A basic black sweater dress...but make it fashion. Had to buy this one!

Monse Zipper Detail Dress size M/US6-8 - I didn't have anywhere special to wear this and thought I was just getting it to try on for fun. But we had a cold day and was surprised how much I liked it all zipped up as a sweater dress at the office (pinning up the scarf at the bottom). No one had really photographed it without showing off the fabulous panels, of course! I liked knowing they were there and unzipped them for a few co-workers who were stunned by how gorgeous they are. Then I unzipped them for dinner on a week night at a fancy restaurant. As everyone says, it's like wearing art.

It’s a stunner, and made out of fine merino wool and silk. Feels and looks like a dream. Wore to more than one event. I sized up so it would be less clingy. 10/10.

I couldn’t go anywhere without hearing about this dress. Looks great on, shows great on camera and is so unique, you’ll never see it on anyone. I would not recommend wearing it during the summer (I needed something that didn’t show the season but normally would’ve waited until at least fall. I probably should’ve bought it.

I wore this out to dinner with friends and got so many compliments! The fit was perfect and the zippers give you extra room if you need it. I will definitely be renting this one again!

Zippers on arm and leg make this outfit easily adjustable. Recommend wearing with heels as the longest portion of the dress goes all the way to the feet.

TTS but a little long on the side with the inset. Who cares? The knit hugs your curves without being clingy. I plan on wearing this a few times.

This dress is one of the best items on RTR. It fits incredibly well and looks beautiful on. I received compliments all day even from strangers. It's so comfortable but note it's a sweater material so may be better for colder months. I am renting this again as soon as it becomes available.

This may be the best thing I have ever rented. It's very long but fixed the with a tiny safety pin and it worked great. The arms and neckline are adjustable with zippers but this is absolutely gorgeous. Wore it to a fashion event and got lots of compliments. Wish I could buy this and wear it to sit around my house when I want to feel amazing.

I wore this for my friend’s gallery opening. I did order a size up from my usual based on reviews and the slim fit of the dress. I wore it with shapewear to keep the lines smooth. I got many compliments throughout the night. Great material for fall in New England.

This was a beautiful piece! I wore it to my birthday dinner and it looked even better than I thought it would. Very unique.

Didn’t end up wearing for my event - need to find another reason to wear! Thicker sweater material with lots of stretch. True to size. Sleeves and overall length are long - I wouldn’t have been able to wear without heels or the fabric panel would have dragged. Very cool that you can zip/unzip as much as you want so it feels customizable.

I had wanted to rent this for a while but it was never available. Finally the medium became available, and while a large would have been better, I got it anyway. I felt spectacular in this dress. It is so unique, and I got compliments left and right with it. As a shorter girl (5’3”), I had to wear 3” heels and the bottom scarf still skimmed the floor, but I just loved it. It’s made of a thicker material, so it helps give some shape. This is me wearing it without Spanx, but I felt like it held things in okay. I got stopped by so many people, and a random woman on the sidewalk actually caught up to me just to ask about it. I could never afford to purchase this, but I would absolutely rent again. (Ideally next time in my size!)

Honestly such a beautiful dress with amazing details. It was so beautiful and really unique. I got so many compliments on it. It is true to size and also very warm, perfect for a winter party!

I’ve been stalking this dress for months, and was finally able to rent it. It’s still chilly in LA near the ocean, so wearing it out for a sushi dinner tonight with my boyfriend. Absolutely love it! Artsy, flattering, and fabulous!

It was the coldest day of the year in Florida and we were going for an anniversary dinner. The inserts are stunning and most beautiful scarf like patterns the zippers allow you to show as much or as little the scarfs are long, so I clipped the hem up a little bit, so it wouldn’t drag. Definitely a head Turner and still not too hot indoors, and I’ve usually hot so I was pleasantly surprised. The insert on the left arm hangs a bit like a handkerchief so you have to be careful of candles and food, etc., especially if you’re left-handed as I am. But it really didn’t bother me. I wore it with some designer sock boots and the logo was very subtle, so it didn’t distract from the dress, sorry about the flash in the photo. I wish I were taller, it definitely would have been even more fabulous if I were at least 5 foot five lol.

I wore this to a holiday party and got tons of compliments. It’s a fitter sweater dress with silk printed insets at the wrist and hem. Zippers are adjustable to show more or less of the printed underlay. It’s tight, so don’t rent it if you are trying to completely hide your mid section

Consider me a sucker for anything Monse. As any item from this label-- beautiful construction, immaculate hand feel, unusual detailing. This piece is a bit long on a 5'3" petite frame. Corrected with Paris Texas Delilah 6" high platforms.

This dress is a walking work of art. It’s bold and different, so get ready for attention. The zipper details are incredible. Wore during pregnancy and it fit great.

I would love to wear this to an art event or on Broadway. . Easy to wear sweater dress form fitting. Sleeves long.

This dress was so unique and beautiful. The way it hugs the body is quite flattering. It definitely needs heels if you are short; the scarf bit hanging down was otherwise dragging on the floor for me at 5'3". I also think it would have looked better on someone taller than me

The scarf falls quite long from the bottom of the dress, stunning with the matching sleeve, but too long for shorties such as myself.

I’ve been watching this dress for a while and had to get it even though the weather had turned warmer. I had to see if and planned to wear it in the evening once it got a bit cooler out. The body is a sweater material and is obviously a high quality. It hugs the curves well and was very flattering. I’d love more bold color in the scarf but have no complaints with it as is. It’s a fantastic dress. Definitely a statement!

This was such a cool design. The illusion is fun and sophisticated. The dress is also very comfortable.

Lovely dress / great fit / better for the winter

Everyone at work noticed this dress! The engineers and design people were obsessed with the zippers and underlying fabric. The fashionistas just loved the unique take on the sweater dress. Breaks up the hard lines of a typical sweater dress with some flowing feminine vibes.
