I purchased this dress for my photography business. The color is rich as is the fabric. The bodice detail adds glam and interest. And the back is really pretty showing a hint of skin. I like that it's long enough to wear with heels for an occasion or barefoot for photography. I'm sure my clients will love it as much as I do!

I wore this to a formal event. The pockets were key and the dress was light enough to dance for hours :)

The navy/black combo was really nice. The beading was perfect and the navy fabric was a heavy material that did not wrinkle. This is a perfect pick for a pear - the top and waist is very fitted with room in the hips. I found it to fit very TTS. A larger bust may not be as comfortable in this dress as it is really snug in the chest area and I'm small here. I couldn't find a bra that worked with this at all, so went without. I found the dress to be a bit short, so wore shorter heels than I had planned. Use the posted measurements on this if you are unsure - it was shorter I expected it to be and I don't usually have that problem. It's a gorgeous dress that is stunning on.

I liked this far more last night when I wore it than when I tried it on in the Flatiron showroom. I felt like I was just kind of settling for a dress because I needed something as the hostess for our school's Prom. I ordered both the 10L and the 12L and when with the 12 even though it was a bit loose around my waist, but i wanted to be comfortable. The one complaint I would have, and not about the dress, is there is no way I'm getting both of these dress, the clutch, the earrings, and the bracelet I rented back in the UPS envelop they sent along. I'm going to have to put the unworn 10L in another UPS package, but that is my only complaint. It's a great dress, and kids were giving me compliments all night long.

I got compliments all night about the dress, and I felt amazing. The cut is super flattering and the top was perfect since I fit my broad shoulders which generally have to make me go a size up. The dress didn't even squeeze into my underarm fat the slightest bit. My stilettos kept getting caught in the hem at the back of the dress but apart from that, it was super easy to move around. Also, I had to dance with my arms mostly away from my sides since the sequins were irritating my arms but it wasn't a huge problem.

Usually wear a size 10 but had to go up to 12 because of my chest. I am a 36D and the 10 was too tight. I was able to wear a 2 1/2 inch heel and the dress hit the floor just right. (Could not wear my 3 inche heels because the dress came up off the floor and did not look right). The dress did not wrinkle too much in my suitcase as i had to fly to my event. Used a steamer to release the few wrinkles that were present. Overall, very happy with my rental! Love that RTR carries long dresses for tall women.

This dress was perfect for a black tie party! I received so many complements! I am 5'7" and wore 3 inch heels and the dress was a perfect length. The dress made me feel very thin (huge plus)! It was the perfect combination of classy formal (navy skirt) and fun (black beaded top). My only complaint was: I ordered a 4L and 6L, the 4L fit me the best but the 4L was incredibly wrinkled. It took a lot of steaming to get it all out. I didn't have to wear a bra with the dress either, which normally i don't care for but i felt very comfortable. I highly recommend this dress!! Just look at it immediately so you have time to get the wrinkles out before your event!

I am generally a 10, but 10 L was unavailable so I went with the 12L. The fit was a little loose in some areas (like the waist), so 10 would probably have been perfect. As it was I worried a little about the hanging loop (which was bright red) peeking out at the lower back, but other than that the 12L was beautiful. The shape of the torso or top of the dress is totally unique and the beading and sequins give it a striking effect. I wore 5 inch heels, and the length was perfect for them... I could not have worn a regular with any heel. Bonus - the darker color navy of the sequined top and the slightly lighter navy of the fabric matched my husband's dress blues almost exactly! I hadn't expected that, but it was a perfect accident. I felt like royalty, and this dress, worn with the Janis Savitt Montana Blue Drop earrings as my sole piece of jewelry, was the reason for that. It was a fantastic night, and a fantastic experience working with RTR.

I rented this dress for my senior prom, and it was such a dream. The fit was perfect and the pockets were awesome for carrying my phone all night. It photographed extremely well and overall it was a very classy look. I'm only 5'2", but with 4" heels it hung slightly above the floor. And I received endless compliments on the dress the entire night. You should definitely rent this dress, I have no regrets!

RTR is the best. This was my backup dress (another option didn't work out, and they overnighted this second choice). I ended up liking this MUCH more than my first choice and read others had, too. It was formal and regal with a hint of funky/trendy at the top. I had planned on wearing black, but the blue/black combo was a nice touch. I wear dresses anywhere between sizes 2-6. Found the 4 fit the best (pretty fitted on the hip region). The length ended up being almost right with 3.5 inch heels. I did use hem tape on the inner liner to make sure I didn't step on it. The top does cut out where that armpit crease is if you're funny about that. Didn't wear a bra. Got many compliments - even more so from social media after the event!

Oh my god! I don't know how many people came to me and said they love my dress! It was an absolutely gorgeous dress. This wasn't my 1st choice and I got a little bit worried as it wasn't my size either. I normally wear size 0 but only size 2 was available. It was a little big but not so much and very comfortable moving. Also I love the pockets! I could carry my cellphone which didn't fit into my little clutch bag. The upper bodice with sequins are beautiful & luxurious and back slit is fashionable. The skirt fabric is very nice, the right amount of thickness and right away you can feel that this is not a cheap dress. I love every bit of this dress. It was my 1st time with RTR and I'm glad to choose to go with it instead of buying a couple of hundred dollar dress + paying for dry-cleaning! Thanks!

The fit, for me, was perfect. Some things to note: Sensitive skinned ladies, the beading up top may irritate your skin around your armpits or shoulders. I have extremely sensitive skin, but actually, it wasn't too bad. The pockets are fantastic... I don't know why we get so excited about them- it's not like we put phones or things in there- but... It's nice to know they're there, I suppose? I did put a couple of business cards in mine, I think. I'm about 5'6 or 5'7- and needed the longer size (since I was wearing heels. If I'd worn flats, the regular would have been fine- but who wears flats to a ball??- Smart people... that's who.) I had to be a little mindful of my bra- as the back keyhole comes up a bit higher than where a typical bra might hit. It wasn't a huge deal. I put my husband on "bra-adjustment-duty"...

I rented a different dress that didn't work out. Rent the Runway has THE best customer service! They gave me a couple of recommendations and overnighted this dress to me. I LOVED it! I really wish I owned this dress. I am busty (34D) and I am very tall. The 4 long fit perfectly.

The fit was so flattering and I received tons of compliments when I shared pictures of me wearing the dress with my friends and family. I ended up going with a different rental for my black-tie event (ML Monique Lhuillier Odyssey Gown) but this dress did not disappoint. The beading on the top portion of the dress is to DIE for. Can't wait to wear this for another event down the road. RTR is the BEST!

This was a back-up dress that Rent the Runway sent when my original one was unavailable. Loved it! It was a teensy bit wrinkly when I took it out of the box, but I hung it up and the wrinkles fell out so I didn't have to press it. And being only 5' 2" the dress even with 3" heels was a bit long, but I just held it up a little when I walked--it wasn't too long that I couldn't dance in it. The black sequins on top were even more beautiful in person. Loved the pockets on the dress, too. So glad I rented this dress--you will be glad, too!

This was my first RTR experience and it was pretty stressful. The day before my event my dress and back-up dress arrived (it was not this dress: it was the Olivia dress). Neither one fit me (Size 2R and back-up of 0R). So I had to work quickly with a consultant online to find a new dress they could overnight me in time for my event (which was a museum gala, an event at which I was working). My original dress was no longer available in my size so I had to find a new dress: this dress! I had actually considered this dress before so was familiar with it. I took a chance and had this dress overnighted to me in a size 4R. I was fairly convinced it was not going to fit. But when it arrived the day of my event, I was actually able to zip it up (unlike the size 2R I had gotten in the other dress). It was still snug through the rib cage area and I was not really able to take any deep breaths... but I could make it work. The length of the dress was perfect with my 3 inch heels. I was able to wear a strapless bra with this dress. You couldn't see it from the side cut-outs of the dress, nor from the cut-out in the back. I'm small busted so felt more comfortable wearing a bra with this dress. I got a LOT of compliments on this dress... everyone wanted to touch the beaded top! And since I was working the event I was pretty adamant about getting a dress with pockets. It was perfect for my iPhone, lip gloss, and ID badge. The whole RTR experience was pretty stressful for me. Not sure I would do it again for a work event. I was already stressed about the work aspect of it... I didn't need the additional worry of my dress fitting or not.

Great fit. If you are over a D cup, you may be challenged. To fit in the bodice. Very flattering dress. Very well suited for tall women who are pear shaped. I felt amazing all night and was able to enjoy the midnight buffet without worrying about a tummy pooch! The dress stood out due to the design. I felt very classy and classic! I would wear this dress again in a heartbeat! 2 small cons-could have been a half inch or so longer and the beading on the bodice bothered my arms after a while. Minor, minor concerns.

Ok, so I just have to say that I didn't choose this dress from the website. I drove to Vegas so that I could actually try some of the dresses on, and my stylist, Destiny, pulled it for me. Once I put it on, I couldn't help but beam. It's gorgeous on. The color, the fit, everything! It has pockets, so it's feminine without being uncomfortable. I ordered it for a black tie event at work, but unfortunately I discovered at the last minute that a coworker ordered the same dress. I can't stress enough that RTR's customer service is incomparable!! Even though the dress had already shipped, the RTR rep sent me a different dress of my choice (she waved the extra price) and all I had to do was pay for shipping!! When the box arrived, they had even included jewelry to match the dress!!

This dress fit perfectly and I got many compliments! Sizing was very true... I wore a 6R, and even though I am 4'11", the length was PERFECT with 5" heels. Dress was comfortable, and I was even able to wear Spanx underneath. I would highly recommend this dress!

It is a true A line cut. Worked perfectly with my hips and booty. The bottom of the dress came wrinkled. I steamed the wrinkles out as best I can, but the very bottom has a backing to keep the material stiff and it was hard to get that to be flat. There isn't much stretch, so measure accordingly. I am 5'6" and wore the long with 3" heels in the 6L. I was surprised, I thought I would wear the 8R. I loved this dress so much I am thinking of buying it!

Overall the dress fit true to size. Since I have a small bust was able to go without a bra and felt comfortable with the support offered by the dress.

Loved the fit, though I'm not a large-chested girl so I sized down for a better fit up top (which is admittedly the most important part based on the way this dress is cut.) The size long (I'm 5' 9") fit great with three-inch heels, though it would be far too long for shorter girls. The pockets were great too! My only complaint is that you NEED someone to help you put it on and take it off because of the way the back zips. Other than that it was a great choice! Very unique and fun, and elegant as well.

The layer under was a little ripped but it wasn't noticeable. However it got caught on my heels a couple times.

I was self conscious after gaining some weight before this big formal event, but I felt so elegant and glamorous in this dress that I forgot all about my self consciousness. The dress fabric wrinkles easily when sitting but I loved the fit. I'm 5'5" and the long definitely required a 2-3 inch heel.

I ordered the 2L and 4L both fit me but I ended up wearing the 2L because the back fit better. I loved this dress and loved that it had pockets! I hate keeping track of a purse so it was great to stick the essentials in the pockets. I wore this dress to a military ball and it was perfect! The long was the perfect length with my serious heels and it was so comfortable. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars was the bra selection was a bit tricky. The slit in the back sometimes would show my strapless bra. But other than that, it was an amazing dress!

I ordered a 2R and 4R and went with the 2 for sure. I thought I could wear a strapless bra with it, but the cut out it literally exactly where the bra strap it ( I thought it was a bit lower) so I went with a stick on bra. Could have gone bra-less because the heavy beads hide an nips anyways. Was the PERFECT length with 4-5 inch heels that had a little platform to them. Overall, comfortable and super pretty on.

Gorgeous dress! I felt so beautiful for the NYE gala I attended. I received numerous compliments from men and women. No haters this way! The dress top was different that what I expected. I guess I had glitz in mind like jewels when I ordered but that was my fault in not paying attention. The fit was great! Good thing too because my second size did not get sent to me. I was really happy the 4L fit so well. I will say during the night that it started to feel really tight after I ate- lol... If this happens to you just stop eating! If you don't, you will walk around feeling like you squeezed into a dress. My only disappointment was that I spent soooooooo much time steaming this gown and it was STILL winkled! That's ok, I just stayed on the dance floor. Back to a positive note- This dress moves great when dancing and the pockets were super cool! I def recommend this dress to all. Oh and did I mention it photographs beautifully?!?!? Check the pictures! Love ya!!!

This was a backup dress sent because another dress was damaged. It was beautiful but the 4 was pretty short. If I had pretty flats to wear this would have worked, but I didn't have the right shoes to make this work so I didn't end up wearing this.

#NYE #symphony - you need a second person to fully zip you up. The sequins easily fall off. Perfect length to walk in with shorter heels and even flats.

Other women at the event also had on Rent the Runway dresses. We noticed each other quickly. Some of talked about our rent the Runway experience. We all agreed that having 1 bag to return 2 dresses was insufficient. I felt awful having to stuff those beautiful gowns into 1 bag.

I ordered 2 gowns for my Gala, this one was a last minute choice. I tried the gowns on immediately and wasn't thrilled with either. The day of the event, after hair and make up where done, jewelry and shoes on, this dress was perfect. The beaded bodice gives just enough pop without being too much, the lines of this dress are classic and the small swept train gives it an elegant flow. The perfect little extra are the pockets! I received more compliments than I can count and I felt beautiful. The only tip I would give is this dress runs long. I am 5'6 and wore 3 inch heels, it was still just a bit long, but nothing I couldn't deal with. I was thrilled with this rental!

This dress was true to size and absolutely beautiful!

The fit was great as my waist looked smaller. Tha pockets are a great feature. Very elegant dress and very light too. Not too heavy. You have to be very careful with the top part (the beads) but it is very well built. In the pictures, the skirts looks shiny, it is NOT. It is a mate navy blue.

This dress was very comfortable. I loved that it had pockets for my cellphone, which came in handy for taking photos at the event. The fabric is comfortable and the color is great. I got a lot of compliments.

My daughter and I rented our dresses from RTR for a formal work event with an Academy Awards theme. My daughter was the awards girl who gave out the trophy awards so we needed her to be all glitter and glam. So thankful for Extra length options as she is 6" and I am 5'10". I wore a 2 inch heel. Loved the pockets , unusual sequins on the bodice and cut out on the back that were fancy but not too revealing for a work event. Many compliments received on both dresses!

This dress was a hit! So many compliments all night.

The dress fit very well and I received many compliments. The pockets were a great bonus. Very comfortable to wear.
