The 6 was a little tight in places, like under the arms. Also fabric has no give at all. But overall it's a georgeous dress and I got lots of compliments. Should have ordered an 8 as well.

Glad I read the other reviews! Does fit a little small, the dress is beautiful and different, I got lots of compliments on it! Great length even for a formal wedding. The fabric is not stretchy which makes it a little hard to dance, but makes the dress very flattering!

The 16 was a perfect fit, 18 too large in the bust. The fabric is heavy, but the night was cool, so perfect there too. This would have been too warm for summer weather. The embroidery is on a sheer net over the black base. It does not stretch, does not require special bra. I'm 5'6" and it fell to just above my ankle.

The arm holes are really unforgiving, and because there's somewhat coarse embroidery right up to the edge of the dress, I could immediately feel that my underarms would be rubbing against that fabric and getting irritated throughout the event. If you are someone who has ever had issues with armholes being too small, this dress is almost certainly going to fall into that category. Sad because it's so beautiful, but I personally couldn't sacrifice comfort for a lengthy wedding!

Perfect black sheath dress, but covered with jewel tone embroidered flowers. It is just lovely. And so unique. A surprise to all at my daughter's wedding - since I only wear black - to find this was a joy.

This fit pretty true to size, but I have a small bust and it looked strange without me wearing a push-up. The dress WAS pretty restricting for my stride, and I even had to pull it up a little to walk up some normal stairs...not ideal.

Fabric: Lovely fabric and embroidery. Fabric and lining are thick, which is great for body flattery and expensive feel, tho quite warm at an afternoon event. No stretch. Fit: I am usually an 8, with full hips and some tummy. The 8 in this dress was soooo close to working, but did pull around the hips. 10 was too big in my bust, but excellent on the lower half. I went with the 10 for comfort but could have probably gotten away with the 8.

I received this as an emergency backup and it turned out so well! I was worried about the fit, because my top and bottom half are very disproportionate, but I went with the 2 to fit me on top, and the rest worked out, too! It was not the easiest to move freely in, so I wore this dress for the ceremony and changed into a different one (also RTR) for the reception. Got lots of compliments! It photographs very well.

I am 5'8" and about 140 lbs. In nicer brands of clothing I typically wear a size 6. After reading the reviews of this particular style I ordered a size 8 and it fit like a glove. The dress is fully lined and was very warm - especially for an August day in Texas. I would rethink wearing it in this heat! The zipper is a little tricky due to the beautiful embroidery and I definitely needed a helper to manage it. The back slit in the dress wasn't quite long enough to allow for easy maneuverability in and out of cars. But it is a beautiful dress, well-made and I received many compliments.

I didn't want to do the normal pastel and frilly Easter dress so I went with this beauty and man am I glad I did! It's so cute. And actually really really comfortable. I got a ton of compliments!

Rented this for dinner out of town with my husband and another event in town. Very happy with how this fit, zipper was a little tough. Got compliments from the hostess as soon as I walked into the restaurant. I liked the length, very comfortable for the evening. Since I have a long torso, wish the waist seam was a little lower, but overall a great dress. Will wear it once more for a chef's table dinner, would definitely rent again.

The embroidery is so beautiful and even more vibrant than it looks like in the picture. It fits absolutely true to size on me, and I have wide hips and a big bust. the length hits at a tea length. Super flattering, I can't recommend it highly enough!

I loved this dress so much! The length was perfect even though I'm 6 ft. I got so many compliments on this throughout the event. I usually wear 18 but that wasn't available so got the 18w instead. It was nice for it to be a bit roomy in the bodice. Very comfortable for dancing!

Runs small, normally a 6 - wore a 10-keeping in mind I am also 14 weeks pregnant so assuming at least one size up regardless. The attached slip underneath is poorly hemmed so I had to safety pin it or else it is longer than the dress. Overall beautiful and a stand out dress without being too much!

This dress fit perfectly. Comfortable and easy to get on and off. The flower details are beautiful! Do not have to wear a bra.

The embroidery and colors are fab. I got a separate compliment from literally everyone in my office, and all my friends at dinner after work gushed over it. It fit so well that I decided to keep it! I usually wear a 2, but I'm glad I got the 4 because it fit like a glove. I think I will hem the bottom so that it stops below the print -- I think this will give me more options for footwear!

I've rented this dress twice I love it so much. The colors in the embroidery are gorgeous - the photo doesn't do them full justice - and make it something a little out of the ordinary, while the overall line is simple, classic and elegant. I am short and loved how the dress hit just above the ankle. Very flattering to a curvy figure - just enough hold to give shape, just enough stretch to forgive and be comfortable. Very happy!

This was the perfect dress for a mid-day wedding. It didn't cause head turns (which you never want at a wedding), but it did get quick glances (which is okay!). I would wear this again. I have a small waist and rather large hips, so I thought it was flattering.

Loved this dress! It runs small -- I generally wear a 6, and this is a very fitted 8. The details are extraordinary and received tons of compliments. The embroidery makes this dress so difficult to zip by yourself! I did the soap trick (rubbed bar soap on the zipper) and held the tiny zipper with a wash cloth for "traction"! Finally got it after quite an effort. If I wasn't as flexible or determined, I may not have worn it!!

The curve hugging style is complementary and the colorful embroidery is eye catching to others. Expect loads of comments asking "where did you get that?"

Loved this dress and wearing it but didn't end up wearing to wedding I rented for. The upcoming wedding I have is not very formal and the cut felt too conservative. Beautiful dress with beautiful colors which fit great. Too dressed up for my very business conservative office so I dressed down with denim jacket and heels for a baby shower. PS long for the shorter person. Came down to my ankles.

BEAUTIFULLY authentic! The attention to detail is amazing. The embroidery is very rich in color. The fit is very slimming and form fitting with just enough room in just the right places. I paired it with a blazer to wear to a funeral on a chilly day. The length of the dress is what makes it stand out as well.

Be prepared to be stopped a lot by people complimenting and wanting know about the dress. Beautiful detail. No need for accessories. Even without sleeves, the fabric is warm. It was great for a night in the 40s. You'll want to size up if you have larger hips/thighs.

This dress runs true to its size. It fits like a glove, but roomy a bit enough for me to wear a thin, sheer, black long sleeved blouse underneath for my sense of modesty. The dress is thick material, but only one thing is the zipper is tricky to zip up, so you might want to have a person to help zip you up in the back as I had one who did for me :) I would rent this again!

The overall fit is snug - Spanx were a must. The fabric is thick and has almost no give. The bodice was fitted but not tight; it can be worn with a regular bra. The zipper was a little tricky thanks to all the beautiful embroidery, but not impossible.

Ordered from RTR for nieces wedding. Loved this dress for so long so decided to get it. Ordered 18w with 16w backup and wore backup. Fit great. Material gives. Longer than I thought it was going to be. Zipper sticks a little and hem needed reironed but it was beautiful on. I want to own this dress.

I wore this colorful dress to a beautiful wedding that took place during Gay Pride Weekend. It was perfect for showing my support while also not being too literal and "rainbow." Fit like a glove and had a very high-quality expensive feel to the material. The only downside I can think of is that because of the tightness and length of the dress it was a little difficult to walk upstairs. Overall, the dress had beautiful embroidery and really made a statement.

I opted for a second size as I wanted to make sure the fit was right for me. Ultimately decided on the 8 as the 10 was a bit too loose in the hip and didn't hang as well. Wore this to a fundraiser gala for local nonprofit. Received many compliments, although that may have been due to seeing me in anything other than jeans and sneakers!
