTR. I ordered this dress in a 40 and 42 and, much to my dismay, the 42 was too small! I emailed customer service that night and told them that neither dress had fit and if there were any options for me to exchange a size. The only problem was that I was in NY and I was hopping on a flight to CA the next morning WAY before customer service would be open. When I got off the plane in CA, I had an email back from RTR letting me know that they could overnight me another size or style to the hotel I was staying at in CA. Because the dress was so tight when I tried it on, I ordered a 46 and it arrived the next morning at the hotel (amazing!). The lady that helped me was extremely nice and accommodating; I was really impressed (and grateful). Now, back to the dress. You'll note that in the "size worn" field it says that I wore the 42. Apparently I can't read when I'm super tired and I had originally tried on the 40, thinking it was the 42. The 46 was way too big, but once I realized my mistake and tried on the 42 I was in dress heaven. The entire dress is very fitted, but I actually had plenty of breathing/sitting room in both the bust and the hips (despite having larger hips). The side zipper was a little difficult to navigate with it being so fitted (you might need an extra set of hands), but the overall look was stunning. The orange color is a beautiful shade; I was a little hesitant because I am extremely fair skinned, but it ended up working out great. There is a little bit of a sheen to the dress, so it's a much more vibrant color than how it looks on the website photo.

This fit true to size - was a bit snug in the thigh area but was workable.

Beautiful apricot color, great fabric. Pleating at midsection is very flattering. I'm a bit short-waisted and found the straps long, but do-able. You'll need a low-cut demi-bra to keep from showing under the wide square neck. Was lovely for an outdoor wedding. Sorry no photo!

Loved the color and the shape of this dress. I was a little nervous when I first put it on because while the body fit perfectly the straps were a little loose. I'm not tall and I don't have a long torso, so I guess it was meant for someone a bit longer than I am. However, with some time it settled and I had a blast in it and was perfectly comfortable!

I had this dress overnighted when my original dress order didn't fit well. The customer service was awesome, but unfortunately this one was just too big :/ Very pretty and elegant, but I also agree with some of the other reviewers that it has a bridesmaid look to it.

The dress runs big, especially on top. I usually wear a 46. The folds on the bodice are a little hard to fix. The size 44 had some of the folds tacked. It's a good thing that it was dark, because it looked like they were badly repaired. The overall color & fit was fantastic. . The dress was made to hug every curve!

I didn't end up wearing this dress, but it is a beautiful, very flattering material. It's thick so even though the fit is intended to be snug, the material hides your imperfections. I will say that this color is not the most flattering on very fair skin - but that is a very individual preference.

The cut of this dress was very flattering, but still I chose not to wear it. The size 38 (2) fit perfectly but I couldn't zip up the last 2-1/2 inches on the side of the ruched bodice by myself and I had plenty of room. The size 40 (4) was too large but still I had a problem zipping the bodice with a gaping opening Others have had a similar issue. I would've worn the 38 had the logistics of my event allowed someone with time and patience to help me zip up! I've worn Italian sizing before and know that the upper torso runs small, but I can wear a 38, so I think the ruching and fabric around the zipper are the issue. Also, the fabric is a matte cotton and wasn't as finished or formal as I would've wanted for my event. Still, I will definitely try to rent this dress in this color or the yellow for a more informal occasion when I have backup help!

I could not get it zipped because of my chest and I am not big at all (34B) It fit great everywhere else!

I rented the 38 and 40 and ended up wearing the 40. *Overall, the fit was a little off for me. It was tight all around but a little big in the chest area. Probably would have fit someone a little bustier. *The material isn't stretchy so it's not a very forgiving dress. It will show every curve. *At 5'2" the length was fine and hit just around knees.

I was unable to wear this dress due to the fit. I am very narrow and small chested. The hip area fit well but the top part was too big. If you wear a 32 B bra you might have problems getting the top portion to fit

I got this dress for a wedding because I loved the cut and color. Unfortunately the small was too tight on my chest and the larger size swallowed my small frame.

I'm a standard 4, hourglass shape and this dress was not flattering. The color is great but the top fit oddly. RtR customer service was very responsive however and is over-nighting some backup dresses for me, no charge!
