It's probably best to not wear a bra with this one. There's a lot of support in the bust area so support should not be a problem. Also the fabric is thick so you don't have to worry about "unnecessary exposure"

I would say that the dress runs pretty true to size. For me it was tight across the rib cage and I could not hook the hook and eye closure above the zipper- but it still looked great.

This dress was, wow. I wore this to my senior prom and after reading reviews I went with the 2R and it fit perfectly for the most part. The only cons about the fit was up top was a little loose, so not great for girls with smaller boobs. I'm also 5'4 and I like wearing tall heels but with the regular I definitely couldn't do that without them showing way too much for my liking. I went out and bought 3 inch heels and they worked out but if you're a tall heel kind of girl definitely go with the long. A lot of reviews also said it was uncomfortable and hot, I didn't find it uncomfortable at all but after dancing it does get a tad bit hot. You should definitely plan on taking it to the dry cleaners as soon as you get it because it gets very wrinkled. The back was seriously amazing, you'll stand out in this dress for sure. The only other con I would say is getting into and out of the car and limo was a struggle. But none of the cons compare to how amazing this dress is. Rent it!!!!

This dress is a heavier material so not the most easily maneuvered dress but totally worth it. I wore it for prom and got lots of compliments! It fit me perfectly. also, I am a 32DDD! And it fit in the chest with a little room even - I usually wear a 2 because my waist is about 25 inches, this runs smaller in the waist with more room in the bust

This dress was very difficult to steam/iron and it came pretty wrinkled when I received it. But the excess fabric in the back never got in the way like I thought it would. I would definitely rent it again, but in the "long" so I could wear heels with it.

Stunning was the most common word for my dress, from both med and women! I felt great in this dress all night! Now, for the details...I ordered several sizes and ended up wearing the 12L due to the bust and ribcage area. I am 5'9, 148# and approx. 38D (depending on who you ask, if it were up to Victoria's Secret, they would call me DD!). The Long was a must with 3 inch heels. The back is low (but not too low for those that are concerned about the "back fat" like I was=), undergarments are difficult, but they are not necessary in this dress. The top has boning so a bra is not needed. The material is very heavy (almost drapery-like), but even with the "bustle" it does not feel too heavy or uncomfortable. This was my first pick. There were issues with sizes not coming back in time to ship to me and my second choice dress was ultimately not available to ship, so there was a lot of scurrying days before my event. Ultimately, I told the stylist to just choose dresses based on my measurements and send because I was super busy with event details. She sent me several dresses as well as jewelry to go with!! The second dress she sent was amazing, but did not fit. As always, the customer service was beyond spectacular and I knew RTR had my back! This dress...is truly beautiful and different from what anyone else will be wearing at your event.

It was true to size, and very comfortable to wear. I didn't want to take it off! It came a bit wrinkled because it's a thick fabric, but it was nothing a little steaming couldn't fix. I could have danced all night in the dress and never have gotten tired of it. The length was perfect too! No one was stepping on my dress throughout the night. I got so many compliments, and even had a woman come up to me saying she had reserved the same exact dress for a formal affair coming up in a few months. I raved about it and let her know she would not be disappointed. Amazing dress!

I love love love this dress! It hit me in all the right places. I received compliments all night long, very satisfied. The 6R was not available so I wore the 6L which was a little long, but my heels made that unnoticeable to anyone other than myself. I'm 5'6" & currently at 140lbs 34C.

The dress was a bit long, but with the right platform high heels it was perfect. I felt elegant and had a great time all evening in this gorgeous gown. The train makes it very fun! It did need to be steamed on arrival.

I thought the waist was very tight, but it actually kept the top on as you can not wear a bra with it. Nothing was moving anyway and I'm a D or DD. Loads of compliments. Felt very tall in this. THe long was perfect. I'm only 5' 6", but with 4" heels the long was necessary. I can often wear a size 4 and always a size 6 so was surprised it was uncomfortably tight. I don't think the 8 would have held me in so tightly but may have made the bust and skirt too loose as those were not tight at all. The boning in the corset seems to be poking out and is very sharp but luckily was not an issue. Love this dress. I'd advise to order a larger size as extra and not smaller and go with the long if you are 5'5" or taller.

I wore the 6L because it was a little snug in the hips, but slightly loose in the chest. I also wore 3.5 inch heels ( I'm 5'6). It loosened up as the night went on. Def made for a curvy figure because it is SOOO flattering. The color & cut really emphasized my best assets. Paired with some red lips & gorgeous jewelry and this was one of my favorite dresses I've ever worn to the Marine Corps Ball.

This dress was amazing!!! I've had my eye on it for months, and finally had the chance to rent! It needs a bit of work when you get it - steaming/ironing to get rid of the wrinkles but other than that truly amazing! I would love to have this in my closet!!!

The dress glides across the bottom & you'll absolutely love twirling in it. :) Extremely fit and unforgiving in the mid section. Will definitely show off your curves. Dress is slightly heavy, but totally worth it.

This dress is absolutely amazing - I must start by saying that. I have an athletic shaped body and generally wear a size 6. I ordered a 6L and 8L to be safe. I am 5' 8 and so the Long option was perfect with 3 inch heels. Regarding the fit, I feel it is important to emphasize that this dress fit me great but would be even better on someone with more of an hourglass figure. I am sort of square shaped in the midsection but this dress is tight by the waist and wide by the hips. Because of this, it was a bit snug on my waist so I couldnt clasp the clasp above the zipper, which ended up being alright because the zipper is very sturdy and stayed up without ever worrying me. The hips were a little wide on mine, because again, I am more square and athletic shaped. It gave me curves that I never knew I had though. There are "bones" from the tummy up to the chest area which poked me a little but I forgot all about it when I saw how beautiful it looked. I got so many compliment on this and it is extremely classy while still "mature" in the back. I absolutely loved it and it was comfortable! Wore it all night and danced in it and everything. It is definitely a heavy dress so I wouldnt wear it to anything outdoors where it might be warm - make sure its for an indoor event or youll be sweating. Other than that - good luck! Amazing dress, and order a size up to be safe :)

It's great for small busted, tall and thin women. I'm actually 3 months pregnant and the waist line here hid my little belly bump perfectly. I added a little sweater because i was outside, on the weather, but the open back on this dress is stunning. At one point, someone asked my friend if I was the bride. It's a fantastic dress, would rent it again. I got the 2 as my other size, as i'm often a two, but I think being pregnant I really needed the 4. I couldn't really sit down in the two, it was too tight.

Cons: Only the "long" version of the dress was available so I went with it...3 inch heels didn't quite get it off the ground (as I am 5'4") but it didn't drag much. Plus I was indoors so that helped with it not getting too dirty. I'd totally rent the same dress again! Pros: NO, I didnt' look like the model in the picture wearing the dress, but for my body type, it looked amazing. Stunning fit, even for someone who has a 36DDD sized chest, plus a little leftover baby weight in the middle. I wore some shapewear for my midsection and an adhesive bra that made the outfit complete. Gorgeous, flattering, classy, classic, stylish, definitely made me feel famous. I was so concerned about my midsection and large chest, I got the 12R size as a backup and didn't even need it. If you're my size and a little leery about it, DO IT! I hope you won't regret it :) I wore this for my murder mystery birthday party with the theme of "1950s Hollywood Glamour" hence the red carpet. My mom decorated beautifully and the dress certainly set off the night at the "Bourbon Club" that night!! Definitely get this dress!

I saw this dress on RTR and didn't really think it was that great. It wasn't until I went shopping in a local department store and tried the dress on in person that I realized how spectacular this dress really is. Immediately I went online on my phone and ordered the rental dress. I was still in the fitting room! It feels magical when you put it on. Shipping was right on time! I wore this gown for my formal graduation party. It was old hollywood themed. I paired the dress with a bulky necklace and black gloves. The overall fit felt good. It was tight around my thighs, which I liked, and comfortable around my waist... I would have preferred it to be a little but tighter around my waist but I tend to have a size 0 waist, with size 2 hips and bust.. Before you rent this dress you must take in account that there is no back! So if you are chesty, you will need a special bra. I am a D cup but still ended up going bra less for my event but i still looked fine and structured. The 2 short was perfect for me with 4 inch heels. Even when the shoes came off for dancing, I never tripped on my dress! The trail is fabulous. It's grand, but so classy. I'm a small girl but by no means would I say I have a good body. This dress hid every bump and highlighted every curve. 5 stars. Omg soooo in love. RTR, thank u so much for making my night as fabulous as it could be!

This dress was not my first choice, but boy am I happy I chose it. Received compliments all night! Runs true to size, worn with a 4inch heel (no higher or you lose the floor length effect) . Rented this incredible dress for prom and couldn't have been happier (I'm STILL receiving compliments on the gown even a week later)! The quality was fantastic, the style was incredible and it fit like a dream! FYI, I wore 3" heels, otherwise I could have gone with the 2R size instead of a 2L. The train/bustle is classy without being bulky or dated. The material was soft and kept its smooth look even after sitting in a limo, etc, etc. Highly recommended (the dress AND RTR!)

This dress is stunning & fits snugly to every curve. I wore 2,5" heels which were the perfect height.

Fit me to the T!!! The only thing I was able to wear was a G string and adhesive bra underneath. I'm between a size 2 and 4. I ended up choosing the 2. But I'm also somewhat small framed so I would recommend a size up for anyone else.

I wore this gown to my senior prom, and everyone truly fell in love with it. From the two-toned, black and white fabric and the deep v-back, the dress was simple, but a definite statement. Nonetheless, the back of the dress added a nice touch of drama but did not take away from the simplicity of the gown. I wore three and a half inch pumps that allowed the dress to scrape the floor without it being too short or too long. I kept the accessories simple with chandelier earrings and a black clutch. Overall, this dress was beyond exceptional, and I received compliments all night. With that being said, I will be renting from RTR in the future. They have great customer service that soothed my apprehension during my first renting experience.

GORGEOUS!!! This dress is a stunner for sure! I will get super detailed about the fit/sizing etc. because there was little for me to go on based on the description listed and want to make sure everyone knows whats up! This is dress looks like satin in the image, but its actually a poly blend that looks and feels like taffeta/chantung - it's not a stretchy fabric. When the dress arrived, it had pretty noticeable packing lines throughout the dress - creases and all. I work at clothing boutique (thats where my pictures were taken) so I was able to steam most of them out. This fabric does not steam well - it really needs a press at a dry cleaners. Be aware that you may have to get some packing creases out when it arrives to you. Also, since its poly - it holds heat. So, if you are planning to wear this dress in hot temps, you'll sweat - powder down, choose another dress, or suffer through! There is a lot of fabric to sit down on, but you can swing it all to the side if its bothersome. I am a size 6 and wore an 8L. I HIGHLY recommend ordering your true size and the free option one size up. It's a slightly funny fit. The 8 was tight in the hips, but loose in the bust. If you are or below a B cup, you will need padding to fill out the bust space I padded up to a D and was fine. There are bones from the waist to the bust structuring the dress, but does not have a built in bra/corset.

Very glamorous gown for when you want to make an entrance. The bottom half is very big and heavy so not ideal for dancing, but gorgeous for a cocktail party or dinner. Probably could have gone one more size up as it's a bit right around the waist.

The gown is absolutely beautiful and it fits like a glove. I received so many compliments on how well it fit and how gorgeous it was. It arrived in immaculate condition and I had no issues with this dress. It's one-of-a-kind and I can guarantee you will be satisfied with this stunning gown. I highly recommend this rental and if you are tall and plan to wear heels, I also recommend you opting for the LONG in your respective size.

Worn to my senior prom and got nothing but good compliments. Overall fit was wonderful and looked beautiful in pictures and person. Only complaint would be that it was a little heavy and poofy so I ended up changing into a back up dress for the actual dance. First time user of rent the runway and I am definitely using this place again!

I have a large chest and still wore this dress without a bra. The straps were a little long, but I was able to pin them back with no problem. Super comfy and great for dancing!
