I am 5' 4", currently 170 lbs (20 pounds heavier than normal). I was very nervous about how any dress would fit! I definitely thought I would need the 10 but I ended up wearing the 8. The style of the skirt was very forgiving... the majority of my weight is in my lower half and this dress hid that wonderfully. The dress is pretty conservative but I still got a ton of compliments!

Got a size 20, larger than I normally get but I like the fit! Super comfy, and of course super cute. I'm seriously thinking about buying it.

I wore this for a date night with my husband on new years eve. I got so many compliments, i was shocked because its just a simple black dress. The material is very heavy so perfect for winter. The sleeves were roomy and the length of the dress was perfect.

This dress was perfect for my work cocktail event. The bell sleeves and the drama of the lace and the fun full skirt made it a perfect pick for the night. I had to wear the 10 because the 8 wouldn't come close to zipping due to my chest area. If you're busty, definitely size up! The sleeves and shoulder area are a bit constraining so if you need lots of arm movement, size up!

This dress was true to size. I've actually rented it twice now (I should probably buy it because I love it so much). I wore it as the auctioneer at a gala and the bell sleeves were the perfect addition for someone who need to talk with their hands! I have gotten so many compliments each time I wore it!

This dress was beautiful. I loved the bell sleeves and sheer lace top. I wore my size down back up, mostly because the skirt had so much fabric, it looked bigger when I sized up so for that reason I would say it runs a little big, especially for the size down to fit me across the shoulders and back. Overall loved this dress!

This dress is AMAZING! I wore it to a black-tie wedding in DC and received so many complements. The fit was so flattering, and I felt like a princess wearing it. What a fabulous dress! I never realized what amazing fabric can do for a body type! This dress was gorgeous. It was so well made. It fit perfectly. It's a bit heavier so it is great for a winter event. I have a hard time finding dresses that I feel comfortable and confident in, but this covered both of those things. I had so many compliments on it. I highly recommend renting this dress.

The fit was snug on top but you could still move your arms well, flares at the waist which is flattering for girls with bigger hips/bum!!! (5.4 and 130lbs)

This dress was awesome, I got so many compliments! I wore it for a cocktail event for work. It's a very thick material which was great since it was cold outside. I wore Spanx with it but didn't really need to as it's very flattering. Wish I could buy it and wear again!

I wanted something with sleeves, but still youthful and fun and this dress totally delivered. I'm 5'8", so the size 6 ended up being a short, fun length on me which was a nice contrast to the high neckline and sleeves. The full skirt made the dress very comfortable for sitting and dancing. Just know that although the fabric is exquisite, some nice statement jewelry would really help it pop.

This dress was great and I received tons of compliments. The sleeves were a bit longer on me and the fabric was very heavy, so I skipped wearing tights and it worked out perfectly on a cool fall evening. The top is sheer, so don't forget to wear a strapless bra.

I was surprised and so happy it fit, because some of the 16's I tried on in the store did not. This fit really well and even gave me a little breathing room. I really liked the lace detail and bell sleeves. The weight is a tad heavy, but it didn't bother me much other than making me feel hot for parts of the evening. My only complaint (and it's minor) is that I wish the gold lining underneath looked more gold. Most people thought it was white lining and I wanted it to really pop as black and gold. Overall, I was very pleased with the dress and received many compliments. I definitely recommend it!

Dress fit well but was very heavy.

This dress was gorgeous on and was comfortable to wear for 8 hours. The slip underneath was a champagne color and the lace was a heavy lace, but still breathable. The ONLY thing that was really irritating about this dress was that the dress rubbed the base of my neck really bad. But I came up with a solution before I had to wear it & ended up putting a band aid right where the dress hit my neck & you couldn't even tell. Also, I do have a small chest & I felt the 2 was rather tight for having such a small chest. The dress does not stretch at all, so I couldn't really lift my arms up too high either.

Dress is cute but unless your hand is on your waist, the bell sleeves give you a kind of blocky silhouette. The lining didn’t show through as much as I hoped, so it was more of an entirely black dress that blended into the dark photo booth background.

I rented the 14 and 16w. The 14 was way too small in the bust and the 16w was extremely big in the bust. I ended up wearing the 14. I couldn't zip the back up all the way so I wore the dress partially zipped. You could not tell it wasn't zipped up. Not the best dress for big busted women. The dress is very well made and the details are beautiful. The lace is incredible, it has two layers on top of cream satin.

fit as expected and the weight of the lace was really great for a winter party.

This dress fit well at the bust, waist, and hips (I went one size up) and the fit looks great while I'm standing still with my arms down but when I move my arms the sleeves pull on the shoulders and bust and it gets weird quickly. I probably will not wear it before returning. The lace is good quality and the lining is a nice creamy gold color. It does look nice, just very restrictive for the arm movement which is a pet peeve of mine.

Dress wouldn’t zip over bc of big boobs. Very constricted in the chest area

It’s ok but it’s transparent and I couldn’t wear a regular bra. It was also a bit tight.

I'm not sure what event would be correct for this dress. It's black lace over a white lining, and quite dramatic. But I think it's too lacey and fancy for work, too black for a festive event like a wedding, and too conservatively cut for a party or date. I styled it for work with a big natural pearl necklace and drop earrings and black boots, and felt a bit overdressed all day.

Beautiful dress but the fit didn't work for me. The waist fit but I couldn't zip the top. I normally wear a 10 but would have needed to go to at least a 14 for the top and then I believe the waist would be huge

This dress is stunning but a little bulky for my petite ladies. Otherwise it fits really well. The sleeves / chest area is not flexible so definitely size up. I had to wear stickies to ensure it fit.
