The details for my evening changed drastically but I still wore this dress and had a lot of fun with some girlfriends. It's not super formal so it's great for a night out or a holiday party. I only had a slight issue with the bust area because of my cup size. Someone with a smaller cup size would probably be more comfortable. I loved the tulle on the side and the deep navy blue.

It was little big in the boob area, there was a slight gap on the top. Otherwise it fit perfect and was ridiculously comfortable. I got a ton of compliments and felt great and could dance around in it! I highly recommend this dress.

My initial dress I ordered was too big but RTR sent me this one just in time for my event. It was beautiful deep navy color & fit perfectly. The front detail makes it interesting & I got a lot of compliments. The dress is definitely snug/fitted around the top & I didn't have to wear a bra but decided to wear a Nu-bra just to give me some shape. I was also a little worried it would be a little long since I'm short but the hem hit just above my knees and overall looked great.

I have never received more compliments!!! This dress is extremely well made and beautiful. The fabric is sturdy and doesn't lose its shape. Like other reviewers said, it is more blue than blue/black. I am 5'4" and the length was just at my knee. I was super comfortable and wore a strapless bra with it. If you are considering this dress for a formal event- you won't be disappointed. It surpassed my expectations!!! (This was my back up dress and I had a wonderful experience- will rent again!)

Rented this for my 10th anniversary vow renewal. This dress is stylish, very well made, and photographs beautifully. Many have commented that it's difficult to zip up by yourself (and it is!), so I wanted to share what worked for me. I stepped into it, spun it around until the zipper was in the front, zipped it up, spun it back to the side, and then slipped my arm into the armhole. You'll feel a bit like a contortionist, but it works. Otherwise, I don't know how anyone could get into this dress without help!

I loved this dress! It was super comfortable and I didn't have to wear a bra with it. Just as others said, the color isn't as deep in person as it appears on the model. Also, the zipper was a minor annoyance. I wish I owned this dress!!

This dress is a show stopper. I wore it for my brother-in-law's Key West beach wedding. I wanted something cocktail length but still formal looking. The dress is so detailed and structured, it's incredible. I got so many complements both at the wedding and from the pictures posted online. Only problem I had is that it's snug in the chest area, and its hard to zip on your own.

I ordered sizes 8 and 10. Post baby, I've been a size 8, but I ordered 1 size up just in case. I wore the size 8, which was a tiny bit loose at the top, so I was able to wear a bra (Victoria's Secret convertible type). The waist was snug, but not uncomfortable. The poof at the front right was just the right amount of poof. Got many compliments from guests at the wedding!

This dress is fabulous and definitely a great option for a black-tie or cocktail event. The blue color is very deep and beautiful in person and the material is pretty thick. It has a black mesh ruffling detail on the bottom right side, which gives this style a unique flare. This dress runs true to size, but definitely size down as a backup because it seems to run a bit large in the chest. You can either go bra-less or wear a strapless bra, your choice! At 5'7" this dress hit me right at the knee so it is definitely appropriate if you are looking to wear it to a more conservative event. Overall a great dress!

This dress fit very well, it can be a little tight in the bust if you're over a C cup and planning on wearing a strapless bra. It's comfortable and easy to move in. The side zipper is a little sticky/tricky, so I had someone help me zip up.

This dress was absolutely beautiful, and top notch quality. I rented sizes 4 and 6, and the 4 fit perfectly. I wore this to a November wedding, and it actually matched the color theme of the wedding! The zipper is a little tricky, so I had my husband zip me up. When I received the dress, I was the first person to wear the particular size, as the dress still had its tags on it. I don't think I will ever buy a dress for a wedding again, since my first experience was so awesome!!!! Goes great with statement earring and a nude or silver shoe!

I tried this on at the Georgetown store and on the hangar (and even online) I wasn't sold on it, but when I put it on it was clearly the dress for the wedding I was going to. The flounce balanced out the asymmetrical bodice in a really lovely way. The only thing I would have liked different is for the whole thing to be mirrored as I have a sleeve tattoo I wanted to show off. The 20 fit well but was a tiny bit snug around my ribs. I had to have someone else do up the zipper for me. There was a little bit of gaping on the strapless side, but nothing too bad. The 22 I could do up myself but the gaping was much worse.

I loved the elegant one shoulder look. I received compliments all night. It was a true size 10 - I have a small waist and a curvy figure and it hugged me in all the right places.

This dress was beautiful! Very good quality, arrived in great condition. I normally wear between a 10 and 12. I went with wearing the 12- it was slightly snug in the waist but barely noticeable. I was very comfortable all night after lots of eating, drinking and dancing. I received so many compliments and the pictures came out great. Will definitely rent again!

This was my first dress from RTR and it was a good experience. Absolutely loved this dress; was thinking to wearing this to another event. So glad I got the backup size. Since I have a large chest I went with the bigger size. While I felt that it was larger than I preferred in the waist area it was perfect in the chest. Super fun dress and I felt great!!!

It does run a bit small. I am short and short waisted and had to pin the shoulder, but no one could see the temporary alteration.

The dress runs true to size. The actual dress doesn't have that shine to it like in the pictures, it looks more like a dark blue thick cotton material. However, that royal blue color will show up in professional photos because of the lighting. Because of the asymmetrical pleating, the zipper was difficult to zip up, I had to try a couple times to get it to work. But other than that, I received compliments ALL night from the valet, to the coat check, to my coworkers at the holiday party about the dress. Makes you feel like a princess!

This is a fun, elegant dress with lots of tasteful details that make it stand out in a crowd. The dress is very well made and the material is great. I loved the navy blue, shiny hue of the material. The dress runs a bit big around the chest but I didn't go one size down because I wanted to be comfortable. I would definitely rent this dress again.

This was my back up dress and was extremely too big on me due to my first shipment getting lost. I had to do some tweaking to get it to work but no one could notice and it looked great. I'd love to rent it again in my real size. Great for girls with hips and smaller up top.

This dress was actually a last minute decision for me after I got a notification the week of my event alerting me to the fact that the original dress I picked was no longer available. I have to say, I was so glad my original pick wasn't available because this dress was FABULOUS! With a heavier-set figure, I felt that the extra flutter of fabric cascading down the front was extremely slimming and flattering. I was able to dance the night away comfortably and got many compliments. I typically wear a 20W though, and I felt that the 22W was a perfect fit. The only area that felt a tad big was right under the right armpit (the arm without the strap), but to others, it wasn't even noticeable.

The size 2 fit well, it was a little loose in the bust but nothing fashion tape couldn't fix. I wore this for an 80's themed Christmas Party and felt like I didn't blend in with all the leggings and oversized shirts that most people wore. I received compliments on this dress all night!

Ordered size 2 and 4 because the reviews made it sound like it might run big in the chest area for me. I am a 32C and have a narrow upper body. The size 2 was a bit too snug around the waist, but the 4 was perfect in the chest and waist! One shoulder look was adorable, especially with the peek-a-boo slit! Hard to send back!

This dress was actually a replacement dress after the one I originally ordered became unexpectedly unavailable in my size. Rent the Runway was really helpful and allowed me to choose two replacement dresses free of charge. I wore this dress for Law Prom. It was super comfortable, cute, and fit really well. It paired well with heels and the flats that I changed into later in the evening. The dress was a bit wrinkled out of the bag but not so much that it was a problem. The neckline is flattering and great for a more athletic body type. Overall this turned out to be a lovely, unexpected dress that saved the day!

The dress arrived on time, one of the boning pieces was sticking out and dug into me all night but it wasn't terrible. The zipper had been repaired at some point so it was difficult to zip in that one spot but overall it was perfect.

This was my first time using RTR. Have heard about RTR but was nervous because when you're a big girl looking for a beautiful dress, it can be challenging! The dress came in and it looked absolutely amazing! The waist was a lil snug but wasn't super uncomfortable. As with many other reviews, the zipper was a bit of challenge too, a bit sticky, but worked through that as well. What I loved the most about the dress was the fabric and how the dress is structured - it def helped minimize/hide all of my problems areas around the waist area! The poof to the side was what made the dress - that added so much fun and elegance to the dress! I seriously can't even recall the number of compliments I rec'd on how beautiful I looked that night!! All thanks to this amazing blue dress! I will certainly be coming back to RTR for my next dress!!

#40th birthday. The color is gorgeous, it is a navy but not too dark as the black netting material is definitely offset making it easy to accessorize! I went with black shoes and black/ silver jewelry. I honestly purchased 6 dresses and returned them all not feeling satisfied, I took a chance on RTR. It was the only dress I picked and felt satisfaction with but with only days before my party, I was nervous about it fitting. I called and spoke to a stylist who was super awesome!! The dresses arrived and the 2 was an absolute perfect fit. I agree that the zipper is not simple but worth the mini struggle! I loved the entire experience. Very impressed with RTR!

I was really happy wearing this dress! I ordered it as a back up and sure enough, the first dress (which maxed out at size 14) did not fit. I would have preferred to wear the 18 but the zipper was completely busted when it arrived. The dress I wore look great on the outside but there were definitely spots on the inside where it had been sewn and patched up. Overall I was incredibly please with the service and happy to find a dress that suited me!

This dress was PERFECT for chaperoning our school prom! I received compliments about it all night and, more importantly, was completely comfortable! I usually wear between a 16 and a 18, and the 18W fit perfectly. The fabric is heavy and the dress is structured, providing a good bit of form so you look put together all night. It was a tad bit big underneath the arm, but a little pin and it was fine. I loved, loved, loved this dress! My husband even asked if I could go ahead and buy it because he loved it so much too! :)

I loved this dress! I wore it to our opening night opera party, and I was definitely the best dressed. I am tall, and I was pleased that it was not too short even while sitting. I received tons of compliments throughout the evening, and I am still receiving them even after the event! I would recommend wearing these with a big pair of crystal earrings. It arrived smelling very nice, too!

Fits very true to size. I am petite and it was not too long. Easy to dance in because of the wide skirt. A big plus is that you can wear a bra. Very comfortable. Sexy and classy. Great combo!

Runs big but really only in the bust. I ordered a size 2 (my regular size) and a size 0 as a backup thanks to the tips on the site. Sure enough I didn't have enough up top to really rock the look. But the size 0 was perfect. A little snug in the waist but not at all uncomfortable. And everything about the order was smooth. I've told all my friends that this is the way to go! No more buying dresses for hundreds of dollars only to wear them once or twice. I host up to 20 events a year and from now on I will RENT THE RUNWAY :)

I ordered sizes 4 and 2, ultimately went with the 2 because it fit my bust better. It was definitely difficult to zip, not sure I would have been able to get it zipped by myself. But I received so many compliments all night and felt extremely comfortable. I didn't have to tug it up a single time nor worry about my strapless bra showing. The fabric is high quality and held its shape so well which is flattering on a mom body after two kids . I was extremely happy with RTR for my first time!
