Love the shape. The dress is lined which makes for a smooth fit. The length is perfect for my 5’6 height. Does not stretch, and beware of wearing in windy conditions, the front panel will blow open and show a bit of upper leg. MULTIPLE compliments!!

I wore this dress to an event at Carnegie Hall. It was a little snug, but the body shaper I wore helped to smooth out for a seamless fit. I personally would recommend going up a size.

I rented this for a black tie wedding and it was perfect choice. Very flattering and perfect amount of sexy and sophisticated. I took a risk and rented a 6L because it was literally the only size left, even though I usually wear an 8. If I could I have had a size up, I would have because my shoulders felt a little constrained. I couldn't lift my arms above my head and after dinner and dessert it felt too tight. But the length was perfect with 3 inch heels. Definitely recommend.

This dress was by far one of my favorites that I have ever rented. It was so comfortable and flattering in all the right areas. I first ordered this dress for my engagement photos and absolutely loved it so I rented it again for my bachelorette party. I ordered a size 16 during for my engagement photos but it wouldn't zip up so I was happy I ordered the back up size of 18. I oscillate between those two sizes depending on brand but was very happy with the fit. It zipped up easily and wasn't as snug in the midsection as it was in the size 16. It does have a cutout at the waist and at first I was hesitant because I like to wear spanks with dresses like these and I was worried you would be able to see the rolls when I sat down but that wasn't the case, especially since it is a little high on the body. I did wear spanks with this but just opted for a lower sitting pair. I loved this dress so much, it is a heavier fabric but wasn't too warm when I went out in 80 degree weather. It does have some cleavage as you can see but it wasn't over the top and don't mind showing some. It does cross in the font and has a high slit so it rides up when sitting down so you want to be cautious of that but it wasn't something I had to think about a lot. I'm pretty curvy and it does kind of give a more boxier shape like you can see in my full body photo, however, I felt like a goddess in this dress and would highly recommend. It was more of a matte black. I wore heels so ordered the longer dress size (my height without heels is 5' 9" if that helps and I was wearing heels in the photos). I would highly recommend ordering and would do so in a heartbeat if I have another fitting occasion come up.

Wore this dress to a black tie optional wedding and felt amazing! I usually need a size 16 to fit my large bust but I’m more of a size 12 or 14 on bottom. This dress was perfect for my shape since it was a little more snatched at the waist. The top has plenty of room and is really flattering. Plus you can wear a normal bra which is a more plus. My husband said that somehow the dress made my boobs look smaller. As a short, busty person that is a great thing! Many dresses accentuate my bust too much and make me look top heavy or larger than I am. If I need a dress for another formal event this will be my go to.

I loved this dress. I felt gorgeous and received many compliments. The cutout pattern around the midsection was high enough that it didn’t show my Spanx. However, sizing up was needed for comfort. Like others have mentioned, with the high slit, I definitely recommend adding a wrap that you can lay across your legs while sitting. And also watch when you are walking if it’s windy outside. 🫣

Loads of compliments on this dress! Being on the curvy side, I'm blown away at how fantastic it looks on every body type. The coverage was perfect with the sleeve detail, waist, and front slit. Note, if you are busty, there will be quite the cleavage. Definitely size up, as the fabric has no stretch. But I loved not having to adjust undergarments and was comfortable all day/night. Would rent again 💯!!

This is a great dress very flattering it runs small I usually wear a 16 and the 18w was snug but fit. I would have sized up to a 20w but they didn't have. This is a must have - it's very slimming.

Wore this to a black tie gala- absolutely loved it. The fabric was gorgeous, the neckline was enough on its own with some pretty earrings. Fit was amazing. I had the 20L size just to be able to have some room. (I’m a 16/18). With the long, wear heels!

The dress was stunning, perfectly tailored. The v neck plunge was a little bit more than what I’m used to wearing but I loved it anyway.

Dress fit great and was flattering. The wrap detail/slit is real and something to be aware of when sitting, especially if you size down. I thought it was true to size. At 5’10 I could have used the tall length but it was out of stock. Still worked nicely as the regular.

This fit perfectly was so comfortable and flattering. Only thing for me was it was too long. End of the night I tied it up so that I wouldn’t be walking all over it.

I have been a loyal RTR customer for 10+ years and this ML gown was one of my favorites. I am tall and the length was perfect! The 18W fit great but I opted for the 20W for comfort and it wasn’t much bigger. The slit is subtle and the fabric is beautiful! I wore this to a formal work event on a night when it was -14 degrees in NH and even though it was short sleeves with a low neckline and a long slit, I was comfortable and warm at the event. I did not need Spanx and normal underwear did not show at all. The cutout detail at the waist is subtle and fun.

I wore to officiate a wedding. The detail was perfect to be standing next to bride and groom without taking the stage. Size up for sure. Still a little short for a tall girl

I rented this as an option for a wedding. I ended up going with another dress that I liked better, but I did love this one! It is incredibly flattering. Felt great on the chest (I am larger, 36 D) and would have just worn some cups (would have gone without bra!). Great option, will consider for future uses for sure. True to size too. I am normally an 8, 145-147 lbs.

Dress is beautiful and was perfect for black tie wedding. It does however run small, I planned on sizing up per other reviews and knowing I am busty. I ended up going up 2 sizes and it was still snug in my bust but not uncomfortable. Sleeves did also limit some overhead mobility.

Rent this! Simple but with gorgeous details with the cut outs and scaled neck line. A little low cut and high slit but hair and dinner napkin help when sitting! I wore to a gala and felt comfortable around all ages. Also, have post partum belly and the lay over design around the waist was forgiving! No stretch to the dress so get a back up size! The material is thick high quality.

I rented this dress for a family wedding. I had to size up to the larger size because it runs a little small. I am 5'9 and went with the long. It was perfect! The material is a little thicker so I wouldn't suggest wearing it to a hot summer wedding. Overall, I was very happy with this beautiful dress!

A fantastic simple black dress but with great details The cutouts around the middle and shirred sleeves add a little interest to an otherwise simple dress. Love that you can wear a normal bra with this and the cutouts are high enough not to show shape wear. I received a ton of compliments on this dress and it was comfortable the entire night. I did size up from my normal size (4R) as the cut through the torso was pretty slim. The 6R fit great, not too big anywhere, and length was perfect with a 3-4" heel.
