Was requested to wear black as I was a bridesmaid. Perfect for a Texas wedding; transitioned from heals to boots. Easy to dance in and comfortable.

I loved this dress! I wore it to a wedding and it was very comfortable. We actually had to drive an hour and a half to the wedding and I was wearing this dress during the car ride which should speak to the level of comfort. Very sexy. I got a lot of compliments. I will admit that I had to wear Spanx underneath b/c I just had a baby and I thought the dress a bit unforgiving in the belly area but I really liked it! It gave me an hour glass shape which I never have!

I am pear-shaped, so I tried the size 6 which felt great but I had tons of fabric on top that I couldn't fill out (and normally not a problem being a c cup). So I went w/ the size 4 which fit perfectly on top but snug on bottom. I bought spanx (previous reviews mention it being snug in the tummy and it is). Spanx helped. Other thing to note, at least for me wearing a 4, dress must go over the head, couldn't step into it...so getting my hair done, had to have the dress on first. As for jewelry, the neck is high...saw some review pics w/ shorter necklaces...I opted to go w/o and just have a showier earring/bracelet/bag set. Went w/ a strappy black sandal for shoes. Originally didn't want to go w/ a black dress for this wedding...just wanted something w/ color, especially w/ it being summer, but after seeing the cut and the structure of the dress, went w/ it because I didn't think it could go wrong and was glad I did. Right decision. Lots of compliments, felt dressy but not overdressed, danced all night and was comfy...loved the dress and was really happy with this choice.

I rented for a formal black tie event....would have been stunning...except that the other dress I ordered was also stunning and I had to choose. Honestly, the only reason I didn't pick this one was because I knew I could wear this style to another event..the other dress was more of a gown. I can't wait to rent this again. Its tight...around the middle...be ready..but its classy as hell. You won't regret renting this one.

I wore this dress to a work cocktail party. The 40 was a little tight around the booty and the 42 was a little big in the bust. I decided to go with the 40 because it was stretchy enough that it was still comfortable. The length and lack of cleavage make this a great evening work event outfit.

The fit is pretty flattering but I had a bit of room to fill up top. I was truly between sizes 40 & 42 and went with the 40.

I wore this for a rehearsal dinner at an upscale venue and it was pure effortless class. I was running very late for this event and barely had time to do my hair or makeup, but the dress was so stunning in fit and structure that I was able to get away with a minimalistic look. VERY forgiving and flattering - no need for Spanx! Highly recommended for ladies in need of a simple, yet classy and stunning dress. I wish I had a picture that wasn't so dark!

I got this dress for an office holiday party, and it was PERFECT. It hit right above my knees, like where it does on the photo of the model. And the high neckline kept the one shoulder style professional. I got so many compliments and felt like a million bucks all night.

This dress fit beautifully with enough stretch to bridge sizes. I only had the option of the smaller size but with a pair of Spanx the 0/2 was fine. It was comfortable and very chic looking but modest enough length for a mature woman to wear. I wore it to an evening wedding with a pashmina cover up. This is my first Rent the Runway rental and I am so glad I took the plunge!

Perfect length and the 42 was comparable to a Size 6. I would wear this dress again!

I tried this dress on in the RTR Showroom and happily found it to be VERY figure flattering. I've passed it over on the website so many times, but in person I LOVED it and can't wait to rent it for a rehearsal dinner.

I loved this dress! Definitely one of my favorites from RTR. I wish I owned it! The fit was perfect all around for a petite frame but still long enough to look great on taller women. It's a very flattering dress and I highly recommend!

I never would have selected this dress just looking at it but after seeing everyone else's photos and how great it looked on them I thought I'd rent it (at only $32.50 why not?!?) and this is the one I went with. Fits true to size. I love how the middle section holds you in. All my family said I looked like I should be in Hollywood and that's how I felt too!

I ordered a size 42 and 44 as I am usually a size 6 (size 4 or small on top, 6 or med on bottom). The 44 was noticeably too large in the bust area so I went with the 42. It definitely fit very snug but looked great!

I loved this dress! I think the 40 would have been a better fit, but, it wasn't available. It was a little snug in the ribcage, but, there is a little stretch in the material. Wish I didn't have to return it!

I love the concept of this dress. The material was beautiful, the length was great even on someone as short as myself, the shoulder detail was fabulous, but the dress runs a little small. At most stores that I shop at, I'm a 00. So in theory the 0 equivalent (38) should fit, but the 38 was SKIN TIGHT in the midsection. The next size up was not available so I decided to risk it with one size and a back up dress. It worked well enough but if you've got anything around the midsection that you don't want everyone to know about, I would suggest spanx or sizing up. I did get many, many compliments on the dress, I just kept adjusting it because it was so tight. Overall, fabulous dress and I was pleased with how it ended up looking in pictures!

I have rented at least seven or eight dresses on here and this was the least expensive, but definitely did not look it! I don't think any Shapeware is needed and I also did not need to wear a bra - just nip covers. It was formfitting without being tight, and easy to wear all night.

Felt large, I'm between sizes and I should have sized down. Classic silhouette, showed lots of arm and collarbone. So great to dance in! Perfectly manageable slit in back, very easy to wear and exceedingly comfortable, felt elegant

The fit overall was ok- the top runs way too big. I am not very small chested, and it was definitely too large, and I had to pin it to keep the top in right position to keep my bra from showing. Overall beautiful dress, my only issue was with the top being way too large.

I wanted something that straddled conservative and sexy and this fit the bill. The length was just a touch too long for my taste (it hit right at the bottom of my knee and I would've preferred it hit right above). The fit was great and the one shoulder flourish was a nice touch. I got tons of compliments. Overall my only small complaint was that the fabric was thinner and more flimsy than I expected, but once on it did not look cheap.

The dress looked elegant, but I was uncomfortable with how it fit. It matched how dresses usually fit me with the exception of the chest area. I'm a 36D and it was still very large on me. This dress would work best on someone who has a larger chest in proportion to their hips. The slit in the back went very high, again telling me this is not the dress for someone with a larger than average bum!

Dress fit very well and was almost knee length even with my height! Dress was flattering and in perfect condition. The one shoulder look was elegant and unique. Dress runs true to size. It did seem that the back of the dress with the one shoulder was a bit large and there was extra fabric, but maybe this would have filled out if you have a larger chest. However it was not a real issue and I received compliments on the dress all night!

This was my second choice dress but the second I tried it on for friends and family this was the one they told me to wear. It was perfect for the city wedding I was attending. It was comfortable and looked great all night even while dancing. I would definitely rent this dress again. It came to about mid- knee but with some killer heels it looked amazing.

I wore this to a wedding and it was a hit! Loved the fit and style. I'm 5'8 and it fell just above my knees. I wore the smaller of the two sizes for a more fitted look. Fabric was great quality and comfortable.

I loved this style - classic with a little edge. The 'pouf' on the shoulder adds interest without being over-the-top, perfect for a formal wedding. I wore this dress all day - almost 11 hours (including during an hour car drive to church and non-stop dancing at reception) and was comfortable the entire time! The length was perfect, not too short. I'm a mom of two young ones and not in the best shape of my life, so I ordered the 42 and 44 to allow for my "not-so-toned" abs/midsection. I ended up wearing the 44 to allow for more tummy room/comfort since I knew I'd be in this dress for a long time. I also have a bigger rib cage and sometimes have to go up a size in order to zip around my ribs (which oftentimes makes the bust area gap a bit). That said, the top the 44 of this dress was a little big on me (and gapped near the under arm a bit) but I went with the 44 because I was worried I'd be uncomfortable in the 42 all day. Not sure I was crazy about the fabric but overall, this dress was exactly what I needed. Thank you!

I wore this to a black tie wedding. It hit the right note. I am glad I ordered this dress as my back-up, because the picture does not do it justice. I felt very pretty with such a cool, modern look all night.

I really loved this dress. i loved the feel of the fabric, and it was soo comfortable. some dresses need to be adjusted frequently or need fashion tape; this one was maintenance free. it downplayed my ample chest which was great, but it made my tummy look large, which was not so great. i wore spanx and a wide belt, and that solved the problem. I've rented from RTR 3 times--this is the best dress so far.

this dress fits great, but I felt more like I was going to a business dinner than to a fun wedding. I would get it for a different occasion though.

in the photo, it looks like there is almost draping across the chest- not so much in person. Overall, a nice little black dress, true to size and good fit, the shoulder embellishment was just more feminine than what I usually prefer. The fabric wasn't shiny as I had envisioned- more of a linen like blend? nice LBD, just preferred the other dress I'd rented.
