What can I say this dress delivered! The fabric is sumptuous, the cut is decadent. I chose it for a family photo shoot. It was absolutely fantastic! I wish it was available for my Christmas party this week!! It's address I would absolutely rent again! It's sheer perfection! i'm busty so it was nice to see that the cut wasn't too revealing but extremely flattering. You won't be disappointed. The pockets are an elegant touch. can't say enough good. Only critique I had is I had 1 return bag. I literally had to stuff 2 gowns in the bag to return them. Made me kind of sad because I didn't want to ruin the dress. This is the dress I would love to purchase!! Thank you rent the runway!

I loved this dress and so did everyone who saw me in it. You need confidence if you’re going to wear this dress because it truly is a head-turner. Note, the dress is puffy so when you sit expect it to be a little fluffy. Other than that, the dress is comfortable.

I rented it for an outdoor summer wedding. It was very hot and humid, and the dress is heavy with layers, but I am still am so glad I chose it! I just suffered in silence. The 8R fit, but was tight in the bust area, I wear a 34DD, and the 10 R has plenty of room! 8R was my backup, I would say this fit true to size.

I wore this to a "black tie optional" wedding and received so many compliments all night! The pockets are awesome and you can easily move around. I will say the straps are big at the top but still manageable.

This is the perfect dress for hourglass/pear-shaped people. It is simple, but elegant; tailored, yet comfortable (to wear for 12 hours); and sexy, but subtle (enough to wear in the presence of your in-laws). Order based on your bust/upper body size and have a ball wearing it!

This dress fit me like a glove. I absolutely adored it and wish it was in my permanent collection, ha! The high-lo was perfect for an early June black tie wedding. The wide straps and effortless style meant no fuss. I was able to wear this dress sans bra because of the thick, dark fabric, which meant an easier fit given the deep v-neck back. Dress felt sturdy and was easy to dance, drink, and dine in!

This dress is just perfect. It was flattering, fit perfectly and I didn't have to worry about it being too long because it's short on the front. It was for a black tie wedding and was great because it was windy and the back would just float. The only con is that there's no give in the rib cage area, but it surprisingly fit perfectly with my larger bust which is usually my issue with dresses. I got tons of compliments and I felt great all night.

I rented this dress for my senior prom as a sort of "fun" option for me. I loved how different, but still classic it looks. The dress arrived exactly as predicted and both dresses were packaged nicely. I was expecting the size 8 to fit me better but the torso was gapping a bit and I ended up wearing the size 6 instead. We did not have to do a whole lot of steaming to the skirt as the few wrinkles fell out beautifully. The night of prom, everyone gave me so many kind compliments and I felt absolutely gorgeous! Wish I didn't have to return the dress, amazing rental!

This dress is beautiful, a little darker than I thought when I opened the package but it photographs wonderfully. The pockets were very handy, even though I forgot about them until we sat down to dinner and my boyfriend noticed them, very subtle. It definitely runs large, the 2R fit snugly at my natural waist, was the perfect length with 4inch heels, but the straps buckled a bit in the back when I would slouch so watch that posture. I didn't wear any bra underneath it, came a little too low in the back but the fabric was thick enough that I didn't need to. Would definitely recommend, had a great first RTR experience.

I have been wearing a 6 lately but the 4 actually fit better. I did not need a bra with it as the fit was tight on top. It is the most AMAZING dress and I got countless compliments on it. The only thing that was unexpected was that I got asked if I was the "mother of the bride" several times b/c it was such a FANCY dress. I felt slightly overdressed for a Southern California wedding and I could have done w/o that reference but other than that...I LOVED it SO much and I highly recommend for a formal affair.

I'm 5'5 and 138-143 lbs. 38, full C bra. Size 6 was too tight around the chest (would not zip) and wore size 8 which was perfect. Wore with Spanx for smooth middle sectIon which is always my trouble spot.

Rent this dress for a formal wedding, this was my secon choice my first one didn't fit.., I want to own this dress , perfect lenght, the pockets are a plus .over all I feel like a star

The fit was tighter on the top and I didn't have to wear a bra with it, which was nice. The tulle underneath gave the dress the perfect silhouette and bounce while walking in it. The blue is more of a navy and not very shiny and the bottom is a royal blue. This dress can get a little warm due to all of the layers, so be careful if wearing it in the summer. I got lots of compliments and I'm very pleased with it. I ordered a size 10 as well, but my typical size 8 fit perfectly and brought my waist in well. If you're considering this dress, don't second guess yourself and just order it. You won't be sorry :)

I am 5'4", 136 lbs, 36D, and was able to wear the 6R, but probably would have been more comfortable in the 8R. I got a special strap for my bra which lowered the back strap a bit so it wouldn't show (~$15 on Amazon). I was worried that at 5'4" with 1.5 inch heels the back of the dress would drag on the ground, but it was just above the ground, which worked out great. I didn't need a purse because everything I wanted to carry fit in the pockets, and I could take pictures on the dance floor because I had my phone with me! I loved everything about this dress and didn't want to give it back. Note to Rent the Runway: The 4R had a hook and eye clasp on the back, but the 6R just had a hook and a thin loop of string. The string managed to do the job, but an actual eye clasp would have felt sturdier and looked better, I think.

I could not have loved this dress more! It was so classy and well made, I really didn't want to send it back. I asked my fiancé if I could get married in it and unfortunately he said no haha! I wore it to the Naval Academy's ring dance, a very formal event. I'm short, only 5'2 so I was a little worried about the length but with roughly 4 inch heels it was perfect! In fact if my shoes were any taller I think the dress would have been too short. Bottom line I loved this dress

The dress can be hard to zip because of the seam but it went up. The straps are a little bit loose but it could be that my torso is a little bit shorter than most. At 5' I was really concerned about finding a gown that wouldn't drag on the floor all night. With my 5" heels this dress was hanging at just the right length. When I switched over to flats it dragged a hair but then I just hitched it up and swung the skirt around. It had some great movement and the fabric was very flattering. It gave me a defined waistline and the skirt hid anything the spanx didn't take care of. I accessorized with a big statement necklace and simple earrings and bracelet. Pulled the hair back to let the dress take center stage. It was definitely a stand out in a sea of black tie gowns.

This dress was so much fun to wear! It was very comfortable. I usually wear an 8 but needed a 10 with ML designs. The fabric is quite substantial. Be sure to have a steamer in hand to take care of any wrinkles from shipping. I had to wear a backless bra because the back dips so low. There is a crinoline under the skirt which makes this high/low hem line fun and flirty to wear. I received compliments all night long. Even strangers stopped me to comment on my dress. I loved every minute wearing this dress. I didn't want the night to end because I knew my time with the dress would have had come to an end. I think the dress was true to size. It was a bit tight on me. I should have gotten a size 12, but I was in denial that I needed a 12. I'm very short (4'10.75"), and I was worried about the dress dragging the floor. I did step on it two or three times, but it was not as problematic as I suspected it might have been. People said it, but I didn't believe it. The material is not at all satin like.

I am a very busty, curvy gal and this dress fit my curves perfectly. The top was tight on my bust giving me amazing cleavage but a little (like microscopically tiny) loose on my shoulders, not enough to even bother, if I owned the dress I might have it taken in there (might). The dress cinched perfectly at the waist and flared out allowing movement for tons of dancing and twirling on the dance floor. There was also a pleasantly surprising amount of tulle under the skirt that made me feel like a ballerina. I loved the high to low cut of the skirt because I felt like I was wearing a tea length dress but wasn't worried about my dress blowing up while trying to hail a cab. The material was thick and sturdy - I felt like a million bucks! The blue photographs beautifully and I received compliments from everyone. I ordered a 2 and a 4, wore the 4. I should have ordered up (a 6) because the dress is really fitted through the rib cage. The 4 fit (snugly) but I'd have liked to have tried the 6. The straps were a bit loose not so bad that I didn't have to keep adjusting them. It really is a beautiful dress!

I rented this dress of a spring black tie wedding. I was overwhelmed by the positive comments and complements I received all night. This dress is stunning! The lower back is a beautiful detail, but you can still wear a regular bra. There is an under skirt that makes the dress full and classy. I'm 5.5'and wore 3 or 4"heels (I'm not sure), the dress is long enough in the back but does not touch the floor. This dress is a perfect combination of elegance with a tiny bit of sexiness. I absolutely loved it and wish the night was 10 hours longer so I could keep wearing it! Best rental ever... I'm so glad I wore this one!

I rented this dress for a wedding. It was not a formal black tie event so I wanted a dress that was more on the formal side but still cocktail friendly and playful. I wear 0 or 2, XS normally and a sz 25 jeans. I'm 5ft and the front hit me at about mid shin with the back being a little longer and actually hitting the floor but I loved the effect. You can definitely wear a strapless bra if you use a bra strap extender and drop the clasp below the back zipper. The color is navy and not as iridescent as the image. Material is on the heavier weight but not winter like. I would wear this all seasons. Most of all, it has pockets!!! Would definitely rent this again!

This dress far exceeded my expectations. It looks beautiful in the photo, and is just gorgeous "in person". Comfortable, not too long ( so I didn't have to wear gigantic heels to keep it off the ground, pockets which held my IPhone 6 Plus!! I would definitely rent this again.

I love love loved this dress! It was not only comfortable but it was so eye-catching. It is not your typical black cocktail dress and I got TONS of compliments! I probably could have gone a size down but the 4 fit well. It was poofier than I had anticipated but I loved he look!

I am 5'8" and 132 pounds. the size 6 was perfect...tiny bit loose in waist, but I have a small waist, so I cinched it in with a gold belt...top fit perfectly...if you are overly endowed, I would go a size up for bigger ta-tas....bright cobalt blue wide hem....darker blue body...a winter/fall dress....I wanted the shorter front/longer back to show off my shoes.....a real show-stopper.....

I ordered a 0 and a 2, based off of other reviews. The 2 was a better fit. The straps were a tad big but didn't bother me too much. It flowed so nicely and was fun to dance in. It has pockets as well.

I LOVE this dress. The six fit but the four hugged my waist better so I ended up wearing that. In four inch heels the length was perfect, and at 5'9" without them the back dragged on the floor just a little. The dress does have a slip with some material underneath to keep that skirt fluffed. The pockets were great and plenty deep for my phone, some lipgloss, and my debit card and cash. I did not wear a bra of any kind with the dress. I tried it on with one and I could have worn a bra, but be aware that the back band of a bra is potentially visible at the bottom of the v-back on the dress. I also felt the dress straps were more flattering set out wider on my shoulders which would have made bra straps visible. I wore this for a black tie wedding where the bride requested that guests don't wear black. It was perfect for the occasion, and I heard endless compliments all night! One woman came across the room just to tell me how much she loved the dress. It was flattering, comfortable, and made me feel like the bell of the ball. I would DEFINITELY rent this one again! Also, as RTR probably knows, I think they have about the best customer service known to man. They are ALWAYS quick to respond to any problems, and will find a solution for you no matter the situation. RTR will continue to receive business from me!

The fit was true to size but the top was a little big. You can't wear a regular bra with this dress but I found a strapless shape wear piece with a low back worked fine. I got so many compliments and felt like a princess all night!

The top part was a little tight but the 8 was to loose I'm short but it work really well with heels the pockets are great for mid dance floor selfies I'm seriously considering getting this for my closet after all the compliments

Overall, the dress fits well. It is a little snug at the waist and was a little big on the shoulders, but very wearable. The bottom is so fun a pretty. Very unique. The fabric is darker than it looks online and very thick.

The fit was perfect. I'm 5'6 and wore 3" heels. The back of the dress just skimmed the floor. I've got a true hour glass shape, my shoulders are just a little broad and I'm a 36 C in the chest. If I had been any smaller, I don't think it would have fit as well. I didn't wear a bra, the back was just low enough that you could see it. Luckily the fabric was thick enough that it didn't matter and I was still quite comfortable. There is tulle under the skirt, so that it flairs out a bit, but honestly that reason and the pockets made it perfect! It is a lot of dress, so keep that in mind if you are looking for a sleeker silhouette. I would definitely rent this dress again.
