I rented this for a black tie event. The dress was perfect length for being able to easily walk in. I didn't have the common issue of having to pull up the top like some strapless dresses have. This dress fit snug. I had to have someone help me zip but that was with all the dresses. Overall fun to wear and a great color. I would wear it again!

I absolutely loved this dress. The color was perfect. Couldn't have been happier. It fit great and was comfortable. Felt like a princess in this beautiful gown.

I wore this to a gala and felt amazing in it! The ombre and colors were so pretty and I received so many compliments. Only the top is snug, the rest of the dress is roomy and great for dancing! I had a blast twirling and getting down in it!

Welp. I already knew I was flat-chested, but come on. Those are grapefruits in there. There is no padded bra large enough to make this work for me. I think most women as thin as me are NOT going to be THAT busty on top. It is very disproportionately large on top. I'm used to having a little bit of space to fill out in things, but generally nothing that a push-up bra couldn't accommodate for...But not this! I bought this dress so I am able to have it tailored, but keep in mind that since there is boning in the top, it will definitely cost a pretty penny to get it taken in. If you're okay with paying to have it taken in or are talented enough to do it yourself, then it's an otherwise gorgeous dress! Or, if you are a thin woman who has a hard time fitting a large bust in formal wear, well, THIS dress is perfect for you! I don't know if the larger dress sizes have this same proportion problem, because it doesn't seem like other women have had this issue. I still love this dress anyway! FYI, it only runs large in the bust. True to size everywhere else.

I usually wear a 4, sometimes a 6, the 4 was too small in this dress and I ended up wearing the 6R. The length was a little longer than I expected but still fun. I wore this dress to a rehearsal dinner in Mexico and paired it with nude heels and jewelry. There are a lot of layers to the skirt, so be prepared if you're wearing it somewhere warm. Overall, I really loved wearing this dress.

I was smitten the moment I tried this dress on. It fits beautifully, the color is incredible, plus it has pockets! I felt amazing all night and several little girls at the event assumed I was a princess. What's better than that?

I received this dress because my original dress I ordered was not available at the last minute. The rent the runway stylists picked this dress out for me and I just loved it. I probably liked it more than what I had originally picked out for the wedding. The fit was gorgeous, the color was beautiful. I received so many compliments. Another win for me thanks to rent the runway!!

This was a replacement for my original order (which is a shame--I really really wanted to wear that dress but it ran small!) but I'm very happy with it. It looked gorgeous, and I got quite a few compliments. I have two complaints: 1. teal is so "in" that half the female guests were wearing teal. womp. 2. the boning at the waist started to dig in by the end of the night--I probably should've held back at dinner a bit more, but still. Ouch! That said, I loved how it looked.

Definitely runs small - I'm an XS/6 top, and I ordered both the 0 and 2 and the 0 was tiny. It has an inbuilt bra which is great, and is just above the ankle which makes it really versatile as it's formal but not too formal and perfect for a wide range of dress codes.

I used a Monique Lhullier sizing guide to choose which sizes to rent, and thought the 4 might be a little bit tight on me. It was not! (My measurements are: 34, 27, 36.) This dress does not require a bra, but I ended up purchasing one after I tried this on to pad out the top a little as I found it a bit looser than I'd like (I planned to DANCE). I included front, side, and back views in the pictures for your reference. As you can see from the pictures, I had no problem with slippage once I added the strapless bra, but it may have been dicey without a little extra up top. The color looks more green in person, but it's really pretty. This dress has pockets!! I liked the length, though occasionally the tulle would catch on my shoe, so be careful with that. Very happy, and would absolutely rent again and recommend to anyone, especially other practical brides. I wore it with the Crislu Classic Lady Earrings, also rented from RTR, 3 inch heels, and a dark teal silk belt which I hand-beaded. Also rented the Nicole Miller Star Light Star Bright Necklace, but determined it was super pretty and looked great with just the dress, but it was too much bling with the belt.

Fit very true to size... The built in bra supported the dress really well, so I didn't have to worry about pulling it up. I wore sparkly black peep toes and carried a black clutch to lend it a bit of evening edge. Received a ton of compliments, felt amazing all night!

The fit was snug, but wearing a strapless dress that's what I like. I felt very secure. It was the perfect length for me. Hit right at my ankles.

The fit was pretty much true to size. I have a small chest so the fit was great. It didn't slide down at all. Length was good, I didn't feel like I would trip on it every second. Color was beautiful and it looked expensive. This was perfect for a wedding :-)

Pros- very flattering Cons- the boning in the back of the top killed my back by the end of the night. I suggest a size up if you can.

Dress looked beautiful up on stage in the formal competition and was a winner as you can see for the junior teen division. It fit perfectly and was nice that no bra was needed due to built in bra. My daughter was comfortable and felt beautiful. Love Rent the Runway and will definitely use them again!

I would agree with the other reviewers, that it runs small, but because I have a very small ribcage, it fit me personally true to size. The one problem was the cup size. I'm a 32D and the cups were still massive, I didn't fill the dress in, but a size 2 would have been too small on my ribcage. When it arrived it looked a lot more green than the pictures here show, but it photographs with more blue tones. OH and it has pockets! I will probably rent this dress again, loved the fit, the ombre, the color and all the compliments all night!

I ended up not wearing this dress, but LOVED it so much I plan to rent it for my birthday next month. This dress is incredibly fun and flirty. As soon as I put it on, I could not stop spinning and twirling. The corset top was tricky to zip and a bit tight, but that meant it stayed in place without drooping or moving - exactly what you need in strapless. It had a built in bra with the dress, but the cups were a little too pointy on me until I added a strapless bra. The pockets were deep and functional, and the dress gave my athletic body a lovely shape. It was perfect with white, blue and pink floral shoes, and I cannot wait to wear it again next month!

The dress is a true 10 but it is structured with with a full built-in bra, whale bones and layers of fabulous skirt. I didn't have to wear spanx which is an added bonus on a day like that. It was longer on me (no duh!) than in the photo.

I wore this dress to a very formal wedding. I loved this dress so much, it is so much more beautiful in person. It was so comfy, it has a built in bra, so you need absolutely no special under garments. I wore gold strappy sandels with it and paired it with the Kate Spade "I kissed a frog" clutch. It was stunning!

I wore this dress to the nutcracker ballet back in December. I really like the dress but the boning was a bit uncomfortable at times. I did have to put duct tape on the boning and parts of the boning to keep it from cutting my torso. I also wore a corset as an additional protective layer against my stomach. Other than that it was a great dress and I got great praise from those that saw me. This picture was actually taken by a bouncer at a club who just had to take my phone to take this photo.

The bodice was roomy, so I had to tie some ribbon across the dress to tighten it a bit so I wasn't adjusting throughout the night. I should have also worn higher heels because it was just a bit long. But I loved the color and the style of this dress (a great plus was that it had pockets!)

I was skeptical about this dress and ended up with it because I was so unsure about the experience I waited too long to get the one I actually wanted. But, it turned out to be a perfect dress for the occasion. I wore this dress to a work event I was managing for a group of physicians and it was great for running around so I am sure it would be perfect for a dance floor! I was entertaining for the little girls because of its "twirly" skirt and the color was beautiful making me easy to spot in a group of over 500! I am very self conscious of my hip area and always worry about that but this skirt fell nicely. I will say that unless you have a smaller busy and a small waist size WAY up. I am normally a 6, sometimes a 4, in dresses but I wore the 8 in this dress and it was a bit tight. A full breath, or sneeze, was not possible. The zipper was a pain (for my husband at least) but went up and came down so no real complaints. I'm a bit over 5'8.5" and it was a true tea length reaching right to my ankles. I wore both heels and flats in this dress during the night and it looked great with either. I had compliments all night from guests and staff alike and was compared to Elsa (from Frozen) at least 2 dozen times lol To sum up: size up, good for hips and bad for chests, beautiful true color, Pockets(!!), fun dress. Plus, my husband was thrilled that it was going back and not going to be another one time wear dress taking up space in our closet!

A little tight if you've got a large chest, I sized up just for the girls. It's hard not to feel gorgeous in all that tulle.

The dress was great and I got complements all night about how elegant I looked! Built in bra made it effortless and the ribbed boning made my waist looks small and provided structure. Only con- some of the boning was poking through the corset- I tried to put fabric between me and the plastic, but still got poked to the point that it left a mark. Note: when my Mom showed my niece a picture she said “she looks just like princess Elsa” (From Frozen….)- I took it as a compliment

I received this as an alternate option when my original selection could not be delivered. It is fairly long, particularly if you are more petite. Built in bra means no extra undergarments, which is a plus. I wish I could have filled out the bust a bit more. Would be better on someone with a small rib cage and full C or D cup size. The quality & color are stunning. Be forewarned, the skirt is a very full tulle.

This ombre style tea length gown is a unique twist for your next black tie affair! The bodice runs small, so I would recommend sizing up for your backup size! It is tea length, so it hits at about mid calf. The color is gorgeous and perfect for summer!

Dress was so pretty in person and I was thrilled with the built in bra but the dress was too big. I'm normally a size 4 and the top on the 2R was still too big around the (not in the bust but the ribcage). A zero would be way too small in the bust but might have been better fit. This dress would flatter most body types though and I imagine would fit right if you are a 34/36/38 in your bra band size (I'm a 30DD).

I have already sent this dress back and will not be wearing it. It is true to size, and in a rather nice fabric, but makes it look like I have enormous hips and a big back. It is just not very nice on me, and I looked as an overdressed prom-going teen, not as an adult. But I see from the pictures available on the site, that it is a nice dress for some people - maybe I am just not thin enough and too athletic for it.

Fit was a little loose, wish I had ordered the 12 to see how it fit, 14 was a tiny bit loose at the top.

RUNS SMALL SO SIZE UP! Unfortunately did not get the chance to wear to my event because the dress was very small, definitely will rent again in a larger size next time.

This dress fit true to size and looked beautiful on my 14 year old daughter who is 5'3" and 105 lbs. The color and fabric are great. She chose not to wear it but it would be a great choice for a prom or wedding because it is formal while still short enough to comfortably dance and get around

I LOVED this dress and got so many compliments.The color was absolutely perfect. At 5'4"it went all the way down to my ankle so lacked the tea length look from the pictures and wasn't as slimming as it looks in the pictures, but was still gorgeous. I felt super confident in it. I am usually a 4-6 but wore an 8 (maybe I am gaining some weight) but I also have fairly large chest and even the 8 felt very tight in the rib cage and chest. I would recommend this rental, but if you have a large chest I'd suggest going up a size.

This dress is really pretty on. The top being a sturdy taffeta and the bottom being the feminine tulle; it has everything you'd want. Being 5'3" this dress came to my ankles and you couldn't see my shoes until I walked. I liked the length and how it isn't your typical dress style. The structure of the top is really nice too. It hooks you in and no need for a bra. The top doesn't stretch at all so order the "true" size you wear, not what you think you'll fit into :) Really pretty!

The dress is BEAUTIFUL! The whole night I would have random strangers come up to me and comment on how beautiful the dress is both in style and color. And my friends would say how pretty I looked with the dress on. My husband even commented several times that it was the perfect dress!

I usually wear an 8P - 10P and the 10R fit perfectly. As I am short, the dress was floor length, but would great on a taller woman and might be ankle/princess length and look just great. There were a few spots on the top when I received the dress, but were not noticeable to anyone else. I felt like a princess in the dress (a senior princess but was age appropriate even for my age!) I did wear a strapless bra to give better lift in the dress.

Love the pockets and the bodice. Skirt was great.
