The bust ran REALLY small for me (I wore a sz 10 and I'm 36DD and had to wear a jacket because the back wouldn't zip at my bustline). The fabric is great quality and twirled perfectly throughout the night!

Movement on the skirt makes you look like an amazing hot pink evil villian/goddess. Pretty sure I had more compliments on this look than anything else I've rented and the social media praise was immense. I'm also a couple months postpartum and the waist/skirt hid my baby pooch.

Amazing dress, love the asymmetrical cut and pockets! Very beautiful, but runs small in the chest! Definitely size up, especially if you're bustier. It's very fitted in the bust and natural waist and has no stretch to the fabric. The regular length was perfect on my 5'7" frame. Pair it with delicate jewelry for an elegant look!

I made an appointment at the flat iron RTR in NYC a couple of days before the event I attended, I originally settled on a different dress (without seeing this one) that was unavailable in my size until later in the day when they could have it delivered. My original dress ended up being OKAY when I tried it on but I didn't feel completely comfortable. I told a sales associate this, who immediately sprung into action to help me find something better to wear. This dress happened to be in my room for a future appointment, I tried it on and couldn't settle for anything less! It is one of a kind! The staff at this location is so helpful and fabulous! The fit of the dress is definitely small- I have 36 DD-DDD and I normally wear a size 10 dress, In this dress I wore a size 12 and the chest area was still very close to uncomfortably tight (especially while sitting down), the sales associate also informed me that this dress runs small on most people. There is also boning in the dress that is slightly uncomfortable (might be because of my chest), but was easily corrected by pushing the wires in the other direction throughout the night. Over all this dress is fabulous, I felt so beautiful and recieved complaints all night long. I wore 5 inch hells and the length was perfect.

The dress was a slightly heavier material than I anticipated but it looked exactly how it was pictured. It was pretty wrinkled from the packaging but steamed easily.

I cannot say enough good things about this dress by Monique L'Huillier. The color was stunning. I was worried from the images online that I wouldn't like the underside of the dress that you see from the hi-low design but it wasn't even a factor. The dress is so amazing on and the movement is incredible - after wearing all day and night for a wedding and reception my only issue was with the boning in the bodice but I honestly would expect it. I didn't wear a bra and the top fit fine (no tugging). I got so many compliments all night long. I felt amazing and it was so fun with the volume in the skirt, pockets, and the two shades of pink. If I hadn't taken so many photos in this dress I would be planning to wear it again. I need it in every color! People have been asking me to borrow it but I had to tell them I was borrowing it myself. Again the only negative - the boning and also if you are short - probably not the dress for you. I was in 4 inch heels because of dancing (could have done 5 if it was just an event or dinner) and the back would still hit the ground a bit. Plus it is a lot of skirt getting in and out the car and sitting without getting to wrinkly was a challenge. Overall though one of my favorite dresses from RTR to date. You will not be disappointed if you choose this dress.

THIS DRESS HAS POCKETS!!

This is an incredible dress and surprisingly dramatic in real life. I ordered it one size up after reading the reviews and it fit perfectly. It's pretty long too. I'm six feet tall and the train almost touched the floor, even in my four-inch heels. Wearing this dress was a wonderful experience and I recommend it for any formal occasion. Be warned that it is quite a showstopper and might even upstage the bride a little... Everywhere I went, there were eyes on me (in a good way). The bodice is supposed to fit snugly. It has some boning to give it structure but is not uncomfortable. I wore it with an adhesive backless bra and it definitely showed the decolletage in a tasteful, classy way. My only complaint about it that it arrived very wrinkled and the wrinkles were stubborn to get out even with a steamer.

This dress is definitely meant for someone with a small bust, and the fabric has no stretch to it. It was comfortable and the pockets were awesome! I didn't need a clutch or anything. The one con I had was the hanging straps kept sneaking out but with the help from a watchful boyfriends eye we kept tucking them back in. I would wear this dress every day if I could!! So many compliments!

The dress felt very on-trend and was a lot of fun to wear. It has pockets!! I enjoyed the night -- it was easy to dance in the dress, too, which was nice. I am inbetween a size 2 and 4 and the 4 was a great fit (a little tight but in a strapless dress, that is a good thing).

I LOVE this dress!!! So ladylike and beautiful. I received so many compliments and it was so fun to wear. This is a great dancing dress with the hemline. The bodice has great structure without being binding. It was wrinkled when I got it, and I was rushed and accidentally ironed the 8 so that's what I ended up wearing. I wanted to wear the 6, but I had a ditz moment and didn't have time to iron a second dress. Either way, love it!

It was a perfect fit, and made me feel like a princess. It was incredible for dancing and absolutely a show stopper! I will definitely rent this again!

Overall, fit was very good. A little snug in the bust area but fit great elsewhere. I'm 5'2 and wore 4 inch heels and the back of the dress just touched the floor which was perfect!

The dress runs very small I am normally a 10 and had to size up to a 14. It was over all very flattering once I had the proper size.

Fit was good. A smidge bigger than I wanted in the waist but gorgeous nonetheless. Pockets were awesome, so nice to carry my own lipgloss and phone without a purse!

I rented this for a gala, and I could not have loved it more!! It flows when you walk, and the pockets are awesome. The 6 was a little loose up top, and the 4 was just a bit snug. The skirt is forgiving, which is wonderful! I went with the 4 because I was worried I might have to pull up the 6 all night. (4 stayed in place all night!) The dress is just beautiful, heavy weight fabric, and as others have said, I did have to steam it to get the wrinkles out before the event. I got compliments from strangers all night. Loved it, didn't want to send it back! My first RTR experience, and I will be back!!

A bit long if you're not super tall (it was great for me but would have dragged if I wasn't 5'10")

I ordered this using my unlimited subscription. It's not a dress I would normally pick out to wear, but it was available in my size so I thought "what the heck!" I wore this to a wedding and received so many compliments!! The high-low cut makes it really stand out. Fun dress!!

This dress was stunning. Fit was comfy, a bit lower cut in the back than expected and to top it off then dress had pockets!

To explain how many compliments I got on this dress, I got up from the dinner table to use the restroom and got four compliments on my way. In terms of fit, the corset top portion was very snug in the ribs but slightly less so in the chest. If I had a slightly larger chest, the fit would have been perfect! I wore about three inch heels and the dress fell right where I wanted it! One warning, this dress is very warm as the fabric is very thick and doesn't breathe well. If you are going to an outdoor summer wedding or plan on dancing the night away just know that this dress will keep you feeling toasty.

Great fit on my 32b top-- tight enough to feel secure. The build in bra is genius. I was able to take the $80 sticky bra right back to the store.

I got compliments all night long, and my friends said people kept pointing at my dress as I walked by. It is really a belle of the ball dress! It has a built-in bra which helps secure it to the perfect snugness so it doesn't slip. I'm 5'2", and based on the other reviews, I knew the length would work. I had on VERY high heels and it just barely touched the ground in the back. Super comfortable to wear! My hotel room selfie doesn't nearly do it justice!

I am short, curvy, short waisted, and athletic so things are tough to fit me. This dress actually fit well - but I am typically a 8-12 and ended up wearing the 16 because of the fit at my rib cage. Ended up being a bit big in the bust. (as you can see in the photo) Again, I am a tough fit. It's a comfortable dress and just so beautiful and so fun. You will be noticed in this dress for sure!!!

Fit was perfect for a 2. Unfortunately couldn't wear a bra, and with a small bust, I was worried, but at almost-32C it was absolutely fine. I am not curvy at all, but the bottom portion would cover wide hips. Did LOTS of dancing and the dress didn't budge. Couldn't have been happier with the comfort, fit, color, quality!

The dress was honestly so breathtaking in real life. So much so that I didn't want to take it off once we got home from the races! I received compliments from everyone and more importantly I felt beautiful wearing it. I honestly loved it so much Id rent it again.

The dress comes very wrinkled so it needs to be steamed prior to wearing it. Also, the top fit a bit snug on my bust but the rest of the dress fit perfectly.

Runs a bit large on top- a 0 would have been perfect. I have a narrow and small ribcage though.. Is also a bit long - I'm 5'6" and wore 4" heels and then it was perfect but if hadn't been would have trailed on the floor.

I received complements all night long in this dress! My husband and I chaired a fundraiser not black tie, but I wanted something other than a black dress. I definitely stood out! Great dress- I am 5'2" so it was a tad long, but still worked, even though I wore kitten heels knowing I would be on my feet all night. A Last minute invite to a gala and of course the first thing I did was go to rent the runway. Since I was limited on style and siZe and options , this dress was slightly big up top, but I made it woks since the night was chilly so i kept my jacket on . Goregeous dress that got compliments from both men and women , young and old! I plan on renting it again for a summer wedding, but this time in the proper size .

The 4R fit perfectly. The fabric is a beautiful color and is a very nice weight. I loved having the pockets on the dress! I rented this for a white tie dinner and could not have been happier. This is a gorgeous dress! I could not have been happier.

The size 2 & 0 felt the same at the waist, but the 0 felt a little tighter at the bust area. I choose to go with the 0 since I didn't want to be pulling up my dress the entire night. So if you are bigger in the bust, stay with your true dress size, but if you are not endowed, size down. Regarding the length, I wore 3 inch heels and the back of the dress was grazing the floor....I loved going down stairs because it billowed out and made me feel like Cinderella (if she wore a pink dress). I had no issues walking or dancing in this dress. No one stepped onto the back of the dress the entire night. I would describe the color as a rich raspberry. The dress fabric was nice & thick but didn't overheat me. I absolutely loved this dress and received so many compliments. Oh & best of all pockets! I was able to keep my cell phone on me all night without having to awkwardly hold it in my hand. It was hard to say goodbye to it & the necklace (which I also rented from RTR). If you want to stand out at an event, definitely rent this dress.

The fabric of the dress is quite thick and it's well-made. It was a bit wrinkled when I received it, but I steamed it and the wrinkles came out easily. I wanted to wear the 8, but it wasn't available. I got the 10 and it was a little roomy in the bust for me. I'm a 34D. Overall, the fit was good with an interior bra, so I didn't have to wear any additional support. I'm 5'5 and then back of the dress was just above the floor with a 4" heel on my YSL platforms. I had multiple people stop me and compliment the dress. It's an attention grabber, so not something I'd buy, but totally a great rental.

I rented this dress for the National Italian American Foundation's New York Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on April 8. The event called for cocktail attire. I'm usually a "little black dress" kinda gal, so I decided to go way out of my comfort zone and rent this stunning dress....and it definitely paid off!! I was happy to see that the color was way more vibrant in person than it was show pictured on the model on the RTR site. I'm 5'1" so the back of the dress did touch the floor a bit. The bodice has built-in boning/bra so you really don't have to wear a strapless bra with it (although I did). I received compliments all night from men and women alike and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. I felt like a princess and I didn't want to take it off. I highly recommend this dress if you're looking for a show-stopping, glamorous dress.

I agree with most of the other reviews. Pretty dress, color is a little pinker than the stock photo. Bust runs small. I'm 34D with a wide back and rib cage and breathing in the size 6 was difficult but I wore it anyway! I felt very secure in the dress. Does have a low neckline. I was more self conscious about that than anything else. I ordered a 4 and a 6. The 4 that arrived was filthy (I already let rtr know) and thankfully didn't fit at the top. At the top back zipper I had about a 4" gap that wouldn't close so it made me nervous about how the 6 would fit. The 6 had about an 1.5-2" gap at top zipper that my husband was able to zip me. I was afraid to size up in fear the 8 would be too big at the top.. Everyone was jealous of my pockets. And while I couldn't take deep breathes due to the snug fit up top, it was overall a lovely dress.

From the outside eye, the dress is perfect. A few cons though, I will agree with other reviews I read that the top runs small. What i noticed and didnt read though is it stretched out throughout the night. There is some boning in the bodice but doesn't come up into the chest area which I believe is why the top ended up becoming very loose through out the night. Also, I'm normally a fan of boning because it keeps the dress sturdy and strong, but it was popping out the bottom of the inside lining and was jabbing me in my rib cage all night. It was quite painful, I had to keep going to the bathroom to wrap tissue around tips of the boning. This needs to be fixed. They always say beauty is pain, but I would think a dress like this would be better made, knowing the designer.

Both dresses fit pretty well - however I decided to go with the dress that had less signs of wear in the zipper and the ribbing on the inside. Also, the material does wrinkle, so I suggest ironing if possible. I tried to steam it out but my steamer wasn't strong enough. It was perfect for a black tie event where many wear basic black gowns - I felt like I stood out in an elegant way, and it had pockets! Game changer :)

I was nervous that the fit at the bust would be too tight, but it turned out fine. I think it's pretty true to size, and was very flattering. The hook at the top of the zipper was broken, but it stayed up. I loved this dress and would definitely rent it again. Also, POCKETS!
