Wore this to the Daytime Emmys in LA - perfect dress for the occasion. Based on other reviews I rented a 4R and a 6R as a backup...but the 4R didn't show up. Luckily the 6R fit! Order up if you're busty! I'm 5'3" and the R length was perfect with 4 inch heels. The fabric is really heavy so it got a little hot in the sun, but I loved the way the dress fanned out whenever I walked.

The fit ran true to size if not a smidge small.

I wore this gown to the Mayor of Philadelphia's annual Masquerade ball. This dress was an amazing and comfortable fit. I chose to wear the 12L because it was a better fit for my top area. I felt really sexy and classy in this gown. I received so many compliments. The best part about wearing the gown was that it was comfortable the whole night. I could not have chosen a better gown.

I'm 5'6" and i got the regular which was just perfect length as the dress was slightly touching the floor with heels. I needed to ged a size bigger just because it didn't fit my bust. I usually ware size 2 and my bra size is 36C so I got size 2L and a backup of 4R. The 2 fit my waist just perfect but was too tight at my chest and also was way too long. However the 4R was great. At first I was not sure about the waist, but through the nigh I was grateful i was not squeezed in the 2. Also because there is so much fabric you can't really tell even if it doesn't perfectly fit there. Overall the dress is AMAZING! I got millions of compliments and loved it myself.

This dress is ideal for body-conscious women who still want a bit of oomph! It shows all the right places: shoulders, legs, arms, without overexposing. Loved it!

We attended an Army formal dinner, and needed to make my Major proud. He loved the dress and I received several compliments. I felt like a million dollars without having to spend it. I have a curvy figure so the size that I thought would fit was just too tight. I had to use the extra shipped dress. Dresses arrived beautifully and wrinkle free. Hardest part with return shipment was getting it into the UPS DROP BOX. I will surely use this service again.

This dress was awesome. I wore this dress to prom, and it was so unique from everyone else's. It was a hit! I received compliments all night long. I was worried though. I did have some issues with my first choice as well as my backup, but overall it worked out perfectly since I got to rent this dress instead.

I felt like a rockstar in this dress! It is perfect for a very formal black tie event. I felt glamorous and incredibly comfortable. I've never been to a black tie event and decided to take a risk with an asymmetrical dress. I have 32DD's so anything that requires a strapless bra scares me because my "ladies" end up saggy. My torso is a little short, so that definitely is no good. I'm almost an hourglass (I think my waist has to be a tiny bit smaller to be a true hourglass?). I also generally don't go asymmetrical because I think I'm just boring and scared of new things. I am sooooo glad I went for this piece! The strapless bra worked out fine and the cut divided my body in a flattering way. The curtain effect on the lower half was awesome. The material is fairly thick. I know this sounds bad, but almost like drapes. That being said, it works and is incredibly comfortable. I wore it in April in LA in the evening, and it was perfect. It might be too hot for a summer event. I'm short so I wore a higher heel and it didn't drag on the ground. Also, make sure you wear a shoe that is open across the ankle. Make those legs look long!

The dress was beautiful, both elegant and unique. The sparkle of the fabric photographed excellently. It was easy to dance in and find matching accessories to. Highly recommend it!

This was sent to me as a backup and I wish I read the reviews a little more before choosing a 2. I am in between a 0 and 2 and am smaller on top and larger on bottom. This dress was HUGE in the top, and I had to do some fashion taping. If you don't have a large chest, size down the boning isn't forgiving either ( but makes you look busty as a plus!) I am a 32 B and was swimming in this, while the bottom fit perfectly. So when in doubt, size down!! Perfect dress otherwise and something fun and different! Highly recommend!!

I wore this for the Rita Hayworth Gala in Chicago. It was perfect! The only con was the zipper. I had to fold the zipper in just to get it to zip up (And no, it wasn't too small. My friend was able to overlap the fabric.) It was just a little difficult when you tried to zip it past the waist seam. I'm 5'6" and wore 2.5in heal. The long was perfect! I most certainly had a bit of a train, but I felt that completed the look. As you can tell from the picture, it was not unmanageable. The fabric is a bit heavy, but with the spring weather and the short skirt in front, I never overheated. I not too hippy but I do have them so if you are self conscious of that, the long part of the skirt compliments your hips without fully covering them. If you have a black tie event, I definitely recommend this dress! Plus, since its black, it would match anything your date would wear.

I'm 5 ft 1 and about 115lbs. The 2R fit like a glove. Wore 5in heels and it drug the ground just right. So comfortable. Thick fabric so didn't have to worry about see through or lines. First RTR experience. Great!!!

It fit perfectly. I'm a petite person and it flattered my figure. It was a little hard to dance in without heels, but otherwise no complaints.

Ordered the size 12 and 14 just in case, dress fits true to size. Well structured, great for accentuating or giving shape where there is little. Dress has silver iridescence to it. Zipper was a little stiff, but other wise we were VERY pleased with the dress. Accented with Gold earrings, and black and gold shoes, gold leaf hair accents. Comfortable, classy statement dress.

This dress was sent to me as a last minute backup and I LOVED it. I am 5'6" and the long was probably a little too long, but it didn't matter since it was open in the front so I wasn't tripping over it. The dress fit me great and made my waist look tiny. I changed my shoes before I left the hotel room, but did wear flats. The material is very cool, almost looks like leather.

My only feedback is that it was too long for me but I am not a tall person but this dress was easy to hem. Otherwise it was true to size and fit like a glove-very comfortable. I was also unique, gorgeous and a classy substantial fabric. Everyone loved it!

Loved the dress! I am 5'4" and did not wear super high heels, and it really fell perfectly to the ground. I was shocked it was not too long. I really liked that it had the shorter part in front with longer gown in back--stood out among all the black long dresses at a black tie wedding. Material is really nice, but thick--would maybe feel too hot for a summer event but perfect for Fall/Winter/Early Spring. I added long gloves to give it even a little more flair!

The color of this dress shimmers without being flashy. It is true to size and comfortable even though the material is a bit thick. The short dress with the diagonal hem is sexy while the overlay of the gown makes it elegant. I'm 5'9 and the regular length fit me perfectly with 3 inch heels. Simply gorgeous!

If you are looking for a dress that makes and leaves an impression, this is it. I wore this impeccable garment to a formal wedding, and I received compliments from complete strangers. The fit is amazing if you are a bit curvy, but pretty consistent from top to bottom. Women with small chests should not rent - the dress will be too bulky and loose up top. About the service: RTR is amazing. This concept is a perfect fit for today's woman. Was extremely simple and customer service was amazing. You have a customer for life.

This dress received many compliments. It fit me perfectly and was fun to wear. I wear a 34 C and there was no need for a bra (dress provides enough support and snug). I wore a 4-in heel so getting the 6 Long was perfect. I had no problem dancing the night away but did need to pick up the bottom of the dress a bit occasionally since it has a little bit of a train on it. The dress has a shimmer to it that I really liked too. This was my first experience with Rent the Runway and it was awesome!

I usually wear a 6, just the top was a little tight so the 8 was perfect. At 5'4" it was a little long but nothing to not wear it! So many compliments on the dress! Perfect for the Opera!

I was a little bit nervous about the fit of the dress because it's a little bit non-traditional, but the fit and the way the material falls is perfect. It reminded me a little bit of Taylor Swift's dress to the 2015 Grammy's but with it's own twist. I felt SO glamorous and received tons of compliments at my event even though I was surrounded by celebrities who have personal stylists. So happy I went with this dress!

I ordered 14 and 16. 16 was more comfortable but was gaping large at chest. I squeezed into 14. Only thing to note is the model leg exposure is exaggerated. I'm 5'4" so the dress came below and above knee line. The dress is lined and fabric heavy so no problem with lines or underwear. Loved it! Received many compliments from friends and strangers alike.

I chose this dress to wear in my friends wedding. It is the perfect Bridesmaid dress. It fit snug but not tight. It doesn't have any stretch to it. It is made with a thick, heavy material. Very nice. I chose the larger size due to my bust which I was glad I did. The material was beautiful and the gown was well made. I am about 5'3 1/2 and wore 3 1/2 in heels. I should have worn maybe 4 in . Over all this designer hits it out of the ball park with the material and look she chooses for women

I passed over this dress online as it looked to have the potential to be weird, but at the store I LOVED it! The silhouette is really cool and modern. The fabric is thick and hugs your curves nicely. I received so many compliments at the holiday party and also on Facebook for this unique but classy dress.
