I rented this for a work charity auction. I was in charge of raffle sales. I wanted something gorgeous and eye-catching but still modest. This dress fit the bill perfectly! I felt great in the dress and the fit was very comfortable. The skirt did not ride up too much when I sat down. At a few points during the night the neck-line of the dress came up an inch or so, but I just casually adjusted the fit/pulled it down and it was fine. It did not interfere with my enjoyment of the dress at all.

Great fabric, very forgiving. The only thing I didn't like was the neckline. It seemed to creep up a little higher than expected. The slit wasn't that revealing as it seems in the picture. The color was a vibrant red and looked great on. U feel like this would look great on just about every figure!

The fabric was thicker on this dress and the rusching at the stomach was a great way to hide a little belly. Conservative yet sexy. Fit well in the chest though anyone bigger may have issues.

Wore this for a date night and my husband loved it. It was so easy to wear -- vibrant true red color, flattering shape, super comfortable, and needed very little in the way of accessories. The slit was very much on the side (not on the front like it is on the model) and was perfect for keeping the dress from being too business-like. The fabric is heavy, so it is perfect for cooler weather. My measurements are about 33"/27.5"/37". The size 38 wasn't available, so I wore the 40 and it fit fine (but I think the 38 would have been perfect). This dress may not be a good choice for larger-chested ladies, as it was snug-ish across my small bust. Overall I adored it and was sad to send it back!

Wore to formal Christmas dinner. Perfect fit. This dress is so well made and fits like a glove. Look forward to renting the blue one soon...

The 40 fit well but I wish the 38 would have been available because the dress was a little long since I am only 5'1". Otherwise, I am so happy I rented this dress for a wedding. The color was perfect because it was a Christmas time wedding. I felt beautiful wearing it and received tons of compliments!

Love Love Love this dress. I had the 44 as my main size but it was unavailable at the last minute. RTR was great about getting me a backup dress just incase the 42 didn't fit but there was no need. With a good pair of spanx the 42 was fine. Speaking of Spanx, know that the slit on this dress is HIGH. I had to keep an eye on it to make sure they didn't show while I was sitting. That's really the only complaint I have. It is a heavy material that was perfect for the crisp fall day but wouldn't be so fun if it were warmer out. I agree with everyone else that you'll definitely need a statement necklace with this dress. It's pretty plain otherwise. Overall, loved it and would recommend for all the upcoming holiday parties!

Mine fit like a glove, which was perfect. I love the way it gathers at the side to make it a bit more forgiving if you have any love handles or extra padding. The slit on the side is sexy and really makes the dress stand out. It was a very different dress for me to wear and I wish I could have kept it!

I got so many compliments on this dress!!!! I Highly recommend. I got a 38 and a 40. They both fit, but the slit in the 40 was more to the side and the 38's slit was perfectly in front of my left leg. So if your dress is fitting correctly the slit should be in place! LOVED! I can't wait to rent it again. SHOW STOPPER!

I got compliments on this dress all night long! I felt like true royalty. Very flattering, not uncomfortable in any way and great fit! Fabric a little stretchy so moved with the body. Conservative but very sexy!

This was my backup dress for a somewhat conservative event where I was going to be onstage to receive an award, so was very worried about how I'd look. I'm short (which makes a lot of standard fit dresses look ill-fitted on me) and recently put some weight on, so I was nervous about renting anything without trying it on first. This was a great dress. The material is a little heavy, so it might be too much for warm weather or summer events. The ruching is very forgiving, though I had to adjust from time to time throughout the night. I'm between a 10 and 12 right now, and the 10 fit nicely, hugged the (right) curves and minimized the wrong ones. Not too long on my 5'3" frame with heels, but I think it'd be too long on anyone shorter than me, especially since it's a lot of material. The side slit wasn't a problem on me (reference my short height) but would be a bit racy for anyone over 5'5--but a nice touch to make an otherwise conservative dress sexy without looking trampy. Received lots of compliments, definitely stood out in the right way in a room of black dresses, and was told by my mom (my toughest customer) that I should buy this dress.

I wore the dress to a Broadway opening. It was perfect for a sexy from work to party outfit. I have already re-rented it for another occasion! It wasn't difficult to get into. The neck is a little odd, but I just went with it. I paired it with my own gold necklace and earrings. Simple accessories make the dress stand out, and me in turn. It was the right length, fit and fabric. It doesn't feel "new." However, it doesn't look used. I simply loved it. I am 5'5" 122 lbs, not too much up top. There was definitely room in the dress for more boobs and a bigger tush.

I have wider shoulders and wider hips and I was very comfortable. The fabric is thick and keeps everything in one place ! I wore a regular bra and panties, no seam showed through . I was comfortable the whole night . My brother is in the picture with me, he said sis you look great. That made me feel great!

Loved the fabric and the cut of the dress. Actually had room in the hips but obviously not in the bust. Did not need spanx but even if I had the lines would not have shown. And yes the pic is in the bathroom

Received this dress as an emergency substitution for a totally different dress that was no longer available. It had been on my favorites list, and there's nothing like a red dress for your 40th birthday! Thick, stretchy fabric with ruching on the back of the dress in addition to the front hid all of my bumpy imperfections, and I was able to wear it with a normal pair of underwear and normal bra (no shapewear) without any lines visible. The sleeves were a touch tight but I have big arms. I'm 5'6" and the dress actually came down to just BELOW the knee (which looked amazing with open-toe black patent pumps); smaller sizes might be shorter. The slit at the left side didn't show, but was quite functional (allowing me to sit without discomfort). And a stranger grabbed me on my way to the restroom to compliment my dress. A definite winner! FYI, the earrings are Kate Spade (my own, but almost exact ones are available here on RTR) and the clutch is Lauren Merkin (my mystery bling, which was perfect).

Loved this dress! Got compliments on it all evening. Wanted something fun and sexy, yet respectful for a wedding where my son and I served as wedding greeters, and this dress fit the bill. The dress is a bit hard to get on, but once on is very flattering. I would describe my body type as "petite apple" - usually a 6 on top and 4 on bottom. This dress fit top and bottom nicely which was nice and the length was not too long for my 5'1" frame. Unlike the model image the slit is definitely on this side, not on the front of the dress. You will need a no line bra for this dress if you don't want your straps and undies showing - got a spanx seamless bra and their "undetectable" underwear and it worked out fine.

The stylist sent me this dress after my original choice (red Herve Leger) was not available. This dress ended up being even better. I wore this to a student award banquet for work. The fit is perfect (form hugging) and very easy to wear. The slit on the side is fabulous, but does run high on the leg when you sit down.

36 / 28 / 34 are my exact measurements. the 44 fit perfect, though I am busty (34 F) so the bust area was a bit snug and I had to go braless. The ruching is extremely complimentary to any body shape. I'm not super curvy and have more a boy shaped bottom but this dress gave me curves! It's warm (I live in Chicago) as it's made of a thicker material and perfect for the winter months. It's very comfortable and I would absolutely buy this dress if I could find available for sale!

I loved this dress. It was actually my backup dress, and I have to say a little thrilled the other one didn't work out. I got compliments all night. It was great for a wedding at a fancy country club, but wore it back at the local watering hole and it worked out just as well. The dress I found ran a tad smaller. The fabric was heavy, of good quality and a vibrant color of red. It hide a lot of flaw areas with the gathering on the side. Which was wonderful, I didn't even wear any spanx!

I rented this for NYE and absolutely loved it. I was spending NYE at a restaurant party, so I didn't want anything too revealing or sequiny but still wanted to be sexy and this dress fit the bill. The fit was body skimming with some give, I wonder if I could have even fit in a size smaller. The ruching was so flattering and that slit!! I felt so sexy all night! I'm 5'7", so the slit seemed to fit just like the model in the picture, but it is more to the side. It is a thicker material, so it kept me warm on the 15 degree night we had. Sad to return it, wished I owned it!

Loved this dress! I rented it for a dinner at a fancy restaurant - it was so comfortable & perfect for a chilly night. The material is thick & stretchy - sexy but classy. There is a slit up the side, but it's not obvious - just enough to give the dress a little oomph. The ruching makes the dress very figure-flattering. I wore this with black tights & boots - as well as the Tom Binns Seeing Neon bracelet. Would be perfect for a work event. Highly recommend!

Loved the color, loved the material, LOVED the slit. It's a thicker material which helped it be a little more forgiving, and the slit was on the side of my leg so I didn't feel like my business was out for the world to see. I shifted the dress over for the photo so you can see it. Definitely recommend this dress! Got a lot of compliments. Sorry for the picture, it was at the very end of the night.

Loved this dress. Very elegant beautiful, simple yet sexy at the same time (love the slit :). I think it will compliment your figure no mater what size you are. It is made of pretty thick fabric so perfect for fall weather.

The dress has a good amount of stretch so it's comfortable to wear and looks great. This is the perfect dress to wear to an important corporate event, presentation or interview. The slit pictured on the model is not as high in real life. For a good part of the day I paired this with a black blazer.

Dress is pretty tight and shows undergarments, but it was perfect for the occasion.

I rented this for Halloween and dressed up as Joan Holloway for a Mad Men themed party. It was perfect! Although, you could definitely wear it for many other occasions. The ruching is very flattering. The neck comes up a little high and felt awkward at first, like it was rubbing me in a spot I wasn't used to, hence the four star rating. I also felt it ran a little big. I was able to stuff my bra and my booty to look more like Joan and I still had ample room to spare thanks to the stretch of the fabric.

Fit small. Was still a little big. The size was much larger than I thought. Looked great regardless

I wore this for my boyfriends retirement ceremony after 22 years in the Marine Corps. I needed a dress that was going to be appropriate for such a momentous occasion and this dress did not disappoint. As everyone else has mentioned, the fabric on this is heavy and form fitting but very flattering. The slit is pretty high but not inappropriate (sitting down is tricky). I wore this in early May and the material and the sleeve length was perfect. I paired this with nude heels and the crystal cluster necklace that is worn in the picture with the dress. The color is very eye catching. If you need a red dress, this is the one to go with!

Pros: Stunning without being over the top. I wore this to a Gala held at my work and it was appropriate AND sexy. The draping covered all of my "problem" areas perfectly. Cons: Although it was an easy fix in the dryer, this dress STUNK when I received it. FYI: The dress fits true to size, but the sleeves are tight, so you might want to go a size up, if you have larger upper arms.

The dress ran true to size, the only complication was the zipper is on the side under the arm

I wore the dress on NYE to a gala dinner. It was perfect in that it was classy and formal. The top of the dress is not sown so it does get a little annoying when you're dancing but otherwise the dress was perfect! I am 5'8" 126lbs with a sort of a pear shape and the 40 fit the best.

This dress was actually my back up for a big company party with my boyfriend. The dress is great quality! It is very thick quality material and has a semi modest yet sexy feel. It was a very appropriate length and neckline to meet all of his co-workers in but the color mixed with red lipstick made all eyes on me. I was stopped several times and complimented! The dress was also very comfortable. It was tailored perfect to hide any imperfections around the mid section too (I actually felt like a could eat in it! haha!) I would rent this dress again in a heart beat. For a second size, I would suggest sizing down. I wore my regular size, but wish I had one size smaller so it would have been more form fitting and a tad shorter.

The dress fits true to size has a little stretch to it, I am full figured so I had a little trouble getting it on because it's a pull over with a side zipper, once on it was comfortable and flattering, I gave birth one month ago yet I still received many compliments. The slit fit me as high as the model but its more to the side. I would recommend this dress for curvy girls.

I usually go for more wild styles but I love red and this dress did not disappoint. The slit helped to make me feel less conservative although at times (ie when I caught the bouquet and had to sit on the chair in the middle of the dance floor) the slit did ride up my leg pretty high. Overall loved this dress though, would def recommend and such an amazing price. Think I will rent the cobalt version to a wedding in a few months!

This was a very comfortable dress! I will suggest that you put this dress on before you do your makeup and hair, because it is pretty tight to get into, and you wouldn't want to get your hair &makeup ruined putting this dress on. The slit is a nice sexy detail to the dress. The fabric is thicker than I anticipated. I would definitely rent this one again!

This dress was the perfect this event I was working: I needed it to maintain a business appropriate feel with a hint of flair - and it totally fit the bill. I felt incredible in it and received many compliments. I'm always concerned because I'm very petite but this dress would compliment both tall and vertically challenged women (like me). The ruche in the mid section will also hide any tummy issues. When I tried it on after it arrived, my husband actually cried because he said I looked so beautiful in it. (It was very hard to pack it away and send it back after that!) This dress gets a 10 out of 10!

Rented this cute number for my cousin's birthday party at a very upscale hotel in the Caribbean. I wanted something classy but sexy and this dress was it. This dress runs small so go up a size. I felt like the lady in red at the event. My only small complaint was the boat neck - it kept unfolding exposing the raw edge seam (if that makes sense) so I had to keep tucking it back in.

The rouching on the dress makes it very flattering. It's sexy, but still work appropriate. I'm 5'1 so it was very long on me, the side slit still looked very modest. The side slit may make this dress not work appropriate for taller women. The red color is beautiful and the quality of the material was top notch

This dress immediately demands the attention of everyone once you walk in the room. It fit perfectly however is was really hard to get off. Nonetheless, I loved it!
