The inside lining is a thicker fabric so it stays in place nice so you dont have to adjust every time you walk. It also hits you in the right places for a nice form fitting and classy look. Loved this dress!

Beautiful I don't even want to take it off

I wore this for the jazz age lawn party in nyc and it was so much fun to wear! It has a slinky lining underneath that is a bit more form fitting since the lacy skirt can blow up, so it was good to know I wasn't going to flash anyone.

The design is gorgeous and so is the color. I had already rented the black tie version of this dress I'm strapless and floor length and loved both! The fit was perfect and comfortable for my baby bump.

I rented this for NYE. Great shape but ran a bit small. Also I expected sparkles and didn't realize it was just shimmering lace. Still really pretty dress though!

I'm short and curvy and usually wear between a 10 and 12 in dresses. The 12 fit me perfectly, with enough room to breath. The lace is a really pretty blue with a hint of gleam. The nude satin lining keeps the high neck from being too matronly (and the lining doesn't ride up at all). I wore a strapless bra but you could get away with a racerback bra if needed. All in all, a very pretty dress that is easy to wear and fun to dance in.

Wore this for a Great Gatsby event and the dress was perfect for the setting. I'm between a 2 and 4. This fit perfectly. I'm 5'5.5" and the length was just right. I was afraid it would be too short as other reviews, but it wasn't. I ordered a size 6 as a backup and didn't need to try it on.

I was worried about it being to short but it was the perfect length. The inner layer was shorter and did ride up a bit when I sat down but the outer lace layer covered everything nicely so you couldn’t tell. Awesome dress for curvy girls!

I wore this for a work cocktail party. Tons of compliments and felt sassy while wearing it! I did not have to wear a bra and felt like I had full coverage. Pretty true to size.

This isn't something I would normally wear but the consultant talked me into trying it on and it was amazing!!

Due to an "incident" I had 5 dresses to choose from, and this one was the winner. I am 5'5" and 140-145 lbs. My measurements are 34/26/39, which translates into 2/4 on top, 4/6 in the waist, and 8 in the hips. This dress would not have worked if I hadn't sized to my hips. I wore a strapless nude bra and felt fine all night. You could probably even get away with a standard bra as long as you have one of those hooks to bring the straps together in the back so they don't show. It is a little short when you sit down, but my husband said it was fine (and he's not one to want me to show off my kibbles and bits in front of his family, y'know?). My experience with RTR was wonderful and I cannot wait to find another reason to work with them again.

Fit great and very flattering.

I am not big on top so the dress fit me tight, but good. I probably would have liked one size larger so it would not have been so snug, but it was just that I rather have liked it looser for what I was going for. It was a pretty color and well received. I would definitely do this dress again for a "regular" occasion

This was intended to be my backup dress, but as the first one was wholly unflattering, I was REALLY glad I opted to get a backup. I am an 18 on top and a 16 on the bottom, so while the waist could have been a little more tailored before the drop waist, that's more of a body thing than a dress thing. I was initially worried that the drop waist would be too high and therefore little girl-esque, but it hit just right on my hips and really made for a nice retro look in a very current color and fabric. The embroidery is soft and not scratchy, and the drop waist enabled me to not need to wear shape wear. Comfortable, true to size, and really appropriate for black tie cocktail/dinner event.

One of the most beautiful dresses I have ordered! Loved every aspect of it! Figure flattering, true size, nice length and the lace is very elegant and simple, the nude lining makes the dress easy to match and since I'm very tall too, the low cut shape was great on me!

My first time with RTR. I'll admit I had my doubts but after reading the reviews had to try. Loved that this dress had a heavier yet stretchy lining. I could easily sit, eat and dance the night away at an outdoor fall wedding. Can't wait for my next formal occasion so I can get another dress!

I loved this dress nothing bad to say. I would say though that I am rather even in body shape all the way around so this fit was great for me. It isn't a very forgiving style though so if you are more curvy this is probably not the best choice just because it clings to your mid section and back and would show insecurities there. I am 5'7 and the dress was borderline too short but was still wearable. Other then this got lots of compliments and loved the dress.

My favorite RTR so far! Felt fabulous and confident. The satin lining does ride up when you sit down or bend over, but it was not an issue for me. A fun dress to dance in and looked great!

2nd size was reassuring!

This dress fit very comfortably when standing. I could have worn the 20 but it was shorter than expected, so I chose the 22 for a little more length. When I would sit down, the satin on the inside of the dress would roll up and I had to consciously pull it down, every time. Outside of that, I felt so pretty in this dress. I received so many compliments and made sure to let everyone know where to rent it. This dress was a hit - I just wish it was more comfortable when I sat down. I don't think I'll wear it again though. I wasn't as comfortable in this dress as I usually am in this designers dresses.

Usually wear a 6 but got this in an 8 because I was worried it would be short ... glad I got the bigger size Bc it ran small.

Very short in the back and if you're thicker torso like me, go 2 sizes up. Even still, a very cute dress. I did not wear it but will order it again.

Overall, a very pretty & classy dress. Love that the dropped waist gives it a bit of 20's flair - wish I'd accessorized better to accentuate that. I usually go for dresses that show a bit more skin, but this one was nice to wear with a conservative crowd. I also didn't need to worry about tan lines showing! The only things I didn't like were that the armpits pinched a tad by the end of the night, and the dress is a little more boring than I would have liked.

Rented this for my birthday. It was a backup dress to my original one that didn't fit. I ordered a size 12 and 14. I normally wear a 12 but that one didn't even zip up thanks to my boobs, 38DD. The size 14 was tight but still wore it tho I would have probably been more comfortable with a size 16. So I would say if your tatas are big, go up a size or two. Loved the navy and cream color combo & the beautiful pattern. Definitely will be turning heads in this little number!

Loved the design! I dont think it was the most flattering on me, but it was still beautiful and fun to wear. Not much stretch to the fabric. Definitely recommend for your next event.

Dress is a gorgeous design & super flattering fit. Size up. I'm normally a 14 but the 16 was a perfect form-fitting fit.

I'm usually a 0 but that was smaller than I expected and 2 fit perfectly. Was probably my shape and not the dress. Would look equally good & stylish on younger person as it did on me (early 50s).

Perfect fit, easy to where I'm perfect for any party or formal event.

This was my backup dress, but I loved it! Great color, coverage, length. I received tons of compliments on this dress and felt fabulous in it. It fits true to size in the waist, but I did find that the top fits snug. I am normally a size 8 and opted to wear the 10 merely to allow my shoulders/arms to be more comfortable.

I felt so good in this dress! The lining is thick and beautiful quality, and it just smooths out everything. The slightly dropped waist is super flattering, and adds emphasis to curves in all the right places. Will definitely pick this one up again soon!
