I rented this dress for a Beatles-themed company party. Loved the 60s vibe without being a "costume." Note on the size - I'm normally a size 6 or 8. I was worried with the Italian sizing (I'm not good with knowing my measurements) and ordered the 44 and 42. I wore the 42 and the tag on the dress said US Size 8! I wish I would have known this as it would have taken stress out of ordering. I possibly could have worn a size smaller, but as others have noted, the arms are snug. Overall, very happy, but I want others to know 44 = 10 and 42 = 8.

The dress was perfect for Christmas Eve mass and parties afterwards. I paired it black tights and black ankle boots. It was very comfortable. I was a little worried about renting this dress at first because my hips are wider than my top (I'm petite, but still a little pear-shaped); however, the dress fit perfectly fine and the flare at the bottom was not at all overwhelming. I received so many compliments all night, and needless to say, I was sad to send this one back. I love anything that reminds me of Kate Middleton. I will be renting this dress again!

It is very fitted and made of a fabric that doesn't breath very well so I suggest wearing it in a cold environment.... U do sweat in it ...

I rented this dress last minute to go see Beautiful the Carole King story on broadway. It is such a classy dress and I felt that it transitioned easily from day to night. I got a bunch of compliments on the dress and wouldn't hesitate to rent it again.

This was perfect to wear to (conservative, business attire) work then out for a special dinner. Normally a size 6, I wore the 44 bc the 42 was unavailable, and it fit but was a bit baggy in the midsection, but still looked good and got tons of of compliments from both co-workers and people at dinner. I think I will rent it in white for my upcoming bridal shower as well

In love with this dress. I've already rented it twice. It has a classic British feel but with such a youthful edge. The dress is a mini length on a taller girl (hits mid-thigh) and the A-line cut is super flattering. I highly recommend renting. The only downside is the arms are fairly tight. If your arms are fatter, do NOT rent this dress.

I loved this dress! It is very easy and I felt very sophisticated in it. I loved the clean lines and adorable button detail. This dress runs very true to size, I would size up for backup ( but you probably won't need to). This hit right above my knee. Overall, a great dress !

Arms fit snug but the body is very loose. Think 60's mod straight up and down.

I have previously rented the white version of this dress and I absolutely loved both of them! Very classy and stylish. This dress is timeless. Add some pearls and you look glam!

I didn't wear drop waist dresses until this one changed my tune. It's fantastic. Felt pretty, totally presentable, and the shorter length kept it fun. Highly recommend.

this dress has NO stretch. it's super cute though, the fabric and lining are quite warm so i definitely wouldn't wear it someplace warm. it's a great party dress, at first i thought it was boring when i took it off the hanger but i loved it once i had it on!

I rented this dress for a very sophisticated political family wedding and it was stunning. It looks big on the hanger but fits perfectly when you put it on. The sleeves are a bit tight at the elbows even though I have very slim arms. It is quite comfortable and I had so many compliments on the dress. I felt like Kate Middleton.

This is very sophisticated dress!! I was quiet suprised after I recevied it. Picture doesn't tell everything. Dress itself was very comfortable, didn't look boxy or big. Very sophisticated and perfect for formal event. I'm planning to rent this dress again for my work event. I feel like million dollars in it.

I wore this dress for a medical conference in Washington DC. I felt it had a great professional/political look while being fashionable at the same time. I am generally a size 0, so I wore the 38. It fit perfectly fine. I am lucky that I have small arms, which I know was mentioned in previous reviews. The dress itself is very roomy, but I think the cut guarantees a nice shape. My friend said this dress was a perfect 10. I received a million compliments from other women. I would HIGHLY recommend this dress.

I wore this dress to my husband's company holiday party. The atmosphere is rather conservative, so I thought this was perfect for the occasion. When I first opened the dress, I thought, "Is this too simple?" The dress doesn't have the frills and sparkles like other holiday dresses, but it has the subtle festivity to it due to the gold buttons (and I wore really big, crystal earrings, which helped a lot). I actually ended up liking it this way a lot better because the subtly of the dress made it very classy and elegant. The dress is also very REGAL. I can imagine Kate Middleton wearing this dress. The dress is not meant to be worn tight, so it was very comfortable and easy. The sleeves are a bit tight, so if you have bigger arms, this dress might not work for you.

The dress was beautiful and conservative for a holiday party with my boyfriend's family. I paired it with black tights and black and gold wedges (I can't seem to find a picture though). The pockets were useful for holding my phone and lipstick. My one complaint is that the sleeves had no give at all. They fit over my arms, but were very snug because there was so stretch to them.

This was a very comfortable dress, though the arms were a bit tight as other reviewers noted. Also, I could have worn the size down except for the fit in the hips. I'm about a size 6 on my bottom half right now, and the band on the 40 was just a bit too tight for the dress to lay right on me. It kept hiking up, which created a wrinkle/poof around my middle. The 42 fit better on the hips, but I lost a bit of the shape around my waist. Overall, this was a great dress for a fairly casual, somewhat chilly outdoor party on a horse farm.

I rented this dress for an engagement family hosted by a conservative family in the dead of New England winter. I wore with black tights and black heels. I was happy with the dress, but some things I would like to mention include the smallish armholes - I am petite and the shoulders/arms were a bit snug, so someone with larger shoulders will definitely have a problem. The gold button detailing was very nice, but some of the buttons were very loose. The torso does fit a little funny, it felt like it was too short but at the same time had a lot of extra bunchy fabric. This is good for hiding a tummy, but the way the fabric flowed was a little awkward.

This style was really classic and very fun! It runs very true to size but hits longer than expected! I wish it was a little shorter, however it really is a great look! I recommend keeping accessories very minimal as the style speaks for itself!

Conservative and very well made.

The dress runs large in the mid section and through the top which I find common with boat neck style tops. My biggest complaint about the dress is on the website they state a Italian size 40 is a size 2, but when I recieved the dress the label stated an Italian size 40 was a US size 6. i felt that the dress fit more like a size 6 versus the size 2 I was lead to believe I had ordered. If I ordered the dress again I would order a size smaller the 38.

I liked this dress. I wore it to a dinner event and I looked lovely. I would recommend this look for an elderly woman, a law school interview, or even a funeral. If worn in the right environment, the look will complement you very well. Otherwise, I think it will give you a groggy touch.

It was way too long on me. I'm 5'1. I looked like a dorky Catholic school girl whose mom won't let her hem her skirt. The material was also underwhelming -- very thick polyester.

The fabric didn't look high quality. Also the skirt reached near my knee which made the dress look like a school uniform. I didn't wear it.

I did not end up wearing this dress. It was too small in the chest and yet really large in the waist. I do not recommend this dress and was grateful that RTR ended up sending a different second size dress as a coincidence because they did not have this dress in the two sizes I rented.

The torso of the bodice is REALLY long. It worked for me because I have a really long torso, but if you are short wasted, it might be a challenge. It runs a bit large. I went for a 6, but a 4 would have been a better fit.
