Everything was perfect except it did fit very tight around my rib cage. I normally wear a 4 and I went with the 6 because it just fit. I think the bust size makes a difference. if you are a C or bigger, you should order a size up just incase. loved, loved it!

I wore this dress to prom, and I can honestly say that I wouldn't have had it any other way! I was afraid that it was too short since it landed right above my ankles, but it's longer in the back and flowed nicely when I walked so keep that in mind when ordering your size :D Like many others have said, pictures don't do it justice; it's a lovely emerald green that kinda shimmers and looks like something from a fairytale! Definitely one of my favorites from this site.

Runs small. I typically wear a 2 long (sometimes a 0) and the 2 wouldn't zip. Glad I ordered the 4L for backup. Gorgeous color. I got tons of compliments!

I chose a size 12L but it actually was a bit large on me. I was nervous to get a 10 but I don't wear formal dresses often so I was going off of jean size. It would've fit perfect as a 10. It was very comfortable to wear for long hour.

Very comfortable, great color for olive skin tone, elegant, easy to dance in, I could actually eat food. Probably the best dress I've ever worn.

The dress fit great and was gorgeous, I received many compliments about the color and style. I was worried about picking out a dress for the gala that would fit okay two month after having our fourth baby and this one was great! The only downside was the corset, it was a little too tight which made it tough to take a deep breath but it was great because it never felt like it was sliding down and I didn't have to wear a bra with it! Overall a perfect dress! I'm currently 154 lbs and 5'4" and it was the right length and right size.

This color has always been a favorite of mine so to find it in such a beautiful dress I was hooked. And I was not disappointed. I am usually a 6 but I worn the 8 because it was a little snug around the books and ribs, there is no give in the fabric there. I actually might have been more comfortable in the 10, but I was okay in the 8. I did the L because with the heels I need the extra length so it still puddles at the floor. This was worn to an Oscars viewing party that was a formal affair and it was an absolute hit.

Boning in bodice fit to a 'tee'. 6R was surprisingly small. 10R would have been too big. Length was perfect but long enough to feel like you're wearing a real ball gown!

My 17-year-old daughter wore this to an award ceremony. She paired it with 3-3/4 inch heels (she is 5'5-1/2) and the skirt perfectly touched the ground . She is a 36A and wore a strapless bra-a push-up would also work, depending on your desired look. The dress fit like a glove-it was so elegant, and the material looked expensive. It was not a "cheap" shiny satin at all. Her accessories were in the silver range , with her crystal necklace set in dark metal, her purse was a silver mesh over black. This made her look "edgier". A more traditional look might be finding emerald jewelry to compliment the dress (I'm showing my age!). This was a gorgeous ball gown which would flatter most body types . Those who are uncomfortable showing upper arms may want a small wrap; nothing too long which would cover the fabulous gathers of the dress.

Lots of great compliments on the dress! I felt like a princess :) Had a little trouble with the zipper. If your bust is larger than a 36 and you normally wear an 8, then get a 10 because it was a little snug in the bust area. The great thing about that was I didn't have to wear a bra! (and after having 3 kids that's a rarity)

I usually don't wear green, but something about this dress stood out to me when I was browsing RTR. Absolutely loved it, and it fit true to size and was fairly comfortable. Kind of difficult to dance in, but I would expect that from any long dress. The green also made for great pictures and it stood out from everyone else!

I absolutely loved this dress from the moment I tried it on at the Soho showroom. I originally tried on the 4R which fit fine. They sent me the 2R as well - when I tried it on, that fit perfectly! It has a built-in corset and ribbing so it holds everything together and provides support, even without a bra. I wore it to my bf's grad school gala and got so many compliments! It was also very comfortable to dance in since the bodice did not budge despite the movement. The color is so perfect for spring and it photographs so well. My only complaint is that it was a tad short when I wore 3" platform wedges. I should have gone for the 2L instead, but it was a very minor issue for me.

This was a last minute decision for this style. Sadly several dresses I had tried were giving me issues (quality) and the ones I wanted were no longer available in my size to replace them. The day before my event, one of the wonderful stylist at RTR worked with me through pages and pages of dresses to find one that I liked and that they had "on the rack" to overnight to me. This was the one I ended up wearing to the event and wasn't disappointed as it is "Topeka green". :) Dress was comfortable and elegant. Highly recommend RTR to all of my friends and will definitely be Renting the Runway again. Can't wait to celebrate Sub Ball again next year.

Loved this dress. I was nervous that the skirt would be too poofy but it wasn't. I am short and with the regular length I was able to wear my very comfortable heels and the dress didn't drag. I wasn't pulling it up all night. I was very comfortable. When I received the dress the boning was sticking out in several places. It was scratching me when I tried it on. I contacted RTR and their customer service is quick and amazing. I was able to put some fashion tape inside holding pieces together so they didn't scratch me and I could still wear the dress. I will rent from here again!

Ran a little large, tried it on at Bendel's and the sample definitely fit slightly better than the dress that shipped...otherwise, felt like a very pretty pine tree the whole night!

Lesson learned about balls on the last day of a Mardi Gras vacation... size up!! I'm a 00-0 in most clothing so I always go for a 0 with RTR. I opted for a long as my backup just in case I got super high heels, and boy I wish I'd gotten a 2 instead! It was snug, but we managed to get it on finally and it was so worth it! The color is gorgeous! The bottom is filled with green tulle making it feel like a true ball gown. I got numerous compliments all night long and felt like a princess! I wish I had gotten better pictures, but I was too busy having the time of my life in the perfect dress. I still wore fairly tall shoes (3.5-4"?) and the dress just gracefully brushed the ground and I never had to worry about tripping on it.

PRO: Color is the perfect emerald, not hard to put on and keep secure because of the inner lining CON: I wish there had been a petite size because I did the regular 0 and it was really long, I kept tripping over it even in 4 inch heals. But other than that it was great!

The dress looked great and I got many compliments. I wore 1.5 inch heels, being just shy of 6 ft i considered myself lucky that the length worked for me. i also consider myself at the large end of the size range for this dress. There was an inside sizing adjustment on the bust line that makes the dress work for many different sizes.

I rented this for our Christmas Ball. I loved everything about this dress -- the color (it is much prettier than in the picture, a true emerald green), the fit, how it moved, and how I felt in it. I ordered the 8R and the 10R and went with the 10R only because the 8 was a little tight in the ribcage (I have a very broad ribcage). The 10R was the perfect length with 3" heels (I am 5'6"). The ruching around the waist is very flattering and very forgiving for those of us with less than flat abs. The skirt is full enough so that fit around the hips is not an issue. I think it is very true to size except for someone like me with a big ribcage. I accessorized with a simple gold necklace and bracelet, It does not need very much. This is a color I have never, ever worn and I cannot wait for the chance to rent it again.

Wore the gown to a Florida Hospital Fund Raising Gala. Was glad I read the reviews because it did run small. I wear an 8R but needed the 10R. The fabric was truly elegant. I chose the color because of the green in the tartan of my man's kilt. Received so many wonderful comments. In looking at the dress on the website and the way mine fit, I believe some of the stitching in the front gathered area must have been out because my dress had somewhat of a train in the front. However, I didn't mind the look-very unique. Overall I loved this dress.

I ordered the long length only because the regular length wasn't available for the night, but even with 4 inch heels (making me close to 6ft tall), it was still too long. So get the regular length if you're anywhere near my height. Otherwise, the fit was perfect. I'm a size 10 in nearly everything, and the 10 in this dress was just right. I received so many compliments, and my Facebook page exploded when I posted pics.

Loved the gown. I got compliments all night long. The dress has wiggle room so if you are in between dress sizes order up for the best fit. The dress has a lining that is soft and comfortable. The skirt gets it's fullness from a gathered netting under the dress. I had on 4" platform heels and the dress was perfect length for that.

I rented this dress for a gala for which I was the Mistress of Ceremonies. I ordered the 4 and the 6. I normally wear a 4. The 6 fit, although it was difficult to zip at the bust area. I had to remove my strapless bra to make it fit at the bust area. I tried using the push up sticky bra. That didn't work either. But, the material and structure of the dress where so good that you could not tell. The dress was the perfect length for me and it was easy to dance in as well. I got several compliments and truly felt like I had the best dress in the room!

I wore this dress for my senior prom! The only reason this dress is missing a star for me is because the boning was sticking through in a few places (nothing a little duct tape can't fix). Other than that, it was soft, flattering, comfortable, and best of all, I didn't find myself adjusting it all night. I rarely do strapless or ball gowns, but this dress was lovely.

It is slightly smaller than expected in the bust. I'm 34B and it was snug with a slightly passed strapless. Loved the dress. Hard to dance in so keep that in mind. Overall would definitely recommend

Dress was long enough to wear with 4 inch heels and I received many compliments about the color. The material look a little cheap but overall this dress was a hit.

I ordered this dress as a back up and didn't wear it to the event. I'm 5'2" and with 6 inches heels this dress still seemed too long for me. As the pictures shown, I already put the heels on and it's still dragging.

I wanted to stand out at a formal gala, and this color was perfect for that. I got so many compliments and it definitely had a princess-y feel. It's super easy to dance in (see my 3 pics), but the boning did mildly cut into one of my ribs on one side. Not bad until the next day and I was like, ow, I have a tiny bruise. It went up really high on my short torso, so if you're short-torsoed, keep that in mind.

Wore this to a formal military dinner. Felt glamorous without being over the top. Fitted bodice is great for a girl with a larger chest, but a smaller to cage and straight hips. Did not need a strapless bra at all. The dress is so well made I never had to adjust all night. No falling down! The only reason I took one star off is that there was a year in the crinoline under skirt and the boning on one side is starting to wear through and poke occasionally. I pinned it up and had no problems but this particular dress may be getting towards the end of it lifespan. My initial dress was a little big and this was a backup sent the day of the event. I can not say enough good things about the rent the runway customer service. They rescued my night!!

I wore this gown to a Navy ball and it was a massive hit! I got a lot of compliments from total strangers and felt a million dollars :) it was pretty tight in the bust for me so it was a bit uncomfortable sitting down. But when I was standing it was perfect. I knocked one star off for the length. The fit notes said a Regular length would fit 5'1" - 5'3" with 3-4" heels. I am 5'1" and wore 5" heels and the dress was still an inch or two too long, requiring me to hitch it up to dance and walk very very carefully! It wasn't a major issue, but if you're short like me I would recommend a Petite length if possible.

This dress is beautiful. It runs just a tad tight in the chest, but the length is perfect with heels. The pictures really don't do the color justice. It is a deep emerald green. I wore it for an Irish festival and it set the perfect tone. I would rent this dress over and over again!

Great fit, I just recommend to be careful about cup size-- mine ran a bit large so I had to wear a bigger bra size. Very comfortably, very beautiful, great dress!!

This dress was perfect for a Black Tie event I attended, I got so many compliments on the dress! It was ripped a little on the inside by the zipper, but the tear isn't visible. I ordered the Regular length due to reviews saying the Long was too long, but I wish I had gotten the Long. I'm 5'8, and the Long would have been perfect with my heels, the Regular was at least 3 or 4 inches off the ground. The body fit was true to size, though. I got it with the White Marabou Capelet because I'm always cold, and it was perfect! Everyone loved it, and it kept me warm and settled nicely on my shoulders, I didn't have to keep adjusting it. A lot of people thought it was a fur, though it's really more like feathers.

This dress was perfect. I was worried with the material and the fuller skirt it would read too, prom-like but I felt very appropriately dressed for a 30 year old at a military ball. I'm rather busty so I ordered a 12 for my backup, but the 10 fit great everywhere - cinched in my waist and held up the ladies :)

PROS: This dress is festive and sophisticated. The cut is so dramatic and feminine, but also really forgiving and flattering. It makes a subtle swishing sound when you move, too. I wore it to a black-tie wedding and not only felt like royalty but was comfortable and happy all night. CONS: The top of the dress was a little uneven, and there were delivery issues with the courier service RTR uses in NYC. The dress arrived 24 hours late, so we were down to the wire in terms of getting it delivered in time for the event. Luckily, customer service saved the day; the two women I spoke with, Rachel and Jessica, were so sweet and committed to getting the dress delivered that it wound up being fine. ALSO: I visited the SoHo showroom to find this dress and highly recommend that to those in NYC—amazing to be able to take out so much of the guesswork.

I wore this to my senior prom on Saturday (4/19) and it was such a beautiful dress. There were A LOT of problems with it, though. First off, the ruffles were all screwed up, probably just the result of a lot of wear and tear, and there was even a hole in the middle of a ruffle that noticed right away when I brought it out of the bag. There were also multiple pokey plastic pieces sticking out of the fabric in the bodice that actually punctured my skin to the point of drawing blood and gave me bruises when I took my dress off after the dance! I was very disappointed in what bad quality the dress was in, but since my senior prom was the next day I had to make do with what was given to me. (The four, which was my original choice, was practically perfect but my breasts would not fit, which sucked.) It's a really beautiful dress though--most of my problems with it stemmed from this particular dress that was sent to me rather than the overall design--and is very flattering to all body types. I kept getting compliments all night, even from guys! Love Monique Lhuillier.

The bodice would have needed tape to keep the edge where it needed to be instead of sort of peeling down at the top. I chose to wear the second dress I ordered because I felt more dramatic in it and I was more comfortable in something with sleeves.
