This dress fits amazingly (does run small), and is great for a dress-up occassion, or everyday event. I ended up wearing it to church, but could dress it up or down. Would definitely rent/wear again.

I got SO MANY compliments on this dress for my holiday party! The 10 was too small, but the 12 fit like a charm. Had no problems all night with mobility, the arms weren't too tight, and the length was perfect for me. I was wearing a shaper for definition, but definitely did not have to have one. I wore a tulle petticoat for more volume, made it much more pretty! Extremely happy with my rental :)

This designer's dresses all run about the same size so if you're a 4 then you'll be the same size with another one of her dresses. A big snug on top so if you have a larger chest or arms it might be uncomfortable.

Wore this to a dinner event and it was very comfortable and classy. It was a little snug around my rib area, but because the dress was loose at the bottom it was tolerable.

I wear a size 12 and this was a size 12. Fit perfectly. Can’t wait to rent the runway again.

Absolutely beautiful dress! I ordered the 2 and the 4, but ended up wearing the 4. The arms are pretty slim, but that was my only issue with the dress! Very comfortable and easy to move around and dance in! Wore for a wedding and felt absolutely stunning!

Loved this dress! Beautiful color and figure flattering. On the shorter side and the arms were snug. Neither of these bothered me, but something to consider when sizing. The lining layer was substantial, but was not too warm for the warmer and somewhat humid day.

This was a great warm dress to wear for a fall wedding. I ordered the size 4 and 6, the 4 fit perfectly but there is no stretch so I went with the 6 which was perfect for moving and being comfortable while sitting. The color of the dress is weird because in this photo, and most of the photos I've seen, it looks like its magenta/fuchsia but in person it is definitely purple. Either way I was happy with this dress!

I wore this dress to a wedding outside in San Diego in October. I loved this dress so much, I wanted to keep it! Fair Warning: the lining is THICK!! So I would not recommend this for any outdoor event when you know it will be warm. I tend to be between size 8 and 10. While the 8 fit, the 10 fit better, but it is pretty true to size. It fit like a glove through the bust and the waist and flared out at just the right spot. The pockets were super helpful, too. Sleeves were a tiny bit tight, but nothing uncomfortable. It was a great dress to dance in and I received complements on it all night long. Would definitely rent again.

Well built dress! Agree that the inner lining on the sleeves tended to poke out (easy to stick it back in there) and made it hard to raise your hand over your head, but otherwise would rent this again.

As other reviews state, it did run smaller in the arms. We went out in early May and were outside for a good part of the night so the weight of the dress was perfect. It would definitely not be good for a hot summer day, the lining is pretty think, but for my night it was perfect, I didn't need a coat but wasn't too warm either. I received compliments from the moment we left on how gorgeous the dress was. I am very pear shaped and flat chested so this worked well, although was a tad big in the chest. But hid my big hips very well:)

The dress was gorgeous! I loved wearing it and felt like a movie star. I am usually a size 6 and ended up wearing the 8 that was my free second size. There is almost no up-and-down arm mobility but thankfully I didn't need to lift anything or move like that. I got many many compliments. And if you are curious about what exactly this purple looks like, it is the same purple that Episcopal bishops wear!

Sleeves were a little tight but manageable. Pockets wouldn't lay flat and were slightly unflattering to hips. But very convenient for cell phone and lip gloss!

This dress is so comfortable! The sleeves+length were perfect for our Southern town's outdoor, late-spring event. Beautifully made, the lining is nice & heavy. Only complaint would be that the lining in the sleeves can slip down below the lace, but the pockets more than make up for that. I had my phone & lipgloss in one pocket with ID in the other. I'm uncomfortable with my upper arms right now, so the style was nice. Deep purple is a little dark for spring/summer, but here I am in the spring & it was a great pick. I ordered the 10 & the 8, but the 10 was a perfect fit. Consider going up for your extra size.

I wore this dress for my #graduation from Florida State University. On the website it looked to be more garnet, but in person the color was more on the purple side, which was fine. The color was actually gorgeous and different from what most were wearing. The sleeves on the 4 were kind of tight so I went with the 6 and it fit perfectly with room to breathe. I got lots of compliments in the dress and felt beautiful in it! My overall experience was great and I will definitely be using RTR again!

A bit tight around the waist and arms

This was my first time ordering from Rent the Runway. I ordered the size 2 and 4 and even though I have always been a 2 the 4 seemed to fit better in my shoulders which tend to be a little wide. I loved the feel of this dress and how it flared out a little at the waist. I can't wait to rent again from Rent the Runway!!

This dress fit very true to size. I received many compliments on this dress and many commented on its brilliant color. The dress was fully lined, including the sleeves which made it very comfortable. A no-nonsense dress. A regular bra can be worn and it probably could even be worn without a necklace! It even has pockets!

I received a ton of compliments on this dress! It is a great color and made me stand out from the typical LBDs. I felt fantastic in it. Favorite part- there were pockets!!! :) It was nice and snug but not too tight.

I rented this for work and it was amazing! The sleeves were a little tight but it also stretched a bit with wear and felt very comfy. The skirt was long enough to conceal my microphone and battery packs (I'm a news anchor) and I loved the pockets. Got a ton of compliments on this dress and my only issue is that the fabric was very thick which made it a little warm under the lights on set. Will rent this again in other colors.

I wore this to my workplace's annual fundraiser and received a lot of compliments on the dress. I loved the bright plum color and the pockets. The 4 fit me well and it was in very good condition aside from just one or two loose strings on one seam. I was worried that the sleeves would feel tight after reading other reviews, but they were comfortable. However, if I had been dancing/raising my arms above my head, that would have been difficult. The whole process was really easy and fun!

I needed a ladylike dress to wear to my future sister-in-laws afternoon tea bridal shower. I was cohosting, so it was important that I had free range of movement while still looking somewhat sophisticated. This dress for the bill perfectly: conservative cuts, beautiful lace, and a full skirt that kept me covered while running around/bending over. The dress even has hidden pockets that allowed me to store my cell phone so that I wasn't holding it in my hand in between taking pictures. I highly recommend this dress for an event where you don't want to have to worry about continuously fixing your hem, straps, spans, etc. The fit was also true to size but would be great for pear shaped ladies since the skirt is roomy.

A little tight in the sleeves , but not too bad . Definitely well- made . Not too short (hits just above the knee). Great dress ! I wore it with a belt to give it a little something extra.

The bottom was more wide/poofy than I expected but still very, very pretty.

The dress fit nicely, it was a little tight in the bust but I just chose a bra with less padding so it wouldn't be uncomfortable. I love the pockets! I'm borderline obsessed with dresses that have pockets :) It hit right above of my knee which was perfect seeing as though this was a family-friendly event. Overall I loved it!

I did not end up wearing this dress because I just thought the other one was better for the occasion, but this one was beautiful! It was very comfy and the color is even lovelier in person. I just thought it came off as more day than night. Loved it!
