I asked for size 8 and size 10 for backup. I wore the size 10 because it was more comfortable. If you are going to wear a bra, keep in mind that it can't be your regular one. It is a beautiful dress!

The dress fit great. I'm typically a 16/18, sometimes 20, and I wore the 16, very comfortably. I even had extra room in the bodice. The inside lining fabric was extremely soft and the sequins on the bodice never bothered my arms. I received several compliments on the dress! My only complaint would be that the sequins on the bodice aren't very sparkly, which is what I was looking for for our Hollywood/Oscar themed event.

Pretty snug around the ribcage, but great for anyone who has a bigger bottom half. Wore it with silver satin shoes, but a black or nude or gold would also go. I wore with a iridescent crystal jewelry because the actual dress color is pretty loud. I got slight chaffing under my armpits from the sequins, but wellllll worth it. It was stunning!!!!

Loved this dress for my husband's cousin's wedding! I received so many compliments :) It did run a little small in the chest, so I wore the size 2 when I normally wear a 0. They length was perfect - very classy!

The fit was true to size the color seemed way different to us in actual person it looked more pink than red. I would say this is more for a petite person. I have two younger sisters one is 15 and one is 14 they are the exact same measurements 34A, 26, 35 weight 120 the only thing different is that my 15 year old sister is 5'10".5 and my younger sister is 5'0" they both tried the dress on and my taller sister, it was very very short for her. For my little sister it was an excellent knee length.

I usually wear a size 10 and the 10 fit just right, even a little room to spare. The 8 was real snug, could have worn it but I would have been a little uncomfortable . I wore this to a wedding in Bermuda and it was perfect. Got lots of compliments. The pockets were a great touch, I was able to bring lip gloss and my room key in them, there was room for my phone too but I did not bring it.

This dress was gorgeous! Bright and pretty color, and excellent quality fabric. The back plunges slightly so a low-back bra is needed. For me, any dress with pockets always gets extra points too! The top part of the dress did not cause any friction/rubbing on my arms as other people previously mentioned...and i spent the night dancing without any issues.

The back felt loose but it was still comfortable overall

Belly friendly and plenty of room for large chested women. Love the pockets. The top does require you to stand up straight most of the night. Definitely need a bra that allow for a low back.

Gorgeous dress that I wore to a wedding. A little on the long side (I'm 5'2"). It also runs a little large in the back.

The top was a little itchy where your armpits hit but not unbearable and over all pretty comfy to wear!

The dress was a tad snug around where the top ended and came in, but that was mainly only when I was sitting. It is very flattering and comfortable. Although, I did have to iron the dress before wearing it because it was very wrinkly when I got it. So I would be prepared for that! I enjoyed the dress and I would've boughten it if I could! It was also much more pink that it looked in the pictures which is a beautiful color pink!

It fits true to size! I received lots of compliments! It was very comfortable! I am 4 and a half months pregnant and it was a perfect fit!

I got this dress for a wedding during Memorial Day Weekend. After a shoulder injury and a bad New England winter, I have gained about 15 lbs. and was nervous when only the size 8 was available for the date needed. The dress fit well but I would have liked it to be a little less snug around the waist. Had I been my normal size, I would have been between the 6 and the 8. But the bottom was classy and comfortable. Also the pockets were structured so well you couldn't even tell they were there. Other than that, the dress was wonderful! I received so many compliments and stood out from the crowd. My boyfriend even said I was the best dressed guest. If I could purchase this dress, I would. I'll definitely be renting this again!

This dress was perfect! Not too short, not too "hot pink" and comfortable. The sequins did not bother my arms at all. I wore a normal bra with a back extender because the dress does dip down in the back. The top is a little bit of a boat neck, but even with a regular bra, the straps did not show. I would rent again!

True to size, got the best dress after the brides compliments and it was so comfortable, the only thing is that the beading on the top part will scratch your arms if you dance and have as much fun as I did in this dress. I used this dress to go to a wedding and it was perfect! I chose this dress because I wanted to use something elegant but yet not a gown.

Rented this for a gala I was running, so I was looking for certain criteria. Color had to stand out (nobody can find the woman in the black dress when something goes wrong), had to be comfortable, had to be festive but not too sparkly as I was speaking from a lit stage, and had to have pockets (I can never fit everything I need in a clutch and a purse is impractical). I was a little nervous renting this because it is so different from the things I usually wear, but this dress was perfect for what I needed. The color was appropriate for a spring gala and distinctive so vendors, ticket buyers, and volunteers could all easily find me. The skirt was roomy enough that the dress is incredibly comfortable (and you don't have to squeeze into spanx on a hot night). The pockets were so deep that I could easily fit everything I needed without it being obvious I was carrying anything. It looked great against the velvet curtain from the lit stage. And people loved it. I can't tell you how many compliments I received. It was a fun dress to wear, I would rent it again!

Pockets were fun, color was beautiful and high-low hem felt young and classy (and floor length gowns were too long). Wore this to a black tie preferred wedding reception and couldn't have been happier. I didn't notice issues with sequins rubbing on arms as others have mentioned. I paired it with earring and bracelet from RTR. I would recommend this and would rent again. Stylist Brenda suggested it and I'm so glad she did. RTR customer service is unbelievable. At 6pm Friday, I called and dresses were in my house at 10am.

Dress fit very true to size and because of the longer back, it didn't matter that I'm on the shorter end.

Wore this dress to a black tie fundraiser event at the zoo in New Orleans. It felt great. Has a low back, so normal bra wouldn't work. I probably could've gotten away with no bra at all. It fit true to size. Really accentuates your waist and the full skirt is great for pear shapes like me. Have to admit, I was a little uncomfortable after eating due to the tight waist band, but I honestly expected that. Thanks RTR!! Great experience with my first rental!

So comfortable and great camouflage for a belly - no need for spanx! Order your regular size - I should have exchanged for a 4 but did not have time and it was tighter around my waist and ribs than I would have preferred. Got compliments all day and felt like a star!

This dress was so easy to wear and very comfortable. I was concerned that the skirt portion might wrinkle easily, but it was fine. I steamed it after unpacking and it was great all night. The skirt does poof out, but not in a bad way. I posted pics showing the fabric up close, and of the high/low hemline. I wore gold shoes and jewelry. The fabric beneath the lace on top is nude color. I have a short torso and often have problems with too much fabric between the shoulders and waist - this dress was perfect! Might be a problem for someone with a long torso. Received lots of compliments too!

I got compliments all night long. It just looks expensive! It fit like a glove. It was a tiny bit irritating with the sequins but not too bad. The color is way more hot pink than I expected but honestly I loved the pink better. The dress was modest and classic but not boring - I really stood out. It was way better in person than I expected! Loved wearing it all night!

I got so many compliments on this dress. Loved the pockets for easy access to my phone. I wore a six as I usually do. You can go silver or gold with accessories which is convenient for last minute styling. The sequins under the arms are a bit annoying but if you're on the dance floor with your hands in the air all night-you will quickly forget how scratchy they are. I am pretty flat chested so I went without a bra due to the low back and it was fine. The top is fitted enough to get away with it! Wish I could have kept this dress. Maybe I'll have to rent it in black next time.......

Wore this to my cousin's April wedding in Louisiana and got many compliments. The fit is true to size, and the skirt has lots of room. The back does come down just a touch too low for a regular bra, so I wore a strapless, but the dress had plenty of support so it wasn't a problem for me.

First of all, I love RTR! This was my first time and it was a great experience. Originally I ordered two different dresses not knowing if I wanted to wear long or short. A day before my dresses were supposed to arrive my short dress was not going to make it on time, so RTR let me pick another dress to replace it regardless of cost. This was the dress I picked and I couldn't be happier! I received so many compliments, the color (although bright) is really flattering. The beaded top was amazing, it does run small (I got both the 4 and 6, and although I usually wear a 4 I ended up wearing the 6). I did have to get a strapless, backless stick on bra to help "hold up" the dress since the bottom is so stiff and structured. It was very comfortable to wear and great to dance in!

Wore this to a wedding, got many compliments. Fit was great, since the bodice is heavily beaded and the skirt is away from the body, you don't have to worry about any rogue fat rolls or cellulite making an appearance. You will need a low back bra as the back comes down too low for a regular bra. I guess you could also go without because you won't see anything, but that is not my style. The dress is a woven fabric so it does not stretch at all so I would definitely be safe and order the size up as your 2nd.

Beautiful color. Thick, rich material for skirt with sequin overlay that managed not to feel scratchy. Easy to move in, easy to breathe in. Flattering design and the bell shaped skirt is really fun. Would definitely recommend.

I got compliments all night from friends and strangers! This dress was so cute and it camouflaged my midsection while showing off my legs. It is a little low in the back, and because I am broad across the front and back I had to go with the bigger size. My only tiny complaint is the sequins scratching up the underside of my arms. But it was a small price to pay for wearing such a gorgeous dress. I wish I owned it!! Thanks for a great experience RTR!

I absolutely love this dress. However, I thought the skirt was going to be a silky material but it was ribbed. The pockets were a bonus since I could store my phone without anyone noticing so I could snap pictures on the dance floor. This dress was only tight in my rib cage but the 10 would have been wayy to big. I highly suggest this dress for a formal event!

Couldn't wear a regular bra due to the low back but didn't need to. The material was thick and fitted enough to provide support without one. The pockets were fabulous and you'd never notice them if you didn't know they were there. I would absolutely rent this again!!!

Normally I take a 6/8 in dresses, but I read the reviews for the black version of this dress that stated that the chest portion ran very small. I'm very chesty (36 DD+) so I ordered an 8 and a 10. Couldn't breath in the 8, so I went with the 10, though even with that one I had to forego a bra in order to be comfortable in the chest. In the 10, I still had an inch or two of room in the waist, but the dress is well-made and fell beautifully so it wasn't noticeable. The length is sort of high-low and flares at the hips. There isn't a petticoat, but the fabric of the skirt portion has some stiffness to it so it retains it shape even after dancing etc. I loved this dress and would rent it again in a heartbeat. Do be aware that the back is a bit low so you may have trouble wearing a normal bra, but going bra-less is easy because the sequins on the bodice obscure any nipple action.

Absolutely loved this dress! It fits true to size - it was slightly big in my shoulders but I am petite and I thought the length was great! Love the detail and the bright color. I just wore cups since the back has a deep V but overall it was the perfect dress. I wish I could keep it! Also, Rent the Runway has outstanding customer service. My original shipment of this dress was delayed from a snow storm and when I called they were extremely understanding and overnighted me the same dress free of charge. I highly recommend this site and plan to use it in the future!

Unfortunately this is the only pic I got of the full dress- the party was that fun! I stood out from all of the black cocktail dresses. I received countless compliments and felt amazing. It's true to size at the waist and then gets very poofy- which was nice for me bc my stomach is my worst area. Comfortable and gorgeous!

It was great except I foolishly ordered a size too small - and didn't leave myself enough time to have a new one overnighted. I squeezed into it, but barely. Overall great dress though.

This is my first RTR experience and it was great! This dress was so much fun to wear. The fit was great (a little loose in the chest area, but I'm a 34a) but great overall. I have a long torso so the waistline of the dress hit higher than my natural waist (on the ribs) so I had to size up to 4 to be able to take full breaths. The color is gorgeous and can be accented with silver or gold accessories.

Lots of the room in the tummy area, but didn't make it look like a baby bump. I loved that this dress had pockets! First event I've been to in awhile where I didn't need to bring a purse. I would recommend having the dress steamed or pressed before an event. The bottom skirt shows wrinkles easily.
